——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Mingyu was standing in front of the mirror in his bedroom. He was fixing his tie. He wasn't sure who he was dressing to impress tonight. Truth be told, he found a random date for tonight's winter formal from another brother. Something about how his date didn't want to be the only one in attendance? He asked some girl from the same sorority.
Looking at his reflection, he let out a puff of air. It all felt wrong. He was supposed to go with you. You were his girlfriend for the past year and half, dammit. How could he be so careless to let you slip through his fingers?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were walking across campus from your lecture. Every Wednesday night, you found yourself at the frat house. It has been routine for you since getting together with Mingyu. Thursday nights were reserved for chapter meetings, while Fridays and Saturdays were for parties, mixers, and other social obligations. Wednesdays were reserved for you before the chaos and the other days for recovery with you. Sometimes cleaning up larger messes.
The two of you met during orientation week. Not during your freshman year. The two of you were tabled next to each other, trying to entice the new students into joining your respective organizations.
Mingyu accidentally hip-checked your table. It caused the photo display to fall over and flyers to scatter throughout the quad. He quickly apologized before chasing around the papers getting blown in the wind for you. You thought he was the most adorable person you met.
A year and a half later, you guys have been going steady. Both of you lived very busy lives but always seemed to find time for one another. He always made you a priority. That was one of the reasons why Mingyu gave you a key to the fraternity house. All the brothers not only respected you but they loved having you around. They also were happy to see their president happy.
You unlocked the front door with the key. Once the door was unlocked, you pushed it open. You glanced towards the coat rack, seeing Mingyu's leather jacket hung up. You smiled now you got confirmation he was home. You noticed the array of shoes thrown around. A few you recognized, but there were a few you didn't. Maybe one of the guys has a girl over or something?
You decided to go see for your golden retriever boyfriend. You were sure wherever you and Mingyu were heading to, you would end up coming back here at the end of the night. Seeing that Mingyu wasn't anywhere in sight downstairs, he was either upstairs or down in the makeshift gym.
Quietly, you ascended upstairs towards Mingyu's room. On the way up, you passed by Wonwoo's room who had the door slightly open. You glanced by, seeing he had his headphones on and was playing a video game. He was always so quiet around you but so gentle. You were grateful for friends like him for Mingyu.
Standing outside of Mingyu's door at the end of the hall, you didn't hear much. Maybe he was taking a nap?
You knocked three times on the door. Something you always did to identify yourself behind a closed door. When you got no response, you figured he was actually asleep or maybe had headphones on as he studied. The fraternity house and its brothers could get rather rowdy.
When you didn't get an answer, you twisted the doorknob and pushed it open. The room was dark. The light from out in the hallway provided enough for you to see what was going on.
God, do you wish you never ventured upstairs.
The further you ventured into the room, the more you could see what was in front of you. A woman with long blonde hair was lying in bed. Her back was towards you, topless. Mingyu had his arms wrapped around her. Both of them were asleep.
Your heart shattered in two.
Instead of making a large scene, you decided to step out of the room completely. You closed the door gently, not wanting to disturb the two. All you wanted in that moment was to get out of this house as quickly as possible.
______________________________________________________________
Mingyu had no idea you even saw him. He knew what he did was wrong, he was ashamed of himself. Even disgusted. Later that afternoon, he woke up to texts from you.
You could have at least told me you wanted to see other people rather than me finding you in bed with another woman. We're done. Key is on the kitchen table.
He wanted to run after you that day, but he just couldn't. He hurt you. Mingyu had no right to come begging for forgiveness. All he could do was acknowledge the hurt he caused and move on with his life.
Little did he know, you had turned into the arms of his best friend, Jeon Wonwoo.
Now, Wonwoo didn't like to eavesdrop. It was never his intention. He always had his gaming headphones on standby the moment you entered the room next door. He heard the squeaking of the floor as you walked past, instantly recognizing your light footsteps compared to the stomps of his housemates.
Wonwoo's always had a little crush on you. The two of you met when Mingyu decided to introduce you to everyone. Unlike girls Mingyu has been with before, there was something different about you. You took the time to introduce yourself to each member, which Wonwoo was impressed by. Usually, most girls keep quiet and let Mingyu do the talking. He was brought in by your warm personality.
He also quickly learned why Mingyu had fallen for you. You were someone that always liked to lend a helping out, so your kindness was genuine. It was not just a way to charm people upon first interactions. You were always willing to lend a hand out around the fraternity house, something you were never obligated to do. Yet, you always wanted to make it known how grateful you were for the boys for hosting and wanting to return the favor.
You were also breathtaking. You could be so angelic yet the ideas that Wonwoo had in his mind were a bit darker. It didn't help that some nights he did in fact hear you over his headphones. He sometimes found himself eyeing your lips, wondering what it would be like to be against his, to feel them on him. Your smile made him smile, even on the days he wanted to crawl to his room and isolate himself. You were the sunshine of his life.
God, he envious of Mingyu.
He was anticipating to hear you move into the interior of Mingyu's room but for a while, it was silent. The hinges on Mingyu's bedroom door sounded but they didn't close. He didn't hear either your voice or his best friend's. Deciding to investigate, he saw you slowly close the door. One hand resting on the door itself while you pulled, as if you didn't want to disturb him. That's weird. Maybe Mingyu was sleeping, but why is she leaving? She always stayed.
Slowly, Wonwoo eased out of the room to evaluate what was going on. Maybe he could keep you company until Mingyu comes back from class?
Once you turned towards him, he was at full attention. You jumped, not expecting to see anyone in the house since it was the middle of the day. Let alone you weren't expecting to run into Mingyu's best friend. Wonwoo noticed the tears starting to fill your hypnotic eyes. His urge to protect, to take care of you taking over. "He's cheating on me, Wonwoo," you whispered. You were almost in disbelief yourself. Sure, you've had the occasion lover's spat, but didn't every couple? You always believed Mingyu was too good to be true. Looks like you were right.
Just hearing your statement caused Wonwoo's heart to break for you but his anger also to boil. How could Mingyu be so stupid? Any best friend might jump to the defense of their friend, but Wonwoo couldn't. Not when it looked like you were falling apart. His priority was you.
Without thinking about it, Wonwoo's arms opened up to you. You were a bit hesitant at first, not knowing if there would be ramifications for seeking comfort in the arms of your now-ex boyfriend's best friend, one of his fraternity brothers. Yet, Wonwoo has always been extremely kind to you. You instantly went into his arms, your face burying into his shoulder where you finally let your tears fall. You hated to cry in front of people, not wanting to be seen as weak.
"Come on, let's get you out of here."
That afternoon turned into a whole night with Wonwoo. He spent as much time as you wanted with him. To Wonwoo, he would spend all day every day with you if allowed. You guys went out for a drive first, sensing you just needed the space to breathe and feel your emotions. Staying in the fraternity house was not an option especially since you were trying to make your great escape.
Wonwoo drove you two around for about an hour. That was when you began to confide in Wonwoo what happened. Maybe you felt comforted by the fact Wonwoo had to stay focus on driving, so you could let more tears fall without him watching you. Maybe it was the fact it was Wonwoo, someone who was a great listener that allowed you to speak freely.
One thing for sure though, Wonwoo was grateful you two weren't at the fraternity house. Mingyu would definitely be in the hospital now for the distress he caused you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been now 3 months since Mingyu had see any sign of you.
"So, who are you even bringing for tonight? I know you're not the type to steal someone's date," Mingyu overheard Seungcheol ask Wonwoo.
Ever since you left his world, Mingyu has felt blue. And it was his own wrongdoing. What made matters worse is that he felt his friendship with Wonwoo, his friend since Day 1, start to dissolve. He couldn't put his finger on why.
"Oh trust me, I've only got eyes for one thing and that's making sure my date is having the best night."
All the guys gathered in the foyer of the house cheered and whistled at Wonwoo's response. Mingyu was stood at the top of the staircase, keeping his presence unknown for now. His eyebrows furrowed together as he let the commotion downstairs sink in. Wonwoo was interested in someone? Since when? He felt like he didn't even know his best friend anymore.
Everyone was waiting for their dates to appear as the party bus would be taking everyone to the formal. Seungcheol's date already arrived for the evening, as well as Vernon's. Mingyu's date said that she would be running late.
Ding dong.
Mingyu's head picked up towards the door. Maybe she was here already? Mingyu fixed the blazer he was wearing as he began to walk down the stairs but he froze when he saw movement from his peripheral. He noticed Wonwoo appear and head towards the door, opening it was ease. I mean, it could have been Wonwoo's date after all? He was intrigued to know who this mystery girl could be.
"You know, you still should have let me come pick you up," Wonwoo laughed. He sounded happy which made Mingyu feel good. But he couldn't quite make out who he was speaking to, both being unable to hear and see due to Wonwoo's structure. It was clear that his date was shorter.
"You look absolutely gorgeous, honey," Wonwoo said. Maybe his date was more than just a date? "Thank you, baby," the feminine voice said.
Yet, it sounded so familiar to Mingyu. Was it someone fro class? One of the sorority girls that often mixed with? Mingyu tried is best to know everyone he interacted with, always wanting to be polite. He was getting more impatient by the second that passed without a reveal.
Wonwoo's arm wrapped around you, leading you inside. Once Wonwoo turned around, Mingyu's world came crumbling down. The guys gathered gasp once Wonwoo led you inside and out of the cold.
Y/n. Y/n is Wonwoo's date?
Mingyu felt his blood run cold. How could this be happening? Since when were you talking to Wonwoo? Since when did Wonwoo ever have any interest in you? Was this the reason why Wonwoo was no longer speaking to him?
All the guys seemed overjoyed both see Wonwoo happy but also to see you. Often, whispers of how the guys missed seeing you around filled the halls of the house. It drove Mingyu furious knowing he was at fault for your disappearance. He couldn't blame you for no longer wanting to show face around the fraternity. But his brothers also missing you served as a reminder how badly he messed up. "Y/n, you're radiating!" "Wonwoo, how the fuck did you manage to get y/n?" "It's so good to see you again! Are you and Wonwoo official? Are you the girl he's been sneaking off to?"
You giggled as you glanced up at Wonwoo, a smile on your lips. Mingyu shattered as he saw you rest your hand on his chest, running it up and down. Just like you used to do for him. Wonwoo wore the widest grin before pushing his glasses up the bridge of his noise, making sure to keep his arm around you. You guys were so in love. God, I think I'm going to be sick.
Mingyu didn't dare want to hear the response Wonwoo was about to say. He tried moving back upstairs, but the squeak of the wooden staircase gave him away. Damn this old house! The conversation stopped and all eyes immediately went towards him, following the sound of the noise.
He slowly looked over from his position on the staircase. Mingyu wanted to be angry at Wonwoo for getting close to you, for filling in his space in your life. He saw the way you stuck to Wonwoo's side, almost hiding yourself from Mingyu.
Buzz buzz.
Mingyu's phone vibrated from his pants pocket. He couldn't even address everyone as he used his phone going off to distract him. At least he could think of the right things to say.
"Hey Gyu, I'm so sorry to do this last minute. I gotta cancel.. came down with the stomach bug. I'll make it up to you"
Fucking great.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The whole ride to the formal was tortuous for Mingyu. He sat on one end of the party bus while you and Wonwoo occupied another section. Several bodies were in between the two of you, but Mingyu still had a good view of you.
Everyone was chatting, catching up and getting to know each other. Especially the girls in attendance, as for many this was the first time meeting. Most people were enjoying the drinks provided by the bus company. Music was playing which drowned out most of the conversations happening except for those immediately to your side.
Wonwoo was to your left side, your body leaning into his a bit. Not once during the whole ride, unless someone spoke directly to Wonwoo, did his eyes leave you. He looked at you like you were his whole world. And he gets it. To Mingyu, you are just as precious. He just never thought he'd witness this love tragedy of his best friend falling for his girl.
You wore wearing a dark blue dress that stopped short at your thighs. You crossed your legs, so your right thigh was resting on top of your left. It caused your dress to hike up, exposing more of your leg. Mingyu swallowed the lump that suddenly formed in his throat. Absolute torture.
Someone cleared the their throat beside Mingyu before a sharp jab to the ribs.
Mingyu let out a small groan before eyes went blazing to the person next to him. Seungcheol put his arms in defense. "Dude, I'm just looking out for you. You're staring."
With a raised eyebrow, Mingyu looked back over to you. But instead of your eyes, he was met with Wonwoo giving him a death stare. You had your head turned, speaking to Vernon's date while Wonwoo looked like he was ready to rip off Mingyu's head. Oh fuck.
Wonwoo's gaze eased up as he kissed your head lingeringly. He untangled his arm from your hold just so he could slip his jacket off of himself, placing it on your lap to cover your exposed legs. His head ducked down to whisper into your ear. Mingyu clenched his jaw, wondering what on Earth could be spewing out of his best friend's mouth. Whatever it was, it pleased you as you pecked his lips.
That seemed to snap Mingyu back into reality. Were you guys actually dating? Did he lose you forever? While he's been enjoying the view of you, it was quickly ripped away coming to realize that you might actually be Wonwoo's girl, not just the date for the evening.
I have to win her back.
The music died down as the party bus came to a stop. The doors slowly opened, showing that we arrived at our destination. People began to filter out. Wonwoo helped you ease up, taking his jacket from your lap to wrap it around your shoulders. His hands quickly made sure your dress covered your completely. His eyes glanced back at Mingyu. Wonwoo was seeing red. And Mingyu knew that.
Mingyu waited for everyone to leave the party bus before disembarking himself. Maybe he was waiting for his death sentence from Wonwoo, sensing that he was becoming public enemy #1 in the eyes of his former his best friend.
He couldn't help but wonder how you saw him. Did you believe you two could get back together? Did you also see him as the devil? Or did Mingyu have a chance at winning you back?
After getting enough courage, Mingyu began to make his way out of the party bus. He thanked the bus driver before slipping a tip to him. He jogged down the steps just to see Wonwoo with you. Your body was half hidden behind Wonwoo who was staring him down.
"I don't know what the fuck your deal is, Mingyu, but knock it off." "I'm not the one who got together with their best friend's girl." "And I'm not the one who cheated on her. It's not my fault you're just now coming to your senses after not trying to even apologize. Just stay away from us."
All Mingyu could do was nod. Or else he would have punched Wonwoo right in the face. And seeing that this was a fraternity event, he was not about to let his anger get the best of him.
Satisfied, Wonwoo turned back towards you. His hand rested on your lower back as he began leading you into the venue.
What took Mingyu by surprise was when you looked back at him. He couldn't quite read your expression. You were at least acknowledging him as you looked back over your shoulder at your ex lover, just as your new lover was escorting you away.
This was going to be an interesting evening.
Little Star - Lee Minho

Synopsis: Saying goodbye is never easy. A bit of the weight of sadness is lifted thanks to your boyfriend, Lee Know. While he might not always have the right words to say, just being present with you meant more than words could ever be said. You were his world, after all. He would go to every extent he physically could to bring you comfort.
Pairing: Lee Minho x reader Genre: Angst - mourning and grieving, comfort at the end
Warning: mentions of death (pet) Word Count: 1.6k
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Never before has Minho driven so fast. However, hearing the way that you spoke on the phone made it more urgent than ever that he was beside you. He didn't even say goodbye to the other boys.
"Wait what? Right now?" He spoke. He jumped up, eyes scanning around Chan's studio for his belongings.
Han could sense the urgency and helped Minho get his bag. All the boys were on standby, waiting to see what they could do for their friend at the moment. Chan already gave the nod to Lee Know that he could leave. Minho mouthed a 'thank you' as he remained on the phone with you.
"Y/n, sweetie, breathe. I'm coming, okay? I'll be there in 15 minutes. Wait no. I'll be there in 10."
You were in the private room towards the back. Your phone was on the countertop by the cotton balls, tongue depressors, and treats for patients. You were waiting for Minho to text you that he arrived, but you were trying to spend your final moments with your beloved pet.
The receptionist desk had turned on the electric candle at the front - a signal that silence was expected in the lobby. Seeing the light was on from the glass door, Minho tried his best to calm his breathing before walking in. He didn't want anything to stand in the way of getting to you, or upsetting you.
He swallowed the lump in his throat. The vet was one of his least favorite places. Being a pet owner himself, he knew how crucial the vet was. He just dreaded moments like this.
Approaching slowly, he looked at the receptionist who offered a friendly smile. "Hi," he said softly. "My girlfriend brought in her dog. Um, she texted me," he awkwardly said. Of course the receptionist could have an inkling why he was here, but it was just heartbreaking for Minho to say outlaid.
The receptionist nodded before standing up, gesturing towards the door towards the back hallway. "They've been waiting for you. Go ahead and knock," she said softly. Minho thanked her quietly, giving a small bow of his head before quickly walking in the direction of you. As he walked, the hallway seemed to stretch forever. He just needed to get to you.
Your dog was your whole world. While Minho wasn't necessarily the biggest fan of dogs, he had a soft spot for yours. Your dog greeted him openly, wanting to bounce and lick him with their tail wagging. Even though you had warned Minho your dog tended to be standoffish with encountering males. Minho seemed to be the exception, for you and your dog.
Minho also knew the importance any pet holds in someone's life. Soonie, Doongie, and Dori were the whole world to Minho. They were like his children, so he would go above and beyond for them. You felt the same way about your dog. This was a part of owning a pet that nobody ever wanted to get to.
You adopted your dog your freshman year of college. You were volunteering at the animal shelter when you began to take your dog on walks. You two had an instant bond that everyone at the shelter recognized. Before you entered the shelter, your dog would just lay around on its bed. it showed no interest in people who might want to adopt him. Until you.
When you appeared in front of the kennel, your dog showed signs of life for the first time in months. His tail wagged, and his ears picked up. It was a match made in heaven. Little did you know that you both would end up saving each other.
For the past 6 years, you and your dog had each other. 3 apartments, 2 major moves, 1 college graduation, a few guys coming in and out your life. Your dog quickly getting acquainted with Minho as he began to come around more solidified that Minho was the guy for you. I mean, you already knew that from the butterflies in your stomach and the way your cheeks heated up being around him. Your dog's approval of your new boyfriend was everything though.
That was 2 years ago. Last month, you noticed your dog was not showing interest in your evening walks. You figured it might have something to do with the change in weather. Sirens went off when your dog began to lose his appetite. Before, he was known to finish off the bowl in a matter of seconds. Almost like piranhas being fed. Your dog not even showing an interest in his kibble concerned you. You just never knew you'd end up here.
Once Minho reached the examination door you were in, he let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. From the other side of the door, he could hear your sniffling which shattered his heart.
He knocked gently, not wanting to startle you, especially given the circumstances. He was here to support you, and help mend your broken heart. Not cause more damage. He heard you sniffling quickly, almost as if you were trying to get yourself together. He would have cracked a joke about it, but this wasn't the time or place. "Come in," you called out, your voice soft.
Slowly, Minho pushed open the door to reveal himself. You seemed to also breathe a sigh of relief at the sight of your boyfriend.
"Hi, sweet girl," he whispered. He stepped into the room, quietly shutting the door behind him. Usually, you would have thrown your arms around Minho. Not today. You stuck beside your beloved dog, who was looking at Minho was the saddest eyes while keeping their head against the cold metal of the examination table. Your hand was running along the back of your dog.
Seeing it was just Minho, you began to feel the tears fall from your cheeks. You watched as he kneeled down to by eye level with your beloved company. "Hey buddy, I know," Minho cooed. The sight alone was enough to bring you to turns. You saw your dog try to wag his tail, maybe getting from side to side once before stopping.
Knowing your dog was ready to go, it broke your heart. But it also meant that you were making the right decision. Even though you wished your go could live forever, you didn't want to be selfish. Finding the cancer mass on his stomach, and finding out how much pain he was in and would continue to be if you tried different treatments just didn't sit right with you.
Minho kissed your dog's head lingeringly. You couldn't sworn you saw tears forming his eyes which made more tears swell up in eyes. Minho was not the type that liked to show emotions so easily.
Keeping his hand by your dog's left ear, scratching the one spot your dog loves, he stood up to be by you. His free hand moved to wrap around your frame, pulling you in close. He pressed a kiss into the side of your head, squeezing you gently. You rested your head on his shoulder.
You weren't ready to say goodbye to your little star.
For a moment, it was silent between the two of you. There weren't words that Lee Minho could say to make you feel better. Whatever you did need though, he would stick by your side and provide for you.
Knock knock
Both you and Minho seemed to stop breathing. Your hands stilling on your dog. The door pushed open, revealing the vet who wore a comforting smile. Your vet admitted she was saddened by the circumstances. Your little star seemed to have captured the hearts of everyone who interacted with him. "I'm glad you could join us, Mr. Lee," she spoke softly. "Are you two ready?"
Prior, the vet had allowed you time to say goodbye to your dog. You also asked if it was okay to wait for Minho to arrive. "Whatever you need. I'll be around in a little to check in," was what she told you.
You both nodded your heads as you looked down at your sweet boy. He fought as hard as he could. "You can either stay or you can leave. Whatever brings you the most comfort." You immediately pick your head up to look at the vet, shaking your head. Your comfort right now didn't matter. There was no way you were going to leave your baby boy alone.
The vet understood immediately before stepping to the side, allowing the vet technician in. She gently pushed the cart into the room, carrying the needles and medication they would use during the procedure.
"We'll get started." The room was silent, it was still. You and Minho kept caressing your dog's fur, trying to pour in as much love and comfort as you could. You could not even given to fathom what might be going through your dog, but you sped you were easing some of the pain.
To help ease your own, Minho's thumb caressed your lower back. He continued to press kisses into the side of your face and head. His kisses melted into your skin. It made you appreciative for such a partner like him. He would travel the galaxy for you, and you would do the same for him.
You couldn't dare watch the nurse inject a needle into your dog. You kept your eyes on your dog's face, seeing as he didn't wince at the needle. He didn't wince or try to squirm away. You looked at Minho who was also looking at you.
You two had each other. Through thick and thin.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Author's Note: I wrote this lil piece after realizing it's been one year since my parents had to put down my childhood dog. I truly believe Minho would be the best person to comfort you during such a hard time 🩷

