Will Kolya be happy to give his body to Fyodor? Not as an act of revenge against morality. But as a present from one friend to another.
Before that, Gogol didn't have anything Fyodor could appreciate. Neither his philosophical jokes nor whimsical emotions ever touched Fyodor in a way he wanted.
But now, Kolya has something Fyodor can grow to like. Nikolai's body with no soul inside. A new vessel ready to go! This is something his dearest friend will enjoy.
Dostoevsky might even thank him for disappearing! Isn't it amazing, indeed? Now Gogol won't have to fear his friend dying and leaving him behind. It's delightful, it makes Kolya want to fly!

Pros: + You can finally make Fedya wear your clothes! Even your hat ๐ฉ You always wanted to see him in it. But he refused to swipe outfits. Well, no more.
+ Your body is gonna carry Dos-kun inside, as if you're giving him a giant hug ๐ค๐ซ Your flesh will become a candy wrapper for the sweetest, most demonic entity.
+ You'll never fear being separated from your friend ever again. That awful feeling in your chest โ it will go away ๐
+ You won't have to rack your brain over ways to get Dos-kun's attention ๐ No more sleepless nights spent coming up with charades to catch his gaze. Now Fedya will have to โseeโ you every day. You'll become his new shell. So, little demon will be stuck with you forever.
+ Fedya might even smile, while taking over your body ๐ And you can even manage to smile back, before your face will be pilled away
Cons: โ You'll never experience any of this from your own perspective (and you wish you could so, so badly)

Bill Cipher, โthe Book of Billโ:
"... I don't need anyone, I NEVER HAVE, and I DON'T MISS ANY OF THEM! I'M FINE!".

Fyodor Dostoevsky, โCharacter card letterโ:
โI'm always alone. And this is fine by me. Has been, and always will beโ.

Yes, they're both โfineโ. Only Bill screams into the void, and Fyodor becomes one.
So what do we have here? Two infinity-old almost-immortal demons, who destroy themselves just to prove they can be alone forever.
Spoiler alert: they can't. And they despise the vulnerability that's still left inside of them.
Well, at least Bill's in therapy. But he is also at the point of breaking. Fyodor is still holding on, I guess? But barely.

TW: suicide
What if, Gogol's suicidal plan allowed him to โliveโ longer? With the end in sight, he didn't have to die right now. Even if existing was unbearable, he didn't have to end it right then and there. When guilt was eating him from the inside, he could still bear it for a while to get a better finale.
Was Nikolai being suicidal eased his consciousness a bit too? The fact that he was going to die via a brutal, painful death made it easier for him to hurt other people and live day by day.
Nikolai's suicidal ideation was a temporary antidote to his self-hatred. Gogol ate his favorite piroshki, joked around with Fyodor, went to workโฆ All while having a thought : โIt's ok to do those things, to enjoy life, even if I'm a horrible person who deserves to die. But I'm gonna die soon, so it's alright to laugh now and pretend to have fun. It's ok to act as if I can function normally and fit into the society like everyoneโ.
I wounder, if Fyodor has the same coping mechanism. A promise to die once he finishes his plan, makes doing evilโฆ less unbearable? Does it make easier for him to live with himself?

I wounder, how Nikolai felt, when he realized he couldn't choose death. Did he hate himself for wanting a friend so badly, he couldn't do the โrightโ thing and liberate himself?
Or was Gogol secretly hoping that Fyodor would offer him another way forward, an alternative, without death, pain and torture?
So Nikolai followed Dostoevsky to the end of the earth, hoping to get a response. But Fyodor didn't know it too. His answer was to kill, and kill again. Everyone who opposed him must be eliminated. Gogol could only smile sadly, realizing his friend, too, was stuck in his ways.
But maybe now, when the world is split open and filled with bubbly foam, Nikolai will find another path forward? The one that would allow him to seak freedom, without taking lives from others or forsaking his own?

It's interesting how Fyodor positions himself towards Fukuchi, whom he calls a โDevine beingโ. Fukuchi or Amenogozen, as he is now, is the closest thing to โGodโ we can have on earth. And Fyodor is absolutely thrilled to control this DIY Devine Bring. Is it a blasphemy? Maybe. But let's look at what Amenogozen is.

