The past few months had been a little rough for you, to be honest. You were unfortunately alone for the most part, with Redson, your lovely partner, on some kind of trip. They called you as often as they could. They always mentioned how they’d be home before you knew it, how boring it was visiting relatives they hadn’t seen since their early years when they could be there with you instead. It was all weighing on you, and so you tried to practice some self care by letting down the glamour you used to hide your godly form. 

Letting your true form out was like taking off a tight piece of clothing. Fresh air seemed fresher, colors were more vibrant. You found it easier to actually relax around your home as your true self. 

You spent a whole week just hanging around doing whatever you wanted, still calling Redson for updates on how things were going, but never revealing this secret of yours to them. One thing you’d neglected to remember was when they were coming home…which was today.

“Y/n, my beloved! I’m back!” Their voice called in an almost singsong voice. Approaching the room you were in, which was the living room. You practically jumped out of your skin as you attempted to put on your disguise again, but Redson had already seen you. They froze in their tracks, mouth agape. You were still like a deer in headlights.

“Uh…welcome home, love!” You managed to say. 

“What on earth was that?!” Red questioned. 

“Nothing! Don’t even worry about it! I’ve got some dinner in the oven—“

“Y/n,” they stopped you from moving past them to get to the kitchen, staring deep into your eyes. “Is this not your real form?”

“…can we talk about this later, Red? Please?” You were still in a panicked state, and you were thankful as they gave you a bit of physical space.

“Yes. It can wait a bit.” They gestured for you to continue, and so you did, heart still pounding in your ears. 

They think you’re scary, that you’re a terror. They’ll leave you.

That night, as you two got ready for bed shortly after dinner, you could feel Redson’s eyes on you every now and then. Were they analyzing you? Perhaps subconsciously you were the one analyzing them.

Now you sat on your shared bed, feet dangling off the edge as you waited for them to join you. 

“My love,” there was a shift on the mattress as they took a seat with you. “Are you ready to talk about it?”

“I guess,” you closed your eyes. “You were bound to find out sooner or later, I’m sorry. I understand if you hate me.”

“Why would I hate you?”

“Because I lied to you! You probably think I’m a freak or something!” 

You were shaking like a leaf as you actually turned to face them. Their bright red hair was disheveled, no longer in its uptight ponytail. Their eyes, despite having slight bags underneath them, showed compassion and concern for you that you hadn’t expected.

“Quite the opposite, y/n…” they took one of your hands, kissing your knuckles gently. “The being I saw earlier was the most amazing, luminous entity I have ever seen.”

“You really mean that?” You asked. They nodded. You allowed your true appearance to show again, not once feeling their grip on your hand waver. 

“I do. And I mean it even more now that I’m getting a proper look at you.”

“Stop, you’re gonna make me all flustered! You snickered. They could tell the tension around you was dissipating.

“That was my devious plan, all along!” They held you close, even though you were still laughing and moving in their arms. “To woo you!”

“It’s working, it’s working! Lemme go!” 

They planted some kisses along your face and jawline and you could feel your face turning red. Finally, they stopped, and you were able to catch your breath. Now, on your own accord, you shifted forms again. 

“Not gonna sleep like that?” They asked, separating from you so they could move the blankets around. You had no idea how they could sleep under three layers despite being a walking space heater.

“No, as cool as it is, I don't feel like being a night light.” You yawned.

“Fair enough,” they got comfortable, with you at their side. “Sweet dreams, my lovely light.” 

“Goodnight, love.”

You and your partners were an unlikely combination. A fire demon, a monkey kid, a half-spider, an immortal prince, and a zombie of a mayor…At least you couldn’t say that things weren’t interesting! Some of them, such as Mayor and Syntax or Redson and MK, were couples of their own who were glad to share with you. Nezha was along for the ride.

You did your best to have open and honest communication with all of them, especially if they all wanted to do different things. Such was the situation as of now.

Redson and MK invited you to come see a movie with them, and you agreed. However you had forgotten that you were going to have some lunch with Nezha. And of course, the Mayor wanted to make dinner for everyone tonight. It was all overlapping in the worst way possible, and tensions were mounting among the others as well.

You now sat on the couch in the Mayor's house, which was big enough that you all called it your central hub. The others were all in their own seats, with Redson on one side of you and Syntax on the other. Nezha and MK were on one of the loveseats, and the Mayor was standing near the coffee table. Their voices were all conflicting with one another. Your leg bounced rapidly as you felt your breaths become fast-paced and hard to keep up with.

“Guys…” you really didn’t want to deal with this right now. You had been excited to spend time with everyone. But now it was just a mess. Your quiet plea wasn’t heard.

“Our plans have been in place since last week. Y/n and I are going to lunch.” Nezha snapped. You started picking at the skin around your nails.

“The movie’s only an hour long. Just pick them up after it’s done.” Redson pointed out. His tail was swishing back and forth and it was adding to this sensory overload of yours as it kept tapping on your thigh.

“Y/n, are you okay?” MK held his hands in a “t” shape to signal for everyone to stop. Now all eyes fell on you and it felt impossible to move or breathe.

“I…” you could barely get words out. Why was this so hard? Syntax scooted away a little bit in order to give you some room to work with and Redson was quick to copy this motion. Nezha got up from his seat and went to the kitchen as the Mayor gave you a worried smile.

“Hey, take some deep breaths with me, alright? In,” MK instructed, motioning for you to copy him. You did. “And out. Good job! Let’s do it again!”

You followed his breathing. In for 4 seconds, holding for 7, and exhaling for 8. You could feel your nervous system realigning itself. Nezha came back with a glass of water and the ice cube tray. Before giving you the water, he handed you the tray.

“Here, hold this.”

“Huh? Why?” You still took the tray, even though you weren’t enjoying the cold feeling right on your fingers. But you got caught up in that and were successfully distracted from what was happening.

“Misdirection.”

“Forget about all that for a bit,” Syntax spoke up, in relation to all the plans. “What’s making you stressed and how can we fix it?”

You took your time to explain everything, pausing every now and then to drink water or do some more 4-7-8 breaths to regulate again. But you told them that you couldn’t think in all this noise, that you wanted to spend time with all of them but that it was difficult for you if everything was piling up all at once. They didn’t interrupt you once.

“Oh, y/n, we’re so sorry we made you so anxious.” The mayor gave you a hug as the others apologized as well.