"Hey, are you free tonight? I could use your help with something."
Kai's heart was pounding in his chest. Never in a million years did he except you to actually agree. In his mind, he felt foolish for asking but he also felt overjoyed and nervous. He was a wreck in the best sense.
Coming to college has been a lot of firsts for Huening Kai. It was really his first time being away from home, first time going to a college party, first time getting drunk, and so many others. Yet, there was still one thing that he was looking to cross off his bucket list.
After freshman year, he moved into a townhouse apartment with his closest friends - Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, and Taehyun. They were the ones that helped Kai navigate his new independent life. They were always willing to say yes when some new activity came into the young boy's mind. They kind of saw themselves as Kai's big brothers.
His four older friends really went to great extents to make sure Kai felt comfortable. And he always felt like he could be himself around the guys. Until one conversation came up. "So Taehyun, did you end up bringing that girl home from the club?"
All the boys were gathered around the living room, watching Kai and Boomgyu play video games. However, Beomgyu's interest took a turn once he heard Yeonjun's question. Beating Kai could wait because right now, he wanted to overhear the details of Taehyun's late night adventure. Kai whined in disappointment as the other three shushed him, eager for a response.
What was the big deal anyways?
Soon, the man that captured all their attention emerged from the kitchen. He held a water bottle in his hand, a proud smirk curling on his lips. "You know, a gentleman never kisses and tells." "And since were you a gentleman in bed?" Soobin scoffed. "We share a wall," he groaned. "Touche."
All the boys laughed at the little exchange between Soobin and Taehyun. It was always in good fun to rile each there up. Honestly, it was just proof of how deep their friendship runs amongst the five of them. It was a brotherhood.
"At least you've been able to get someone to come home with you. I feel like I always strike out at the clubs lately," Yeonjun muttered, arms crossed over my chest. "So is that why I constantly hear your Tinder going off?" Beomgyu laughed. "And what's your excuse, Gyu?" "I'd much rather take a girl out for a meal before eating her out," he said confidently.
The group groaned at his response. Soobin and Yeonjun made disgusted faces as they were getting too many details about their friend's sex life.
Kai felt like he wanted to sink deep into the beanbag chair until it swallowed him whole. Why was this the topic of conversation? Why did it matter how they were having sex?
Soobin seemed to notice Kai's discomfort. In the group, Soobin sometimes was the peacemaker. He was there to offer advice and be a place of support. Sure, most friends disclosed their personal woes in their lives and intimate details. But he could sense from the younger boy that he wished the topic switched already.
"What about you, Kai? Any new girls lately?"
Kai's eyes widened. He had his eyes locked on the paused video game, internally praying he didn't hear Taehyun correctly. All eyes were suddenly on Kai, who felt like he was going to be suffocated by the sudden spotlight. "Well, I know he likes y/n," Soobin tried helping.
Kai shot daggers towards Soobin at that response. He was already anticipating the responses that were going to come from the other three. He knew Soobin meant well, but god, there was no way he could fend off the three predators surrounding him.
"Oh right! You guys had a study date last week. Did you get to study her anatomy up close and personal?" Beomgyu teased.
SMACK
Yeonjun smacked him lightly in the back of the head at the corny response. Soobin and Taehyun stifled their laughter, knowing Taehyun was going to seek retaliation at some point. Yet, the quick disruption soon stopped and they looked at Kai. They weren't going to let him off the hook that easily. "Uh, well, you see." Come on, Kai. Think of something to save yourself. "Don't tell me you're still a virgin," Taehyun teased.
Crickets. It was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Kai slipped down into the beanbag so his entire back was resting against it before hiding his face in his hands. This was not the way he was wanting anyone to find out. Frankly, he ever wanted anyone to find out! Expecting the vultures to rip him apart, he was still met with silence. There was always a comeback. There was always words exchanged, and laughs followed. He didn't know what was worse - the sudden silence amongst the five of them or waiting for the comeback to strike.
Slowly, Kai uncovered his face to see his four friends staring at him. They were almost at a lost for words themselves. "God, we're all terrible influences," Soobin groaned. Laughter finally filled the room, including coming from Kai. He could always rely on Soobin to fix things.
The conversation turned to try to help Kai, wondering if he had any desire to have sex. Of course he did, but he felt clueless as to where to start. That night, the boys helped build up Kai's confidence. The four older friends were determined to help Kai's sex life.
They gave him pointers on how to approach the topic. Kai's biggest concern was coming on too strong, not wanting to offend anyone. That's just one of the many qualities they all adored about his friend - he was considerate. I guess that's why they were surprised he hasn't gotten laid yet. He just seemed to attract girls left and right.
But there was one girl who's had his attention. Nobody else has been able to push the barrier he put up as he only had eyes for you. No woman on campus compared to you, so why would Kai go out of his way to have sex with a random person when it might get back to you?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You and Kai met during one of those lame icebreakers they make you do during freshman year. It was at a get-to-know-your-RA event. A mandatory event. Kai was at least grateful this one time for it because he got to cross paths with you. The two of you lived in the same residence hall. Your suite was towards the end of the hall while his suite was towards the front. Another thing he was grateful for because it meant he had a greater chance of running into you.
Kai was captivated by your personality at first. You didn't seem like the type of girl that wanted to fit in. Not that you ever tried to go against the status quo. You just seemed more confident in yourself which allowed you to explore your own interests without trying to conform to societal acceptance. It truly left him in awe of how sure of yourself you were.
It was so easy to fall for you. Hell, you basically had a line of guys waiting for the chance.
The two of you didn't get close until English seminar sophomore year of college. You recognized him from your freshman door the previous year when he saw you as the woman of his dreams. After 12 months since the initial interaction, he finally got your number to work on a group assignment.
The friendship began to blossom the more you hung out. You two would try to study together, but often got sidetracked in the library and got nothing accomplished. Those were some of Kai's favorite moments where you two were try to keep quiet in the library, not wanting to disturb those actually trying to be productive as you broke out into giggles.
You infiltrated every thought of his, day and night. During the day, he wondered if you were okay, what you were up to. He tried so desperately to hangout with you whenever he could. At night, you were the one he thought about when he had his cock in his fist. He thought of the way that every shirt looked like it was painted on you, showing off your chest deliciously.
Yet, he saw you as a close friend. He never wanted to jeopardize the friendship. But after encouragement from his best friends, he had to take the risk.
He couldn't believe you actually said yes.
For the past hour, Kai has been frantically trying to get his room together. He shoved all his dirty clothes in the closet, made his bed, and lit a candle to make sure it smelled good. God, the things he would do for you.
Ding.
He glanced towards the foot of his bed to see his phone light up. His heart raced seeing your name flash on the home screen. "Kai, please come open the door! I'm cold!"
Shit. He quickly responded to your message so you knew he was on his way. He dropped his phone on the bed before rushing downstairs to get you. He ignored all the eager stares as the boys were gathered in the living room, watching TV but also wanting to give enough space for Kai upstairs. They just also wanted to catch a glimpse of the show before it got started behind closed doors.
He unlocked the top lock of the door and opened it for you. Your cheeks were a bit red from the dipping temperatures of early January. Yet, your hair was perfectly curled, You were wearing a pair of grey sweatpants, being seen from the black winter jacket you were bundled up in. How could someone look so adorable?
"Finally," you teased. You stepped into the house, hugging Kai and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
From behind him, you heard the four boys cheer on their friend. You giggled playfully at their antics even though Kai was groaning. As you got close to Kai, you were quickly introduced to his four best friends, so this was no surprise to you. "Hello stalkers," you called out, referring to how they were spying on you two.
They all muttered a greeting before trying to turn their attention to the TV. If only it had been on then maybe they could have gotten away with it.
Your attention turned back to Kai. As your hands warmed up, you were able to free yourself from the confines of your winter jacket. As it unzipped, it revealed the tight black ribbed long sleeve you had underneath. It shoved off your midriff a bit too. Adorable and so alluring.
"Come on, let's go," you whispered. Kai cleared his throat, realizing he hadn't properly spoken to you since your arrival. Yet, he didn't get a chance. You took hold of his hand, slipping your fingers in between before leading him up the staircase as if you were the one who actually lived here. Once again, the boys downstairs made sure to be very vocal about their approval.
As you approached the top of the staircase, he noticed your body still. Time for him to take charge. He tugged on your hand a bit before he took the lead. "I got it from here, y/n," he chuckled. "Ah, he speaks," you teased before squeezing his hand affectionately. Kai was grateful to be in front of you so you couldn't see his red cheeks.
Soon, you were in his room. He allowed you to enter first before closing the door behind him. His thumb pushed the lock button before he slowly followed you into the room, eyeing you. He both opened you felt comfortable in his room but he was eagerly taking you in.
You were a work of art in his eyes. Your hair was flowing down your back in loose waves. He adored the little freckles and moles that covered your cheeks. His imagination was starting to get the better of him as he began to wonder what you were hiding underneath your clothes.
However, you brought him back to reality as you grabbed his hand. "Kai, sweetie, wanna come join me in the moment?" You asked softly.
He didn't have to be told twice. Kai walked over towards the bed, going to sit towards the front of his bed. Seeing that he followed, you grinned. This was going to be an interesting night.
You slipped your hand out of Kai's so he could comfortably get on his bed. He ran his hands through his hair as he situated himself. He was undoubtedly nervous but also very excited. Dreams really do come true.
"So, what do-" he froze as his eyes finally looked up at you. His jaw fell slightly open to see you had already stripped down to your panties and underwear. He never thought he would get the infamous y/n in his bedroom. Let alone get you half naked.
Seeing your curves for the first time, he was taking in the sight. He was mesmerized but he way your bra was holding up your breasts yet it looked like you were about to spill out of it. His mouth watered seeing your panties hug your hips.
His hands reached out for you. You couldn't help but giggle and slip your hands into his. Kai always took great care of you, so this was no surprise. You allowed him to pull you onto his bed. With his back against his headboard, you straddled and settled into his lap. You let go of his hands so they could rest on his shoulders, stabilizing yourself. His hands resorted to your hips. "Kai, can you take off my bra?"
He nodded his head so fast, you thought it was going to pop off his head. You lead forward to press gentle kisses into the side of his face, working your way down his jawline. You followed it to his neck. All the while, his hands moved from your hips to your upper back. You shivered slightly at the feeling of his fingers, a bit cold yet light. It caused goosebumps to rise on your skin. You could also feel how hard he was becoming against your inner thigh.
Your lips moved down to his neck. Slow and open-mouthed. He groaned lightly at the feeling. His fingers fumbled for the clasp. You thought it was adorable as he seemed to lose focus the moment his breathing hitched when you kissed a particular spot on his neck.
Slowly, you leaned back. Winking at him, you helped guide his hands in the removal of your bra. You let the straps fall down as it was loosened, eventually falling into his lap.
"Like what you see?" You asked softly. His eyes were large as he looked at your breasts. He wasn't even trying to be discreet about it. He couldn't get over that after years of fantasizing about you, he was finally getting to experience what it is like to be intimate. Especially with you.
"Y/n, I fucking love what I see." "You know, I would feel a lot more comfortable if you took off some clothes too."
Of course. He would do anything you asked of him. He began to slip off the hoodie from his body while your fingers began to play with the string of his own sweatpants. Just enough to drive him desperate. But that wasn't hard to do, as Kai as been lusting for you for a while now.
His shirt joined your clothing on the floor. You first lifted your own hips so you could slip your panties off. Once you had loosened his own sweatpants, he pushed them down his thighs. You assisted in discarding his pants by shoving them down his legs so he could kick them off.
You were a bit surprised to see Kai had no boxers on. His cock immediately slapping against his abdomen. Honestly, you weren't sure what to be expecting out of Kai when it comes to his cock, but you weren't disappointed. If anything, it made you a bit eager to have him inside of you.
Kai seemed to be at a loss for words. His jaw hung open once again. You couldn't help but giggle as you scooted back up into his lap. He groaned at the feeling of your exposed pussy against him, feeling how warm and wet you were. Your fingers gently rested on his chin, pushing up. Your other hand ran down the length of his arm.
"Baby boy," you cooed. "Close your mouth. You might catch flies." "I can't help it. Fuck, you're so beautiful. Better than I could ever imagine." "So you think about me while you masturbate?" You asked, a bit of a playful tone in your voice.
His eyes shot to yours, away from your breasts that seemed to bounce with each breath you took. How the fuck did you know that?
You allowed your hand that was on his arm to slip down gently, making sure your feather was light. "So, lesson number one. You always want to make sure the girl you hook up with his wet enough."
"Y/n, you're cute. I've watched porn before. I don't need a step by step tutorial," he whined out.
You giggled and nodded. Kai decided to take the initiative. This was practically a one-in-a-lifetime experience. He didn't want to look back on his night and instantly regret it. With your hand guiding his, he instantly moved his hand to push your thighs a bit more apart.
His fingers at first ran up your inner thigh. This time, your breathing hitched which helped his confidence boost. He liked knowing you were enjoying yourself, even if the two of you were just getting started. Slowly, his fingers ran up until he go to touch your pussy.
At the first touch, he honest to God thought he was going to cum. You were so wet already. His fingers ran up and down your pussy gently, not wanting to be too rough. You shivered at the feeling. A soft whimper left your lips as you felt his calloused fingertips from playing guitar against your pussy. "Kai, can you please finger me?" You whimpered. "H-How many fingers?" He asked nervously.
You giggled at him. You found him too adorable but he didn't want you to see him as adorable. He wanted you to be as enchanted by him as you. Kai's biggest fear was you ending up regretting this night.
Deciding not to wait for your instructions, he slipped two fingers into you. Your jaw dropped at the feeling, tilting your head back. "Yes, Kai, baby." The sound of the petname made his cock twitch. It was innocent yet coming from your lips meant everything. He thrusted his fingers into you slowly at first until he realized he was yearning to hear you whimper. He decided to try something out he watched in a porn video once. His fingers curled inward which caused you to moan out. Perfect.
He gently kept curling and uncurling his fingers. This time, your jaw dropped and your eyes fluttered shut. Pleasure coursed through your body. He spread his two fingers, groaning himself now as he felt how tight you were. God, you were perfect to him.
In response, your hand on his face moved to grip the hair on the back of the hair. That night, Kai learned that he loved the feeling of his hair being touched. Or maybe it was just the feeling of your fingers in his hair.
"Faster, please," you begged softly. His heart trembled before abiding by your request. He began moving his fingers faster and a bit deeper. His knuckles are now in your pussy. Your pussy was practically sucking in his whole hand. But this wasn't how you wanted to cum. You didn't want to get too overstimulated and to enjoy the feeling of Kai fucking you.
Your hand moved to rest on his, squeezing to try to get him to stop his motions. Afraid he had hurt you, his eyes shot up to your face. "Y/n, are you ok? Did I hurt you? Did I go too fast? Fuck, I'm so sorry." He was a blabbering mess, which you found endearing. Your heart swelled as you nodded. That just made him panic even more as he didn't know what you were nodding yes to. "Kai, sweetie, I'm okay," you promised him. Your tone was light, breathless from the pleasure coursing through your body as your pussy walls indeed were squeezing Kai's fingers. He wanted to believe you but he was still hesitant. "I just need your dick inside me, please."
There was no doubting what you said that time. He slowly moved his fingers away from your pussy. He eyed down at your pussy, almost lost in the moment. He noticed the way his fingers glistened due to your wetness causing his dick to twitch with attention.
You couldn't help but take matters into your hands. You just needed him. One of your hands moved back to his shoulder, using it as leverage and also squeezing it reassuringly. Your other hand took a hold of his hand, which sent Kai into a moaning mess. Your touch was light, yet so warm and so heavenly. He could never jerk himself off after experiencing your touch.
You gently moved Kai's cock until his tip pressed against your pussy, both of you craving the closeness. His cock wanting to slip in, but he respected that you were in charge here. He didn't want to make any sudden moves that could risk ending this right before you two get started.
Before Kai could even speak, even check in to see if you were comfortable, you slid down onto his length. You both moaned out at the sensation. Kai has never experienced something so magical. Your pussy lips wrapped around his cock, enveloping him. You, on the other hand, never felt someone stretch you out so deliciously. "Fuck Kai," you breathed out.
Kai trembled at the feeling of your pussy walls around his cock. So warm. So wet. So tight. He's never experienced something so heavenly before. If this was the way he perished, with your pussy clinging onto his cock, he'd die a happy man.
Cautiously, you began to move your hips up and down his cock. You were testing the waters. Not wanting to overstimulate the poor guy, especially since this was his first time. Yet, you were getting needier by the passing moment as his cock was stationary inside of you.
His head rolled back, fingers digging into your hips. You were at his mercy. He was overwhelmed in the best way by feeling how you moved up and down his cock.
And to you, you were mesmerized by the sight in front of you. His chest was rising and falling. His curly brown hair was sticking to his forehead from being so worked up. He had to close his eyes for a moment, resting his eyelashes against his soft cheeks. You've never been with a man who seemed that captivated by you, both physically and emotionally. It made your heart swell.
You whimpered loudly as Kai reached the parts of you no man has ever before. You moaned out his name which seemed to make him harder, even if that was possible. He tried helping you move up and down his cock a bit faster, wanting to make sure you both were feeling good.
"H-How is it, baby?" He asked nervously, biting on his lower lip. You wanted to melt and cry from how adorable he was in such a heated moment.
Both of your hands cupped his face. Your thumbs caressed his flushed cheeks, gazing into his eyes. "So fucking perfect, Kai," you breathed out.
You normally weren't the type to take the lead like this. But something about Kai screamed that you should. You saw it as the opportunity to make him feel the best he's ever felt. Deep down, you've always recognized that Huening Kai viewed you in a special light. Getting to see him so vulnerable just sent your heart racing.
His eyes weekend as he felt his cock twitching furiously and that tight feeling in his abdomen. He didn't want this moment to dent. He wanted to die buried in your sweet pussy. "Y/n," he whimpered. "I-I'm sorry, I'm close. I can hold off if you need me to," he tried rationalizing. How cute.
Shaking your head, you whimpered as your walls got tighter around him. You were there with him. You were here in the moment with him. "N-No Kai, sweetie, it's ok. We'll cum together," you whimpered. He looking all over, almost as if he was trying to figure out what to do as you didn't stop your hips. Taking note, you giggled and leaned forward. "It's okay to cum in me, Kai. I have an IUD," you murmured, kissing the corner of his lips.
He groaned hearing you. His grip tightened as he began to thrust up into you, wanting to bring you as much pleasure as possible. With him so deep inside of you, you felt like you could see the stars. There was nothing better than this.
Soon, both of you felt that feeling in your abdomens snap. You cried out in pleasure as Kai moaned out, his forehead moving to rest on your shoulder. Your toes curled, body shook. He was trembling as he held you close. Hot spurts of his cum coating your insides.
The heavy breathing from the two of you filled the room. His cock started to soften inside of you but you two couldn't bring yourselves to move. Your hand moved up to play with the curls on the back of his head while his fingers ran up and down your body soothingly, almost as if he was trying to help the tremors out of your system.
"Thank you so much," he whispered against your skin.
You couldn't help but giggle. Your lips found his forehead, leaving a lingering kiss. "What are friends for."
Lover - Choi Jongho