How did Fukuchi turn into him? What happened to Ouchi's mind to make him act like he does now?
Amenogozen is Fukuchi's desire to get rid of suffering amplified. Ouchi used to see the whole world's agony as his own. Now he is a literal embodiment of everyone's pain, big or small.

Amenogozen has only one instinct โ to turn everyone into bubbles and store them inside himself. He isn't just killing them, he โeatsโ their souls as well. When Fukuchi erases a person in this way, all of their suffering becomes his (along with their memories and identity), thus giving their souls piece.
Amenogozen isn't explicitly hateful or cruel, but he is also far from human. He seemed to genuinely empathize with Teruko and, especially, Kunikida, during his last moments. He saw their anguish, sensed it (Teruko's grief, Kunikida's fear along with wounds). And Devine being thought he would help them. He would erase their suffering.

This is what Amenogozen sees as his mission: to kill every person, swallow their pain and โsaveโ them by turning them into pure emptiness (in a cloud of bubbles, yes).
Gozen grew to respect Kunikida during their brief interaction. He even acknowledged that Doppo's ideas can transcend death itself. And yet, Fukuchi still decides to kill him. Because he sees โdeathโ as the kindest option for every living being.

It seems like Ouchi came to this decision during his transformation. For us, it all happened in a few seconds, but for him, it probably lasted for centuries. He travelled through time and space indefinitely, until he became a Singularity. From outside it looked like a brief flash of light, but it continued for eternity in his mind.

Off-screen, Fukuchi went through a psychological torture like no other. He was forced to observe everything that happened to humanity, while being outside time and space, unable to do anything. Of course, he saw an immense amount of pain history is filled with.
Ouchi watched it unfold in front of his eyes, like a helpless disembodied ghost, unable to die or let go. He, who thought of himself as a warrior, was forced to be a bystander to everyone's agony. It all continued indefinitely and was extremely traumatic. Eventually, Fukuchi discarded what was left of his humanity and became โGodโ to survive seeing all the visions of pain.
As a result, suffering became the only focus of his broken mind.

I think this what Dostoevsky has hoped for. Because he came to the same conclusion after living for centuries. โDeath is the ultimate salvation, and nothing else can helpโ. So Fyodor hijacked Fukuchi into the same mindset by overloading his brain with the images of agony.
Now, Amenogozen sees pain as life. They are inseparable from each other from his view point. So his goal transforms into erasing all suffering, by erasing all life on Earth. Fukuchi wants to be the one who bares the whole world's agony, while everyone's soul rests peacefully within him in the blissful oblivion.

Amenogozen is a twisted, distorted caricature of Jesus. He takes on everyone's pain by killing them. It's a befitting path for an ex-war criminal.
And what about Fyodor? Does he call Amenogozen โdevineโ just because of his immense power? Dostoy certainly enjoys watching Yokohama being cut into pieces. But that's not only it.

Fyodor nicknamed his new weapon "Devine power" based on his philosophy about God.
Fukuchi isn't entirely gone. His motivation is what drives Amenogozen forward. Singularity craves to erase every source of pain / life, so much that he is ready to become a sinner, a monster, an empty void.
Just like Fukuchi in the past Gozen uses his body until he doesn't resemble a human anymore.
Ouchi lost his sanity due to his immense desire to free people from Samsara. Now he is a literal monster, but he is still trying to help and "save" everyone from pain, albeit in a twisted brutal way.
And this what makes him so close to a โdevine powerโ.
Because to Dostoevsky, God is someone who encapsulates everyone's pain, carries everyone's burden. Just like what Fyodor tries to do as his loyal servant.
Despite this, I think Fyodor calls Amenogozen โGodโ ironically. He doesn't see Fukuchi as such, but he โcomplimentsโ him for trying. Because Dostoevsky realizes how truly selfish this newly formed โDevine beingโ is.

Before everyone's salvation, Amenogozen desires oblivion. He wants to disappear. But, just like Fukuchi, he can't do that, until his mission is entirely complete.
Amenogozen sees everyone's pain as his own. So he erases it repeatedly, as if it can save him. He can't distinguish his own soul from everyone else's, so he kills himself again and again through others, but still remains alive.
Amenogozen seeks relief through self-distraction, something to what Dostoevsky relates too much.
And Fyodor smiles because he knows: real God is only yet to arrive.

