So I'm a minor on the asexual spectrum (not entirely sure where on the spectrum but I'm definitely on it). I looked at the asexual tag and saw some p#rnographic stuff accidentally.

There are adults who thought it was a good idea to post p#rnographic videos (using the asexual tag) on tumblr without a warning of any kind.

PLEASE remember that there are KIDS -I repeat KIDS- on tumblr who can easily stumble across this unintentionally.

There are also adults who have TRAUMA related to s#x.

PUT A WARNING before any p#rnographic material.

I've recently discovered so much about myself. I've learned exactly what aesthetic attraction is and have learned that I am panaesthetic. I would also like to add that I'm a homoromantic graysexual. Still trying to figure out my gender but for now it's just gender queer. It makes me very happy to know exactly who I am. For the longest time I had issues understanding the differences between romantic and aesthetic attraction but now I know! For once I feel really confident in myself. Happy pride month everyone!

Gray asexual meaning:

A sexual orientation on the asexual spectrum, referring to those who relate to asexuality, yet feel that there are parts of their experience that aren't fully described by the word asexual. Greysexual can be used as a specific identity, or as an umbrella term for any ace-spec identity that isn't purely asexual, including demisexual and others

Kunio:

1.) Kunio is a heavy drinker with a ridiculously high alcohol tolerance. He prefers expensive cocktails, as cheap alcohol, especially cheap wine, reminds him too much of his mother. He’s partial to vodka martinis, but also enjoys appletinis and yellow birds

2.) He’s neither a cat person nor a dog person—He’s a bird person. If you get him talking about his pet parakeet, Lucky, he will not shut up about him. He loves his foul-mouthed little parakeet as if he’s his child

3.) He was terrified of women as a child, and he got in a lot of trouble at school because he would yell at female teachers and throw chairs at them when they approached him in an attempt to get them to back off, as he was scared that they would hit him or lock him in the closet like his mother did. To this day, he will not let any women touch him, not even his female friends

4.) He wants to get into sport climbing, and one of the reasons why is because he wants to build some muscle. He wants to be able to carry Nathaniel bridal style

Nathaniel:

1.) Nathaniel is canonically demiromantic. He initially thought that he was aromantic, but since he got moved around a lot due to being in foster care, he never got close enough to anyone to develop a crush on them, that was, until he met Theo, his ex, and the only boyfriend he has had aside from his current boyfriend, Kunio

2.) Nathaniel is a monogamous hoe, if that makes any sense. He’s a prude when he’s single, but when he gets locked down, he’s a freak in bed. The things he’s into would make even the most hardcore fanfiction writer blush

3.) Nathaniel’s abdomen is covered in scars. One is from his kidney transplant, and the others are from self-harming in the months leading up to his suicide attempt. The suicide attempt is the reason why he needed a kidney transplant

4.) Nathaniel’s dream home is a Victorian house out in the country. He dreams of cultivating a rose garden and walking to a nearby village to buy freshly baked bread from a local bakery every morning

Ariel:

1.) Ariel loves magical girl anime, and her favorite anime is Precure. Her favorite seasons are Go! Princess Precure, Heartcatch Precure, and Fresh Pretty Cure, in that order. Precure is the reason why Ariel dreamt of becoming a magical girl all throughout her teenage years and in her early 20s. Now that she’s a magical girl, she will criticise magical girl anime for their inaccuracies about what being a magical girl is really like

2.) She despises the show Friends, as she believes it to have tarnished the name of her benefactor, Phoebe. She hates that when most people hear the name Phoebe, they think of a character from a mediocre 90s sitcom, and not the titan of prophecy and intellect

3.) Ariel is a surprisingly good swimmer, and her preferred stroke is butterfly. Weirdly, she finds it much easier than breast stroke or front crawl

4.) She hates coffee, and she also can’t stand tea, except for matcha, which she loves. Her fuel of choice when she’s working is white chocolate protein shakes

Solana:

1.) Solana doesn’t have a good relationship with either of her parents. Her dad was never in the picture, and her mom is extremely judgemental and overbearing. She calls often, but Solana rarely, if ever returns her calls

2.) She loves romance novels, especially friends to lovers romance novels. If the MCs don’t adore each other right from the start, she will not be interested. Conversely, she hates enemies to lovers books, and avoids everything containing that trope like the plague

3.) Solana is graysexual. She’s ok with sex every once in a while, but could honestly go the rest of her life without ever having sex again, and she rarely experiences sexual attraction.