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
"Sweetheart? Do you want honey in your tea?" Jongho called out from the kitchen. "Yes, please!"
You were currently situated in the living room, a throw blanket over your lap. Your mother had just sent you photos from your childhood that she found extras of. You asked her to send them to you because you wanted to give Jongho a glimpse of your childhood. You had them in a small pile for the two of you to look through.
You overheard the clinking of what you assume to be a spoon against the cups. Jongho was the type of guy that never overlooked any detail. He liked to be precise, especially when it comes to you. His greatest pride was his ability to look after you.
Glancing up at him, you watched him slowly move into the room. You couldn't help but giggle as he looked nervous that he might slip some of the tea into his head. To help him, you moved the photos to beside you so you could stand up to take one of the mugs from him.
He silently thanked you before setting his mug on the coffee table. Jongho always preferred to let the tea cool down slightly, so he wouldn't burn his tongue. "So how old are some of these pictures?" He asked curiously. "I think some of them are from when I was just 3 or 4, so I was pretty young, so you've been warned."
Jongho rolled his eyes playfully before leaning over to press a lingering kiss into your head. "Would you please stop talking bad about the love of my life, hmm? I quite love how she looks," he murmured into your skin.
His arm wrapped around your shoulder, letting his fingers run up and down your forearm comfortingly. You nodded your head, accepting Jongho's request. You just weren't the biggest fan of your more awkward stages of life.
However, if it was one thing about Jongho, he would always be there to affirm your worth. Your confidence has only grown since getting together. But maybe that was because he quite literally was everything you wished for when you were younger. Setting the photo album in your lap, you opened the first page. There was a photo of you, maybe less than an hour old. It was the photograph of you right after your birth. You were red in the face, probably from all the crying you did being so new to the world. Your hands were closed in tiny fists, eyes squeezed shuts. You cringed slightly seeing your newborn self. Jongho, on the other hand, was in awe to see the beginning of your life.
The next few pages were filled with photos before you entered school. They were photos of you dressed in Halloween costumes, like the one where your grandmother insisted you and your cousins should be pumpkins together when you were 3. Or your favorite when you were 2, the duck costume.
"Mom told me that I basically lived in that costume for the rest of the year," you laughed.
Jongho laughed along with you. He loved seeing the joy on your young face. In nearly every photo, you had a wide smile on your face. You were innocent, not exposed to the stresses of life. All that concerned you was being able to wear that fluffy duck Halloween costume,
As you go through the pages, you were introduced the the versions of yourself you seemed to have forgotten about. There were several photos of you playing different sports - soccer, taekwondo, swimming, and even a summer playing t-ball. Some of the photos were taken by your father at the sporting events, while others were photos taken by a professional photographer to mark the season.
"I always knew my girl was outgoing," Jongho commented. He leaned over to kiss your cheek lingeringly. You rolled your eyes at his comment, but it didn't hide the smile curling on your lips.
Flipping to the next page, you noticed your are entering the school photos. You groaned at the photos from kindergarten and 1st grade, especially. You felt like you were an awkward kid. Your mom cut your hair short when you were younger because you refused to let her help you brush it. You also began to wear glasses. Not to mention the braces that would come on later. A trifecta.
There were of course good memories from your childhood. But you wished to forget these more awkward moments. You were bullied quite a bit in your younger years which took a toll on your mental health well into your adult years.
"Have you ever considered cutting your hair short again?" Jongho asked.
You quickly looked at him, frowning. You pulled your now long hair over the front of your shoulder, looking down at you. That was part of the reason you were so hesitant about getting a haircut now and then. You were afraid of too many inches being taken off and not feeling confident. Your long hair was opposite from what it was when you felt like you were at your lowest. "Do you not like my hair now?" You whispered.
This time, Jongho looked at you. A frown was evident on his lips. He honestly could care less how long or how short your hair was. He thought you were adorable as a child. From just looking at the photos, he could see the bold color of your eyes. That was the first thing he fell for when it came to you.
"No, sweet girl, I love your hair now. But I also like the short hair on you when you were younger. It showed your gorgeous face off to the whole world," he explained. His voice was gentle. He was trying to put the pieces together for your reaction. The last thing Jongho ever wanted to do was upset you.
"Yeah right, Jongho," you sighed as you went to go flip to the next page.
However, he stopped you. His hand rested on top of yours, fingers gently caressing the back of your hand. "I mean it, pretty baby. You were adorable then, you're adorable now. It's amazing to see your journey through photos of how you've grown into the person you are today." His free hand ran over one of the photos.
"You're too good to me, honey," you sighed. Your head rested on his head on your shoulder. "It's the truth," he pouted. "Why don't you believe me?"
You peered up to see Jongho looking at you. You sat up the moment you could tell he was genuinely upset. You furrowed your eyebrows as you turned your body towards him, so you could have a proper conversation. Your left foot was tucked underneath your right which was dangling over the edge of the couch. Your gaze fixated on your hands as you fiddled with them a bit, your anxiety starting to increase.
"I guess I just never saw my worth as a kid, you know? I had people telling me that I wasn't good enough, that I wasn't beautiful. It was hard growing up in my small town where it seemed everyone fit in except me," you explained. "Don't get me wrong. I'm glad I never fit into the mold, but it was still hard."
Jongho gently reached over to hold your hands in his. He lifted them up, kissing your knuckles lingeringly before setting your joined hands in between your bodies. His thumbs gently caressed the back of your hands to try to ease any negative emotions stirring inside of you.
"My sweet girl, my love," he cooed. "Believe me when I say this. You were beautiful then, you are beautiful now. I'm honestly jealous of the people who got to grow up with you because they were lucky. But I guess I'm the lucky one that gets to experience your present and future."
Your heart swelled at his sentiment. You still kept your gaze locked on your interlocked hands. Noticing, Jongho squeezed them which caused you to finally meet his eyes. Your lover was smiling at you with endearment.
"Why don't we stop looking back at the past for a moment? Hmm? We can focus on our future, talk about everything you want to accomplishment and do in this life because I'm not going anywhere," he teased teasingly.
You nodded at his suggestion. Leaning forward, you pressed a lingering kiss into the side of his face. A soft "thank you" was whispered into his skin which caused his cheeks to heat up. Even after all this time, he still blushed like he did on the first date. If anything, the emotions he felt towards you were stronger than ever before.
That night, the two of you cuddled up on the couch. You talked about your goals for the next five, next ten years. While you were uncertain of the obstacles you might encounter, there was a reassuring aspect knowing Jongho was in it for the long haul.
He was devoted to you. He was in love with all parts of you - past, present, and future. And he would spend the rest of his days reminding you of that.
That's what he wanted, at least - to be your lover unconditionally.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
It was a typical Saturday night for your friend group. You were doing some barhopping in the neighborhood, meeting up after work to forget about all about the stresses. The only difference tonight was that you decided to invite your significant other.
You've introduced him to your friends who all seem to love him. You didn't see it as a big deal, but to Han, it was making his skin itch. Why were you so insistent on bringing him around? It was supposed to be friends hanging out, not friends and their partners.
At the moment, Han was watching the two of you. Your partner had their arm around your waist, his hand slipped into the back pocket of your denim jeans. You had your head on his shoulder as you two were both up at the bar, getting another round of drinks.
"Uh oh, Han's getting jealousy," Lee Know commented.
Han snapped his head over towards his best friend, eyes glaring. "I am not," he pouted.
"Han, we've been friends for like what? 10 years now? I think we all know when you're lying," Chan said, a hand resting on his shoulder. "I just don't get what y/n sees in him!"
It was no secret to his friend group that Han had feelings for you. Well, it wasn't a secret to everyone besides you. You seem to have always viewed Han as your best friend, your ride or die. The two of you have been inseparable since graduating high school together. Regardless if you lived close or far away, you two kept each other in the loop on everything.
When you got the opportunity to move to Korea for a job, Han was over the moon. He never considered long distance before, which is why he never asked you out before. But if you were going to be living in the same country at least, it was a sign that now would be a chance.
Little did Han know you were bringing along a boy with you. To say he was hurt that you never talked about this mystery guy before would be an understatement. He thought you guys were best friends. Why keep him such a secret? It was later revealed that you were actually moving to Korea to be with this guy who got a transfer to a position in Seoul. You found a job so you could continue seeing him.
Of course, Han was also happy to have you closer to him. He just wished it was under different circumstances.
Why couldn't you have chosen to move to Korea to be closer to the people that love you? To be with him? Not some random guy you met who knows where.
A sharp elbow to the side brought Han back to reactive. He opened his mouth to shout but Felix quickly nodded his head over towards you and your partner walking back to the group. He ran a hand through his hair before putting on his signature smile. Play it cool.
It broke his heart to see how you smiled at your boyfriend. That should be me. Your boyfriend set our drinks down as you slid your purse off from around your body.
"Baby, can you watch my stuff? I want to run to the bathroom." I could watch her belongings a lot better than him. "Of course I can. Hurry back," he chuckled.
You also laughed before leaning down, pressing yet another lingering kiss against his cheek. Oh god, I think I'm going to be sick.
Han and your boyfriend's eyes watched as you turned and walked away towards the back of the bar. Han, on the other hand, quickly looked away before your boyfriend noticed. While he wanted to prove that he was the better option for you, he didn't want to ruin the evening.
Once you were out of sight, your boyfriend turned towards the group. He wore a wide grin on his lips. It made Han apprehensive. Something was going on, and Han didn't like it. "Can I get your opinion on something? Y'all know y/n the best. I just wanna know if this is a good idea or not," he began.
Even though there was music pumping in the club, the world fell silent. All eyes were on your boyfriend as he sat up, reaching for something in his pocket. Changbin and Chris glanced at Han every now and then, trying to gauge his reaction. Yet. nobody could have prepared them for what was going to happen.
Your boyfriend pulled out a black velvet box. Slowly opening it, he revealed a gorgeous diamond ring with a silver band. Han's heart dropped to the pit of his stomach and shattered into a million pieces.
"Do you think y/n will like it? I can go exchange it for a different ring," your boyfriend explained.
Han's world was coming to a halt. He didn't know how to feel or what to even think. It was as if you were slipping through his fingers. He felt lightheaded as a cold shiver ran down his spine. "I think she's going to love it," Chris admitted.
Han wanted to snap his head over at his friend. Has Chris lost his mind? All the guys began to nod in agreement. They all seemed to be at a loss for words as well. Your boyfriend was nervously biting his lip, both because of the subtle announcement but also wanting to get approval from your closest friends. Especially Han.
"Han?" Your boyfriend called out. "Mate, is this good for her? I don't want to mess this up."
Forcing a smile, he nodded his head. "Oh yeah, I um think she's going to love it." And you will. It looked exactly like the wedding rings you used to cut out from magazines for your vision boards. It just pained him that it wasn't coming from him, it was going to be an engagement from something else.
Now satisfied, your boyfriend or I guess soon-to-be-fiancé slipped the engagement ring back into his jeans pocket. He didn't want to risk even you getting a hint of what was to come. "Thanks guys! I think I'm going to ask her next week. I'm still working out the details, but figured you should be the first to know."
This was it. This was how Han was going to die. He was going to fall victim to death by a broken heart.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been a week since your boyfriend dropped the bombshell. Every day, Han waited in anxiety for when you'd FaceTime him to share the good news. Or at least, it was good news for you.
He was currently laying in his bedroom. The boys have been trying desperately to get Han to leave his bedroom. Yet, he refused. He didn't want to be active in a. world where the chance of you two getting together was non-existent. He wasted so much time trying to wait for the perfect moment to confess his feelings to you that he ran out of time. He was beating himself up about it.
His gaze was fixated on the ceiling as he held a pillow close to his chest. The reality of the circumstances was setting into his soul. He felt like he was being suffocated. His mind kept replaying all the potential moments where he could have spoken up.
He lifted the pillow up to his face. He let out a loud scream into the material before tossing the pillow towards the foot of his bed.
Ding dong
Normally, Han didn't pay much to the doorbell downstairs. There was always a constant flow of people coming in and out of the house, especially since 8 boys called it home. It normally was just food delivery or a mutual friend stopping up to say hi. The main person who always came to visit him was you. But he anticipated those vitiations coming to a halt soon.
He heard footsteps going down the staircase. The familiar screech of the old hinges sounded, even heard from Han's bedroom.
"Oh hey y/n," Minho said. Almost louder than usual so Han overheard. And he surely heard because he basically shot out of bed at the announcement of your arrival.
"Minho, is he here?" You asked.
Before Minho could answer, Han was halfway through his bedroom door. He tried his best to be calm and collected, but he couldn't. He always was excited about your visits, and he never liked to keep you waiting. Even though he was sure this might be one of the lasts, he didn't want to let him sulking stand in the way of spending one-on-one time with him.
"Speak of the devil," Minho teased as he heard movement from behind him. He stepped out of the way so Han could get to you. He was about to make his way back up the staircase, but didn't miss the opportunity to squeeze Han's shoulder comfortingly. Minho would be there the moment Han needed him, whether this was a good interaction or not. For now, he needed to notify the boys that Han had actually emerged from his room.
Being alone, Han swallowed the lump in his throat before turning towards you. He took a moment to take you in. You wear wearing baggy ripped jeans. You had on a purple sweater with the sleeves that nearly covered your entire hand. God, he was going to miss seeing you.
"Did you know?"
His eyes widened slightly by the tone of your voice. It didn't carry its usual cheerful tone. You were staring at him without a smile on his face. Between you and Felix, there was always competition who carried the title of sunshine. To Han, you won every time. Yet, this time, he didn't see happiness. He almost saw worry, concern, a bit of frustration.
He stepped aside to let you in. You walked into the house, making a direct path towards the kitchen. Han closed the door, seeing movement also from the top of the staircase. All the boys were gathered, watching in anticipation of what was going to happen. Han tried gesturing for them to get away, but he couldn't focus on his best friends eavesdropping. He needed to stay on your trail.
When he arrived in the kitchen, he saw you pacing back and forth. Hell, you looked more in distress than he has been the past couple of days. "He bought a ring, Jisung," you whispered. Your hands rested on the kitchen island, staring across at him. You bit your lip. Seeing you so loss for words was unlike you. Honestly, Han was worried.
"Oh yeah," Han murmured. One hand slid into the pocket of his sweatpants, the other rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "He showed the guys and I last week," he confessed. "So you did know?" "Yeah," he said lowly. "I'm taking it he asked you."
You were quick to shake your head. "Um no, not quite," you explained. "I found it in our dresser drawer. I was trying to find a pair of socks when I found it tucked away in the corner. That was when I found a letter from one of his ex girlfriends folded up."
Han stood up at attention, confused by your revealing news. What? Why would he keep a letter from his ex girlfriend when he seemed so into you? Han found it a bit odd, and from your body language and your re-telling, it seemed like you did.
"I know I shouldn't have read it, but I did. Han, he seems to still really love her. The letter is new too. It was dated two weeks ago, almost as if she confessed before the new year," you groaned. "I feel like he's waiting to see if I say yes or no before deciding if he wants to go back to her," you said sadly.
Han frowned. He never liked when you viewed yourself poorly. Let alone when someone makes you believe you are less than your worth. To him, you are the whole universe. His anger was also slightly boiling for you, not at you. It wasn't your fault your boyfriend wasn't more careful. He also felt irritated because your boyfriend acted like he worshipped the ground you walked on. How could even consider someone better than you?
"What do you wanna do?" "That's the thing I don't know," you confessed. Han furrowed an eyebrow. He believed there was an obvious choice here. Leave.
"What if this is my only chance at love, you know? I know he does care about me." Are we sure about that? "And I always envisioned I'd be married by now. Hell, we know so many people who are engaged, married, and have kids. What if this is supposed to be my person?"
Slowly, Han began approaching you. This was his moment, the one he's been waiting for. It wasn't under the most romantic circumstances like he desired, but it was now or never.
"Han, I'm tired of the short-lived romances. I'm tired of giving my all to someone where the spark between us fizzles out because I choose my mind over my heart." "Why do you have to choose one or the other. Y/n, sweet girl, you should be with someone who satisfies your mentally, emotionally, and even physically." "But what if that person doesn't exist?" You whined.
Enough was enough. Han presented himself to you. Very gently, he cupped your cheeks with his large hands. His thumbs caressed your cheekbones affectionately as he gazed down at you. "I'd like to think I could do a pretty good job," he chuckled lightly. He tried his best to control his body trembling from his nerves. But if he didn't confess now, he never would.
If he had the chance to try to win you over, he had to take it. "What are you saying?" You whispered. "You're my best friend. Of course, you satisfy me in all those ways, but we're friends, aren't we?"
He smiled reassuringly down at you. God, you were so precious. "Of course we are, best friends. The very best of friends," he reaffirmed. "But, it seems like I have fallen in love with my best friend."
The truth was out. No turning back.
Your eyes widened. Did you hear him correctly? "Han," you started by he immediately shushed you. "No, y/n. I'm tired of not admitting it. I've been in love with you for quite a while. I mean, they always talk about some of the greatest love stories that come to be from best friends dating, realizing they care for one another on a deeper level. You're my person, honey." "You're my person too," you confessed. "But you can't just say this to me and not mean it," you frowned.
Han moved his face in toward yours. His forehead rested against yours as he gazed down at you. His lips ghosting over yours. You tilted your head into his warm touch, looking up at him with curiosity and endearment. God, how could he wait this long? "I was the damn fool that waited until it was too late," he whispered. His hot breath hit your lips, causing shivers to run down your spine. He couldn't help but chuckle lightly at your response. One hand slid off of your face to hold your hips, keeping you close to him. "By no means am I proposing one of those friendship marriage pacts. I want us to experience the highs and lows together as we navigate life. I want things to stay the same, but I also want to be able to kiss you when I want, and take you out on dates. I want the title of being yours exclusively."
Feeling just as bold, you tilted your head slightly up towards his. Your lips grazed against his which caused him to shutter this time. You couldn't help but giggle seeing the reaction you pulled out of him. "What are you waiting for then?"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You and Han ran out of the courthouse, hand in hand. Your giggles filled the professional building, but the two of you didn't care. He had rented a tuxedo last minute whereas you were able to find a white outfit at a thrift store around the corner.
It was a no-brainer to marry your best friend. You didn't need the diamond ring, nor the big ceremony with the larger-than-life reception. All you needed was Han Jisung, and he needed you.
As you exited the courthouse, you stepped out as united duo. Mr. & Mrs. Jisung.
"Wait a minute," Han announced. You stood near the top of the stairs leading to the county building. You turned towards him as he looked at you with a serious expression. "What are we doing? This is silly."
Your jaw dropped at his response. He couldn't be serious. There is no way you two would have rushed around town to get everything together last minute for him to now second-guess himself. Not when the marriage license was already signed, the ink drying.
As you were about to question him, he tugged on your hand and pulled you in gently. You gasped in surprise, crashing softly into his chest. His arm wrapped around you, stabilizing you. His other hand found itself on your cheek. A habit of his now.
"We don't need to rush. we have all the time in the world," he breathed out. "Mrs. Han Jisung, you are all mine now. Can't get rid of me."
You rolled his eyes at his antics but couldn't help but giggle. He was right. You two had the best years to come, as husband and wife.

