Gen Z - Tumblr Posts
Bella Swan as Gen Z would’ve totally redeemed her. Someone please write her as a teenager living in 2019. I would say this year, but this year ducking sucks for so many reasons
If the Cullens adopted a Human!Gen Z Girl
Carlisle *patting her on the head*: Good job on your test, sweetie!
Gen Z *freaking out*: What? What was that? Why did you pet me?
Carlisle, confused: I’m proud of you, that was affection...
Gen Z, even more confused: That was what?! You’re what?!!!
Esme, from upstairs: *strangled sobs*
Jeopardy Episode Idea
I came up with this idea while watching jeporady with my fam.
Ok so for the gen z kids there should be an episode where they bring in older people and have the categories be gen z / millennial stuff. 2 ideas for categories are "finish that tik tok song" and "name that dance". For the song category we could play popular songs of tik tok and cut them off at a certain part. For example for "sex" by eden we could cut it off right before it says "Oh no I think im catching feeling". That is what they would have to say to get it right. For the tik tok dances show clips of dances and have the contestants guess the name. Like show a clip of someone doing "the woah" and have them guess that name.
Idk if there's already something like this but if there is plz let me know.
Where’s the essay OP
Peter Parker, also known as the popular hero ‘Spider-Man’, is roughly 16-17 years old (in the timeline I’m using), meaning he was born in either 2001 or 2002. Contrary to popular belief, this places him firmly in the ‘Gen Z’ category, rather than in the millennial category than many place him in. By extrapolating this information, we can conclude that Peter Parker not only knows what a furry is, but has to constantly grapple with the fact that his spider-centric identity is, in fact, his fursona. In this essay I will—

We are the last humans in history who grew up without internet. We are the first humans in history who grew up with internet. We're the shift, the link.
I once heard someone describe gen z as "cats in human skin" and I've never heard a more accurate thing
this generation just doesn’t go outside anymore. they don’t appreciate the subtle sound of machinery and the faint electric humming of nature, the calming scent from the sewage river, the lively 600° summer days, or the smog clouds that decorate the beautiful bleak sky. they just sit all day on their little screens ignoring the world around them. why do they choose to live like this?
isn't it weird that between the ages of ~20 and late 30s/ 40s, unless you have teenagers in the house or work with them, it's hard to know what they're really like? because of course you're in touch with teenagers when you are one, and then you generally start to know/ be around more once people your age have older kids. i've been seeing a ton of press lately about gen alpha and younger gen z and it's peculiar to not be able to compare it with personal experience.
as kind of a side thought, it's also weird to think that i and people in my age range might interact with gen alpha/ young gen z way more than we realize through social media, but they are homogenized into the ageless everyman of the comment section. maybe that isn't the case though, i suspect my feeds are generally pretty isolated, but it's strange having limited means to find out.
i hadn't really considered any of this until i joined the r/teachers subreddit and found their accounts of teenage culture and emerging trends really interesting. some of today's teenagers' slang, tastes, behaviors and vibes as described in the posts are familiar but some are not, and that little knowledge gap seems to be where sensationalized headlines find a hold.
i'd think this pattern repeats roughly every 15-20 years. is this kind of generational window of oblivion a piece of how generations are distinguished from each other and define their identities? i imagine generations today in western countries are more isolated than at perhaps any other time in history, with the decline of multi-generational households, older average age of marriage and childrearing, and longer lifespans. i'm curious what kinds of cultural effects that might have, if any.
Exactly what my life has been since I was like 15. And basically 5 years later still getting it.
yeah some more gen z culture? how bout being stuck in the endless loop of “you’re too young to understand” and “you need to grow up”
Modern Girl in Middle Earth
just for fun, please don't be disappointed

The girl had originally come from the modern world, but by now had spent quite a few years in middle earth and was accustomed to it. She grew into a strong warrior, conquering many great evils throughout the three films with her willpower and prowess.
These days, she was recognized by many dwarves, elves, and men for being a skilled warrior. Many days were filled with conflict, but in times of peace it was different.
In times of peace (Y/n) enjoyed more mundane activities, such as touching up her manicure, keeping up her snapstreaks, and watching Dr. Pimple Popper.
-_- flirting is so hard tbh. like darling i’m TRYING to rizz you up here.
on another note though i have the vocabulary of an british gentlemen having his brain being slowly wiped with a damp cloth by gen z.
one of my friends got in a wreck (not caused by her dw) and she’s okay but she took a BeReal of it and that’s the funniest thing to me. Call it girlhood, being Gen Z, whatever it is it’s great.
It was truly time to ‘be real’ and her car was quite literally smushed.
something something something GOLDFISH.
(i haven’t had goldfish in years)

“If I had known you would have been this difficult to work with I wouldn’t have chosen to tutor you.” The retired Hero groaned staring down at the 15 year old standing before the.
“Sorry Boomer.” Said the sidekick. “Blame my parents, their the ones making me go through with this shit.” They were flicking their phone so fast that the hero doubted they were taking in any of the information that was being shown in front of them.
“What the fuck in a Boomer?” The Hero asked.
The young Super looked up from their phone since the first time they had entered the house.
“Oh I have so much to teach you.” They smirked shaking their head.
Wasn’t the Hero suppose to teach them.
