GT 2023 Day 29: Broken Bones
In every other universe, Gwen Stacy falls for Spider-Man. And in every other universe, it doesn't end well.

I like to imagine that some of the previous prompts and this one all represent different nightmares and fears that Miles Morales has.
Day 4 being him confronting The Spot while powerless or after his home is destroyed, Day 13 being him chased and cornered by Miguel, Day 22 being him losing his mentor Peter Parker, and this prompt being his closest friend, Gwen, getting hurt. It's quite sad the more you think about it especially with the release of The Spider Within.. :(
But don't worry, Miles. You can wake up now, the nightmares are finally over..

unfinished but wanted to share- piece i've been working on called skin and bones. only layer of the human body I'm missing is the nervous system but my system was nervous when inking this so we can say that counts

i love this thinspo sm cuz they're all just so bony and small and they look so sick and beatiful. i want all my bones to peak through my skin and be able to wrap my fingers around almost every part of my body with ease. i want to be thin. i will be a skeleton.
sorry it's been so long everyone, I've been so bad lately and been off and on starving and stopped tracking for awhile because I went on a trip and it fucked me up. I'm going to try posting more Thanks to all my moots for staying w me 💓🌸

HOLY FUCKING SHIT THIS TOOK SO LONG. I hope it was worth it? Man red reality messed me UP, like I felt different after reading it. I just want my boy Robert to see his wife again ;-;
as blamore stared lonnie down from where it stood, his eyes squinted at them as if he was analyzing them for a moment. it really didn't know much about the figure across from it... but one thing he knew for sure was that anarky was young; a kid in comparison to it, actually, in its opinion. so burgeon supposed incapacitating them would just have to do if lonnie proved to further be a problem to him. the ex-doctor was already creating a plan in it's head as it reached a hand back to flip back it's hair and sneakily begin to summon a bone through it's skin, which was just about as gnarly as it may sound. there was one very important distinction about this bone in particular, however. and that was it had a serrated edge to it, like a knife, as well as a point at the end. the bone finally managed to fully come out of its skin right as lonnie began to speak once more.
and honestly, thank god for that, because this person was beginning to become a thorn-in-his-side after all. they weren't acting unlike some of the so-called 'heroes' he'd already encountered in gotham: lonnie did seem to have somewhat of a savior complex, and a rude streak to blamore as well, which is one thing that he took particular issue with. subsequently, its tail flicked out to the side as if it was annoyed. a chuckle that genuinely sounded full of glee, but in a condescending way left burgeon's mouth, then, ❝ ahh — you are one funny little mordre les chevilles*, aren't you? i never asked for your permission to take him. and you don't know anything about my beliefs, so i'd watch your tongue before i'm swatting you to the wall like the pest you are. ❞
the bones in blamore's tail began to grow in number soon enough as it rushed over to lonnie's throat and settled right below their chin, ever-so-slightly pressing into the clothing there, ❝ hmm, how are we feeling about telling me what i can and cannot do now, my friend? not quite as strong, i imagine? ❞
[ translation*: ankle-biter. ]
Lonnie was horrified. Death was not something they took lightly; they could count the amount of corpses they'd seen in person on one hand, and all of them were still burned into their memory permanently-- a high price to pay for one that was photographic. Certainly, such a thing was handy in their line of work. But not now. not for things like this.
The death had been painful. Torturous. And it was all too easy for them to recall exactly how something like that felt. Their bones ached in sympathy for the dead, and if Lonnie was being honest, they knew they were mixing the professional and the personal.
But everything was always personal to Lonnie. Lives couldn't be treated professionally. They were lives; they deserved more than that.
"Non. C’est des conneries!" They swore. "You will not be taking that man's body away. He surely has loved ones, and they deserve to bury him, or otherwise honor his death, which you caused. This is murder, no matter what you might believe about your stupid seeds."
They pulled their stun baton. "Take one more step closer to him and I'll prune you like a tree."
just a gentle reminder that THIS is how big the spines around blamore's neck are whenever he doesn't shrink them... so, it's pretty much a surefire way for it to keep other people away from him, NGL ☠️ (unless you are trying to get poked in the eye JSJSJ / j i'm kidding, i'm kidding (,: but blamore really does have several natural defenses against any 'aggressors,' i guess you could say, and it's spines REALLY add to it's uncannyness whenever they're at full - length ).
