This is me being on my EPIC brain rot, I'll go back to HatchetField at some point. ANYWAYS

So in Jorge's newest TikTok video he gave us a hint on who is animating legendary. A lot of people think it's Gigi due to the hint being "omnomnomnom" and her just finishing Scylla. But I believe it's referring to the lotus eaters and either Mircsy or El_Crafts who animate it.

I SPECIFICALLY BELIEVE ITS REFERRING TO THE LOTUS EATERS BECAUSE OF THE ONE GUY WHO GOES " om nom nom nom " IN OPEN ARMS. ITS SUCH A SMALL PART AND VOICE BUT THAT'S WHAT I BELIEVE.

I also think it can't be WolfyTheWitch because they commented on Jay's reference video for Legendary. And I believe Gigi is gonna animate the God Games.

I need to subject you all to my analysis on Odysseus and specifically the line " I see a man who makes it home alive, but it's no longer you " in " No longer you "

Cutting for Wisdom Saga spoilers, and also it's fairly sad. With the accompaniment of my theory on what the last bit says in ' No longer you '

OKAY SO

Odysseus has changed in many ways from " No Longer You ". He finally decided he would become a monster to make it home to his wife and son. He made the choices he could to make sure as many people could make it home (like sacrificing 6 men to Scylla so the rest could survive.) he's tired and worn, both physically and mentally. But he can't rest until he makes it home. Everytime he let himself rest something has gone wrong. So when the God of Thunder tells him to either kill himself or kill his crew. Be changes. Not only was he betrayed AGAIN from Eurylochus in the entirety of Mutiny, but now he has to make the choice to kill his brother. It changes a man.

If the lyrics really ARE " Island Love ". We hear how worn Odysseus is in " Love in Paradise ". He still hasn't let himself rest, because this Goddess is tormenting him. Not only that, but he is haunted. He is haunted by his crew, his friends, his brothers. Even his mother. Before he couldn't close his eyes because he would see them. But now all he wants to do is close his eyes. He's all but given up. He's accepted he can't see Penelope. This Island is his end.

I don't know about you but ever since those really intense suicidal thoughts I have changed. Now I was given a second chance I fight harder. He hasn't gotten his second chance yet, but he's about to, with the Goddess of Wisdom "risking her life" for him.

I love the idea that instead of Jorge accidentally writing "12 long years", Odysseus just genuinely doesn't know how long it's been. Not because he's bad at math, no, but because he's been gone for so long. It feels like so much longer because every day to him hurts and feels like it drags on now without his Penelope or Telemachus. 10 years feels like 12 when the two people you love the most can't be with you.

What's gonna happen to this blog after Epic ends?

I’m going to keep it and keep posting! Epic isn’t going to disappear after the sagas stop releasing, and I won’t stop being a fan of the musical either!! The blog just might not have as many new updates on stuff, but I believe there is always more to discover, and take note of! Plus I believe this musical has a long future outside of the concept sagas, in terms of future adaptations, and much more!! (In short I’m here to stay!)

Bro is just a man

Something I've been thinking of. Assuming it takes at least a few days (if not longer) to get to Scylla from where the sirens are, they would have to make the choice of keeping those sirens alive or dead.

If they're dead, they may start to rot, and idk if Scylla wouldn't accepted them rotten. She might've felt disrespected by a rotten sacrifice and attacked the whole ship anyways.

If they're kept alive.. Well the crew would have to keep them alive. And more importantly, on the ship. They would likely have to keep the beeswax in their ears the whole time they sailed, which I imagine is not a great option considering everything they've already dealt with and continue to deal with.

It's not a bad idea, there's just a lot that would have had to be considered. Either that or I'm overthinking again. Idk it's 1am and I'm in Epic brainrot mode.

That's true, that's very true.....

But is no one going to talk about how her calling him "Ody" was likely just as bad? Eurylochus wasn't just Odysseus's friend and second in command, that was his brother. Not just in Odysseus calling him that, but in-law as well, he was married to Odysseus's sister, something that likely wouldn't have happened if Odysseus didn't have a lot of trust in him. "Ody" was likely a name only Eurylochus and possibly Ctimene called him.

Also in the illiad Odysseus constantly refers to himself as Telemachus' father like "If I don't show honor here, then I can no longer be called as Telemachus' father" and I find that so sweet

I will never get over the fact that Athena’s first line in We’ll Be Fine is “I had a friend before, and he was a lot like you” instead of “you are a lot like him”. It’s almost like Athena is treating Odysseus as the “loving father of Telemachus” instead of Telemachus as merely “the son of Odysseus”. I AM NOT OKAY
