Missing Moments
Welcome to the Missing Moments project!
Essentially the idea is to fill in the gaps in the Skam universe, all the conversations, decisions, moments we didn’t see. We only see one character’s POV per season and we only see so long of that but we’ve got all these characters still existing and living their stories and that’s what I want this event to be about. For examples, check out my previous fics here. I won’t be limiting this just to the original either, the remakes are very welcome too! We are getting into season 2 with a few them already afterall.
I am accepting submissions now, please fill in your details here. All you need right now is an idea of what you want to write/create about and as accurate a time spot as possible. Once everyone has sent in their ideas, I plan to make a timeline where all the moments would fit, I’ll go season by season, first with the original then remakes. When it comes to release week(s), they’ll flow in this timeline, I’ll try and make the timeline visual too so it’ll be completely interactive! I’m hoping to build the timeline so that it should build itself up as more fics/art is posted. I’ll be posting a few fics myself, got so many ideas and I can’t wait to see yours!
Important Details
Fanfics must be at least 250 words, otherwise the sky’s the limit.
Both fanfic and fanart are acceptable.
If you want to do more than 1 entry, that’s fine too!
You can post on Tumblr and/or Ao3.

23rd March - Ideas submissions close
30th March - Check In 1 (Basically confirmation you’re still up for it!)
22nd June - Check In 2 (Just letting me know how your idea has progressed + any major changes to your work)
7th September - You’ll receive your posting date.
7th October - Posting begins! (If there’s a date between the 7th-20th you can’t do, let me know)

Women of the word.
You led me to become a strong and independent woman. But you did so suffering. And you shouldn’t have to.
Women of the world.
You were destroyed in the past and you still are today. By men who, in need of power and control defined you as a simple hole.
Women of the world,
I wish I could tell you the fight was won but it is not. I wish I could tell you it’s over but it’s not.
As a kid, my mom said she wanted me to become a perfect woman. An educated and intelligent woman, but one who can manage a household as well and take care of her husband.
I don’t blame her. She grew up in a culture that asked too much from women and not enough from men. She grew up in a culture where women would carry all the burdens but men pretended they would. She grew up in a culture that presented husbands as a purpose, not a choice.
But I said
“Mom, I can’t. I cannot for I love my flaws too much. I love the flaws you despise, my laziness, my uncombed hair, the unfeminine side in me. I love all of it.
But hear me for they don’t make me any less of a woman. I am as worthy as others and you taught me that. For what matters is inside of me. And you told me, I was always loved for my kindness to others.”
As a kid, media taught me women were the weaker sex. For they are too sensitive, for they need too much attention, for they want to be loved.
As a woman, education taught me men needed women. For they couldn’t last a day without them. But women don’t need men, women evolve and thrive with no man. But that was hidden from us for too long.
I was in the middle of the Handmaid’s tale and I started sobbing. So hard actually, I just turned it off for a bit. Because for one second, I saw how real that was. How greedy men took everything from us for too many centuries. How greedy men led us to believe we were weak when they wouldn’t last a single fucking hour with those period cramps. When they wouldn’t even survive a fucking pregnancy let alone the delivery.
And I never wanted the two genders to be at war. But they started it.
I am no great author though I wish I was and I don’t know if this text will be read by many or even any. But for those of you kind enough to read me, please let it be a time to honor those women, who throughout History suffered. To all of those women who were and are raped, to all of those victims of domestic abuse, please let’s remember them.

I am too old to watch Skam, and i am just saying that because i have lost my interest for this kind of tv shows since my early 20s, i am in my late 20s now, but i watched their story, and it was beautiful, and amazing, and this scene is so true to the human nature. The way Cris cries, all of the tension she had within, all of the pain, every single emotion was released.

what if (I know this won’t happen, but we can fantasize all we want...) ALL SKAM REMAKES decide to use AT LEAST ONE (1) THE 1975 song in EVERY SEASON....
.... PLUS, they decide to make all of their seasons just as amazing and as beautiful as the original Norwegian masterpiece!!!!
but which remake is going to use “antichrist” by the 1975 in their o helga natt scen? that would be a power move
Oh my gosh I do agree!! However, I haven't watched Skam France so I don't have an opinion on that.
I'm aware I already hold an award for least popular skam opinions but damn if I ever shared more the extreme skam fans would chew me out
For example:
Skam Austin is my favorite remake
Megan is the best Eva remake
Joana is the best Even
Skam España isn't problematic
I don't really care for the OG Even
Skam France only has one good season (take a wild guess)
Druck is good but not that good
Meg and Shay is my favorite ship
And those are the ones that hopefully don't get me a lot of hate lol. I've just been realizing how many things I don't agree with the majority about while browsing tags. Wild.