“Let’s lay out a proper plan, alright? Space everything out evenly.” Redson looked to everyone, including you, looking for nods of agreement.

“Okay. I think since the Mayor is doing dinner tonight y/n and I can do lunch tomorrow. Does that work?” Nezha offered up. You gave a thumbs up.

“Then can we do the movie today so there’ll be a gap in between then and when we get back?” MK asked.

“Yes, and then you can work off all the snacks you’re gonna inhale.” Syntax joked.

“Perfect. Y/n, we still have a little time before we should get going. How about you clean up and then we’ll head out?” Redson put a hand on your shoulder.

“Yeah, that works. Thanks, guys. I’m sorry.” You put your now empty glass on the coffee table.

“There’s no need to be sorry, dear. We should have made sure everything worked before trying to pull you in a million directions.” The Mayor patted your head.

Each one of your lovers gave you a peck or a hug as an apology, and then they all started moving in their different directions to carry out plans. MK and Redson had you help them decide which seats in the movie theater to sit in. Nezha headed back to his own house to do whatever he wanted until it was time for dinner, and Syntax went with the Mayor to get the ingredients for the meal.

There’s never a dull moment with this group.

Now listen, when you opened up your tiny bakery, you didn’t expect a whole lot of traffic. It was simple pastries, some cookies, and cakes as well.Those who came in generally really enjoyed your food, and you were proud of yourself for making it this far! What you didn’t expect was four regulars who weren’t exactly of the “normal person” variety.

“I told you, noodle boy, you need to watch how close your tail gets to my fire! If I ever plan to roast you, it’ll be on purpose!” A redhead walked in, holding the door open as the next three figures came in. First was a shorter man with unruly brown hair and a red bandana, carrying a staff.

“I didn’t mean to!! I just overestimated how much space I had to work with!” He said. Behind him were two monkeys, one ginger and one raven-colored with some white streaks. They almost looked like they were related.

“What matters is that we put you out before it took the whole thing off, MK. Now c’mon, I’m starving!” The ginger ruffled the ‘noodle boy’s hair. 

“Welcome! What can I get you?” You finally spoke, attempting not to stare at them too hard. They were all so attractive in their own ways, and you worried it would affect your abilities to serve them. 

“Do you have anything peach flavored?” The ginger pressed his face up against the glass of your display case, and so did MK. Now that they were closer, you could see that they looked as if they’d been in some kind of fight. Some light scratches here and there on their faces, dust and ash coating their hair and skin. You could see MK’s tail, and the end was a little bit singed. 

“We have some sodas, but nothing pastry wise. Sorry.” 

“I’ll take one of those sodas, and actually a few of those sugar cookies as well.” 

You put on some gloves and got to work on putting this all on a tray. You figured they’d want to stay and eat.

“Can I have a slice of that lava cake?” The redhead was pointing politely at the case, and you nodded as you went to retrieve the slice. 

“And for you?” You made eye contact with the quiet, shadowy figure who stood closest to the door. 

“Oh, uh…do you have coffee?” 

“I do!”

“Black, please.”

His eyes were darting around the space, probably trying to understand why he was dragged here. But he also had a light red tint to his cheeks, like he was surprised you acknowledged him at all.

“And what about you?” You peered over the counter at MK.

“I can’t really decide…it all looks delicious.”

“I have a sample dish you can get, with one of each cookie on it.”

“Ooh! Yeah, I’ll do that!”

You rang them all up, and then each one searched their pockets for a wallet.

“Relax, all of you. I’ll put it on my credit card.” Red walked past all of them, handing you the card. You laughed at their antics as you finished the transaction and handed them the tray. They went over to an empty table.

“I’ll get you your drinks in just a second.” You pointed out, turning on your heel to get them. Once you did, you kind of made a show of bringing it to them. There was a small chance they’d notice your efforts in flirting, but there was also a chance they wouldn’t.

“Do you guys want, like…something to clean up with?” You asked.

“Nah. We’re all headed home after this, but thank you!” The ginger answered for the group. You nodded and left them to enjoy their snacks, opting to do some tidying up. In the back of your mind, you were listening to their conversations. The shadowy figure was named Macaque, the ginger was Monkey King, and the redhead was Redson. And of course you realized this meant that you were hosting several very powerful beings in your humble cafe. At least they tipped well?

This was all months ago. Since then, they’d show up at least once a week. They’d either be worn out from training, coming from a battle, or just showing up for fun. You came to be close with them, and eventually they all very politely asked you out. Now you were in a loving polyamorous relationship with them.

“Y/N, I’m gonna grab an ice pack from the freezer!” MK practically hopped your counter as he waved to you. You were busy ringing up a customer, but you gave him a thumbs up.

“Slow down!! You’re gonna steal the frosting out of the container again, aren’t you?!” Redson dashed in an effort to follow her boyfriend, but stopped to give you a quick peck on the cheek. The customer you were serving left with their order, and you turned your attention to the four people that were coming in quick succession. 

“MK, if you’re gonna be back there, maybe you can check the dates on those for me?” You called.

“The chocolate’s good for another month. Vanilla could use another package, though.” You felt a chill as Macaque phased through one of his portals, licking a spoon. Wukong followed behind him, drinking his usual peach soda.

“How long have you two been here?!” You asked, trying and failing to snatch the spoon out of your partner’s hand. He was faster than you, though, leading to him laughing at your attempts.

“Long enough that I’ve gone through a whole pot of coffee.” He chuckled.

“Alright, no more for you today. And for goodness’ sake at least give me a heads up before you raid my kitchen!” 

“Sure thing, boss.” He mocked you, ducking into the shadows again and emerging at a table to sit down with Wukong. MK and Redson came out of the kitchen as well, with MK holding an ice pack to his shoulder as he sat down.

“What did you do this time?”

“With all his brain power, he thought he could crash his way through a truck in the way of the demon we fought. Thank goodness it wasn’t his swinging arm.” Redson pointed out. You sighed and sat down with the group.

“You lot are pieces of work.”

“Yeah, but you loooove us!” MK gave you those puppy eyes, and you nodded in agreement.

Honey you will not have to lift a single finger while you're sick. Redson is especially attentive in making sure you're resting and not trying to strain yourself.