4.) Her all-time favorite games are Black Star and Oshi, both of which were created by Ariel, but she doesn’t know that until just after the halfway point of the story…

Let’s start with Peter Hart

Facts about Peter:

Shot himself through the back of his calf as a teenager. He got scolded relentlessly for it by Davey and Georgie who were quick to patch him up.

Before getting with Benjamin, I put Peter down as “treasuresexual” Yeah. Really. 😂He didn’t have any eyes for anyone other than Benjamin, making Peter canonically homosexual.

His moniker “Peter The Golden” holds many meanings. To rival pirates and ports, it’s on account of his golden hair and black-and-gold aesthetic. To his crew family, he is “The Golden Hart”

Peter was always a rascal from early youth to adulthood. Often times, Peter would get caught and arrested for pickpocketing residents in his hometown. Sometimes, Officer Ralph would bring Peter home to his scolding mother in metal cuffs. Other times, Peter spent the night in the clink. Due to his mischief, Officer Ralph and Mary Hart became acquainted with each other often, and eventually got together.

Facts about Benjamin:

Has an insanely high alcohol tolerance. He got used to the wine and frivolities of parliament when he was around all the royals.

Is bilingual in English and French. He can hold conversation with another bilingual crewmate Jacques du Lorraine. He’s also hurled insults at Peter in fluent French, causing Jacques to nearly double over in laughter.

Is the shortest and smallest member of The Golden Phoenix Gang. Most members of the crew are around Peter’s height of 196-199cm, though with VASTLY different builds (Davey has more of a dad bod, and Peter is just ripped). Benji, on the other hand, rests at 170cm with a very thin build. Canonically, he is a twink.

Is both the luckiest and unluckiest member of The Golden Phoenix Gang. In a tabletop game, he would either roll 1s or 20s. Nothing in between 😂

Moving on to YWIMC:

Facts about Noah:

Is originally from a small farm town in Georgia. He took voice lesson training to try and hide his southern accent, but when Noah lets his guard down and gets comfortable, it can sometimes slip through.

Double majoring in History and Architecture. He’s 23 and already in grad school, which should say a thing or two with how hard he works himself and almost can work off of fumes alone

Has Autism Spectrum Disorder (level 1). This is canon and heavily alluded in the story from his sensory processing difficulties, to his aversion to crowds, social anxiety, hyper focus on his studies, special interest in bridges and architecture, difficulties in expressing emotions, and finding the comfort of home to be his most productive and happiest space. ASD can be expressed differently in other people (I have it), so I pulled from my own experiences to write Noah here.

Facts about Ali:

Ali had a rich father who tried to get him to be a sultan/powerful influential figure in Saudi Arabia. His father arranged a marriage for Ali, who fled the day of.

Is a practicing Muslim. He is halal, observes Ramadan, and yes—prays from the Quran. A lot of his character is identity struggles; his religion says that his sexuality is sinful, but that’s how Ali was born, and that’s what makes Ali happy. This creates an internal conflict with how he tries suppressing his desires, and often wonders if he should have sacrificed his own happiness to appease his father, and his god. This dichotomy is very complicated, and has been a challenge to write….but he will get a happy ending with Noah 👍

Has had previous masters with wicked hearts die horrific and ironic deaths. For example, one of his masters wished for 70 wives who were all virgins. His death? Stabbed 70 times while he slept, each wife stabbing him once. Another master wished for glorious fame and fortune, only for dissenters to stone him to death. Ever heard of the tale of The Monkey’s Paw? That applies here.

All aspec folks:

I'm atomoromantic and I've only felt attraction towards a girl, which made me think I'm inclined sapphic, but I'm also graysexual and these attractions happened towards very specific man (only two) and the girl mentioned before, so, do you have any ideas about what I may be? I know I don't need to label myself, but my autistic ass likes labels. (I also feel very unconfortable when I think about sex or feel sexual attraction, so it confuses me even more)

Graysexual/romantic is still having attraction, but it's significantly reduced compared to non-aspec people. Demisexual/romantic is a complete lack of attraction until you've gotten a strong connection with a person beforehand, then feelings can develop.

From what you've described, it sounds closer to demisexual/romantic, but only you can say for sure.

As a side note, you can get "physical" and still be asexual. Being asexual means you don't feel sexual attraction, not that you don't have a libido.

As well, don't worry about using the label wrong now. If it turns out that it doesn't fit you, understandable, best of luck finding one that does, but don't worry about misusing the label.

so i have only very recently thought of myself as aroace, and while I know its a spectrum, it still feels like im using the label wrong. i have a boyfriend who i love and cherish very dearly (and we definitely get physical), but like, hes the ONLY person I have ever felt that way about.

can i still be aroace? i feel so bad using aroace because of this but it also just, feels right.

