I do not miss dealing with organs and corpses in anatomy class, but the experience does provide one with awareness about the intricate mess our insides actually are. I hope my reposting finds people who find this interesting and that it helps them to reconsider how our bodies are arranged!

Friendly reminder that periods should NOT be debilitating. Periods hurting is normal. Periods being debilitating may be common, but it is not "normal", and is usually a sign of a health condition.
If you are experiencing debilitating pain(ie fainting, regular vomiting, trouble walking, excruciating pain with pain killers), please get it checked out if you can.
Something I learned today!
The first image is how the uterus would be seen in a cross section of the abdomen, however it doesn't look that way when you are standing. So any diagrams you see where the top image is shown in a standing figure is not necessarily accurate.
This could cause confusion in people who are trying to understand their body and their anatomy.

(The art I made inspired from my journey with highly suspected endometriosis. Too many people born assigned female at birth have this terrible disease. It can cause terrible periods, chronic pelvic pain, infertility, and many more complicated symptoms. I just want to make clear I am okay, endometriosis and/chronic pelvic pain is just a lot.