Mei is the one who helps make food and what not for you. She notes your favorite type of soup, juice, fruits and veg, so that way you can get healthy and it'll taste good.

MK keeps you entertained! He plays games with you(so do the others, but he's the most likely to want to distract you from how much it sucks being sick), watches cartoons with you, etc.

Redson and MK are the ones convincing you to take the medicine. They know it tastes bad, but if you don't do it, you'll be sick for longer. Mei is the neutral party here, sometimes jokingly assisting you in getting away from them and sometimes scooping you up so you can get caught by them. It's a gamble every time!

With masks on, they all cuddle you. You're a comfy blanket burrito and they're all around you as you guys watch a movie!

They feel bad you can't go do the things you want, like go to the park and stuff, but they also know it's for the best you're at home and not getting other people sick.

Redson and Mei are the ones who are at home the most, with MK doing deliveries and training, so they like playing with you. Both enjoy doing pretend tea parties and no one can change my mind.

They literally love you so much, your adorable and precious to them, but please oh my goodness don't cough right on the blanket ;-;

But here's the twist; s/o's family is really fracking wholesome, and their family never judges them once! Like,, they don't care about their god/demon/villain status - and: they didn't get nervous when Red Son or Macaque appears, nor did they immediately worship SWK or Nezha bc of the legends, they just treat them like they were any normal person, casually talking to them about their hobbies over dinner, and even once affectionately calling them their own "son"/"child". Basically, s/o's family really approves of them because they make their child happy, and doesn't judge them for who they are! :Dc These fellas gets a second family and they honestly deserve it-

Redson, Nezha, SWK, and Macaque Meeting their S/O's very supportive parents for the first time! Headcanons!(ROMANTIC)(GN)

Redson - so confused at first. He’s formal, prepared to justify everything about themselves to s/o’s parents. Probably was expecting them to be like his parents, but then they treat her not only nicely but also like a person and not some nasty creature?? What??? They may think they’re being tricked, but no, the s/o’s parents gush about their kid and then compliment Redson about his skills and how they’ve heard so much about them!! Dinner goes super well, and they send Redson home with the leftovers because “she needs some more meat on those bones!!” You talk to Redson after you two leave and ask them what he thought; Red bursts out crying /pos

Nezha - He goes in thinking he’ll have to explain everything about his past, surely s/o’s parents have heard about the terrifying Nezha? But to his delight they don't care about all that. They want their kid to be happy, and oh my what a strong young man you are! We’ve heard all about how sweet and protective you are!! He’s absolutely flabbergasted. He probably brought along some kind of food to offer them, and they literally love him so much! S/o has to reassure him he doesn’t have to be so stiff. The parents appreciate him for keeping their child safe and give him their blessing to keep dating and maybe even marry s/o if the two do end up wanting to marry(cue embarrassment from both Nezha and s/o)

SWK - listen. This man has worked so hard for his reputation as a good guy. But he’s got some stuff in his past he’s not proud of nor does he care for. So he’s going in fully prepared to be insulted, berated, overall just not treated right. But……the parents don't mention anything about his past. They don’t ask, they don’t press him about it. They compliment him, how nice he is, how he dresses well. They don’t nag him when he stims after s/o said something funny. They have something with peaches in it for dessert that he practically cries over. He’s so perplexed over the whole situation but honestly it’s in the best way possible. Very excited to see s/o’s parents again.

Macaque - there’s no way s/o’s parents would like him. C’mon, he’s a demon, he’s hurt people, he’s got this big scar over his eye…but they love him. They like his stories, how cool and calm he is, and the jokes he makes. He’s never felt so accepted before except for when he’s with s/o. Definitely thinks it’s a prank or a cruel joke, but it’s not, and he DEFINITELY cries about it. He would love to see them again. Thinks about how kind they were to him every day because it makes him happy that not only does he have s/o in his life, he’s also got their parents to support him as well. 10/10.

Redson, Nezha, SWK, and Macaque Meeting S/O's Brothers headcanons! (Romantic)

Redson - fully prepared to fight. Since he’s an only child she has no clue how siblings are supposed to act. And obviously, they’re a demon, so their appearance is slightly jarring. But after a little while of conversation and the s/o gently nudging both parties to actually talk to each other, the brothers accept Redson. They actually probably find her to be cool with all his demon powers and now Redson gets to hear embarrassing stories about the s/o. It’s a win-win…..I think.

Nezha - he’s basically brothers with Wukong, so he knows the vibes. He acts stoic at first because he can tell that they’re sizing him up. But s/o makes a dumb joke and they all bust out laughing and from there things go very smoothly. By the end it’s like they’ve known each other for ages. He just fits in super well with them! And now s/o has a full on protection squad :)

SWK - very nervous, but also has faith in his abilities to read people and try to keep the peace. He understands why the brothers are apprehensive of him…he is a literal monkey, after all. That stage fright of his kicks in fast when he meets the brothers, however it’s a lot better as long as s/o is there. He really does his best to impress them and make them feel like he’s a good person and thankfully it goes over well. He shows them his tricks, they think it’s cool as heck. But afterwards he’s overthinking the whole thing so his s/o will have to calm him down lol

Macaque - not super nervous or anything, kinda just goes with it. He stays close to his s/o the whole time for comfort but he’s doing very well! The brothers think it’s a little weird that he’s a monkey, but they accept him fairly fast since he’s casual and not stiff. He tells them stories with shadows, shows them some of his powers. Like with Nezha, s/o ends up having a protection squad >:)

i've noticed how there's been lots of family related content going on here 👀👀 so if you don't mind me keeping the train going, may i request a (separate) mayor, SWK, macaque, syntax and nezha with an s/o who is a single parent ?? and maybe s/o has a child that was shy and a bit awkward towards them at first meeting because s/o's kid didn't know what to feel knowing that their parent is dating someone, yet overtime after they hanged out more often, they slowly warm up to the boys and even started to admire, and like them where it's gotten to the point where the child was comfortable, and happy enough to be with them that they calls them 'dad' ??? 🥺

The best with kids! He finds it very easy to engage with you and your child :)

Also pretty protective of you and them. Not helicopter-level but still worries a substantial amount

He understands that the child may not like him at first, but he still tries! No matter what age they are, he finds a way to entertain them!

