Lately all i can think about is the core4 as children running around the isle and like can you imagine mal being little feral goblin child with fae features like pointy ears acting all tough bc she is Maleficent child and that means something at least. So this little goblin with purple hair and pointy ears and those green eyes and a smirk on her face always causing trouble and running around.
Jay with his charming smile and fast hands jumping around like no one else and just acting like a little shit stealing everything he puts his eyes on just for fun and to prove he is the best thief out there. Jay with fists always ready and itching for a fight so he can show everyone that he is strong and he is the best
Carlos being small and all bones and nerves and looking so fragile and weak to the others with his curls so long that cover his face. Always tinkering with something and with his hands always dirty and being the fastest and running like no else and making himself look smaller to avoid fights but actually being capable of defending himself bc he is still an isle boy and they didn't call him callous for no reason
And Evie with her smiles and her sweet voice looking out of place between all these villains with her perfect dresses and hair and make up on point all sweet talk and charming words batting her eyelashes and catching everyone's eyes. Evie all angelic on the outside with vials and potions hidden in her purse always ready to burn the ones who dare to get too close and underestimate her
I just love them sm and I need to draw them all as children
Don’t know if anyone else has picked up on this one, but I found another instance of doing things in 3s from the Descendants movies.
In the final song of all 3 films, Ben lifts Mal.
He does it in Set It Off, You And Me, and Break This Down.

Speaking of, I think Disney has handled the marketing for Descendants better than Netflix and Stranger Things.
Hey Netflix, it's one decent YA novel a year all written by the same author to fill a hiatus, not a bunch of expanded universe garbage thrown into the void all at once. Did you guys not learn from Lucasfilm and the years of shitty side novels?
The hype after watching the trailers for Stranger Things 3 and Descendants 3… I feel personally attacked
Netflix is trying really hard to have Stranger Things compete with Disney Channel and Descendants 3 right now.

Language Headcannons
All the VKs speak multiple languages due to the fact that the Isle is a cultural melting pot, because even villains care about their culture. Most people speak 3-4 languages fluently, it is one of the advantages the VKs have over the AKs.
Everyone knows at least 2 languages fluently.
Everyone knows random words and phrases from languages they don't speak.
The most common languages are English, French, Chinese, German and Arabic
The least common are Faire Speak, Latin, Greek and Atlantican due to the lack of speakers on the Isle.
The Pirates know the most languages out of everyone because their parents wanted them to be able to travel anywhere. They also know Atlantican, Greek, Latin and Faire Speak because Uma, her cousins/siblings and the Hook Siblings taught them.
Freddie and Celia speak French and Creole
Most VK’s just speak their parent’s language as a first language

I’ve been trying to sync my copy of the Descendants 3 soundtrack onto my IPod today, BUT IT’S NOT FUCKING WORKING AT ALL!!!!!
in 2020 I rewrote the entire descendants world to be better and make more sense but the only thing I can remember from it now is that
trans kids on the Isle had to go in front of the leaders of the Isle, renounce their deadnames, stab themselves anywhere, and reveal their new true names.