As if now Dostoevsky can give Amenogozen any kind of order. So why not to ask him to kill Fyodor?
Right now there is no need for that, since Mr.Demon is winning. But Dazai and Ranpo are only about to arrive, Atsushi is yet to unite his forces with Akutagawa. Things can get heated very fast, and whatever advantage Fyodor has will be nullified.
If Dostoevsky is close to being defeated he can ditch Bram's body and get a new vessel with a built-in power. It would still be a gamble, though. There is always a chance Fyodor can turn into bubbles like everyone before.
But what if "Crime and punishment" counters Singularity? Then Fyodor would get a new fit and a terrifyingly strong ability (since it's probably linked to Amenogozen's physical form and if Dostoy inhabits it, he'll get a hold of it too).
Dostoevsky already expressed attraction to Fukuchi's powers as a devine being.
Why not become the one who actually wields them?
Amenogozen!Fyodor? Am I even ready for this? I don't know.

Dostoevsky hates having feelings. They remind Fyodor about his own humanity. So how does he cope? He projects his feelings onto God.
Every time he experiences an emotion, either positive or negative, he pretends that it's some kind of โGod's messageโ.
Fyodor believes that all of his emotions belong to God or come from him. Demon assumes: all that he feels is reflection of God's will.
โMy ability hurt me and made me feel wrong. Of course, God wants to remove all the abilities in the world!โ โ something like that.
Dostoevsky can't allow himself to be angry, sad, bitter, or jealous. He sees emotions as excessive and would never acknowledge the simple fact that he has them.
But what If something upsets God? Then, Fyodor has to act. It's not for him, it's not selfish, it's for the sake of Creator.
And coincidentally, almost magically, everything that Fyodor hates, displeases God too. Everything that causes Fyodor pain, well, God wants it gone as well.
And every person who Fyodor likes, hates or simply can't save? God welcomes them in Heaven. In his Godly rehabilitation center.
Pretty convenient, yes?
You can see how Fyodor's faith isn't meant to restrict him. It's a system of beliefs he uses to enable and redirect everything he can't accept in himself. Every feeling, thought and compulsion Dostoevsky doesn't want to take responsibility for โ they all come from God.
All Fyodor's love is for God.
All of his anger is for God's sake.
All his sins are God's responsibility, already predestined and included in God's plan.
This way Demon can't be held accountable for his actions or emotions. Because all Dostoevsky's feelings aren't his. They belong to God.
It's His will speaking through Fyodor's heart strings.
Since Dostoevsky can't have human emotions. Even all of his impulses are controlled by God and Him alone.
If likes or hates someone, it's not his personal preferences. It's Higher power sending him a signal.
Therefore Fyodor doesn't have to see or evaluate himself as an individual, but only as a continuation of God's will.
This way no shame, anger, or guilt can ever apply to him.
This what Dostoevsky tells himself.
People don't hate Fyodor โ they hate God's will. Therefore, they are sinners. And will be treated accordingly. None of their words ever apply to Fyodor as a person.
So he'll do his best not to care at all.

Fyodor sees himself as hollow. The only thing that should fullfill him is faith, God, future visions. And yet, his mind, his flesh desires more than this.
Still, Fyodor doesn't see himself as an individual, but rather an instrument for Heaven's will.
Dostoevsky barely has any personal preferences and hides them well. The only consistent drive he is open about is a desire to be around beauty: classical music, delectable food, gorgeous people.
As if being around perfect and good-looking stuff can clench Fyodor's self-disgust.
Every time Dostoevsky is lavished with nice things, he feels like a rat, crawling into a royal palace. He doesn't deserve any of that. Not after everything that happened.
And yet, his little heart can't help but tremble every time someone gifts him an earthly pleasure: good wine, sweet tea, a peaceful atmosphere; people tending to him, surrounding him with all the comfort he needs. Fyodor can get addicted to it easily. But it never lasts.
There is a part deep inside of him that never relaxes, never gives into safety. Maybe, it's the part that ultimately broken or the one that belongs to God. It's restless and unstoppable.
Every time it wakes up, Fyodor's compulsion to save destroy the world takes over. Something triggers Dostoevsky, reminds him of his ability and he is back on his feet, searching for a way to fix everything.
Fyodor can never enjoy a good life for long enough. Every time he does, his drive drags him back into sewers,
where memories of peace
can only haunt him.