If the child is able and willing to be picked up, he does. Holds them in his arms, on his shoulder, piggyback rides—you name it

He also tries to take some stress off of you when he can. If you’re helping the child with some homework, he’s fine with tidying up a bit around the house

When the kid starts warming up to him, he has the time of his life as they talk to each other about their interests. He definitely passes along his favorite stories about Monkey King

Cries when the kid calls him “dad”. Like omg it’s like a waterfall ;-; he’s so happy

10/10 he’s super fun to be around and always has a treat for them

SWK

He’s very good with children, but he never pictured having one himself. Now that he’s with you he’s a little more open to connecting with them

No idea what to do at first. Probably freezes up but still tries to talk

You’ll have to nudge them both to start socializing

He begins by telling them simple stories from his life—nothing about the violence or bad parts of the journey, but probably others like how he became immortal

Allows the kid to gently play with his ears and tail. He wants them to lead, to size him up, bc he’s afraid of being too rough with them

When the child starts being more open with him he starts being more open too. He acts more like a dad during this time

Loves the little family dynamic he has with you now. He looks forward to seeing your kid, he looks forward to bonding with you both

Stims SO hard when the child refers to him as their dad. Like yes!! That’s him!!!!!

9/10 just because he would probably think in the mindset of “ok this is a baby monkey”

Macaque

He can tolerate kids. But he hasn’t had to worry about being around them a whole lot ever since leaving FFM. That being said, he is terrified of messing up

He treats them like they’re made of glass. You’ll have to encourage him a lot—he reminds himself that this isn’t just some stranger, it’s your child.

The one thing he masters very quickly is bedtime. He loves telling stories and playing with the shadows to help lull the child to sleep :)

Really good at helping you and the child with a daily routine. He’s 100% there to pick them up from school, he goes to the parent-teacher conferences with you, heck, he’s not half-bad at homework.

Once the two are closer, he offers up the idea of training them to do karate or some kind of martial arts. It’s a great bonding experience.

So patient with them. If the child ever shows signs of needing space or time to figure something out, he steps back. He makes it clear he is willing to help and then lets things play out.

Really good at pretend play. The best French waiter impression in the pretend restaurant :)

When he is referred to as “dad” he realizes he’s in for the long haul and is SO okay with it.

10/10 shows up in a shadow portal at their school to drop off their lunch

Nezha

Man’s is going into this knowing very little about modern kids. But like everything else he’s done, he’s gonna put all the effort he can into it.

Probably really formal about it? The kid is so confused and actually laughs at him a little

You have to give him tips here and there. Like, no, they don’t know complex arithmetic yet, don’t bond with them over a conversation about it?

He likes being active with them. Trips to the park, simple backyard games like tag or hide and seek—it’s honestly super nice and relaxing for him and he likes seeing them energetic and ready to chase him

He’s really intelligent about many subjects, so he’s probably the best out of all of them for homework or studying.

He picks them up from school using his fire wheels and the kid LOVES it

He reads those parenting books if he feels the need to or if he needs serious guidance, but more often than not he comes to you for advice

Acts like it’s no big deal that he gets called “dad” but on the inside he’s jumping for joy

9/10 the kid has to educate him on what My Little Pony is because he has no idea about modern media

Redson

So so so afraid of messing up. His childhood was rough in every sense of the word; with his powers having to be toned down by a whole lot and then his own father being sealed beneath a mountain with his mother left to raise him alone. He wants your kid to have a good childhood.

He’s very practical. He doesn’t imagine a whole lot and this leads to a lot of dead-end conversations with your kid.

More than anything Redson likes to try and cook meals for you all. He’s got fun-shaped pancakes down to a T.

Definitely hypes the kid up at school. Drops them off and picks them up in his coolest vehicles, puts their best grades and projects on the fridge

He likes having the kid meditate with him every once in a while, just to show them how to just be.

Like Nezha, acts very casually at being called dad. But he will cry as soon as the child is out of earshot

9/10 he “accidentally” teaches the child to refer to their classmates as peasants.

Mayor

He’s a busy man by default. But he’s learning to balance everything as he spends more time with you and eventually is introduced to your child

Before anything, he reads the books and consults anyone on his staff with kids. He talks to you as well. How should he talk to them? What do they like? Is there a certain food they enjoy?

Cool, calm, collected. Waits very patiently for the child to assess him and answers any questions they have.

He involves himself in their school stuff. Very attentive to the quality of teachers, how the child is doing in their classes. Second most useful in helping them with work(first being Nezha).

Takes the kid with him to work every once in a while to show them around. The most dad-like out of all of them. In appearance, in attitude, and of course in jokes.

After a particularly dumb pun, the child laughs and says “dad that’s so bad!” And this man FREEZES

Cries about it to you, is so happy to be accepted by your child and have you both in his life

10/10 he owns a #1 Dad mug now :)

Syntax

Listen I love a scientist spider as much as the next guy but I cannot see him liking kids. It’ll take a lot of effort on your part to get both him and your child to hang out with each other

He’s hesitant, he isn’t sure what kids even like, so he makes a peace offering of sorts. He shows them his software where he can code games and what not

It’s interesting to the kid so they end up talking with him about video games and science for a while

Slowly but surely they get along really well! Syntax really does try his best because it’s for you, and in the end he can’t honestly say he doesn’t love your child too

Very engaging when it comes to schoolwork, he finds it easy to explain things in a simpler or more entertaining way than the dumb directions do!

Before long he’s actually offering to take care of the kid while you’re busy or pick them up from school. It’s the highlight of his day when they hop in his car and show him the high score they got on a science project because he helped them!

(Takes them for ice cream after because OBVIOUSLY this is a very momentous occasion)

Shocked when they call him dad. He never thought he’d be deserving of that title, or even of that position, but he’s been doing it all along and he’s proud to call them his child as well as yours.

I'm really sorry but I refuse to write character/reader deaths :( it just upsets me a great deal. However. I will write these characters reacting to you taking a hit bc I still wanna write their reactions

Macaque, Wukong, Syntax, Mayor, and Redson x GN Reader who took a hit from LBD (angsty Scenarios!)

Macaque - oh he feels terrible. Not only did he kinda let this happen, it’s you who got hurt instead of himself. He was fully prepared to take that hit but you jumped in before it got to him and he hates the sound it makes as it impacts you. He swears to himself that he’ll make it up to you somehow, he’ll be the one to get you to safety, he will heal you. Expect a lot of affection once it’s all over. A lot of “I’m sorry”’s and “does it hurt”’s. You are his top priority.

