She never mentions feeling unsatisfied with being single or wanting a relationship (or sex) for herself. She is very enthusiastic about matchmaking and helping others get in relationships, though.

I always listened to it as a romantic relationship, but through the lens of robots somehow feeling something, but that could be chalked up to my ageoromanticism talking, and most likely combined with the fact that I've never actually been in a QPR (not opposed, I'm just young, and haven't meet anyone I would want to try it out with).
Thinking so hard about how good “I Don’t Have A Name For It” by Steam Powered Giraffe represents aromantic relationships, especially aroace QPRs, because I don’t have a name for it and I’ve been TRYING to find a name for it and I don’t think there’s a name for it but it’s kiiind of like being in love :3, like??? It just fits so well with every relationship I’ve ever had
If you are on the Aro-specturm and the Ace-spectrum, then yes, you can call yourself aroace.
Your sexual orientation does not always need to be your romantic orientation, so Asexual and Demiromantic or Cupiosexual and Aromantic, is just as valid as someone who is Cupiosexual and Cupioromantic or Aegosexual or Aegoromantic.
I HAVE A QUESTION
So, can people who are on both the Aro Spectrum and Ace Spectrum call themselves AroAce?
For example, could someone be Demisexual and Aromantic and still call themselves AroAce?
Or someone who's Asexual and Demiromantic?
Or someone who's Cupiosexual and Cupioromantic?
What about people who are Cupiosexual and Aromantic?
These are only a few examples, but I think you get my point.
I'm Demiromantic and Asexual and I call myself AroAce because 1- It's easier to say and 2- I feel like I can say I'm AroAce.

Depends on the person. For aros who are romance averse, hell no, for those who are indifferent, then it probably depends on the quality of the fluff itself, with romance favorable aros being more inclined to like reading fluff.
Then there's also Aegoromantic. For us, we eat that stuff up. For those who don't know, an aegoromantic is someone who experiences romantic attraction, as long as it doesn't include themselves. So we'll obsess over a ship we like, but we don't feel attraction when the relationship includes us. Like most aro-sepc labels, there is also an ace-spec version that means the same thing but for sexual instead of romantic attraction (Aegosexual). So yes, I like reading fluff and I'm aromantic.

I didn't come out as Aegosexual/romantic for two reasons.
(the bigger part) I didn't know about aegosexuality/romanticism when I came out and
I don't think they fully understand asexuality/aromanticism, and I didn't want to confuse them more with what (in my opinion) is one of the more confusing microlabels
I'm thankful that they did accept me, but still, I don't want to try to explain that I do feel sexual/romantic attraction, but I can't be a part of the relationship in a sexual/romantic way.

the aromantic community is really alienating to anyone who isnt the perfect aromantic
for one, they have to be asexual. they also have to be alloplatonic. they have to hate romance. they have to hate shipping. they have to think friendship is inherant to the experience of life. they have to be aplphobic, intentionally or not.
hi, i'm an aromantic who loves romance and shipping. this doesnt mean i hate being aromantic. i'm also asexual and alloplatonic! but just because i support aroallos and aplatonics, i feel uncomfortable in the aromantic community and aromantic spaces.
i know and love aplatonics, aroallos and non repulsed aromantics. and the aro community revolves around friendship and sex repulsion (specifically the aroace community, which seems to think it's the only aromantic experience) and romance repulsion.
i would also like to mention that the asexual community is the same about alloaces, and of course theres the aroace overlap where they all hate apls.
being aroace while not being repulsed and not being aplphobic is alienating. it fucking shouldn't be. accept that some of us have a different experience and some of us don't think friendship is universal or inherant to the aromantic experience. does any of this make sense.