I didn't come out as Aegosexual/romantic for two reasons.

(the bigger part) I didn't know about aegosexuality/romanticism when I came out and

I don't think they fully understand asexuality/aromanticism, and I didn't want to confuse them more with what (in my opinion) is one of the more confusing microlabels

I'm thankful that they did accept me, but still, I don't want to try to explain that I do feel sexual/romantic attraction, but I can't be a part of the relationship in a sexual/romantic way.

I typically refer to myself as asexual because it's easier than saying that I'm somewhere on the ace spectrum, and I'm not really sure exactly where but it's closer to asexual than alosexual, and the labels "demi" or "grey" don't really feel like they fit me either. Ace is the default way I go about my life. Sometimes that changes but I haven't found a concise word that accurately describes that feeling yet.

Asexual labels explained using cereal

You are in a kitchen, opening a pantry door. It contains every brand of cereal in existence.

Libido- How hungry you are

Sexual Attraction- How appealing each cereal is to you

Sex-Repulsed- The mere act of eating cereal disturbs you. You flee the kitchen to watch Netflix instead.

Sex-Indifferent- Someone brings you a bowl of cereal. Even though you don’t crave cereal, you decide to eat some anyway. Maybe because you want the person to feel happy you’re eating something they provided you. Maybe you’re just that hungry. Regardless, you’re fine with eating it since it’s already there. If it wasn’t, you wouldn’t care either.

Sex-favorable- Though you don’t particularly crave cereal, the act of eating cereal is enjoyable. So enjoyable, you go through the trouble of picking a brand to eat.

Asexual with low/no libido- You are rarely hungry, and none of the cereal appeals to you.

Asexual with average/high libido- You are often hungry, but none of the cereal appeals to you.

Aegosexual-  Eating cereal sounds fun in theory but not in practice. You certainly have no interest in eating cereal yourself. You’d rather fantasize about other people eating cereal, thankyouverymuch. 

Gray Asexual- You only like Lucky Charms and Apple Jacks. And maybe Fruity Pebbles but you’re not quite sure.

Demisexual- You see a box of Trix. You are familiar with the rabbit on the box, due to the commercials you’ve seen. You always sympathized with the rabbit for never getting any Trix. There are things in life you’ve wanted but have never gotten. You feel a bond with the rabbit. Suddenly that box of Trix looks tasty.

Fraysexual- You see a box of Cocoa Puffs. You have never heard of Cocoa Puffs in your life. But something about it is oh-so-appealing. You pour yourself a bowl. As you start to eat, you catch a commercial for Cocoa Puffs on TV. You now know what the mascot on the box is like. You lose interest in Cocoa Puffs for reasons you cannot explain.

Lithosexual- You notice a box of Fruit Loops. You feel an urge to eat it. Toucan Sam comes to life and asks you to eat them. This makes you uncomfortable, so you leave to watch Netflix with the sex-repulsed ace.

Reciprosexual- You have no interest in any of the cereal. Not even that box of Frosted Flakes. But Tony the Tiger shows up wanting you to eat the Frosted Flakes. Now that he wants you to eat Frosted Flakes, you want to eat Frosted Flakes. 

Cupiosexual- You want to eat cereal, but none of the cereal looks appealing. Maybe if you grab that box of Corn Flakes, it’ll become appealing to you later? It’s happened to other people. You consider grabbing that box of Corn Flakes, just in case.

Orchidsexual- Some of the cereal looks appealing, but you have no interest in eating cereal.

Aceflux- None of the cereal looks good, so you close the pantry. A few days later, you decide to open the pantry again. Now, some of those brands look appetizing. You check the pantry again the next day. None of the cereal looks good anymore.

Quoisexual- You have no idea if you like a cereal because you want to eat it, or if you just think the box art is pretty. Does liking the box art count as wanting to eat it? Do you just like the mascot? Does liking the mascot count as wanting to eat the cereal? After reading everything I’ve written, you are still confused. You bang your head against the pantry in frustration.

Kinda weird, but I’ve always headcanoned Vox as being a low-libido graysexual. I imagine that he’s not fond of sex, and has to be very careful about it because TVs and fluids don’t mix, and his flatscreen head would probably break if you kissed him too hard

Isn’t it worrisome that so many people think being lgbt+ is a choice?? They think we choose stress, oppression, hatred, discomfort, rejection, violence, death, depression, anxiety, dysphoria, discrimination, ridicule, invalidation, and all the other things we’re faced with. It’s crazy.