SWK - he let himself down by letting you get remotely close to the fight, but it’s like you don’t think twice before jumping in between him and LBD. No matter how hurt you get—even if it ends up just being a flesh wound—he puts even more passion into finishing the fight and defeating her. After it’s over he doesn’t let you leave his sight for a while so you can recover. It’ll take a lot of reassurance from you for him to stop feeling so guilty.

Syntax - I imagine this would take place towards the end of season 2. He doesn’t trust this weird girl and her even weirder assistant. So when you get hit instead of him when they betray the Queen, his suspicions are only confirmed. He knows he can’t defeat them, but he does his absolute best to get you to a safer place where he can apply his medical knowledge and help you. He brings you everything you need and insists that you stay here so you don’t get hurt again. More angry than anything else.

Mayor - this is bad for him because he is fighting an inside battle—does he side with his lady, or his lover? He can’t fully break away from her influence until she abandons him to get to SWK. Then, even though he’s weakened substantially, he helps to get you to safety. You have to make it, even if he doesn’t. After it’s all over, he stays with you as you both recover together and get back on your feet.

Redson - this demon is FURIOUS. He can scold you for doing something so stupidly selfless later on—for now he needs to get you out of danger. Puts up as much of a fight as he can and then rushes you back to his domain, where he puts magic seals around you that will help you to heal and keep you safe while he’s away helping the others. Comes back often to check on you and apologize that he let this happen. After it’s over he encourages you to stay with him at his home until you’re fully healed.

ok ok so my idea is male reader x mk swk macaque and redson and the reader one day, randomly finds out he's a fox, like he does something like sneeze, or hit his head and then poof. critter. and everyone is freaking out and the reader is confused on whats going on until someone just bluntly says, mouth agap "your a fox" and now reader is freaking out with their partners freaking out. do what ever you want with this<3

As y/n was cleaning up his home, excited for his partners to all show up for movie night at his place, he had a weird feeling in his gut. It wasn’t a painful feeling, but it was almost like dizziness. As he finished sweeping, he sneezed, and then the feeling was gone. He felt triumphant about it, but then he looked down at the ground and saw how much shorter he was. He had paws, a tail, and a snout he could see if he went cross eyed. 

Oh no.

What was happening?!

“Y/n, my beloved! We have arrived! And with refreshments!” Redson called, entering through the front door. MK and the others were trailing behind, each with a bag that he could only assume was said refreshments. 

“I wouldn’t call five bags of peach chips refreshing.” Macaque commented, looking over his shoulder at Wukong. 

“Hey, it’s either this or popcorn kernels stuck in my fangs for days!”

“Do you not know about any other snacks??”

“What the heck? There’s a fox!” MK called out, pointing at y/n. 

“Oh my gods, it ate y/n!” Wukong cried. 

“No, idiot, use your gold vision.” Redson said. 

“Oh my gods, THAT’S Y/N!” 

Macaque approached y/n, head tilted and tail flitting in concern and curiosity.

“I don’t know what happened! I sneezed, and now I’m here! How do I change back?!” Y/n panicked. He could hear the pitch of his voice being much higher. Macaque picked him up and looked him over. MK and Wukong, although concerned like the others, were both clearly holding themselves back from gushing over how cute he was. 

“Well, if you sneezed to change, maybe you need to sneeze again to undo it?” Redson suggested. 

“But I don’t really need to sneeze anymore.”

“Here, how’s this?” Macaque took a hold of his own tail and brushed it back and forth under y/n’s nose. He sneezed, but he didn’t change back. 

“Okay…so maybe we should consider other solutions?” MK chuckled.

“Like what? The most obvious one just proved not to work!” Y/n was still so utterly confused as to why this even happened. 

“Calm down, sweetheart, we’ll figure it out! You’ve got,” Macaque stopped to do a head count. “Two very smart beings here to help!”

“But there’s five of us in total!” MK said.

“Make that three, since the kid finally learned to count.” 

“HEY!”

“Either way, maybe it was something in the dust you were sweeping?” Redson interjected, kneeling down to the dustpan and looking at it. 

“Like what?”

“Well, you’ve got three mystic monkeys and a demon here on an almost regular basis. Perhaps if we dropped any hair or fur, and you breathed it in…”

“Then it would change him?” MK finished. Redson nodded. Y/n hopped out of Macaque’s arms and onto his couch, trying to stand on his hind legs to be a more active party in the conversation.

“Well how do I get it out? I can’t be stuck like this forever!!” 

“I mean, if you were, it wouldn’t be so bad! This is literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen!” Wukong cooed. He scratched behind y/n’s ears and giggled at how the fox started wagging his tail. Macaque grabbed a tissue and slapped Wukong’s hand away so he could move around.

“Here, try blowing your nose. If nothing else, we’ll make you sneeze again.” He said. Y/n followed his instructions and with one harsh blow into the tissue, there was a puff of smoke. Abracadabra, he was human again! 

“Woohoo! I’m a big boy again!” He cheered. 

“Aw, and we didn’t even get any pictures before…” MK pouted. 

“Wait, yeah, y/n! Inhale it again, we need a picture!” Wukong unfortunately encouraged the boy, and thankfully Redson and Macaque distracted them with the snacks they had brought over for the original movie night plans.

MK, Redson, Nezha, SWK, and Macaque x GN! Bunny Demon! Reader (Romantic Headcanons!)

MK - oh my gosh this boy thinks you are adorable. In the relationship he likes that you have the same kinda energy levels that he has! You two probably go on a lot of fun dates rather than serious ones(hitting the dance floor at the arcade as opposed to a fancy dinner). Also, he’s super affectionate with you in general, but it’s completely up to you if you let him pet your bunny ears or let him lean on your chest. He loves giving you bunny kisses(if you don’t know, it’s when you nuzzle noses with someone it’s so cute). 

