Friendly Reminder That Periods Should NOT Be Debilitating. Periods Hurting Is Normal. Periods Being Debilitating

Friendly reminder that periods should NOT be debilitating. Periods hurting is normal. Periods being debilitating may be common, but it is not "normal", and is usually a sign of a health condition.

If you are experiencing debilitating pain(ie fainting, regular vomiting, trouble walking, excruciating pain with pain killers), please get it checked out if you can.

The show Heartstopper makes a very interesting deviation from the comic Heartstopper. In the comic, after Charlie and Nick meet, there is a series of 3 pairs of panels of Nick speaking and Charlie answering. This happens in the show, but its the same interaction every time, as opposed to the comic where Nick says a different thing each time, and Charlie responds accordingly.

With the music, this sort of mounts Charlie's feelings on top of each other, this guy he likes who keeps saying hi to him. Before class, in the halls, sitting next to each other. My best guess right now as to why they decided to make it "Hi""Hi" every time is to illustrate in a particular way that they are interacting multiple times a day, and Charlie is happy about that. As opposed to emphasizing the type of interaction they have. And then it breaks the pattern: they start having a full conversation. They're getting to know each other. This isn't to say that the comic doesn't illustrate this aspect. In fact, the series of 2 panels do occur in different locations. But the way film vs illustration work makes it pan out differently.

The use of music in Heartstopper is beautiful. Particularly that electric guitar(?) they play when Charlie first meets Nick, a bit that is played multiple times throughout the show. Sure, it's not anything new to use music as an emotional indicator, but even just the thought of that music brings a smile to my face. Silly young love I suppose.

Would've been funny if she had no interest in Tyler till he turned out to be a homicidal monster but I guess they didn't let that happen