Everyone was filling into the venue space Namjoon rented out. There were tables set up towards the front of art gallery with simple finger foods, a subtle way to encourage people to eat before they begin to wonder the exhibit. The last thing Namjoon needed to worry about was someone touching a piece and smearing the art work with cheese or something.
Champagne had been popped as a way to mark the official opening of the art gallery. There was light chatter, the occasional person coming up to congratulate him on his success. He offered a polite smile to strangers, thanking them for coming. Yet, with each interaction, with each movement, his eyes glanced towards the front of the venue space.
Would you come? He sent an invitation a few weeks back but was met with only radio silence. There was still a chance.
Namjoon and you had started dating right as the pandemic began to ease up. As a way to mark your reemergence into society, you both ended up going to an art museum. He still remembers the way you analyzed each piece, she people getting frustrated with you for taking up so much room. But they didn't get it. Their approach to museums was just to look at the piece and move on.
Not you. Maybe it helped that you studied art in college, but you liked learning about the piece as well as the artist behind it. You would read each descriptor, finding out about the biography of the artist, why they made a particular piece, and what they were trying to portray. You appreciated the hard work and sheer dedication it took to craft any type of art.
What Namjoon appreciated was how considerate you were. You weren't the type to offer harsh critiques, to think you were better. Your eyes took in each piece, almost as if you were following each stroke. You were trying to take in everything you could to make yourself a better artist. He never thought he would meet someone who was so into art as himself, to view things just as he did.
You two made a routine. Fridays, you would go out to a different museum. You alternated who chose the museum. Afterwards, you would go to a restaurant in the city to discuss the pieces you liked over a glass of wine. You then offered insight into various other topics - philosophy, politics, latest trends you saw on your TikTok. He believed he found his better half.
He was captivated not just by your technique, but by you. You had this magic ability to gather everyone's attention without saying a word. All eyes immediately went on you. He wasn't sure if it was because of your radiating smile, always coming across as approachable and kindhearted. Or if it was for your outer beauty. You were just breathtaking. it definitely had to be a combination of both.
Soon, you guys began to travel the world to different art galleries. There were times you felt guilty as Namjoon insisted on paying for everything. All he ever needed was your company.
While you enjoyed the opportunity to travel the world together, to explore and experience new things, that's all you guys did. It would be going to a new country just for an art museum. Sometimes it felt like you two left just as quickly as you arrived. You tried convincing him to take a break from art to explore parts of the cities you were in.
In response, he just brushed you off. He stated that he was here on business. Namjoon genuinely thought you would enjoy being surrounded by art. And there were times you did. Other times, you wanted a break. You wanted to just experience the world around you without viewing artwork and feeling like you were being compared to other artists by your own significant other. it was suffocating.
That was when the cracks in the foundation began to show themselves. Namjoon thought you were changing from the person you said you were, and how you presented yourself to be. You argued that he focused too much on the serious side of life rather than living in the moment.
"Well, maybe if you were a serious artist, you would be inspired rather than be lazy about your craft."
The words he spoke to you still struck a nerve. The constant travel, and lack of support you felt from the person that mattered the most caused you to lose inspiration. You tried out different mediums ranging from ceramics to digital art. Every time you attempted to sit down and create something, you were just more frustrated.
You walked out after that argument. You didn't turn back as you realized you needed to get out of the toxic environment to better yourself. You were an artist after all. There was a strong desire for you to get back to what was important to you, but you needed to unfortunately separate yourself from Namjoon to do so.
Namjoon realized too late that the had lost you. You didn't go chasing after you, figuring you might finally throw yourself in your studio to create. He thought you needed space to feel your emotions. He honestly missed seeing your artwork.
Deep down, he knew he could be a bit stubborn, but he didn't realize how serious the argument was until the next day. Numerous texts and calls were dialed to your number. You ignored every single one of them. He then decided to visit your studio where your art supplies had already been cleared out. What really broke him was seeing that your apartment had already been emptied.
Luckily, he still had one method to reach out to you. Your email. He emailed the invitation to his art gallery to that address. Truly, he had no idea if you would even respond, but he was hopeful.
The minutes passing by felt like hours. His heart was trembling within his soul as he eagerly watched out for you every now and then. Namjoon tried his damn hardest to invest himself in the conversations around him, but he just couldn't. Not when wondering where you were was infiltrating his mind.
The art gallery opened at 7pm. It was now 9:14pm. The gallery was going to be open for another 46 minutes before the after-party started at his condo. There was still time.
The crowd was starting to dwindle as people were making their way through the entire exhibit. Or maybe they were just done with their conversations with other high-list individuals. He could care less.
As the crowd began to grow smaller, he noticed a body staring by the front. He raised an eyebrow. He never noticed that person there before. That was until he recognized it was you.
His eyes widened as he watched you for a moment. You wear wearing a black sleek dress that had a slit up to your mid thigh. Strands of hair framed your face as you had it pulled back. Your makeup was light besides the mascara that coated your eyelashes and the red lipstick on your lips. He noticed you still wore gold jewelry. A glass of champagne was in your hand, still full as your eyes traveled around the venue. You've never looked anymore beautiful.
Eventually, your eyes landed on him. It was as if time stopped. You offered a gentle smile. He was frozen in place as you began to make your way through the crowd.
You actually showed up. "Hi Joonie." He never thought he would hear your voice again. Let alone hear you call him by that name. "Hi y/n," he whispered. He wanted desperately to throw his arms around you, pull you in and never let you go. However, this was his first official art gallery after collecting for so many years. He had to maintain a level of professionalism if he hoped to make it in the industry. "You look elegant as always," he complimented.
You couldn't fight off the smile that came onto your lips. You leaned up to kiss his cheek in a friendly manner. It was enough to nearly make his knees weak. You still had him tightly wound around your little finger. "Care to let me show you around?" He asked upfront. He wasn't even sure why he asked that. He was going rogue.
His nerves settled once you nodded. He offered his arm out to you for which you slipped yours in between. You took a sip of your champagne before nodding, allowing him to lead you through the exhibit he curated.
Honestly, you were beyond proud of him. This has been a dream of his since the day you met. He confessed his wish to open up exhibits throughout the world, especially in underprivileged communities. You both knew that the arts could save lives, and he was determined to see that happen.
You recognized some of the pieces from your journeys together. You were trying to still piece together the pieces of what the underlying theme was. You were surprised Namjoon didn't include descriptions of the pieces.
Was that intentional? Maybe he wanted people to come up and ask questions? He always loved talking about art. You were always impressed with how much knowledge he stored in his mind.
You also remembered how Namjoon could be a bit clumsy. He managed to maneuver the two of you through the crowd pretty successfully. Aside from the occasion tug you had to give him before he bumped into someone. He would blush lightly, saying a quick apology to the person he would walk past.
Part of his distraction was because of you. He kept glancing down at you more times than looking at the path in front of him. Namjoon just couldn't believe you actually showed up.
You wanted to ask questions. You wanted to know about him, how he was doing, what he has been up to. But you figured it would all be answered with time.
Namjoon finally stopped as he reached the back wall of the art exhibit. It was impressive how much he's curated over the years. However, you were not prepared for the final pieces of the gallery.
You had this habit on dates to draw on napkins, often when you were waiting for the waiter to come back with your receipt. You always had pen stashed in your purse for such moments. Your drawings consisted of what was around you - the people at neighboring tables, skylines, dogs, the glasses you and Namjoon finished, sometimes even of himself.
Your eyes widened as you stared at the wall. Hundreds of these little napkins were framed and on the wall. He came to love your little drawings. You never drew them to give them to someone, so he began collecting them. He knew that the staff at the restaurants would just throw them away, and it crushed him to see good art be treated like garbage. They were the parts of you, after all. Every napkin was like a piece of treasure.
The two of you stood there for a moment. You could remember where the two of you were from each napkin. New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Seoul, Milan - just to name a few. You remembered the coffee shops the two of you could go to on a rainy Sunday. You remembered every moment with Namjoon. "I can't believe you did all of this," you whispered. "Angel, this whole gallery is for you. It's our own little lane of memories."
You two just stared at each other. Your eyes were glossy, and admittedly so was his. His life felt meaningless without your presence in it. Every day felt torturous knowing he was at fault for letting you go, for not fighting harder. Now that you were here in front of him, he wasn't going to let you getaway that easily again.
"Namjoon?"
Who the hell was calling his name.
"Namjoon? Hello?"
He watched as you took a step back. You weren't smiling anymore, the tears now falling from his eyes. The world around him started to fade away besides the one voice repeatedly calling his name. What was going on? He tried running to you but he felt his feet were stuck. Everything faded to black.
"Namjoon!" "Can someone please get him some water?"
He blinked his eyes when the world seemed brighter again. There was still chatter of people, but he was now being circled by the people that were closest in his life. Well, everyone besides you.
His eyes flickered towards the front of the gallery. He saw a woman standing in a black dress. Her hair was pulled back, a glass of champagne in her hand. Y/n.
He was about to push past the people that gathered him but froze when he made eye contact. Those weren't your eyes. And you weren't wearing gold. It was someone else. His heart dropped to the pit of his stomach as he took a step back from where he was before. "Seriously, Joon? Are you ok?"
Namjoon let out a shaky breath before nodding. He did his best to put on a bright smile, but the tears in his eyes were a dead giveaway. All his friends were concerned for him. They knew just how important tonight was for him, but not as important as trying to see you again.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm sorry. I got lost in my head. Just think about everything that led up to this moment," he chuckled lightly.
All his friends nodded in understanding. Jin rested his hand on his younger friend, squeezing comfortingly. "You've worked so hard. You should be proud of yourself." Everyone agreed as they joined in cheers of their champagne glasses.
If only Namjoon could be proud of himself, of the man he had become. But he couldn't be when he lost the best piece of artwork that entered his life - you.

You were curled up on your couch, two blankets covering your body. You woke up this morning congested as ever. You tried running yourself a warm shower when you had to get up for work, but to no avail, you felt worse. You were forced to resign to the fact you were going to have to call in sick for work.
It also meant that you had to cancel your plans with your boyfriend, Choi Seungcheol. The two of you were supposed to go out this evening on a date. He had bought tickets to a musical you've been wanting to see. With your weakened state and the cold temperatures outside, you knew you were just asking to remain being sick. And you were determined that you were going back to work tomorrow.
"Are you sure you don't want me to bring over anything?" "Yeah, Cheol, I'm positive but thank you ☹️ the last thing I want is to get you sick." "Alright, my love. I love you."
The perk of living alone was the fact you didn't have to be confined to your room. You didn't have to worry about anyone else catching whatever virus you got. On the other hand, you didn't have much motivation to move anywhere else. The moment you got yourself situated on your couch, you knew the chances of you getting up were very slim.
Used tissues were scattered all over your living room floor, especially by the couch. You had a cup of half-empty tea on a coaster on your coffee table. The thermometer on stand by for when you were ready to check it again. You felt absolutely awful. Your bones ached and your body felt cold, hence why you trying to get warm with the two blankets. You also had a heating pad underneath you to warm up your back, trying to spread warmth throughout your entire body. Nothing seemed to help.
Some sitcom was playing in the background which you were half paying attention to. Your mind was bouncing between you phone and the TV, not really having much energy to do anything else.
This was not how you envisioned your weekend. You were very much looking forward to spending time with your boyfriend. You two have been trying to find time to meet up, but something always came up. Whether it was Seungcheol being needed at the company as he was trying to get back into the regularity of his idol lifestyle, or it might have been a meeting for work on your end. This was the first weekend in a considerable amount of days that you were both free.
Or at least you were free until you got sick. And the last thing Seungcheol could afford right now was a delay in him getting back to what he loves most. Though arguably, he would say he loved you more than performing. You knew deep down that Seungcheol had been waiting for the all-clear to resume activity.
Life is so unfair.
You sunk a bit deeper into the couch. You couldn't help but sulk. There was nothing more that you wanted than to be wrapped up in the arms of your lover. Or maybe have a bowl of warm soup.
Suddenly, you heard the sound of what you believed was your front door unlocking. Or someone trying to get in from the other side of the door.
Your heart rate picked up as you quickly looked over towards the door. In your weakened state, you were trying to get up as quickly as possible. You weren't expecting anyone nor did you order anything that would be delivered.
The last thing you need right now is someone breaking into your apartment. How could you even defend yourself? Throw your used tissue balls at them?
"Woah, woah, honey, sit down."
You instantly froze from trying to flee from the living room. You recognized that voice anywhere. You slowly eased down onto the couch as you looked over.
Slowly, you looked back over to confirm your suspicion. Choi Seungcheol. He stood with a plastic bag in one hand, the other holding the golden key to your apartment unit. You pouted as you looked at him. Yet, he looked at you like you were the most precious thing in the world.
Your heart was slowing down as you eased yourself to sit up. Cheol couldn't help but laugh a little at the scare he gave you. You whined in response, crossing your arms over your chest.
"You don't think a text would have been a good idea?" "And ruin the surprise?" He asked, a playful smirk on his lips.
Watching from the couch, Cheol first locked the door but this time locked both locks - the top and bottom. He set the bag of mystery items down on the front table before slipping off his shoes. You always loved Seungcheol's visits, but not today.
He began to make his way into your apartment but froze as he saw you move slightly. Instantly, he frowned at the sight which nearly broke your heart. Your boyfriend was always filled with gold intentions, but you couldn't risk getting him sick.
"Baby, I told you I didn't need anything. Why are you here?" You frowned. "And be labeled as worst boyfriend of the year for leaving my sick partner at home alone? Yeah, no thanks. Besides, I see the makeshift bed you made," he commented, gesturing towards the couch. "Can't get warm?"
You sighed in defeat. There was no use in arguing with Cheol because he was right. You were struggling to keep warm despite being under a mountain of warm blankets and a heating bad. The thought of being wrapped up in the arms of your boyfriend sounded more appealing, and could probably help you feel better. It would definitely cause an end to your sulking.
"But what about you? I don't want to get you sick."
The smile was back on Cheol's lips. He grabbed the bag before he made his way over to you. At least if you needed something, it was now in front of you on the coffee table rather than across the room.
"If I get sick, I get sick. I'd rather be sick knowing I made an attempt at helping you feel better than not trying at all."
Ever so gently, he leaned over to press a kiss to your forehead lingeringly. You closed your eyes at the feeling, a light smile curling onto your lips. You didn't even notice you were naturally leaning into his body. Almost as if you were magnetized to attract towards his body heat.
"See, you need me. Now, come here, pretty girl." Slowly, as to not cause anymore discomfort, Cheol wrapped his arms around you. Your back resting against his chest, his arms around your torso. You sighed in relief as you relaxed into his embrace. He grabbed one of the blankets, moving it onto your lap before pulling you in closer.
"Isn't this much better?" "Don't you dare tell me 'I told you so,' Choi Seungcheol."
Cheol didn't need to say anything. He only chuckled before pressing a lingering kiss into your cheek. It only caused you to melt further into him.
"Of course not, my stubborn girl. But now that I am here, we can stay here for however long you need. I did bring over cold medicine, in case you were running low. I also brought gatorade and snacks. But we can also order something if you want. Whatever you need, you got it already."
Okay, maybe it's not so bad having your partner around when you are sick.

Black And White - Kim Hongjoong

Synopsis: Weddings are always happy occasions. You've always loved watching two people showcase their love in such a momentous way. It made you wonder if one day, you too will get married.
Pairing: Kim Hongjoong x fem. reader
Genre: Flufffffff, established relationship, long-term dating, talks of the future
Word Count: 2k
Hongjoong sat in the black cushioned folding chair. It was a gorgeous venue. It was an old warehouse that was rented out for the intimate wedding. He was amazed at how the decorators were able to transform the space so rather than feeling cold and empty, it was filled with so much warmth and love to mark the special occasion.
When you told Hongjoong about the wedding, he got excited. Not just to be able to go. To be honest, he wasn't sure if you wanted him to go anyway. Your childhood best friend was getting married, after all.
That is why he was a bit apprehensive about attending the wedding. To an extent, you two were still getting to know each other. He never thought wanted you to feel pressured you had to take the relationship in a certain direction. He was just content with being exclusively yours.
Over the past few months, you have been more introduced to his world. You knew all his friends very well, often hanging out together. Hongjoong has met some of your coworkers when he has picked you up after work or attended the company's holiday party. He just hasn't met the people that meant the most to you, which is what terrified him.
To Hongjoong, winning over the people closest to you made him the most nervous. He could easily go on stage and perform his heart out. Hell, you could say the president of South Korea was in attendance and he'd own the stage. It was his comfort zone. He wasn't even nervous to meet your parents. It was your best friend who terrified him.
And not because she was intimidating. From everything you've said about her, she basically walked on water. The two of you have been friends since you were 11 years old. You've known your best friend longer than he's known his members!
Despite the distance since you moved to Korea, you chatted nearly every day. He was convinced you spoke to her more than him on some days. He wasn't jealous of that fact either. If anything, he was more appreciative and thankful you had such a loyal person in your life. Your best friend championed you unlike any other, and you did the same for her.
However, that is where the immense pressure to win over your best friend stems from. What if she didn't approve of him? What if your best friend believed you deserved better? Would you listen to her and leave?
One thing was for certain is that Hongjoong could not afford to lose you. For the first time in his life, he was experiencing the love he's watched on the big screen. He never thought he would be one of the lucky ones to find such a perfect partner. You constantly went above and beyond for him, and he was trying his best to love you twice as much. He believed you deserved the whole world, and he wanted to be the one to give it to you.
His inner monologue was disrupted as soft instrumental music began to play. People around him rose to their feet, and he followed suit.
You were concerned about Hongjoong being in the audience for the ceremony. He was your plus one, whereas your best friend asked you to be in the bridal party. But Hongjoong couldn't complain. He got the best view in the whole venue.
As if on cue, he noticed the back doors open. He turned to his side as he saw the bridesmaids and the respective groomsmen make their way down the aisle. Hongjoong was trying his best to remember the names of those you pointed out before. There were a few other friends of the bride you, and a few of the groomsmen you knew.
He smiled politely as the pairs began their walk down the aisle. However, he kept glancing over his shoulder once they passed. He just had to see you.
His heart stopped as he could see you behind another pair. You were making light conversation with the man who was walking with you down the aisle. He was the groom's best friend. You were the two people who have heard about this beautiful marriage leading up to this momentous day.
Hongjoong just couldn't take his eyes off you. Your best friend decided everyone would wear the same color - a light blue that some could describe as Tiffany blue. Yet, each bridesmaid dress was unique to the woman wearing it. It was unconventional but that's what Hongjoong loved. He loved seeing all the different dresses each person chose.
Undoubtedly, his favorite was yours. It was an A-Line floor-length dress. There was a slit running up the left side of the dress, stopping at your mid thigh. You were always the type of person who loved the freedom to move around. The sleeves were ruffled, possibly made out of chiffon. It tied in the back, a pretty bow resting against on your upper back. You looked heavenly.
You wore a wide smile as you looked at the groom. You often gushed about their relationship, especially since you were certain from the moment you met the man at the altar that he would end up marrying your best friend.
However, Hongjoong noticed your eyes would leave the altar every now and then. He couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong if you were okay. You didn't seem tense. This was the disadvantage of not being a part of the ceremony. He couldn't attend to your needs right away.
But when your eyes met his eyes, you visibly became more relaxed. You smiled at him lovingly. And he looked at you like you were made out of the most precious gems. "Wow," he mouthed to you. You couldn't help but blush before turning away. While you wanted nothing more than to rush over to kiss your lover, you couldn't This was your best friend's big day.
"So when is the wedding?" A voice came from Hongjoong's left side.
Curiously, Hongjoong looked to his side away from you. There was an elderly man with a smirk on his face. He looked at Hongjoong, waiting for a response. However, Hongjoong was terribly confused.
"Sir, we're at the wedding now. It's beginning," he whispered, not wanting to speak too loudly to cause a distraction.
The old man chuckled and shook his head. "No, not this one. I'm not that old. I'm speaking of the one between you and your girl. I'm guessing a summer wedding?"
Hongjoong's eyes widened. His heart was doing flips in his chest, nearly jumping out. His body filled with warmth, not sure if it was the nervousness of having to say no or the idea of marrying you that made him feel so tingly.
"We haven't selected a date yet," Hongjoong whispered.
The old man seemed satisfied at the response before turning back towards the aisle. Everyone around him was gasping softly as the bride made her way down the aisle. Yet, Hongjoong couldn't look anywhere but up at you.
At first, your eyes were on your best friend walking down the aisle. Seeing her so content, so happy did your heart well. Your best friend has been waiting for this moment since you guys discovered Pinterest and made boards when you were in junior high. You couldn't help but have your eyes wonder towards the crowd.
To your surprise, Hongjoong was staring at you with the widest grin on his lips. Your chest filled with warmth and cheeks heated up.
Maybe one day the two of you will be at this milestone. You sure hoped so.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Throughout the ceremony, Hongjoong's eyes didn't leave you once. He couldn't help but picture you one day wearing a white dress. Hell, maybe even a different color. All he wanted was you.
The two of you were over by the bar. Everyone had filed in as they made their way from the ceremony venue to the reception hall. The bride and groom were making their rounds to interact with everyone who came to celebrate their special day. For the time being though, you and Hongjoong were soaking up every opportunity to just focus on one another.
"You clean up nicely, baby," you teased him.
He rolled his eyes playfully but had a wide smile on his lips. The two of you were sipping the signature cocktails of the bride and groom. For you, you opted for your best friend's favorite, a bay breeze. Hongjoong was sipping a whiskey sour, the favorite of the groom.
"Have to dress my best when I've got the best date," he chuckled. His lips pressed against the corner of your mouth. He then pressed tiny kisses along your cheek heading to the earlobe. You shivered at the feeling but your body felt warm and tingly, and it wasn't due to the alcohol. Hongjoong always had this way of making you feel on fire in the best way possible through his displays of affection.
One hand rested on his arm while the other held your drink. He wrapped his arm around your body, pulling you in closer. His thumb gently caressed your lower back. You giggled when you felt his breath hitting the shell of your ear. "Couldn't take my eyes off of you, sweet girl," he murmured. For an added effect, he grazed his teeth along the shell of your ear. He knew it drove you wild.
You whined out gently. "Baby, please."
He knew he had to keep himself tame for now. He'll show you how much he enjoyed the view once you were alone. For now though, he'd do everything he could to make you feel like the only woman in existence. Because in his eyes, you were just that. Nothing else mattered besides you.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything," a voice spoke from beside you. You pulled back slightly, but not enough to step out of Hongjoong's arm. Not that he would let you anyway. If anything, his grip tightened a bit to hold you closer.
Looking over, you grinned to see your best friend with her new husband. You set your glass down on the counter of the bar. Sensing your excitement, Hongjoong let go of you. And just in time too because you threw your arms around your best friend. Hongjoong and your best friend's husband share a laugh.
She hugged you back tightly before you two slowly let go of each other. Hongjoong wrapped his arm loosely around you but turned to politely address the happy couple in front of him. Maybe it was the sips of alcohol helping his confidence, or the words from the stranger during the ceremony, but the nerves leading up to this day subsided. It felt odd to be the nervous one giving the milestone the couple in front of the two of you just experienced.
"So you're the man who's captured my best friend's heart, huh?" Your best friend asked teasingly. "Well if anything, she's got me wrapped around your finger and I pray every day she doesn't let me go."
Your best friend grinned at the response. Hongjoong up by one point.
The conversation between the four of you flowed easily. Your best friend asked her typical interrogation questions, which made you internally groan. Hongjoong wasn't fazed by any of it. Most of your exes in the best would have frozen and spewed out whatever. Not Hongjoong. he answered honestly.
"So where do you see this going? Because my best friend is the whole world and she deserves it." "And I couldn't agree more," Hongjoong answered. "And truth be told, if you asked me yesterday, I would've said that we are taking it one day at a time." "But?" "But now? I want everything with her." Hongjoong looked down at you, seeing your shocked expression. He couldn't wipe the grin off his face.
"Everything and anything as long as you're by my side." He no longer spoke to your best friend. He was speaking directly to you. Your smile was wide, which eased Hongjoong's heart when he noticed your eyes tearing up. His lips pressed firmly against your forehead before looking at the married couple.
One day, you two will be there. He was certain of it.
Homecoming - Kim Mingyu