Redson - probably very protective of you! After all, if you look this adorable, some other demon is sure to try and come after you…Red won’t let them get the chance :) anyways. You two are an interesting couple; a fiery Bull demon with anger issues and a very lovable and outgoing bunny demon…and yet somehow you cancel each other out enough that this relationship works out very well! You’re kind of like Redson’s “emotional support y/n”! And in turn you basically have immunity from any other demon attacks.  Red pretends to be very casual at first but at the end of the day he can’t resist those eyes that you give him when you want him to come cuddle with you. He’s a space heater, take advantage of it during the colder months! Also, he definitely uses your chest as a pillow. It’s the perfect way to convince him to get actual rest :)

Nezha - so so stoic but TRUST ME, he is internally screaming. How are you so cute and also want to be in a relationship with him of all people?? It’ll take a while, but he relaxes a bit and gets used to being allowed to be sweet and soft and romantic with you. When he’s stressed out he will definitely seek you out so he can chill, especially by just getting down to your level(assuming you’re shorter than him) and hugging you. His absolute favorite thing is wrapping you up in a blanket and carrying you around the house while he just does stuff because then he can have a kiss kiss whenever :3

Macaque - okay so prepare for some teasing from this man in the relationship. He’ll poke some fun at you and call you names associated with bunnies(lovebun is his favorite nickname to call you), but if it honestly bothers you he’ll ease up. Like Nezha, it may take him a minute to allow himself to let his guard down and actually let himself be loved as much as he’s loving you. He’s also pretty protective. He loves snuggling up with you at the end of a very long day more than anything else. It makes him feel safe.

 Wukong - remember the cooking with Chang’e episode? This is exactly like that except you’re not a robot trying to destroy him. Wukong cannot stop himself from squealing almost every time he sees you. He’s very into physical affection, so don’t be surprised if whatever activity you’re up to gets slightly interrupted by loud monkey purring as he nuzzles you. Similar to Macaque, he’ll poke fun at you, but it’s all very lighthearted and never meant as an insult. If you allow him to, he may shrink you down a bit so he can bring you with him wherever. He also cuddles with you and puts his head on your chest a lot.

MK - oooo! This boy most definitely wants to fly with you! Whether it’s transforming himself or convincing you to carry him, it’s gonna happen! He also loves looking at your wings in general. If you’re ever just sitting and chilling with enough room for him to sit behind you so he can be sandwiched in between your wings, expect him to be there. He offers to help take care of them, if you have a specific wing-care routine. Also, probably nicknames you “angel”!

Redson - They think you’re pretty cool, but they’re not gonna make a big deal out of it. Red compliments them a lot, though, just because they think the wings suit you very well. Extremely gentle around them, because they don’t want to set you on fire. You would probably be the one who has to convince them to let you carry them so you can fly together. They’ll be clinging onto you really tight the entire time, though!

Mei - she is OBSESSED. Likes flying with you, feeling them, taking care of them—if I’m honest, she would probably collect feathers that fall off of them or the ones that you can give her—basically, she thinks you’re one of the coolest people she knows. Also, she gets to brag to people that her s/o has super cool wings. Calls you her “guardian angel” since you, as her partner, probably have to help keep her out of trouble.

SWK - He thinks you’re really cool! He also probably does a lot of bird/angel puns, sorry. He lovesss just feeling your wings and practically sleeping on them, at least until you get him to move because you can’t be his pillow ALL day(as nice as it sounds). The other thing he likes is watching you take care of them. Since it’s wayyy different from monkey grooming, he’s not gonna stick his nose in it, but he likes observing. You two fly together a lot!

Macaque - probably sees you as fairly cool compared to the average person. He never asks to touch your wings; he prefers to wait for you to give him full permission. Even then he’s super gentle since he doesn’t know if it’s painful or anything. He likes being surrounded by them since it actually muffles some of the noise he hears. Similar to Redson, you’ll have to convince him to fly with you. It’ll take a lot of trust on his end, but he will do it eventually.

Redson, Mayor, Syntax, and Macaque Confession Headcanons!

Redson - it’s so elaborate and dramatic. They most definitely take you out for a meal first, then after that, they drive you to a special place—probably where you two met or something—and they show you this whole setup with flowers, candles, the whole shebang in order to make it all perfect. It’s like straight out of an anime. They tell you that the past few months are some of the best months of their life. That you’ve really been so kind to them, that you’re one of the only people they can truly tolerate for long periods of time and they appreciate you…and would you like to date them?

Mayor - not as elaborate as Redson, but still very romantic. He’s old fashioned in and out, so he probably takes you to dinner and then to the park so you two can see the sunset. Then he’ll take one of your hands and say he wants to tell you something. That he knows he’s not super perfect or anything, but he’s really happy when he’s with you, and he feels genuinely alive when he’s with you. The man’s a zombie, but he’s doing his best for everyone and his city. But he wants to be with you. Do you want to be with him, too?

Syntax - he’s pretty limited in how he would do it. He thinks he’s really only got one chance, since hey, he’s not exactly the perfect boyfriend material. I could see him doing a video and sending it to you so that way he doesn’t have to say anything face to face, since he’s pretty emotionally reserved. He admits to you that he’s really book smart, he can do calculations in his sleep, but love isn’t something he’s well-versed in. And yet, he’s 100% sure it’s what he’s feeling when he’s around you. Give him a call if you…wanna go out, or something…(awkward spider noises)

Macaque - drama king, coming through. This man waits for the perfect chance, and to him, it’s: going out in the rain with you, dancing, getting up to your usual playful banter, and then stopping to catch your breaths. He probably brushes your hair out of your face. Then he tells you that he’s not that much of a people person, that he trusts so slowly these days that he doesn’t feel like he can keep good relationships with a lot of people. But you…you’re so endlessly patient and kind with him. He understands if you don't feel the same, but would you like to give him a chance? Just this once?

Mayor

You two probably met via Bone Demon BS. 

You may have a neat little artifact that he’s after for his lady, so naturally he goes after you. Unlike many of his other victims, however…you are scarily good at getting away from him.

He’s a ruthless hunter, you have to admit. You learn bits and pieces about him while you play cat and mouse, and it leads to an interesting type of friendship.

He shows up, you two have a pleasant conversation, he tries to steal from you, and you grab a spray bottle full of holy water and kick him out. 

Honestly, the routine is refreshing for him! It’s hard being a zombie, running a city, AND serving a demon mistress!

After he gets his butt handed to him by Wukong, interrogated by the gang, and then promptly gets left behind by his lady, he shows up after everything is over to talk to you. 

He’s in a sorry state…you almost feel bad for him. But he swears that he’s not trying to get anything from you. He just wants to spend time with a comforting familiar face.

