I’d say Ragnarok Loki is more INFP. I’ll explain why I believe this. Introverted over Extroverted: he doesn’t seem to go out of his way to talk with people, nor does he seem to need others to feel much more energized. I know that socialization can help pretty much anyone to feel better, but if anything he just seems tired on the ship at the end of the movie. On a scale o from 1 to 10, 1 being extremely introverted, and 10 being extremely extroverted, I’d have him at a 4, a careful middle leaning toward introversion.

Intuition over Sensing: “Always so perceptive, about everyone but yourself”. He’s incredibly skilled at sorcery; his interest in reading, history, culture, would all point to someone artistically inclined or with a creative, intelligent mind. When we get a look at the young female Loki in the Loki series, we see that she is playing with dolls. If her desire to play with fantasy rather than physical activities carries over into the male Loki we all know and love (I would not say her counterpart because all the Loki variants are different in many ways) that’s yet another thing to convince me. I just want to say that if his interests were this impressive and he’s really this into knowledge, then a modern earth Loki would understand references from thousands of obscure or popular sources.

Feeling over Thinking: that aloof indifference is all his mask. He truly cares about other people, deep down, though he may not show it often. Whether his emotional unavailability is caused by the torture he endured while imprisoned by the Black Order or his apparent childhood trauma, he does have feelings. This isn’t to say he won’t hurt people’s feelings deliberately out of spite (or even grief). The look in his eyes when releasing Valkyrie from his mind-walking hold just seems like he’s absorbing all that he’s just seen (because surely he went in and tried to see more than that) screams “My god, I know your pain, I know what it’s like to want to give up and throw yourself away due to failure after failure, letting others down when they need you, trying to distance yourself when you know that you can never stop caring.” And maybe that’s just my intuition talking, but I can really feel when other people have felt the same pain I have.

Perceiving over Judging: he’s impulsive, yes, but this was harder to decide than the others. I actually have a book on MBTI types in children to teenagers. Perceivers like flexibility and spontaneity, they find the rules to be limiting and strict, they’re very curious and impulsive and they love to adapt to things that are usually frustrating to others. Loki exhibits many of those traits, however he also has a few judging traits.

Honestly at first I thought he was ENFJ or INFJ.

No.

First, let’s make it clear that it’s hard to type a character accurately 100%. Unless of course you are the creator of said character or are the character in question.

That being said, I’ve noticed people saying that Loki is an INTP; and that is ridiculous. As an INTP, I just don’t see it. He may pretend to be, but he’s crazily emotional and very short sighted. If anything I’d say he’s an ISFJ. (I’m not going to go into huge detail here, but…)

1. He refuses to listen to what others are saying because he’s too blinded by what he’s experienced. (S) 

2. He’s fueled by his emotions, he may keep them in check sometimes; but everything stems from how he’s feeling what his mood is. 

 I am by no means an expert here so refrain from any abuse and such, because I’m not one of those crazy fans etc. Though feel free to discuss your take on it.  I just don’t think he’s an INTP. I suppose you could mistake his F for T because you’re comparing him to Thor, which makes him seem more a T; but there are other factors to take into consideration. This is not a black and white subject. 

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT WE COULD’VE HAD FLUFFY HAIR LOKI THIS WHOLE TIME?!?!

Can y’all incredible artists of the Tumblr please draw or AI generate pictures of Loki wand generate them to look like Thor 1 Loki with the soft look and the short hair?? Like I mean, take Ragnarok Loki and give him the same Ragnarok outfit but… make him the soft happy Loki again.

I find the whole "what makes a Loki a Loki" running theme so amazingly tragic, like.

"We’re destined to lose" "A Loki survives", etc. anyway, after rewatching Loki, reading some comics / books [the President Loki + journey into mystery series, as well as AOA and some of the immortal Thor] I’ve come to my own .. equally tragic conclusion.

What makes a Loki a *Loki* is the fact they lose everyone close to them, without fail, everytime. Sylvie’s whole timeline was ‘reset’ In journey into mystery [S1] Kid Loki says his nexus event was "Killing Thor" [total bullshit btw, they didn’t directly kill Thor, however, I digress.] , even after Kid Loki, classic Loki, boastful Loki and Ali Loki group together, they’re still split apart. [justice for Kid Loki btw, I love them so much and they’re so sad, little fella]

Boastful Loki betrays them, Classic Loki dies to Alioth for his glorious purpose, leaving only classic Loki + Alligator Loki [croki if you will], THEY. LOSE. EVERYONE. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Other Lokis, the ones who were pruned clearly lost everyone because .. they’re, well, Variants.

The ending to the show with Loki leaving everyone is further proof, and im almost certain that if I look into every Loki variant, every comic, whatever, it can and will have the same outcome. Sif said it, and I’m saying it. "You are alone, and you always will be."

What makes a Loki a Loki is that they’re destined to be alone, in the end, anyway.

This Loki accepted their inability to inherit the throne long ago, even going so far as to renounce Odin. While they have every right to the throne of Jotunheim, they don’t wish to rule.

they travel across the realms instead, more often than not creating chaos in their path. Ofcourse they never stray away from Asgard too long, despite their appearance I promise they aren’t terrible! As far as Lokis go anyway.

Although [amongst others] they do still have a rather nasty scar on their back; a direct hit from Thors lightning during a fight. [don’t worry, they’re over it now .. mostly.]