Synopsis: The expectations vs. reality of bringing your significant other to your hometown
Pairing: Kim Mingyu x fem. reader
Warnings: mentions of death (of family member), comforting fluff because Mingyu is THE golden retriever boyfriend.
Word Count: 1.2k
Your eyes looked out of the plane window, your smile growing as you recognized some of the landmarks of your hometown as you flew overhead. It is rare nowadays that you get a chance to come home. Most of the time, it is your parents coming to visit you.
Mingyu liked seeing this side of you. He liked seeing you relaxed rather than stressing over deadlines or trying to meet social obligations. While Mingyu loved seeing you get dressed up for date nights, he loved seeing you dressed in sweats with your hair pulled back.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have begun our descent. Please make sure tray tables and your seats are upright, and that your seatbelts are fastened. We will be arriving in about 20 minutes."
Gently, Mingyu leaned over to kiss your cheek. You jumped slightly, getting lost in your own thoughts.
You turned your head from the window to look at your boyfriend. Your cheeks were a light red color, a bit embarrassed for jumping. All Mingyu did was offer a light smile that made your stomach erupt into butterflies, forgetting all about your slight embarrassment.
What you adored about Mingyu was that he was never the type to make you embarrassed. He was kind and considerate, easily qualifying as the world's best boyfriend.
"Are you okay, angel?" He whispered.
You squeezed his hand gently, smiling lightly back. You were okay with Mingyu by your side.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The air around you felt still. There was light movement around the house, but you felt like you were in your own universe. Your parents graciously offered to let you and Mingyu stay in their home for your short visit.
While Mingyu was getting ready in your childhood bedroom, you were in your bathroom. Your makeup bag had spilled its containments on the yellow tile counter. Your curling iron was cooling down on the other side, unplugged before you would tuck it away back in the cabinet underneath the sink. Part of you knew you had to get ready, but the other part of you couldn't bring yourself to finish.
Not when you knew what was waiting for you.
Sensing movement behind you, you looked up. Mingyu was slowly approaching you, that loving smile of his that made you weak in the knees flashed in your direction. it didn't have the same effect today. No, after seeing that smile, you just wanted to curl back into bed. He knew this was going to be a tough few days for you, and he was more than ready to be there for whatever you needed.
"You look gorgeous, doll," he whispered. The room was so silent that it felt like he was up close to you even though he just stepped into the bathroom. "Do you need help?"
You hadn't even realized your dress was half-zipped. You were just going through the motions at this point. Once he was close enough to you, he rested one hand on your hip. His thumb caressed against your clothed side, pulling a gentle smile on your lips. He always knew the little ways to make you feel better. Even if it was just for a second.
"Please?"
Mingyu didn't need to be asked twice. Keeping his hand on your hip, his free hand gently grasped onto the black zipper. His thumb and index finger moved the zipper along the back of the dress until it reached the top. He went slowly, not wanting you to feel rushed but also making sure no hair of yours was at risk of getting caught.
Once you were completely zipped up, he kissed your cheek lingeringly. "Absolutely gorgeous today, darlin'," he whispered into your skin. His arms wrapped around you fully, allowing you to lean back into him. Slowly, you released a shaky breath you didn't know you were holding.
"You know, you don't have to put on a brave face today, angel. It's okay to be sad. That's why I'm here. I'm your shoulder to lean on, a safe space for you to cry. I've even got two mini packet of tissues ready to go for you."
Your hands ran up and down his arms slowly, not wanting to leave the room to encounter what was waiting for you on the other side. You weren't sure how you got blessed to have Mingyu you, but you weren't taking any second spent with him for granted.
This was not how you envisioned bringing your long-term boyfriend home for the first time would go. You weren't expecting to introduce him to everyone at your paternal grandmother's funeral. You wanted him to come with you this summer when you were going to be at your happiest with the warm air and summer festivities. Not in the bitterness of winter at a funeral.
Yet, you were glad he was here. He kept you together when you felt like falling apart, even when you weren't aware of how you were about to fall over the edge. He was always there to catch you.
"I know," you responded, a voice at a soft whisper. "I just don't know how to feel. I mean, none of this feels real. It wasn't supposed to go this way."
Mingyu slowly nodded. His head gently rested against yours after pressing a soft kiss into the crown of your head. "It's okay to feel however you feel. Grief is a tricky thing, but you're not alone. If you need a laugh, I can do that. I can also be there to wipe away your tears. If you want to go scream, we can drive around and blast music. But you are not alone."
You were truly the luckiest person alive. Looking at your reflection, you just took a moment to admire the man in front of you. At a moment's notice, he cleared his entire schedule so he could accompany him to the other side of the world. You tried insisting he stayed in Seoul, but it was a topic not up for negotiation. He knew you needed him.
"Thank you."
Slowly, you turned your head so you could tilt it up to look at him. He opened his mouth to speak but you just shook your head. You leaned in to press your lips fully against his.
It was a brief kiss, but one you hoped conveyed everything you felt and believed in. Mingyu reminded you of your self-worth, but also how important you needed to take care of you. And he would happily take care of you if you let him. And it was vice versa. Whenever Mingyu was in trouble, you hoped he knew that he could always turn towards you.
He was the one to break the kiss before resting it against your forehead. Your eyes fluttered at the feeling as if you just enjoyed the feeling of his body heat against you, internalizing the love you unconditionally showed you.
"If you want to stay here all day, we can. Wherever you go, I follow, sweet girl," he promised.
You knew deep down the next few hours, days, and even weeks were going to be hard. Part of you was afraid to experience the rollercoaster that is grief. Yet, you were comforted in the fact that Mingyu would always offer his hand to hold so you were never truly alone.

Different Sides - Kim Seokjin

Synopsis: To Seokjin, the world was his to claim. He could care less about the differences that were meant to keep people separated or the physical miles that made the distance. Especially when it comes to you, he was ready to give your relationship his all.
Pairing: Kim Seokjin x reader
Genre: Fluffffff, strangers to lovers high-key missing Seokjin hours 💜
Word Count: 2.5k
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Kim Seokjin has always been curious about the world around him. He believed everywhere told a story. And instead of reading about it, he wanted to just experience it for himself.
While Jin was exploring the world outside of Korea, he knew that he always had to find Korean food wherever he goes. Whether it was at a restaurant or finding ingredients at home, he was determined to get a little piece of home wherever he goes. On this particular trip, he wondered into an Asian grocery store. He never knew places like this existed, but he was overjoyed.
That afternoon, you found yourself venturing to the Asian grocery store. You were inspired by a video you saw online of a person making a stew, which you figured would be perfect for a cold, rainy night.
With a list of ingredients typed onto your phone, you began to stroll through the aisles for everything you needed. You were pretty confident looking through the produce aisles. Potatoes, onions, green chili. Where you struggled is one you got to the spices.
You frequently glanced between the English typed on your phone with the Hangul on the printed labels. Maybe you could just grab what looked like it was used in the video? But the problem was also that many of the ingredients looked alike. Your eyes glanced around you to see if an employee could help you but there was no one in sight.
Jin was around though. He wanted to make naengmyeon, a craving he had since he landed in the United States. He was able to pick up most of the ingredients pretty easily, but he was having a hard time locating the actual noodle packets for it.
That's when he spotted you. You were staring up at the expansive shelves of spices, eyes bouncing around. He took note of the freckles that decorates your cheeks and the few moles that kissed your jawline. Your eyebrows were slightly scrunched which he found adorable.
Slowly, as to not startle you, he made his way over to you. His packet of ingredients rested on his forearm.
"You seem like you might need some help? May I?"
Jin silently thanked his parents and the universe for allowing him to study abroad when he was in his youth. He had gotten pretty good at being able to read English. He was just trying to work on speaking it without additional assistance, especially since he was traveling on his own. You looked up, relief washing over your face. Jin was mesmerized by the color of your eyes. He couldn't quite describing them but he found them enchanting. They were such a unique color, almost as if it was a color made just for you. He noticed your eyebrows relaxed as you eased down from your tiptoes.
"Please? I thought I was doing a good job at writing all the ingredients down, but I forgot about the part of the bottles being in a different language."
He chuckled lightly at you. Not because he was amused by your struggle, but he just found your adorable. He also loved that you thought you had to justify yourself to him, but there was no need. It was fate by the universe for you two to cross paths like this.
Jin held out his free hand, motioning for your phone. He gladly took your device and began to scroll through. He was able to easily pick up the exact spices you needed. It also worked out in his favor seeing as he could easily reach them from his height. With ease, he grabbed the remaining spices you needed before setting them down in your basket. "You know, there is one thing you're missing from your list." To your surprise, you raised an eyebrow. You figured that this stranger must know what they are talking about. Just eyeing his own basket, he seemed to know his way around the kitchen, so surely he could put two and two together to figure out what you were making. "What am I missing? Is there a secret ingredient to make it better?" You laughed. "Yeah, you're missing my number. Every good meal needs good company."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You weren't the type of person to invite someone over spontaneously, let alone someone you just met a few hours ago. Yet, there was something about Jin that was different. After the interaction at the grocery store, you craved being around him.
Your eyes bounced around your studio apartment. You wanted to make sure everything was set up appropriately. Was it too casual? You had floor lamps on rather than the harsh overhead light in the main part of the room. There also were three candles of different heights lit on your kitchen table. Was it too romantic?
All the ingredients were laid out on the kitchen island, ready to be prepared. Jin insisted that you two cook together. "I just want to make sure you do it correctly," he teased you in the grocery store. If it meant that you could to spend time with him, you weren't complaining.
Knock knock knock
"Shit," you murmured underneath your breath. You didn't get the chance to second-guess yourself. Your heart pounding almost to the same beat at Jin knocking on the door. How could a stranger make you so nervous so easily?
"Coming! Just give me a second," you called out. You walked over towards the front of your apartment while your hands got busy at smoothing out your clothes. You wore a pair of ripped jeans and a grey sweatshirt with the hands rolled up to the elbows since you two were cooking. You had your hair half pulled back by a claw clip, showing off the gold earrings you might've stolen from your sibling.
Before you answered the door, you looked at your reflection in the mirror. You made sure your makeup, while light, was not smudged. You gave yourself a quick smile, wanting to make sure you had nothing stuck in your teeth. Your hands were trembling with excitement.
Satisfied with your appearance, you walked fully to the door. You unlocked the top lock before opening it up. You gasped softly to be presented first with a bouquet of flowers, Jin smiling sheepishly.
"Really hope you're not allergic," he joked. You giggled before shaking your head, gladly taking the flowers into your arms. "Not trying to take this date to the hospital."
"I'm sure you could even make a trip to the hospital fun," you teased. You stepped aside to allow Jin into your apartment. He smiled as he crossed the threshold, watching as he shrugged off the jacket he was wearing. Holy fuck. His back and shoulder muscles are impressive.
Seokjin could feel his eyes on him, causing him to smirk. He glanced over at you from over his shoulder. "Like what you see?" As if to make things worse, he rolled his sleeves up to his elbows now that jacket has been discarded. You just couldn't take your eyes off of him, and he knew that.
Your cheeks quickly gained a red hue. You wanted to apologize, not wanting to be rude. However, hearing his laughter as he proceeded to head towards your kitchen gave you some relief. While at the same time, your stomach was warm and fuzzy from hearing him. He really was something.
"Are you coming, sweet girl? Every great chef needs their sous-chef."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Making dinner quickly became the thing you two did. Whether it was for one another or together, the two of you were always in the kitchen. It was your favorite way of showing your love to someone. Jin was just content to be wherever you were.
That day in the grocery store turned into your first date of many. Throughout Jin's visit to America, he made frequent visits to your apartment with bags filled with groceries. Your apartment became filled with delicious smells, infectious laughter, and the sound of you two making out.
You couldn't believe how quickly things have escalated between the two of you. Yet, it felt like you two have known each other this whole time. He understood you in ways nobody else has even tried to comprehend before. And you were so curious about him - from his wit to his kind heart.
The months of Jin's stay were quickly dwindling down to a few weeks. And now, there were only a few days.
Everyone said the two of you would never work out. Your friends were concerned that the distance would be too much for you two to endure. Your parents were not the biggest fans of him considering they only had met him once.
Yet, their voices were all white noise to you. The only person that mattered when it came to your relationship was Kim Seokjin. Every day, he made it his mission to make it known how committed he was to you. He knew long distance relationships could be a source of anxiety, especially when it comes to unknowns.
There was nothing more that he was certain about than how he feels about you. The two of you met when Seokjin was on a solo trip. Since studying abroad in his youth, he was fascinated with the world around him. That is why he was so inspired to take up English, so he could be more connected with the world.
At the moment, you were both lying on your couch. Jin's back was against the arm of the couch, so you could rest comfortably against his back. One of his arms was wrapped around your body, keeping you close. Your other hand was playing with his free hand. You were comparing your hand sizes, seeing as he was much larger than your own. You would spread your fingers and he would mimick, adding to your amusement. In reality, it was serving as a distraction from what you really wanted to do.
"Alright, I've known you for about two months now. Something is going on in that pretty little head of yours,'' Jin commented.
He lifted his head off of your chin, so he could look at you properly. You often got quiet when you had something on your mind, something that you were going back and forth about confessing. Your eyebrows would furrow the slightest bit. You always thought you were slick about it, but he could see right through you.
"Come on, talk to me."
Jin offered a gentle smile. He was ready to listen to whatever was troubling your mind. You felt so comfortable around him.
"What are we doing, Jin?"
He furrowed his eyebrows, tilting his head in confusion. "Right now, we're laying on your couch. We might cook, or if you want to just order in, you can show me your favorite restaurant. I won't get jealous because know I'm your favorite chef though," he smirked.
Normally, his humor helped lift the mood but not this time. Not when there were so many scenarios playing out in your mind at this exact moment.
"No, I mean, what are we doing? What is this between us?"
Jin sat up a bit straighter, but he didn't loosen his hold on you. His smirk did disappear though and furrowed eyebrows. He was providing all the space possible to allow you to elaborate.
Sure, he's thought about it. He was also curious as to what you two were heading toward, or what you could call yourselves. He's never felt a connection as intensely as whatever it is you two had. But he was aware that time was no longer on their side, and it was time to explore what life was outside of the bubble you two created.
If only he could freeze time before it all burst.
"Y/n, angel, I'm not sure."
You frowned at his words, trying your best not to fall apart in front of him. It could have just been a summer romance to him, nothing more and nothing less. You couldn't help but get your hopes up though.
"We have something special," he reaffirmed. "And I know that things are going to be different once I head back to Korea. I guess I'm not sure where things are heading because everyone has tried telling us that it's not going to work between you and I. But I want to prove them wrong." "So why don't we? Why don't we give it a try? Who says that it has to end the moment we say goodbye at the airport?" "What if instead of 'goodbye', we just say 'see you later'?" He offered.
If there was one thing about Kim Seokjin, he was a determined man. Whatever he wanted, he practically got.
However, Jin was skilled at making sure you never felt pressured to say yes to him. He was just happy to be in the same room as you. But, little did he know, it was so easy to say yes to him. You'd say a million times as long as it brought that charming smile of his.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two years later
"I don't thnk anyone in this room would have thought we'd be here today," your best friend spoke into the microphone.
You couldn't help but groan a bit in embarrassment, turning your head to hide in Jin's shoulder. His laughter rumbled from his chest, vibrating throughout you which made your heart flutter with excitement. He had such an effect over you.
His lips gently pressed to your head, an arm around your petite body. He couldn't help himself but run his finger over the white lace that covered your body. He just loved the feeling of the material underneath his fingertips.
What he loved more was the fact it was you sitting beside you. You wore a gorgeous white dress that looked custom-made for him. Truthfully, you could have walked down the aisle in a sack and he'd still be mesmerized by you.
"Seriously though. Their love story is one that you read about in romance novels, the ones where everything good happens. But they proved that impossible can be possible."
You lifted your head off of Jin's shoulder to look up at him. Every struggle was worth it knowing he was yours forever and always. After trying to battle canceled flights, time differences, and missed calls - you two made it. You defied the odds to get to this moment where you two are officially Mr. and Mrs. Kim Seokjin.
"I love you, Mrs. Kim,' he whispered. "And I love you, my handsome Mr. Kim," you giggled.
He grinned wide before pressing his lips to yours lingeringly. You lost count of how many times he kissed you tonight, but he just couldn't get enough of the feeling of it. The way your lips felt against his, how soft they were - how each kiss felt like the first kiss.
He was devoted to you and you were devoted him. Now, you just proved everyone wrong with what you two knew this whole time.
There was nobody else for you but Kim Seokjin.