It takes a while, but you both really connect with each other and eventually you end up dating :)

Syntax

When his queen sent him to find more potential spider subjects, he thought he’d have a harder time.

You have a lot of potential. You’re dedicated, hardworking…you really do meet the criteria!

Unfortunately for him, you were there during the first spider attack, so you’ve got a darn good idea about how to fend off any potential arachnid attackers. 

He keeps on trying with you, and one day you catch him face to face. You actually manage to beat him up pretty bad—Huntsman laughed at him for hours after he got back to the base

But he knew that this wasn’t about a subject anymore…no, he was delighted in being YOUR enemy. 

He targets you in his schemes a lot, and you can really tell how much of a tsundere he actually is once you’ve been kicking him off of the fire escape for long enough.

Eventually you start leaving peace offerings. Like c’mon, this man is built like a twig, give him some snacks

He finds it odd but he welcomes the meals. Things slow down and even though he still gets on your nerves…you consider him to be your friend.

Once all the Bone Demon BS is over, it takes a hot second but he starts showing up again, and as you both recover from the near end of the world, you click really nicely and you’ll actually probably be the first to make any moves!

Redson

You’re the child of a different demon family, but one that has been allied with the Demon Bull Family for ages. So naturally you two were SUPPOSED to be friends.

Buuuut it’s kinda hard trying to be friends with a kid who not only has mad daddy issues but also mad anger issues. 

Your families still get along but by the gods they don’t leave you two unsupervised because something will be set on fire or destroyed.

You two constantly push each other’s buttons, ESPECIALLY as adults, and sometimes you thwart Redson’s schemes on purpose just to mess with them. 

…and directly after you go over to their place to have dinner and gossip with his mom.

Some special event happens, perhaps a celebration of the fact that the world didn’t end

Hear me out. It’s a gala. Everyone’s dressed up. Including you and Red.

There’s a dance. EVERYONE NEEDS A PARTNER. YOU AND RED ARE DANCE PARTNERS AND EVEN THOUGH YOU BOTH ACT LIKE YOU HATE IT…

Redson - ASDFJHDGAS WHERE ARE YOU GOING COME BACK??? They’re the most likely out of the group to get you a backpack leash. He also probably just yells your name out of habit to try and get your attention so you don’t wander off. Considers putting some kind of magic rune on you that will automatically guide you back to him if you walk away

Mei - oh my gosh she’s just as bad. Will definitely have trackers in your phone and hers so at the very least you can find each other digitally. She’s the type to be like “omg let’s hold hands so we don't get lost it’s like what otters do” and then 3 seconds later she lets go and forgets to keep you in her line of sight. It’s really funny

MK - for him, it’s just a really large and constant game of marco-polo. He has fun trying to find you if you wander off! He only really gets worried if he feels that something is really wrong. He would also probably have a balloon tied to you or something so he could see you in a larger crowd. If worst comes to worst, he goes up to the customer service desk and makes an announcement to call you over.

SWK - He gives you some kind of magic thing that he can use his gold vision to see you with just in case something happens. Other than that, he’s actually the best out of these 4 when it comes to sticking with you. He’s had to keep track of MK for a while now, so it makes sense that he’s developed his skills of person-wrangling. He doesn’t get mad or anything either, unless you wandered off and got into a dangerous situation.

Redson - finds you adorable but will not admit it to your face. The first time you transform in front of them he freaks out a bit but then you turn back and she’s like ah. Once you properly explain how it works I think they’d rile you up on purpose because he has a lot of fun watching you get all excited and then boom! It’s a dog!! In a situation where you transform because you’re mad and Red is hurt bc of another demon, they hold a lot more respect for your other form because oh my gosh…that’s intimidating in a really cool way

Mei - AHHHH she’s obsessed!!! May or may not throw her sword while you’re in your wolf form so you’ll play fetch. Alternatively, taking power naps with each other while she’s in her dragon form and you’re in your wolf form>>>> anyways she no longer has to ask her parents about getting a puppy bc she’s got one <3 of course she loves you outside of your wolf form as well!

MK - loves seeing you transform and probably uses his powers to transform too so you guys can just have fun together! You make a great team this way :) and if you transform for a negative reason(like a lot of anger) he steers clear so he can let you just get it out. He loves you either way! If you don’t mind it, he might buy you a chew toy or two so you have something to do in your other form!

Nezha - very confused at first, but it’s not the strangest thing he’s ever seen, so he rolls with it. Not gonna lie I think once he gets used to it he’d definitely let you play fetch with his spear or use his fire wheels to chase you around. It’s just a really fun way for him to unwind with you and blow off some steam. You two make a good fighting team as well, and RIP to whatever demon decides to mess with Nezha and his partner—once the wolf shows up with an angry teenager it’s all over

Redson - FIRE DUO FIRE DUO—He thinks you’re very cool! Finally, he has someone who can appreciate a lava bath and absurdly hot food with him! Also, they would definitely spoil you with some kind of special scale cleaning stuff for you to use. Never pressures you to take one form or another when you’re with her but I think he has a preference for your Eastern Dragon form just because it’s the one he’s the most familiar with(that and you look really cool ok)

MK - ultimate hype man. It’s basically large s/o x small s/o when you’re in your dragon form it’s wonderful. He loves just watching you,,, be a dragon. Seeing you fly is his favorite thing because he can fly with you!! On his cloud!!! Also maybe bugs you for rides. You obviously don’t have to give him any, but can you really say no to a face like his? Also, expect him to make drawings of your different forms. Pose for him if you feel like it!

I have been hyper fixed on Red son for the past month and also LMK characters meeting future children with the reader. But I wanted a more extended story Red son meeting his future child and not the short bulletins and stuff.

Maybe it set like Meet The Robinson’s where Red is shoved into the future by accident but the only difference is that he knows that the child is his and the readers (He’s smart like that). They both try to get Red son back to the present while trying to not let the reader and the others know that he’s from the past. He gets to met his “friends” when their older and it’s really strange to him. I don’t really know how to end it so take as much creative liberty as you want with this story!

“What…where am I?” Redson got up from his spot on the ground as he tried to get a handle on their surroundings. One moment, she had been in their lab, showing y/n his new Time Machine…the next, there was a flash of light and they had no clue where he was. 