Fyodor can't function without God the same way Nikolai can't function without freedom.
Their personalities are so off-balanced and incompatible with reality, they need something outside of it to feel whole.
Eventually, their immense need to rely on Freedom/God distorts the very source of their comfort.
Freedom gets bloody, and God becomes hungry for the sacrifice.
But it isn't that freedom or God have fundamentally changed. What changed were their brains of those perceiving them and their motivations.
Gogol and Dostoevsky needed an ideal that would inspire them to live, no matter how disappointed they are with their own existence.
Both Clown and Demon also looked for a justification, a place onto which they could project their hidden pain, without directly interacting with it.
Fyodor and Nikolai were pretty angry at what happened to them in the past. Whatever it was, it hurt. And still does.
But neither Dostoevsky, not Gogol can't acknowledge that. If they would ever do so, these two would have to admit: they still care about people and the way people treat them.
So each of the duo says that they're hurting others, not for the personal gain or out of a desperate attempt to feel better. No, they're doing for the ideal: be it โFreedomโ or the โGodโ.
It allows both Fyodor and Nikolai to keep lashing out, while keeping their self-images intact.
They keep saying to themselves: โI hurt others because of how inhuman I amโ. While in reality the opposite is accurate.
They both became criminals because of their humanity, albeit flawed one.
Of course, Gogol's idea of freedom is almost broken or at least showing cracks. But Dostoevsky's obsession with God's is as strong as ever.
It'll only grow stronger, the closer Fyodor gets to the end of his goal.
Dostoevsky rushes towards it with all of his might because despite all his prayers and hopes, living with his version of God is still unbearable.
It kinda hurts.
And he wants it to stop.
Fyolai: they can't be normal, even when they try

Nikolai: I feel less invisible when people laugh at me. I am not an empty space if I can make someone giggle until their stomach aches. So where did you bury your funny bone, Fedya? Tell me!
Fyodor: At the end of the world. When reality splits in half, so does my scull and I smile. The apocalypse is the only thing I find truly funny. People pray, beg, fightโฆ Still in the end it's worth nothing.
Nikolai: Ok, let me try again. Quiz time! Where is Fyodor's funny bone? It's in his ribs, of course!!
(Two pair of hands appear in the air and tickle Fyodor mercilessly until he giggles in the uncannily light tone).
Nikolai: Fedya, do you think, people will smile with relief when we disappear? Will they celebrate the moment we are gone?
Fyodor: Not that we would know.
(I know they will, of course).

Idk about ya'll but this "I like it" and "lovely" can never be same -

Fyodor Dostoyevski, people
you... huh.
how bsd men will react when they find out you hide important things between your boobs. THIS IS SUCH AN INTERESTING REQUEST!!!
[ ft. fyodor, chuuya, and ranpo ]

I love that you put Fyodor for a request like this
First things first, Fyodor probably realized without any particular reveal on your part. He was a logical guy, and the least he could do was appreciate the logic on your part (he appreciates your boobs, too). Maybe if he got drunk (uncommon, but not impossible if it's with you) he'd ask for your car keys but take them himself. To be honest, he wouldn't react much, but he'd certainly take advantage of the option. Still... he's important to you, isn't he? (pls that was a dirty joke if you don't get it look at the first sentence and the keyword important things between you boobs)

Chuuya does not see it coming. When he sees it happen, he looks away fricking immediately and does not say. a. word. The woman was too stunned to speak type thing. Anyways, he at first starts to offer to carry things for you. He could easily protect you or hold your things any day, so there's no need for you to hide anything or hold anything when he's around! This precious man tries harder to be useful <33 If he sees you doing it in front of him again, he'll try and hold it himself, but that just makes things more awkward, so you two really just go silent for a little while afterward.

Of course he'd figure that shit out quickly. He'd probably even ask to hide candy with you a lot but not actually say shit about it. He more so takes it as a "You can carry all that around like that, so carry me everywhere too!" You really just become a professional carrier for his stuff, but some other days he'll demand piggy-back rides or to be carried princess style around the office (lowkey the best days).

