Okay so the first wave of the Splatoon 3 paid dlc is already out and quite frankly I don't plan on buying it until Wave 2. The first wave only comes with an updated version of the Splatoon 1s plaza on the Wii U and a Squid Sisters themed name tag. Although it's nice to see Callie and Marie again in their old booth I am feeling a little cheated that we can't see them perform the news like old times. Instead it's still the new band "Deep Cut". (Not that I hate them or anything (Big Man is on thin ice but w/e)) And the more I wrestled with it the more I thought "yeah the devs /should/ write new dialogue for the SS, we're PAYING for this."

Then moving on to Wave 2's "Side Order", it seems to be a successor to the beloved Octo Expansion from the 2nd game. And there is this little theory floating around the community that when (the severely under appreciated) Agent 4 shows up in Splat 3 they will be a villain. Why?? Because why not? There honestly is no reason for Agent 4 to willingly be against Agent 8 (the protagonist of Side Order) when it is extremely likely that they met after Octo Expansion (both being agents for Squidbeak). I've seen a lot of people argue that 4 was "forgotten" or "abandoned" by everyone else and that's why they don't show up in Splatoon 3 (even though the same logic can be applied to 8 but everybody loves 8 so of course not) and even in universe there isn't a single character with a significant grudge against 4 (and only 4) to justify this.

What if she just quit being an agent and when back to school? What if she and 8 are just protecting Inkopolis while the Captain is in Splatsville? I just don't get it. I mean I DESPERATELY want more Agent 4 content but seriously? Where did this villain theory come from anyway?

Dude I DESPERATELY wanna get into splatoon. I haven't played any of the games but God knows the chaos I will create once I get my sweaty little paws on this fucking game

Kitty loves how charlie keeps going and she always has. Sometimes when she's sad she thinks about continues to push forward even if that means needing to lay in bed doing nothing all day. Also she likes how together they make an even bigger idiot than humanly possible

Citrine likes the way Auron smells. I can see her just burying herself in his laundry and just living there/lh

Dot loves Al cause he's fucking pink and fun what more could you possibly want (also cause he's super supportive and down for almost anything)

Blue really appreciates their general dynamic. It's very easy for them to make small memories with each other cause everything they do with each other is a good time. Also Blue loves Seth's hair.

Echo idolizes Finns commitment to his hobbies and how much he knows about them. They love seeing him get really focused on smth he loves doing. Also they get a lot of deja vu around each other

Ok here's the thing about my Huxley design

I've always wanted someone who I could walk with in a forest, go sit by a nice river, lay on the ground on a blanket and just listen to nature making it's music for a while.

So I literally did my damndest to design him as that feeling that I so desperately crave. He's so special to me💕💕

I am asking about your listeners, do you have any random or fun facts about them? Or anything you'd like to share in general? I love hearing about other people's characters

most of my listeners are based on different myths. Angel is based on Hermes, Darlin is based on the story of Chang'e when she drank the potion in a self sacrifice way, Sunshine is based on the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, you get it.

Sweetheart is based on the Cheshire cat (milo really is a cat person haha) and Freelancer is loosely inspired by monkie kid characters no one talk about it./lh

also Freelancer sings a lot of death metal they love to scream.

none of my listeners (or even my versions of the canon characters) are white. every character I've drawn so far is either a poc or a literal demon

Angel used to do competitive fighting when he was younger and he was really good at it. He doesn't fight anymore, but he can for sure throw someone over his shoulder still.

Sweetheart is a fucking loser. cringefail. sopping wet kitten trying to drink milk core. Hunter from the owl house vibes.

also he gets really competitive with Milo over anything.

things Angel likes: long car rides, trips to different cities, boba, strawberry flavored things, ironing orange fruit patches to David's clothes, k-pop, magical girl/shonen anime, making you reveal all your secrets to them because they play dumb to make you think this squishy little cherub wont make it his goal to know your backstory. he knows everything about you. things you didnt even know about yourself.

things Darlin likes, but secretly: blueberries, sweets, cute fluffy things, going up to people and hugging them from behind without saying anything about it, Angel telling them he was never intimidated by them, Angel painting their nails, holding Milo's hand, cuddling with Asher, watching David cook, Sam petting his hair/taking care of them in general and finally fucking destROYING EVERYONE IN ANY GAME THEYRE PLAYING AND MAKING EVERYONE FEEL BAD ABOUT IT.