Dusting themselves off, they recognized the space. Albeit covered in different blueprints and furniture, the room was the same—it was still the lab they always worked in. It was even still missing its smoke detector, for obvious reasons.

They walked over and examined the first paper they could see. It was a messy sketch, but he could tell it was meant to be a hover bike. What made it special, a poorly handwritten note said, was that the wheels could transform and make it a regular bike if needed. Smart, they thought.

The sound of the door’s code being entered caught his attention and immediately they prepared to either hide or attack. What threw them off was the appearance of a teenager-looking person.

He was below her current height, with messy red hair that was pulled back into a bun that clearly was too much for the hair tie. He had eyes that were the same color as y/n’s. And there was a sizable seat of bull horns with a bull tail to match.

“What on earth…Who are you?!” They both pointed at each other, like that one Spider-Man meme that Mei had shown Redson a while ago. It would have made them laugh, were they not currently panicking and realizing that not only had the time machine worked, but they were face to face with his and y/n’s child.

“I’m the owner of this lab! And you—“ the teen paused, looking Redson up and down. “—look scarily like my dad.” 

“That’s because I am! But, if I know anything about time travel, I can’t see myself. So now I’m making it both our problem.” They fixed their glasses. With a scoff, the teenager looked around. 

“I don’t see a time machine.”

“So I’ll make a new one while I’m here,” Redson began poking around the different toolboxes and scrap metal in the space. “In the meantime, what’s your name?”

“It’s Zhou. And I can help, you know!”

They continued to try and make small talk with each other while they worked to put together a much more compact version of the time machine, however Redson couldn’t help but be distracted by Zhou. Sure, he looked like Red, but he acted a lot like y/n. He was careful with whatever he built, and his powers were concentrated. He grew worried when he’d almost accidentally burnt Redson, even though they both were fireproof. It honestly was sweet to see.

“There. Now I’ll be going—“ Red stopped when Zhou caught them by the hand.

“You can’t just jump in! You need to do a test run!” He suggested. Red stepped back and looked around, before seeing a blank piece of paper and crumpling it. She threw it inside the machine and set it to a few weeks in the future. 

“If I’m correct, which I usually am, this paper will come back and be a small pile of dust.” They pressed the buttons and the machine vanished in a flash of light. It reappeared only a moment later. Lo and behold, the paper was no longer a crumpled ball, but was a small dirt pile. 

“I guess it does work.” Zhou said. 

“Indeed. I’ll be off now,” Redson paused halfway into the machine, looking back at her future child. He stood with a hand on his other arm, tail swaying as he looked at the ground. Redson sighed. They reached a hand out and patted him on the head. “Thank you for helping me. I can’t wait to meet you again.”

And in another flash of light, the machine was gone. 

Redson was happy to reappear in the lab again, this time right where they were before. Y/n was still sitting in the chair that was closer to the desk. 

“So, how was it?” She asked.

“Huh? How long was I gone?”

“Only a few seconds. What’d you see?”

“Oh, um…” Red hesitated, stepping out and dusting themselves off. “I don’t know. It looked about the same.”

“Aw man. No cool flying cars?”

“My love, we literally have hover bikes.”

“Oh, right!”

LMK Characters at a Cookout Headcanons! (PLATONIC)(GN READER)

Sun Wukong - I feel like he'd have fun at a cookout as long as he knows a handful of people there. He'll stay with them for the most part and will be fine introducing himself to new people. If not, then he is going to stick to the edges of any crowd, take some food, and do his best to stay out of things. He can act calm all he wants but just know that he's screaming internally lmao. He's a little awkward as a whole but even more so if he somehow gets invited again. He might think it's a joke on him, but once you explain it's genuine he is RELIEVED.

Macaque - not a social butterfly, but will go if you're going. He's nice to whoever talks to him but ultimately he'll prefer to take a plate of food and find a quiet spot. If he knows more than one person there, he'll be less of a wallflower and more of a performer; he's excellent at small talk and a lot of people at the cookout probably end up admiring his charm. Most likely invited again but no one pressures him.

MK - oh this is perfect for him. He loves a chance to eat good food and socialize! MK's really good at meeting people and just generally being nice, and if it's a family cookout everyone's like "you should come back next time!" "Oh you're such a nice young man!" And basically he's part of the family now. He'll stick by you if you want him to, but if he hears someone talking about something interesting or something he likes, he may also gravitate towards them!

Redson - a little uptight about the whole thing, Red may panic and bring a dish of their own to the cookout to get on everyone's good side. But his mother taught him well in terms of social events, and you'd be lying if you said you weren't impressed at how easily Red can adapt to her environment. He's chatting it up with whoever approaches him and, similar to MK, will most likely be invited to the next one.

Mei - oh she's chilling! She's super happy you invited her, she loves these types of things! She'll start off super friendly, happy to introduce herself to people. But if she sees you uncomfortable with someone or if someone is rude to her, she'll switch it up and may be a little more feisty toward them. She'll try whatever foods there are even if she has no idea what it is. If something strikes her fancy she'll hunt the chef down and ask for the recipe. Also gets invited back!

What about Red Son reacting to the reader being LBD's host and the aftermath?

Okay so this boy will be stressed out of their mind. First his father has to play host(which was scary enough) and now one of the VERY few people he cares about has to do it too??? WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE ANYTHING THESE DAYS

You're at stake. That's plenty of motivation to want to team up with the Monkie Gang a little faster.

I Headcanon that those under LBD's control are aware of what they're doing--since when Wukong got possessed he moved as if it was a struggle. So you're forced to do all these terrible things because LBD needs a vessel and you're a good fit.

You see Redson fighting, fighting for you, fighting for their parents. And you feel helpless because it's not your fault she's so powerful, you don't want to hurt anyone, especially not Redson

The main battle happens, and you're yeeted away from her control. You're super weak from what little fighting against her you were able to do, but the last thing you see before passing out is Redson.

When you wake up, you're on Flower Fruit with all the others, post-battle. You're laying on the ground with something draped over you....it's Redson's jacket :D

He sees you're awake and immediately starts asking you how you are, do you need anything, are you in pain, etc

You're kinda amazed he's being this nice, especially in front of the others.

"Red." "I--yes?" "Relax." "yup you got it."

He's extra mindful of you for a bit. They let you sleep at their place, they send you with runes for protection whenever you're on your own, and perhaps the best privilege is getting his soft side.