He unlocked the front door to his apartment. The greeting bell ringing as the door opened. He slipped off his shoes by the front door, not wanting to dirty up his living space. If anything, he kept his apartment clean for Yeontan.
Speaking of his beloved roommate, he heard tiny paws hitting against the wooden floor of his apartment. Taehyung quickly got to work to slip off his jacket before crouching down to greet Yeontan. Tannie's tail wagged furiously, equally as happy to be reunited with Tae. Taehyung scooped his companion in his arms before making his way into the living room.
Tonight, he went on another date. He's been trying over the past few months to put himself more out there. A mutual friend had paired him with a woman his friend swore was "his perfect match."
The two carried a good conversation through the evening. Taehyung admired her fashion sense and her humor. They couldn't take their eyes off one another. The woman was kind and generous but there wasn't a connection. To everyone at the restaurant, it must have seemed like it was the perfect date.
However, there was one thing wrong. She wasn't you.
By fate, you two were signed to Hybe. You were a part of the company's newest girl group. He was amazed by not just your vocal range, but your stage presence. You danced as if that was the only thing you knew how to do. And to some extent, it was true. You have been dancing since you were three.
When you were in your trainee days, BTS took it upon themselves to offer themselves as support systems for you. They didn't want to come across as overbearing, not wanting to overwhelm you and your members. They just wanted to be the support they wished they received in their training days. There was just one member who always seemed to linger - Taehyung.
He couldn't take his eyes off of you. He first fell for your smile. You were polite toward your seniors, but you still smiled brightly. You didn't try to hold yourself back to make a good impression. Taehyung then quickly fell for your personality has he gotten to know you. You were a literally disco ball, the life of the party and capturing everyone's attention.
Since then, the two of you were inseparable. You would do anything and everything together. When you had an idea, you were texting Taehyung first to see if he wanted to tag along. Whatever it was, he was just content that you asked him.
Of course, Taehyung made it easy for you to fall for him. He was the textbook definition of a gentleman. Not only was he respectful and considerate, but he knew how to make you laugh, he knew how to be serious so you could be vulnerable with him, and he was supportive. Seeing him dance to the tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin made it easy to fantasize what it would be like to slow dance with him. It was a bonus that he was just so damn attractive.
Yet, neither of you have confessed your feelings for one another. It was a little secret between the two of you. A secret the rest of the company seemed to pick up on. Taehyung was worried about coming on too strong, about scaring you off. You, on the other hand, was worried he would never be into you romantically. Equally, you both were afraid of repercussions from the company. It was just a tough situation.
With Yeontan in his arms, Taehyung sat on the lavish couch in front of the TV. If he had just confessed his feelings for you sooner, maybe there would be 3 bodies here instead of 2.
Taehyung turned to gaze out of the window. His right hand gently stroking Yeontan's back. Somewhere in the city, you were out there. Has she eaten dinner? Was she already asleep? Was she happy?
Buzz buzz
The vibrations from Taehyung's phone pulled him from his inner thoughts. Almost on cue, he saw your name flashing across the homescreen. Just seeing your name was enough to bring a wide smile to his. God, she has me wrapped around her little finger and she doesn't even know it.
He picked up the phone, unlocking it with the camera recognizing his face. He smiled as he was able to read your message instantly. Especially since he texted you last before his date's arrival this evening.
"Any chance you're up right now?"
Almost all the time, Taehyung was overjoyed to hear from you. Right now though, this was one of the few times he didn't want to hear from you. It was 11:32pm. You should be asleep by now. Why were you up? Was something wrong?
Taehyung's fingers never moved so quickly. Fueled by concern, he knew there was no way he could settle in for the night properly if you were in distress.
Was it odd for him to feel this way for someone he wasn't involved with? Maybe to others. For Taehyung, he was convinced that there was something between the two of you. He just wasn't as confident whether you felt the same, or if it was just a false hope in his head.
'Yeah, I actually just got home. What's going on?"
"Can't sleep ☹️ don't want to be a bother, but are you feeling up for a walk or something? Heard that is supposed to help." "Why don't we go take a walk to grab your favorite snacks? You can come crash over here. I'll even drive us to the company in the morning since we both have rehearsals.
Luckily, your dorm wasn't too far from his apartment. However, he soon glanced at the dog on his lap. Yeontan. Just getting home from his evening plans, he felt a bit guilty of leaving his trusted companion once again even if it was temporary. Especially after being out for the majority of the day due to his schedule.
Yet, he felt like it was too forward to ask you to come over to his. He definitely didn't want to send the wrong idea. Honestly, Taehyung believed he was a fairly confident man. Until it came to you.
"Oh, bring Tannie too. I haven't seen my boy in forever!"
Just at the sight of that text, Tae's smile grew wide. Sensing that something was going out, Yeontan looked up with his tongue sticking out and mouth slightly opened. It was as if he was smiling too at the prospect of getting to see you.
"Wanna go for a walk?" Taehyung cooed gently.
Good thing he had no intention of sleeping anytime soon.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With one hand in his pocket, keeping it warm, the other held onto Yeontan's leash. You know, he was trying to keep his free hand warm in case you wanted to hold it or something. You never know. He couldn't help but notice the sight of Yeontan's wondering eyes. Taehyung's own eyes were wondering around the open park.
The two of you agreed to meet by the parking, so you had space to walk around freely without truly being noticed. Or at least not as noticed as you would be if you were in the streets of Seoul. You also were nearby convenience stores if the two of you needed to escape the night's chill. It also worked in Yeontan's favor as he could exert any extra energy with the open space.
Tugging brought Taehyung out of his own search. He looked down to see Yeontan standing on his hind legs every few months as if he could get more distance. Taehyung quickly looked over to see what had caught Yeontan's attention.
"Good boy," he smirked.
You were walking towards your two favorite boys. Your hands were tucked into the pockets of your puffer jacket. You wore a beanie on top of your head, much to Taehyung's satisfaction. He liked knowing you were taking care of yourself, his treasure.
God, he was so whipped.
Taehyung didn't realize he had loosened the grip on Yeontan's leash until the little Pomeranian took off running. Taehung was about to take off running until he noticed Yeontan had his eye on the finish line. You.
From across the park, he could hear your giggle. He watched with fondness as you crotched down, catching Yeontan. Instantly, Yeontan wasn't shy in showing his affection for you. If only Taheyung could muster up the same courage.
He began approaching his two favorite people. You were talking as if Yeontan was your own child, which made Taehyung fall eve harder for you. You peered up as you noticed movement, smiling wide when your eyes met Taehyung's. Yep, he was in love.
"Tannie, look. Your appa is joining us."
With ease, you scooped Yeontan in your arms so you could stand up. This was a sight Taehyung could get used to. Yeontan seemed so relaxed in your arms, resting his own head on your arm.
"Ready to grab some snacks and relax for the rest of the evening?" He chuckled. "I hope you don't mind if I vent to you while we feast."
Honestly, Taehyung could listen to you speak all day if you'd let him.
He honestly felt prideful in the fact you saw him as a loyal friend. He wasn't sure what he did to earn the title of being your confidant, but it was a job he didn't take lightly. Taehyung would do anything to bring you happiness, to bring you peace of mind. If talking is what you needed, then he was ready to listen.
"I hope you know to never say that again because there is nothing I wouldn't do for you."
You smiled wide as you nodded, understanding Taehyung's request. He could have sworn he noticed your cheeks flush.
Before he could tease you about it, he felt your lips touch his cheek. His eyes widened as it was a quick peck that sent shockwaves throughout his entire body.
Now it was his turn to get flustered.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I just couldn't believe that she laughed so hard, banana milk came out of her nose," you laughed. "But then she got made at us laughing, so we added an extra 30 minutes of rehearsal."
Taehyung couldn't help but laugh as you retold the antics of you and your members. It reminded him very much so of the early days of Bangtail. He knew the journey he shared with his members was a tough one, but it built such a solid brotherhood for him. It made him feel complete knowing he has 6 of the best friends in the world.
"It sounds like we might need to get your leader together with Jungkookie," Taehyung teased. "I've never known of someone who consumes as much banana milk as he does." "You know, she does have a thing for him. I think she said something about his tattoos, how she finds him so dreamy."
Taehyung's ears shot up at the mention. He couldn't help but wonder what you thought. Not in the sense if you were into his best friend, but he did want to know what you were into, what you disliked. He wanted you to be his new favorite story as he learns about you and from you.
You carried yourself with so much poise and grace. It was hard to believe you were actually younger than him.
And not to mention, going on double dates wouldn't be a bad idea. Especially if you were his date for the evening.
"What about you, y/n? Does someone have your attention?"
Once again, he could have sworn he saw your cheeks flushed. However, not wanting to ruin the moment, he was going to refrain from teasing. He was so close to getting information that could either verify or deny his speculations. He also wanted to know if it was safe to fall for you, that you could see him as a suitable partner.
"There might be someone. I'm still trying to gauge if he's into me, so I'm not trying to spill too much information. I feel like sometimes when I talk especially with the girls, they get too excited."
Taehyung nodded his head even though he was eternally screaming for joy. There was a chance he was the someone you were referring to. And the fact that you have talked to your members about him.
But he wasn't trying to get ahead of himself. Reality was pestering him that maybe it wasn't him you were into yet. Your body language with your flushed cheeks told him differently.
Again, he wasn't going to press for too much information. Not quite yet.
"Well, what I will say is that any guy would be lucky to have you in their life. And as someone who is your best friend, I can confirm that. I'm very lucky to have you."
You smiled wide at Taehyung, gently curling into his side. Your gaze finally shifted back to the movie the two of you had put on but had forgotten about.
Internally, he debated if he should make a move or not. It wasn't odd for the two of you to cuddle. But this felt different. This was far more intimate. He felt your body shift again, getting closer to him.
Coming to a decision, he wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You seemed content at the feeling of his arm around you. He wasn't going to push his luck.
"You comfortable, angel?" "Very," you whispered.
Taehyung prayed you couldn't hear the sound of his fast-racing heart especially since you were in such close proximity. His finger tips ran along your forearm, wanting you to feel comfortable and feel safe around him. If you asked him to stop, he would in a heartbeat. However, tracing his fingers against you somehow brought comfort to himself.
For a few minutes, he tried following the dialogue of the movie. It was something about country boy falling for a city girl?
The movie didn't matter to Taehyung. All he wanted was to hear your voice, your laughter. He just wanted to be with you.
"Did I tell you about the time Yoongi-hyung got locked out his studio? For 3 days?" He chuckled.
However, when he didn't hear your voice immediately, he did look down. And his heart nearly melted.
He was amazed by how quickly you fell asleep but even more amazed at the sight before him.
There you were. Curled up beside you with your eyes shut, eyelashes against the tops of your cheeks. Your head was resting against his shoulder, a hand resting on his stomach. He noticed your chest was rising and following. Your mouth was slightly open. He's never seen a more beautiful sight. And the fact you felt comfortable.
There were bags of opened all over his bed. Yeontan was curled up into a ball at the end of his bed, by your feet. He could get used to this being a part of his nightly routine.
He couldn't help but wonder if you two would ever get to this point. It felt like the two of you were dropping hints, to get a feel of how the other might react. All arrows were pointing in the direction of hi confessing his feelings. But he was still afraid. He was afraid of scaring you off, of ruining what you two have.
"Goodnight, sweet girl," he murmured before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
Just as he was about turn off the light beside him but noticed his phone glow. A new text message. Who could it be this late?
With his free hand, he reached over to check the message. Maybe it was one of the guys? Maybe Hobi would cancel dance rehearsal so he had an excuse to lay in bed with you all day? I mean, you could fake being sick after all.
However, what he wasn't expecting was a text from his date earlier in the evening. He almost forgot about all about her.
"Thanks for the sweet night! Same time tomorrow? 🥰"
Glancing between his phone and you, laid up beside him. He knew the obvious answer. However, he couldn't bring himself to do it.
"Sure! Same time?"

Note: SO I'm thinking this is laying the groundwork for a part 2 or maybe even a mini series. Not sure so please let me know what you think!!
I also feel like this went ALL over the place but it just needed to leave my drafts once and for all..
Game Night - Yoon Jeonghan

Synopsis: Jeonghan was the type of guy who joked around, the type to be not so serious. I guess that's why you never took his flirting to be anything more than him trying to get you to laugh. Jeonghan was now determined to make you see differently.
Pairing: Yoon Jeonghan x fem reader
Genre: friends to lovers! playful competitiveness with Jeonghan
Word Count: 1.8k
——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
"So, y/n, what are the chances of you letting me be yours for the night?" Jeonghan asked teasingly. "Maybe when you learn to stop cheating at Guess Who!" You groaned.
It was a typical Sunday night for you and Jeonghan. You two always had game nights together, ever since you can remember. Both of you were quite competitive, so you were equal competitors for one another. At this point, most of the members have given up on playing against Jeonghan anyways.
Jeonghan and you had become good friends over the past few years. However, you never believed Jeonghan was into you. He sometimes liked to flirt with people because he thrived on making people feel uncomfortable for a second before making them laugh. He definitely was a trickster.
Recently though, Jeonghan didn't see his flirting towards you as just teasing. He was starting to realize he was starting to like you. More than a friend. It took a lot to scare Jeonghan but what scared him the most was you ever finding out about his little secret. If anything, he amplified his flirting with you to try to keep his crush concealed for a little bit longer.
He was sure he would tell you eventually. He just didn't know when.
"I can't help that you are bad at dropping hints. Seriously, y/n. You make it too easy for me!"
You rolled your eyes at Jeonghan's antics. To anyone, they might find his confidence insufferable. However, to you, you found it endearing. Jeonghan was the man who could be silent when he needed to be, especially when encountering new experiences and new people. When he was comfortable and relaxed, he let his true colors shine.
You were just blessed to be one of the lucky ones who got to experience his entire rainbow.
"Okay, let's actually play this time. Honest and fair." "Honest and fair."
I his mind, the gears were turning. Sure, he wanted to win the game but he had an alternative motive. A lot was on the line.
"Have you selected who I am going to guess right?" You asked challengingly.
Jeonghan rolled his eyes playfully but he couldn't wipe the smile off his face. Whenever he was around you, he found himself smiling brighter than ever before. You just managed to pull that side out of him oh so easily.
He also has never encountered someone who was maybe just as competitive as he was.
"Yeah, angel. I'm ready to watch you get frustrated. You're really cute when you get flustered, you know? I always love the way your nose scrunches up and you get a bit red in the face." "That doesn't happen,' you lied. "Oh right, it doesn't when it is with anyone else. I guess I just have that effect over you," he snickered.
You could feel your cheeks heating up the more he spoke. It didn't help he was staring you down with that smug grin on his face.
God, why does he have to be so damn attractive?
"Shut up," you muttered. "Let's just play, ok?"
He leaned back in the chair, arms crossed over his chest. He was easily amused by how easily he could make you crumble.
One of the very first things that Jeonghan noticed about you was how independent you were. You weren't afraid to call people out on their bullshit, and always felt the freedom to voice your opinion. You weren't the type of person who needed to rely on others to do something.
It was quite the treat to watch you lose your train of thought if he just looked at you. You often forgot what you were going to say the moment Jeonghan said something flirtatious to you. He almost didn't register the possibility of you liking him back until he noticed how you looked away to try to conceal the wide smile on your lips and pink blush coating your cheeks.
The two of you have been doing this waltz around confessing your feelings for a while now. And frankly, Jeonghan was getting tired of playing that game. He wanted something new.
"Pretty ladies first," Jeonghan announced.
There you go again, blushing at his words. It was almost too easy.
"Does your person have facial hair?"
He took a moment to act as if he he had to think about it. You raised an eyebrow, knowing that he was up to something but you couldn't quite put your finger on it.
"Oh come on, Hannie, we just started. There's no way you forgot already who your character is," you teased.
His heart fluttered every time you called him that petname. A lot of people called him Hannie. But when you say it? It was music to his ears. It made him feel all warm and tingly at the prospective of him being exclusively yours and you being all his.
"No, my character doesn't. I was just trying to make you annoyed again," he snickered.
You rolled your eyes but kept a light smile on your lips. Anyone else would be underneath your skin, but he just had this way of finding his antics endearing. Your pointer finger got to work at flipping down the 8 characters you successfully eliminated.
"So, my sweet girl," he began. Oh, here we go. "Does your character have glasses?"
You smirked as he guessed incorrectly. You looked up at him with this look of amusement on your face. Honestly, he has never found you more attractive than when you let your competitive side free. He liked a challenge.
And getting to be your man was his greatest challenge yet.
"No strike, buddy. Better luck next time."
You and Jeonghan continued going back and forth like this for a few rounds. Jeonghan had still had six character cards flipped up, whereas you only had one. You were about to go in for the kill.
"Is your person Charlotte?"
Finally! You beat Jeonghan!
"Oh, I'm sorry. That's incorrect," he smirked.
Your eyes grew wide as they flickered between the game board and Jeonghan. That was impossible. You had literally one character card left. Your eyes narrowed on him as he just sat there with a wide grin on his lips. He had his elbows resting on the table as he watched I amusement.
"You said honest and fair this time," you whined. "And I have been honest! You were asking for my person, and all the things you were asking did not match up with who I selected." "Oh really now? Okay smartass, prove it."
Gladly.
Very slowly, Jeonghan got up to make his way over to you. You raised an eyebrow, but with each step he took towards you, your heart beats faster and harder. What was he doing? You wanted to question him but you were drawn speechless. Again. Only Yoon Jeonghan could make you tongue-tied. It was as if you were glued to your seat too as you watched him make the short journey from his end of the table towards yours.
"I'll describe my person to you. Maybe you accidentally flipped them down."
His voice was now softer, almost deeper. What is going on? All you could do was nod your head, eyes trained on him in anticipation.
"My person also has these eyes that quite literally are like two disco balls. They capture whatever light is reflected into them. I can't even tell you what color their eyes are because I've never see a shade like it before. But it is my favorite color." He had now approached your side the table, leaning against it as he looked down at you. "And just as bright of a smile to match."
You wanted to melt into a puddle before him with how warm and fuzzy he makes you feel by just doing the simplest of things. It wasn't fair.
"My person has long hair. Sometimes they curl it, somewhat they straighten it. Each time though, I want to run my fingers through it."
As he spoke, he lifted on hand to run through your hair. He tucked a few strands behind your ear. His fingertips moved forward until they grazed against your cheek. He didn't miss the opportunity to cup your cheek, keeping your head tilted up towards him so you couldn't look away no matter how badly you got flustered.
"My person also has this infectious laughter that makes me want to know every little joke, every little secret they might have. She also has this adventurous, competitive side of her that is so attractive. I think you two would get along just fine," he winked.
Your lips were slightly parted as you gazed up at him. This had to be a dream, right? There was no way this was actually happening.
"Y/n, you asked for my person. It's been you this whole time," he whispered.
For the first time, he seemed almost at a loss for words. It as if he couldn't believe he actually confessed to you. And now that his feelings were out in the open, he was afraid of the repercussions of being so vulnerable with you. His biggest fear was losing you, and he was afraid he was heading in that direction.
Slowly, you stood up. In fear, Jeonghan removed his hand from your face. Fuck, how can I fix this?
Instead, you wrapped your arms around his neck, and he didn't hesitate to hold your waist. He looked at you with excitement now in eyes, almost like a little boy on Christmas Day. You couldn't help but giggle at how adorable he looked.
"What are you waiting for, Hannie? You've got me where you've always wanted to me," you whispered.
He didn't need to be told twice. Ever so gently, as if you were made out of glass, he pressed his lips against yours. He couldn't fight the smile that grew on his lips. He squeezed your hips affectionately before pulling you in closer. You tilted your head at the right angle to kiss him deeply, without holding back anymore.
The feeling was indescribable. It was a mixture of joy and relief, knowing that years of pining after you finally amounted to this moment. He could really let every emotion, every thought of you free and not just dwell in his mind. And the best part was that it was reciprocated.
You were the one to break the kiss at first but kept your face close to his. You wore a similar goofy smile, just as in disbelief that you kissed not only your best but but the man of your dreams.
"I can't believe you used a board game to confess your feelings to me." "But it looks like I won after all," he smirked.
You rolled your eyes playfully before leaning up to press your lips against his again.
Play Nicely - Lee Chan