Sorry this was short! I'm wavering between a few obsessions right now, and then just my damn schedule is PACKEDDD with dumbass things, so I usually write my stuff pretty late (I live in California).
fyodor with an s/o who is like black swan from HSR
requested, and I'm so sorry I've been inactive but the latest chapter got me back into BSD and I'll start working on requests fr this time. I love you all!

Fyodor initially wanted your abilities. he was fascinated by the idea of a memokeeper and your ability to see people's memories. he di not even need how you could predict someone's future by their memories, he could already do the same with such information.
he was not really down bad at all and it would take a lot of time for him to trust you. you would need infinite patience and to care for him without expecting anything in return (trust me, he will give you the world when you're dating... even if you've got some competition (*cough* Nikolai and Jesus *cough*)).
your constant cool-headedness and rationality was something he could rely on and your only payment was his best memories (SPOILER: he has plenty of memories for you to choose from). you would have to become his most reliable partner and go from business partner to someone he can actually see as a friend and be open about his feelings and worries with.
he was also fascinated by how complex you were, everything from your abilities to motivations was unique. it was hard to discern what you really wanted, but you had patience and you both have plenty of time (you both quite like spending it with each other, after all). your elegance wasn't of particular note to him, but how you always kept a warm smile regardless of who you were talking to and how you had boundless patience whenever someone wanted to talk to you, even if it was about the most seemingly boring matter. you had all the patience for him to open up to you, but you knew more about him than you let on. you understand him without you two needing to say much because of your deep understanding of people and how their memories affect and shape them, and he understands you from his sheer brainpower in ways that nobody else has. you both found something unique to each other, so it was fated to happen. once you two were actually official, it was still rather quiet. he preferred to give you rare items and brings people to you that he believes you'd like the memories of. if you have a favourite flower, no matter how rare, he would make sure you'll get spontaneous bouquets of it. what he wanted from you was time and understanding but you also tried to assist him and lighten his workload. you would actually thoroughly was his hair, make sure his ushanka was always a clean white, and give him small amounts of affection when he's drowning in work. speaking of physical displays of affection, it was not too important to either. you held hands sometimes, but hugs and kisses on cheeks were rather rare unless it appeared that the other needed it.
still, you both tried to surprise the other, since you both were so great at predicting the future.
I want him in ways that break ALL TEN commandments :) completely ungodly. would not approve. sorry that it's taken so long for me to update!
edit: I kind of hate this piece, too.
The last paper I ever wrote for highschool was a 22 page essay on Crime And Punishment. The requirement was 3 pages. I very well could have kept writing but I wanted to finish it before I went on the band trip. I think I finished before like half of the class.
BSD CHAPTER 95 SPOILERS AHEAD
Okay so I have some theories... not much but some...
Since Nikolai can't accept his feelings and wants Fyodor's death I think him teaming up with Dazai and ADA is a high possibility.
They both have similar goals...well except for the fact that Nikolai's ways are way more violant and he's acting with his feelings.
Fyodor probably guessed Nikolai's plan that's why he was talking smugly like an old movie villain.
He'll probably escape without getting caught.
I don't think he's gonna die yet so my first theory comes to live at this rate, Nikolai joins Dazai and brings Sigma along (again, seriously give this man a break)
ADA won't easily accept them (obviously) but Sigma might play a role in their acceptance since Atsushi knows what he's going through.
Honestly I just want Sigma to continue being the manager of the casino happily...
Anyways I'm getting sidetracked again
Fukuchi and Fyodor will probably meet and make some โจevilโจ plans.
I have a feeling something might happen to Ranpo cause we literally saw him right before Fyodor's panel a few times and he's an important target with his intelligence.
If/when Fukuchi and Fyodor meet Fyodor will probably guess Ranpo's plan.
But there's also a chance Fyodor might die in next two chapters. Our lovely author might wanna shock us again after Aku's death :')
Though I find it unlikely...
The most important question is....... how are we gonna wait for another month?!?!?!

Here's a smol Fyodor to make you happy, have a good day/night! If you have any theories please let me know!
โAbove all, donโt lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.โ
