me, shoving the agent of asgard comics in their hands and crying: please….no comic elitistism here….but PLEASE read just this……..for an accurate insight into his character…….

Right, I had to say something, cause I love the comics Agent of Asgard Loki, and so far the show is pretty good. However! Calling the show Loki Genderfluid feels a bit off to me. Like even if Marvel does go that route (as much as I’d live it), it would seem a bit forced for ‘diversity points’ because of

1) the character being long established as a straight cis man, or at least not giving us any reason or representation to think otherwise

2) after this long I really think that it’s letting Marvel and by extension, Disney off the hook for their lack of diversity in the past.

So how do we fix this?

I hear you ask 😌

Well, I propose the one thing the Hiddlestoners will hate me for -

We re-cast Loki.

Loki is all about his mercurial nature in popular culture, and the nature of change and flow (I mean Norse mythology as a whole has the cyclical structure of Ragnarok), and recasting Loki, potentially in the same sort of ‘ego-death/rebirth’ of the comics Agent of Asgard run would be a perfect time to allow Tom Hiddlestons Loki to not become old and stagnant now he’s finished all his narrative arcs, and not only be a prime opportunity for the representation we deserve, but! Also fit into the Young Avengers line up that seems to be setting up with Billy and Tommy, Kate Bishop (in Hawkeye), Cassie Lang, and others (Like in the comics, where he was a part of this line up for a while as Kid-Loki until he grew into Genderfluid agent of Asgard Harry Styles Loki)

Sorry for my lack of punctuation, I feel very strongly about this, and I’m more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have about Comics Loki or the Young Avengers as a whole, cause they’re iconic, I’m gay and I could talk about them all day 😌