Synopsis: "I got a preview of what it would be like not to be yours, and I hated it so much."
Pairing: Idol! Dino x fem reader
Genre: PG-13 - slight angst, slightttttt smutttt if you squint, jealousy ft. The8, established relationship, possession
Word Count: 2.1k
Dino wasn't used to sitting on the dance floor, being in charge of the music. He was normally the one in front of the mirror, learning the choreography. This time around though, Dino had to take the backseat in order for Minghao to practice the choreography for his upcoming music video.
He was in the midst of preparing for his newest solo single. It was a bit sexier of a concept compared to Hai Cheng released last year. This time around, it had a heavy influence compared to the group's Light A Flame number. Minghao wanted to step out of his comfort zone, to show off his full range of dancing capabilities especially now that his collarbone has fully healed.
Being the good friend that you are, you volunteered to help Minghao with the choreography. By no means were you a professional like the rest of the group, or really like any extra the company could have hired. However, you wanted to take a challenge. You've always been curious about the world of dance, especially after watching Dino command the stage with his capabilities.
Minghao was ecstatic about the opportunity. Not only because he could take his time since you were helping as a friend, but he felt more comfortable doing the dance with someone he knew. This style of dance was newer to him as a solo performer, so being able to do it without feeling like he was going to waste someone's time really benefitted his learning process.
Dino was also very blessed to see you step up to help one of his friends. The maknae was a bit hesitant to introduce you to his friend group. He knew his members could be intimidating but also knew he was often subject to most of the teasing. Not always, but most of it when Mingyu was MIA. He just didn't want to give them anymore ammunition or have you dragged into it.
It brought him great joy to see how easily you were accepted by the group. Sure, there was some teasing here and there. However, his 12 brothers were just pleased to see their youngest happy. That is all they wanted for him anyway.
You were wearing a blank tank top, your hair pulled back into a high ponytail. You were also wearing a pair of black leggings. Your facial expression showed you were relaxed. Maybe the two of you should take dance classes together? He was intrigued by the opportunity to see you dance, wondering what you were capable of.
"I'm just afraid of making a fool out of myself," Minghao explained. He ran his hand through his hair as he stood before you.
Being the comforting friend that you, you placed your hands on Minghao's shoulders. Staring into his eyes, you smiled gently. "You're not going to make a fool of yourself. You're one of the best dancers I know, Hao. We'll practice for however long you need so you can feel confident." Minghao smiled at you, nodding at your words
While Dino knew the interaction was innocent, he couldn't help but feel the sting in his heart. One of the best dancers you knew? What about him? He bit his lip as he stood up straighter. He could out dance Minghao if given the chance.
The rehearsal started lighthearted. Minghao was showing you the basic dance moves and keeping enough distance, so you could learn through trial and error. The three of you would laugh at the moments of awkwardness. it helped you feel at ease to be out of your element. It was such a lighthearted environment.
"Why don't we try it this time with the music? I think you got the basics of the dance down now, y/n!" "I can also pause it if you need to go over the steps again," Dino reminded.
You looked excited to try it with the music, and Dino and Minghao wanted to help you keep that enthusiasm. They were honestly grateful you were willing to help out, but wanted to keep it fun for you as this was a new experience.
However, once the music began to play, the mood shifted. it went from innocent and playful to seductive and intense. The track was a bit deeper than Seventeen's more lighthearted, poppy sounds they've been doing over the past few months. Quite frankly, it screamed sex appeal.
Dino has never wanted so desperately to pause the music, pause the intensity between the two of you. But he didn't want to be selfish.
Realizing where he was, he let out a sharp breath through his nostrils. He did his best to compose himself, not wanting to make a scene especially when he was with you and one of his best friends. He had to control himself. Neither of you were doing anything malicious, nor would you ever. You loved Dino too much to ever do something so careless whereas Minghao had too much respect for your relationship and the two of you as people.
Dino was just starting to realize maybe this wasn't a good idea after all.
His blood boiled as Minghao's eyes were trained on you. You were able to capture the attention of everyone in the room. And honestly, Dino loved watching you thrive and flourish in anything you did. You could just be cooking up lunch for the two of you, and he was always left speechless.
Internally, he knew he should be grateful that his best friend was looking out for you. You meant the world to each member, especially since they knew how happy you made their maknae. And Minghao was doing everything he could to make sure you didn't get hurt while dancing.
It just wasn't far that Minghao got to be this close to you when that's all Dino was craving. He was craving the feeling of your body heat against his. He wanted to stare into your eyes until the world stopped spinning. And honestly, he wanted to be the first and only dance partner you had.
As the song played, Dino's jealousy just grew. Minghao guided you in where to place your hands, how to move your hips. It made Dino's mind fuzzy as he remembered all the things your body was capable of, how good you could make him feel. But he was seeing red as he watched Minghao maneuver you around, how your hands trailed his body.
The ending post is what drove Dino feral. Your back was fully pressed up against Minghao's chest. Your head was tilted back to face him thanks to the light hold Minghao had on your neck, his thumb on your jawline. His other hand rested on your hip, close to your upper thigh to keep you close.
The only sound that filled the air as the music died out was the sound of you two breathing heavily, your chests rising and falling. Dino was only used to that sound when it was the two of you in his bed.
Sensing eyes burning through him, Minghao looked over. He was about to ask for Dino's opinion but froze when he saw the glare Dino held. It was so unlike his younger member, so he was a bit surprised. Yet, he was intrigued to see how else he could push his buttons.
Leaning in close to you, Minghao whispered in your hear. He made sure he kept a bit of distance as to not overwhelm you, but give the impression Minghao was kissing your ear. Anything to drive Dino up the wall.
"Why don't we take a five? Give your lover boy a chance to breathe?"
You tilted your head in confusion before taking a look over at Dino. You've never seen him with his jaw clenched so tightly. You were afraid he was going to break his teeth with that kind of hold on his jaw.
Untangling your bodies, Minghao and you stepped away from with each other. Even though you were aching to know what was bothering your boyfriend, you were overjoyed with how well that first run-through went.
"I'm going to get us some water. Be right back," Minghao announced almost too happily.
I should have nothing to worry about. It's my best friend fulfilling his goal, but it just happens to be with my girlfriend. With his hands all over MY girlfriend. Fuck this.
Once you two were the only ones in the room, you turned towards your boyfriend. You couldn't help the gentle smile that tugged onto your lips at the sight of your pouty boy. Dino has always been seen as far more mature for his age, probably because he wanted to fit in with his hyungs since Seventeen's debut days. Yet, in this moment, he resembled a little boy who was not getting his way.
You were taking tiny steps towards Dino. You were convinced he hasn't moved an inch since rehearsals started. He was sitting up straight with his back against the glass.
"Have I ever told you I hate sharing?" He grumbled.
You giggled and shook your head. Your reaction caused Dino's scowl to deepen as his head shot up towards you. "Sorry," you whispered, apologizing for your reaction. You didn't want to just cast his feelings to the side. This was just a side of Dino you've never experienced before.
"Baby boy, you're not sharing me with anyone." "Damn right I'm not," he muttered.
Before you could even respond, Dino leaned forward to grab your wrists. You gasped lightly at the movement but allowed Dino to guide you in the direction he desired. He gently pulled you down so you straddled his lap. His knees propped up so you could lean back and rest against them.
Once you got situated in the new position, his hands let go of your wrists. Instead, they perched themselves on your hips to keep you secured on his lap. Your arms wrapped around Dino's neck. One hand resting on the base of his neck, the other on the back of his head.
"You only go home with me at the end of the day."
Dino didn't know what took over him. He leaned forward and pressed his lips gently at first against your neck. Your fingers gently running through his hair now, gripping slightly. The action caused him to growl against your skin, causing butterflies to erupt in the pit of your stomach. His lips were like a magnet to your neck.
"Don't ever think I'm willing to let anyone get that close to you again. You hear me?" The kisses were no longer soft pecks. They were open-mouth kisses that traveled up and down your neck, as if he was searching for it.
As his lips were right by where your jaw and neck connect, you felt your breathing hitch. You pulled yourself closer, unaware that the movement had caused you to rub against Dino's hardening boner. His teeth sink into your neck before he began sucking on it to ease the temporary ache.
He needed to get you home. Or at least somewhere where nobody could walk in on you two.
"You drive me absolutely mad, baby girl. I'm so lucky." "And I'm all yours," you reminded him again.
His mind got fuzzy at the softness of your voice. He squeezed your hips lovingly before letting his tongue glide over the reddish-purple hickey forming on your neck. Just one mark that would remind everyone who you belonged to.
"I guess I'm not filming dance rehearsal today," Minghao announced.
Hearing Minghao's voice, you blushed hard. You were going to move off of Dino, wanting to apologize for the PDA. Yet, Dino didn't let you move. If anything, his grip tightened on you to keep you planted on his lap.
Also so Minghao didn't see the boner that was becoming more and more prominent.
Dino slowly pulled away before looking over at his older member. His body was a bit relaxed even though he still wished he could swap places with Minghao in a few minutes. Minghao looked amused, not knowing that his younger brother could get jealous so easily.
"Sorry, Minghao," Dino chuckled. 'I just couldn't help myself." "You could have at least waited until rehearsal was done. At least you didn't make my dance partner too sore she couldn't move. I'd like to just finish and get one ore run-through down."
The two of you nodded, understanding Minghao's request. You were here to help him after all. Turning towards your boyfriend, you kissed his cheek lingeringly. You could feel his smile grow beneath the kiss. "We'll pick up later," you promised him.
His heart skipped a beat at the thought.
As you pushed yourself up off of his lap, there was a loud gasp behind you. "Dude, you have a boner?! In our dance studio?! I'm going to have to bleach my eyes after this!"
And there's the normal dynamic Dino was used to.

You were tucked away in his world. You got to experience both sides of him and then more. A lot more.
Your chest was rising and falling, holding Yeosang's comforter up to your chest. This was a regular routine for you and Yeosang. Every week, at some point or another, you would find yourself in his bed.
Last night, tequila was the motivating factor that led you into his bedroom. It started off innocent, Yeosang just checking in on you. You both were at the same party, but attended with different people. However, once you spotted him and the alcohol settled in your system, you decided it was only appropriate you grinded your hips back into him.
Eagerly, Yeosang ordered an Uber for the two of you. You couldn't remember much once you stepped into his apartment except for the quiet giggles, hands all over each other, and rushes kisses.
And now here you were. It was 8:08am. It was always a rush to be sleeping with Yeosang, but lately, you were craving more. More than just what friends with benefits are meant to be.
Yeosang and you met after being in the same writing seminar freshman year. It was a requirement for first years, to help them get accustomed to the writing styles expected of them. The two of you didn't take the class too seriously, often coming in late or skipping all together. You weren't expecting to be friends with Yeosang, considering he was rather quiet in class.
That's how the friendship began to blossom. You would hang out either at his apartment or yours. It was also how you got close with Yeosang's roommates - Yunho, San, Mingi, and Wooyoung.
You two quickly became friends on an intimate level. It started when you were confiding in Wooyoung how frustrated you were with meeting guys on Tinder. With your busy schedule, you weren't really trying to date in college. Yet, you still had needs. You figured one night stands would end up being your best option, but each guy left you more disappointed than the one before.
Big mistake in confiding in Wooyoung. Word quickly spread to Yeosang, who offered himself to help with your situation.
At first, you thought he was just mocking you. Sure, you could resort to masturbation or buying sex toys, but you loved the feeling of someone's body on yours. You craved the feeling of wandering hands on your skin, causing the goosebumps to rise and your heart to race with excitement. You even wanted to spend minutes rushing to cover up hickies before going to lectures.
You just had no idea how happy Yeosang was to help you out.
It started by hooking up when you were the most stressed - two days before exam day. You would spend the week trying to study as much as possible. Yet, Yeosang always noticed the way you would increasingly hunch over the table. It was as if you were being consumed by the stress and sex was the only remedy.
Soon, once a week became twice a week. You'd hit up Yeosang late at night, often when you were feeling the most lonely. And every time, Yeosang was wide awake and waiting for you with open arms. He would either make sweet love to you, reminding you of how cherished you are, or he would be willing to fuck you into his mattress.
Now, twice a week was almost every other night. You were over at Yeosang's more than you were at your own apartment. There even was a toothbrush waiting for you in his bedroom.
As seniors in college, things were starting to shift for you.
"Surprised you are up, darlin.'"
You jumped slightly at the sound of the deep voice behind you. He snickered before moving to wrap an arm around you, pulling you in closer to him. "Not like you to be up this early," he murmured. You felt yourself shiver, your heart racing, as he placed a kiss on the back of your neck.
The Yoesang campus knew would have never guessed he used pet names the way he just casually dropped them with you. If anything, they were probably convinced he had a stone-cold heart as he rarely showed emotion to others. The only time he seemed happy was if he was with his usual group.
But if you saw him walking alone through campus? His gaze was locked in front of him. He never smiled at people he passed, so people often avoided him.
"I'm also not the type of person to drink that much tequila," you sighed. Your face was moving to burrow into the pillow beneath you, which only made Yeosang laugh more.
Deep down, you knew you couldn't get tired of Yeosang. The physical chemistry between the two of you was undeniable. He also has become such a pivotal part of your life, as someone you confided in. He saw you truly at your lowest and highest.
I guess that is what made it easy to fall for him. The way he treated you made you feel like a princess. You couldn't help but wonder if there was something more than just friends with benefits.
As your dating life hit obstacles, Yeosang was quick to remind you of your worth. He would take you out into the city, treating you to dinner or attending events with you. He was also rather affectionate with you, a quickly you didn't see often even with his closest friends. He seemed a bit standoffish to the rest of the world. Yet, with you, you were the one that seemed to crack the code of who was Kang Yeosang.
There was no way you would dare to open up that conversation. For the most part, you were content with just being friends with benefits. Emphasis on the friends part. He was too important in your life just to allow the rush of butterflies to override your brain. Part of you was convinced that you only felt this way about Yeosang was because you had been single for some time now, and Yeosang offered everything that you wanted in a partner.
You only seemed to allow yourself to play into that fantasy when you were alone in your bedroom. Often, with your fingertips playing with your clit as you would close your eyes to think what it would be like to be Kang Yeosang's girlfriend.
"I think I'm going to hop in the shower. Care to join me for round 2?" "As much as I'd love that, I think I need to get something in my stomach." "Yeah, of course. Why don't you let me shower up real quick and we'll figure out where to go, ok?"
Just another reason why you adored Yeosang. He never pressured you to have sex with him, even though you often felt things were one-sided between the two of you. It was always you messaging him first, always you who orgasmed first. Sometimes, you wished Yeosang would be selfish and ask for you to come over.
As Yeosang slipped into his bedroom, you took the time to slip on one of Yeosang's shirt. He never seemed to mind, as you often left his place wearing one of his shirts. You were positive three or four had claimed refuge in your dresser. Before you ventured downstairs, you also made sure to slip on a pair of clean boxers from Yeosang's own dresser.
Hearing the shower head turn on, you slipped downstairs. You heard a slight commotion from downstairs. But you didn't need to see to already know the rest of the house was up and active.
"And look who it is. Mrs. Kang, nice of you to show your face instead of just hearing you," Mingi called out with a playful smirk.
The rest of the boys were crowded around the kitchen island, eating cereal except for San. He had his back turned towards you and the rest of the group. They were all snickering at Mingi's comment but quickly stopped when you smacked the back of Mingi's head.
"Where is the boyfriend anyways? Still asleep?" Yunho asked. "First of all, he is not my boyfriend. Second, could it kill any of you to make coffee?" You playfully whined. "Already on it, chief," San called out.
He stepped to reveal the glorious sight coffee being brewed in the coffee pot. You could just kiss San right now! "At least I can always depend on you, San," you said playfully.
All the boys were special to you, all thanks to Yeosang. They easily became like brothers of your own, having a special place in your heart. You kissed San's cheek gently before going to retrieve two coffee mugs for you, San, and Yeosang who would eventually appear.
"Don't let Yeosang see you. He might get jealous," Wooyoung laughed. "Unless that's her aim. You know, jealousy sex is the best especially when your boyfriend thinks you're into one of his friends." "And how would you know?" San asked, an eyebrow raised. "Your room isn't next to theirs." Your cheeks were flushed bright red. Maybe you should have stuck it out in the shower with Yeosang. You'd be safe from the ridicule and probably on your second orgasm by now.
"Yeosang isn't my boyfriend," you sighed. "Really? But that's the contact name he has saved for you in his phone."
The room suddenly got dead silent. All eyes were shifted to Wooyoung who was staring at your like a deer caught in headlights. You were staring forward, facing the cabinets before slowing turning around. Your heart had dropped to your stomach yet picked up again, both with curiosity and excitement.
Okay, maybe you were really into Yeosang.
"What did you say?" You voice was softer. "You know, I don't really know what I'm talking about. It could have been anyone." "Wooyoung!" Yunho hissed. "Shut the fuck up."
Your heart broke again, but this time shattered into pieces. That could also be true. You and Yeosang hadn't quite put a label on the two of you. It just seemed to be a mutual understanding that you were best friends who occasionally had sex. Friends with benefits. That was it, right?
Technically, he was free to see anyone else. At any point, your little scenario could come to an end when one of you finds a significant other. it was something you had acknowledged, but something you hadn't put much thought into.
You chewed on your bottom lip, as your heart and mind were arguing with each other. You hadn't even noticed your eyes were becoming glossy at the thought that Yeosang might be into someone that wasn't you. San's hand on your shoulder brought you back to reality.
"Y/n? Are you ok?"
It was then you became hyperaware that all eyes were on you. Wooyoung looked apologetically, as they were all concerned for you.
"You know, I forgot I promised to study today with a few friends. I'll catch you guys later."
Before any of them could stop you, you began rushing upstairs to Yeosang's room. Luckily, the shower was still running so you could make your great escape. You slipped on your sweatpants and jacket, gathering all your belongings into your purse.
The shower suddenly stopped. Fuck.
You bolted out of the room just as the door was opening from the bathroom, light and steam escaping into the hallway. You had made it halfway down the staircase when Yeosang seemed to call out to you. But you didn't have the guts to turn back around. Not when you felt like you couldn't breathe.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You just ran out of there?!" Hongjoong asked.
You groaned as out loud as you could, not too loud though as you didn't want to draw attention to yourself. After running out, you tried distracting yourself around your apartment but it was no use. This called for an emergency meeting with your best friend, Kim Hongjoong.
Hongjoong was a sophomore when you met him as a freshman. He kindly held your hair when you were throwing up at his house party, and you've been joined at the hip since. Hongjoong was attending grad school much to your benefit. He was still available for 911 Boy Trouble calls.
Tonight, you therapy session was over a pitcher of cocktails at your local college bar. Hongjoong knew all about Yeosang, as he too thought you two were together.
"What else was I supposed to do? Wooyoung blurted that apparently I'm Yeosang's girlfriend without him even saying so? And then brought up the fact that it might've been someone else? They had a front row view to me falling apart." "Remind me to smack some sense into Wooyoung." "I think Yunho already beat you to that one," you laughed softly. "Have you talked to Yeosang since?"
You shook your head, staring down into the pitcher of your drink. Your local college bar was known for these pitchers, putting gummies in them for an extra treat. You were staring down basically into a swimming pool of gummy worms and sweet alcohol.
Yeosang has been trying to call you all day today, probably confused why you got up and ran out. it was very unlike you, especially not to tell him your whereabouts. You were sure his roommates were filling him in though about what went down in the kitchen. The last thing you wanted was to confess why exactly you ran out of the apartment.
Hongjoong didn't say anything at first. And it was starting to scare you. Did he also know something you didn't? You peered up to see Hongjoong almost staring through you. You raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what was going on. It became clear that he was looking behind you, which naturally made you turn around.
Once again, you felt your heart shatter. You didn't want to become accustomed to this feeling, but it was getting worse each time.
There were Yeosang, San, and Mingi. Wooyoung and Yunho had found themselves at the bar, probably ordering for the group. Normally, you would have been elated to see the group and probably would have gone over. That is, if there wasn't a girl sandwiched between Yeosang and San.
Who was she? Was she with Yeosang or San? Was this the alleged girlfriend Wooyoung actually was referring to?
"Y/n, don't even bother," Hongjoong began.
Quickly turning back around, you downed your drink. Hongjoong's eyes widened as he watched you, still halfway through his first one. He's seen you drink before, but not that quickly.
This evening was definitely taking a turn.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Y/n, come on. We're going home," Hongjoong announced.
He was trying his best to sound stern with you, but he was honestly concerned about you. He has never seen this bad before. He's never seen anyone drink 5 pitchers without splitting them with someone. It was as if you were trying to prove to yourself you could live a life without Yeosang in it.
"Nooooo," you whined out. "Just one more, Joongie, please." "Absolutely not. We are going home."
He was trying his best to get you outside, so he could order an Uber for the two of you. Hongjoong had a few drinks, trying to keep up with you, but still sober enough to know getting behind the wheel was the worse thing for the two of you. All he wanted was to get you in your apartment, get some water in your system, and tuck you into bed.
Hongjoong was trying to keep you stable, as you were swaying back and forth. You made numerous attempts to go up to the bar to order for yourself, but the bartender refused. You then had tried getting Hongjoong to buy you another drink, but he had already bought 5 out of your 6 rounds. It was time to call quits.
"Look, I know you're upset, y/n, sweetheart. But this isn't going to help you. You're going to have a massive headache in the morning and be even more upset." "But I want to stay."
People were staring at you. Of course, there were tales of people getting too crazy at the bar. You just never thought you would be one of those people.
"Hongjoong, you heard her." A voice announced from the two of you. "She doesn't want to leave."
Looking over your shoulder, you scoffed to see it was Yeosang standing behind you. His friends including the mystery girl, and everyone at the bar, were watching the three of you. Your hands were resting on Hongjoong's arms, so you wouldn't go slipping onto the floor since your legs were wobbly.
"Maybe you can talk some sense into her?" Hongjoong reasoned.
Getting a look at you, Yeosang then realized that Hongjoong was just trying to do the right thing. Your skin was pale from all the alcohol and lack of food you consumed. Your eyes were glazed over, as you tried your best to maintain eye contact. You did need to go home.
"Sweet girl, he's right. You need to go home." "And why should I?" you slurred. "Just to have sex with you again and have you drop me?" "You know I'd never do that to you," he responded, his voice stern.
Yeosang glanced between you and Hongjoong, nodding. He extended his arms, knowing you couldn't walk on your own but offering for Hongjoong to pass you off to him. Slowly, Hongjoong brought you into Yeosang's arms.
Once he had you in his arms, he made sure one arm was wrapped around you to support you up. He flexed his arms just for the support and to pull you in close to him. His other hand had cupped your cheek, causing you to look up at him slowly. He offered a gentle smile to which made you still feel all warm and tingly despite the amount of times you wanted to cry over him today. Damn him.
"Come on, angel. We are going to go home, ok?"
There were murmurs around the two of you. Surprised to see Yeosang show an ounce of kindness.
"Is the Uber already ordered?" Hongjoong shook his head but did pull out his phone. "No, I was going to wait until we got outside. I thought the cool air might help her, but I can order it for the two of you. Just text me when you get her home?"
Yeosang thanked quickly before helping you out of the bar. He could care less about his reputation of being a lone wolf, someone not to be messed with, dissolved just by his actions. All that mattered was getting you home.
Luckily, the Uber was right around the corner. Perks of going to a university in a major city. Yeosang held you up right still. His hand now tucking strands of his hair behind your ear as he looked at you softly yet with so much concern. God, it felt like your heart was going to combust.
"What's going on, sweetheart? You have been hard to reach all day, and now you don't tell me when you plan on drinking? You know I like to be in the same room just to make sure you're okay." "And interrupt your date? No thanks," you huffed. "Date? You think San is my type?"
Your eyes narrowed in on him, and he realized it was no joking matter. His hand came back to cup your cheek, keeping your eyes locked on his. He desperately wanted to figure out what was troubling your mind.
"Yeosang, I saw you. You were on a date with some girl. Wooyoung also said you had a girlfriend. I thought I was more than a side piece to you!"
Before Yeosang could answer, the Uber pulled up. He rolled down the window, asking if it was for Hongjoong for which Yeosang just played along. He definitely owed your friend for this favor.
The Uber driver unlocked the backdoor, allowing Yeosang to open it. He helped you in, making sure you didn't knock your knees against the back of the passenger seat or fall over. He then leaned over to buckle you in. You were his priority.
"Y/n, I can promise you that she is not my girlfriend," he whispered.
Once again, you scoffed at him. How stupid did he think you were? That just because you had a bit to drink that you'd believe every word he said? Your arms crossed over your chest, turning away from him. Yeosang couldn't help but smirk and snicker at you. He never realized how adorable you could get when you were frustrated especially at him.
Not wanting to keep the driver waiting, Yeosang quickly jogged around to the opposite side of the car. Just where you were looking at. You groaned as his eyes met yours once the door was open and he slid in.
Great.
Yeosang buckled up, so that the driver wouldn't get annoyed with you two. Plus, the quicker you could get home, the sooner you could be put to bed.
"Y/n, I mean it. That is not my girlfriend. She's one of Yunho's friends. He is actually trying to set her up with San." "Then why were you sitting beside her?"
He chuckled as he noticed you were jealous on top of being drunk. Interesting. Yeosang leaned in gently to press a kiss to your cheek, moving his lips to whisper into your ear.
"Just didn't want to make her feel trapped with San. I didn't want to put her in the corner where she was stuck with San. I could easily get up if she wanted to leave," he explained. "Better question though, my dear, is are you jealous?"
Your eyes widened and jaw dropped. You were trying to rack through all the excuses you could come up with, but your drunk mind was failing you. Everyone knew you to be quick on your feet. Not tonight.
"And what if I am?" You asked softly. "I like knowing you are jealous and protective of me," he smirked. "I mean, if anyone is my girlfriend, it would be you."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your eyes fluttered once again, just like yesterday. Immediately, you groaned as there was a sharp headache. The brightness in your bedroom didn't help either.
"Good morning, sweet girl."
It was then your eyes shot open. What? You looked over beside you to see Yeosang, shirtless, in your bed. You looked down to see you had gotten changed out of the black tube top and ripped jeans into an oversized shirt. One of Yeosang's that was stored at your place.
"We didn't-" "Hell no. You're extremely attractive, y/n, but you were so drunk. I didn't want to take disadvantage of you, so you yelled at me, got changed into one of my shirts, and fell asleep. I just moved you so you were more comfortable in bed."
You nodded slowly, chewing on your bottom lip. You yelled at him? "Sorry," you muttered.
"No, it's ok. I kind of deserved it."
What was he talking about now? It was getting exhausting that everyone else seemed to have an idea of what was going on besides you.
"Something about how I'm not honest with you. And that if you were actually my girlfriend, you would actually say it then pretending we just fuck like bunnies." "I mean, it's true," you sighed.
Yeosang nodded understandably. He never met to drag out confessing his feelings for you. Truthfully, Yeosang had never been good at expressing his emotions. He liked the fact that you spent so much time together that a lot of people assumed you were together. He just believed you two were on the same page without needing to communicate it.
"Are labels really that important when I am 100% certain about my feelings for you?"
Now you made full eye contact with him. You were laying on your back as he was propped up on his side, turned towards you. Even after seeing you at your messiest, he still looked at you like you were the rarest gem found.
"Some sort of indicator that you like me like that would have been helpful, Yeosang," you whispered. "Does this help?"
Slowly, he moved to hover above you. His hand slid over to hold your hip, squeezing your hipbone affectionately. The other hand moved to cup your face. There was no doubt in his mind. He leaned in slowly to press his lips against you.
He kissed you with everything in him. All the words unspoken were communicated through that kiss. The force of his lips pushed your head back into the pillow slightly, but you were quick to reciprocate. Your arms wrapped around his neck, fingers running through his hair which caused him to smile into the kiss.
"Call it whatever you want, baby. If you want to be boyfriend and girlfriend, we are. I already know you're all mine, and I don't want to shy away from it anymore," he murmured against your lips.
You pulled back, so you could look into his eyes. This time, he was one nervously biting his lip. Did he say too much? Did he say the wrong thing? Fuck, he's never been this nervous before. "I'm yours and you're all mine," you vowed. "Let's just never let Wooyoung decide our next move before we do." "Deal."

Slowly, your eyes fluttered open to reveal a dark moon. The only source of light came from the moonlight trying to shine through the curtains. You glanced towards the digital clock on your nightstand. 1:17am. You mentally groaned as you didn't want to wake your sleeping fiancé beside you.
Your head turned to see Jun beside you. His bangs fell in front of his face, almost touching his closed eyelids. He looked absolutely peaceful. His chest rose and fell gently, one hand on his chest while the other rested on your leg. He always needed to have his hand on you in some aspect when he slept. You found the habit adorable, especially one that happened when he was unconscious.
You wanted so desperately to lean over to kiss his cheek, but you worried about waking him. Your body screamed for you to move out of bed while your mind wanted so desperately to go back to sleep. There was only one solution.
Ever so slowly, you pushed yourself out of bed to head towards the kitchen. You shivered as your feet touched the cold wooden floor. This time, moving rather quickly, you snatched one of Jun's hoodies that rested on the floor. You slipped that over your body, sighing in relief at being draped in some sort of warmth.
Gathering enough willpower, you began your venture out of your shared bedroom towards the kitchen. You were grateful that Jun stopped by the convenience store on his way home from work to pick up your favorite tea brand. You had just ran out this morning.
Once you arrived in the kitchen, you went over towards the cabinet. Your footsteps were extremely light, emphasizing your groggy state but also trying to do whatever it takes to allow Jun to sleep soundly. You opened the overheard cabinet slowly, breathing in sharply through your teeth as they screeched slightly. Fuck.
You paused to ensure that there was no movement coming from upstairs. Just because you were up didn't mean you had to disturb your lover.
When you didn't hear a sound, you continued on with your mission. You grabbed your favorite white mug, being careful not to hit it against the other mugs as you pulled it out. You then closed the cabinet, trying your hardest not to make it screech again. If there was something about you and Jun, you always had enough mugs to serve everyone who might come over.
Over the past few months of living with Jun, you've become skillful at stopping the tea kettle before it blows its whistle. Yet, before you could even think of filling the tea kettle with water, you felt arms wrap around your waist from behind. You gasped softly but relaxed as you felt the familiar fingers rubbing against your stomach.
"You really going to just make tea for yourself?" a voice questioned behind you.
Jun's sleepy voice always sets your heart ablaze. He sounded so relaxed, as his voice was deeper and his speech a bit slower. It also was dreamy as he often whispered sweet nothings into your ear to help you fall asleep.
And when he starts caressing your body? He had you right where he wanted you, wrapped around his finger. But if you were to ask anyone, he was wrapped around yours.
Slowly, you turned in Jun's arms. He was smiling down at you gently. His gaze alone made you weak in the knees. Jun was staring at you as if you were his whole world. You are.
"I was trying not to wake you, my love. I know how many late nights you've been pulling lately. You honestly looked too peaceful." "Funny because I lost all peace of mind when I felt you slide out of bed."
Your eyes widened as you mumbled a quick "sorry." You really thought you had gotten away this time! You looked away, your cheeks red. Jun easily caught your attention again when you felt him squeeze your hips. He offered that soft smile of his.
Words didn't need to be exchanged between the two of you. You knew he wasn't mad, but still didn't like the fact you were the cause of his loss of sleep. Yet, his gaze and hold on you told you differently. It wasn't worth an argument especially at this late hour.
"Let me get that for you, darling."
His lips pressed against the crown of your head as he slowly detached himself from you. Already, you missed his touch. He maneuvered around you, so he could go ahead and fill up the kettle for the two of you. You went to retrieve another mug.
The faucet was running but quickly shut off. It didn't take you long until you heard some rustling behind you. Jun's footsteps were light, almost untraceable. The only indicator he was even in the same room as you was the sound of the metal of the stove grate meeting the bottom of the tea kettle seemed to echo throughout the content.
Tick tick tick
Jun's hand moved the knob to start your gas stove. He smiled a bit wider to see the flame flicker and stay on underneath the tea kettle. Soon, you two would be warmed by the tea as he hoped it would help you back to slumber. The moment you moved from bet, he became aware of the world around him. There was no way that he could have rested knowing you were up.
"Do you want to sit at the kitch-" you started but quickly closed your mouth. Instead, a wide grin overtook your lips.
Your body fully turned around from the cabinets to where Jun was standing in front of you. At the moment, Jun was standing in front of you with an inviting smile. His hand extending out to you.
It was no secret Jun was a phenomenal dancer. While you loved watching him light up the stage, you also loved these more intimate moments. One of your nighttime routines happened to be dancing in each other's arms. It was a way to show affection to one another.
Without words exchanged, you slipped your hand in between his. He squeezed your hand affectionately before pulling you in closer. Gently, he pulled you in close to him, so he could rest one hand on your lower back. His other hand moved to rest on your side. This freed your hands to wrap around his neck and play with the long strands of hair.
He started the two of you in a slow sway. You pressed tiny kisses against the side of his face. You could feel him smile as well as his skin heat up from the displays of affection. It wasn't that he was embarrassed. He was still getting used to the idea of someone wanting to be that openly affectionate with him.
To show his gratitude, his hand squeezed your hip affectionately. You couldn't fight the smile into the kisses you pressed into the skin.
You slowly pulled your face away from his, so you could rest your head on his chest. It brought a wider smile on your lips to feel his body heat against your body. You couldn't help but giggle slightly as you heard how fast his heart was racing. He was so precious to you.
"Luckiest man," he whispered. His hand gently pushed you closer, eliminating any space between the two of you. There was no way he was going to let you slip away now.
Not even the sound of the kettle blowing its whistle. Keeping you close, he removed the hand from your side to turn the stove off. The water could always be reheated, no doubt. However, he was never going to let a precious moment like this pass him by.
As the whistle died down with the flame shut off, his hand found its way to rest on the back of your head. He cradled you close to him as you continued to dance in the kitchen. All the lights were off besides the overhead light on the stove.
It created an intimate setting for the two of you. Honestly though, you could be anywhere with Wen Junhui and it would feel like a fairytale.
Butterflies - Choi Beomgyu

"What are you doing?" Taehyun asked, peering over Beomgyu's shoulder. Quickly, Beomgyu covered this notebook from the peering eyes of his best friend.
"N-Nothing," Beomgyu quickly responded. "Bullshit! Let me see."
Taehyun tried his best to reach for the pile of papers but Beomgyu did a good job at playing defense. If only he noticed Kai by his side who was able to snatch the notebook from underneath him.
"Hey! Give it back," Beomgyu whined.
He was about to pop up and chase after Beomgyu, but Kai already began reading out-loud the written words. Kai's voice called to attention Yeonjun and Soobin, who soon found themselves wondering over towards the living room. Beomgyu just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide.
"Oh, does our little Beomgyu have a crush?" Yeonjun teased. He approached his younger friend and ruffled his hair playfully.
Beomgyu was quick to swat his hand away before glaring. Yeonjun quickly took a step back, putting his hands up in surrender.
"So what if I do? What's the big deal?" Beomgyu muttered. If only the couch could swallow him whole at this moment. "It's not like anything is going to even happen anyways."
The other four boys all looked towards their friend. Their eyes were wide. Soobin was definitely questioning if he had heard Beomgyu correctly. Taehyun, his closest friend out of the group, took a seat next to him on the couch. Yeonjun had taken a seat to his other side as Soobin and Kai placed themselves in front of Beomgyu.
They had never encountered this side of Beomgyu before. He was always the friend that offered advice when one of the other guys needed advice, especially when it came on how to approach someone they were interested in. So to hear that he had his own self doubt was a bit alarming.
In reality, it was easy for Beomgyu to give advice to his friends. At his core, he was somewhat of a hopeless romantic. He loved watching romance novels, for the plot he claimed, but also because it gave him hope of one day meeting a girl that makes him feel like the main character. He loved the cliches in songs and poems. Beomgyu often took the lessons he learned from film and other forms of media in order to help friends sort through their dilemmas.
He had just never experienced a love that powerful before. Sure, he might have had a crush here and there, but he never took them seriously before. They would normally fade after a week or so.
This time was different.
"Gyu, what are you talking about? Why would you think that?" "Because I know nothing will happen! She's far too good for someone like me."
Kai and Yeonjun looked at each other with concern. What was going on in their friend's mind? How could he not see how amazing he was, both as a friend and as a partner for someone? Soobin looked at Taehyun, letting him take the lead to ease Beomgyu's concern. If Beomgyu had to listen to someone, it would be Taehyun. "Is this about y/n?" He asked outright. "Why would this have anything to do with her?!" Beomgyu was both impressed by his best friend's sleuthing skills but also terrified that his crush had been outed so easily. All the guys knew of you. You were constantly working with Beomgyu on class assignments, but they didn't know much about you other than that. Now, it was starting to come together. "I'm going to take that as a yes," Taehyun chuckled lightly.
All Beomgyu could do as a response was throw his head against the back of the couch and let out a loud groan in frustration. It was then the concern on his friends' faces turned into smirks as they watched how red Beomgyu had turned in a matter of seconds. "Wait," Yeonjun called out. "Is y/n the one who works at the coffee shop?" "No, she is the one that Gyu is always meeting up with at the coffee shop," Kai proudly proclaimed. "So she's the one that he sits beside in their Poetry class?"
"Do we have to keep talking about her?" Beomgyu asked, a slight whine in his voice. His friend group was notorious for teasing one another, but he prayed this one time that they might spare him.
"Yes," the other four said in unison which caused Beomgyu to groan again. "Or at least we can conceive some sort of plan to help you," Taehyun offered.
This finally peaked Beomgyu's interest. Slowly, Beomgyu sat up correctly with his arms crossed over his chest. "I'm listening," he muttered. He would be lying if he said his stomach wasn't filled with butterflies at the thought of getting an inch closer to breaking the barrier from friends to lovers.
"Here's what is going to happen," Taehyun began.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything was set into place. There is no way Beomgyu could mess this up. But to make sure it all went according to plan, the four others had situated themselves at the opposite end of the cafe. To everyone, it looked like they were just four studious guys trying to finish their degrees.
Yet, Beomgyu couldn't help but look over his shoulder to make sure they weren't being too obvious. It didn't help when he made eye contact with them, they all shot him a thumbs-up. I hate them.
You weren't a predictable person. You had your moments were you craved to be around other people, surrounded by loud noises and flashing lights. He knew Fridays would be a guarantee of catching you out of frat row. But he didn't want to make a move where you might forget about it.
There were times though during the week you'd like to retreat to your dorm and ignore the world. You valued your alone time, which shocked him as he got to know you. There was hardly ever a time you said no to someone. Unless you had a study or a paper due.
The one consistency in your life was your love for an iced coffee and blueberry muffin. It was something that helped motivate you to study, but also something that could heal your soul.
Today was one of those days where you could use a little tender, love and care.
To be fair, Beomgyu hated Taehyun's plan. It involved you getting let down. You were such a considerate person, so Beomgyu hated anytime you felt betrayed. Yet, he knew Taehyun wasn't doing this maliciously. It was supposed to be an opportunity for Beomgyu to swoop in as if being your knight in shining armor. Still. Beomgyu hated the fucking plan.
Taehyun had texted you saying you wanted to do something special for Beomgyu's birthday next month. Of course, you said yes. You knew all the guys, and would do anything for any one of them. Especially Beomgyu. He had become such a prominent role in your life that you actually felt honored that to be included in the planning of his special day. Taehyun then said he would meet you at the coffee shop at 6:30pm, after his evening lecture.
However, he sent you a text at 6:31 saying that he had planned everything already so there was no need to meet up. Truthfully, you loved getting the opportunity to make someone's day special, whether it be a big or small occasion. You felt hurt that not only did Taehyun take full control, but that he decided to cancel last minute. What was the point in texting you in the first place then if he was just going to turn around and do it all on his own?
Cue Beomgyu.
I hate you, Taehyun.
His heart was shattering as he saw the sight of you. Your head was down as you seemed to be focused on writing down either notes or even poetry lines, a habit you picked up from the class. He could still tell you were upset by the way you were hunched over.
The coffee shop you two frequented never announced customer names, just their orders. Your stomach grumbled when you heard someone had ordered your usual. Lucky bastard.
You would write a few words in your notebook, but then quickly cross it out in black ink. Nothing was working out, nothing made sense.
"Maybe this could help?"
The voice that spoke out to you caused your heart to race. Could I just be hearing things? You looked up slowly, not wanting to get your hopes up too much. Yet, you couldn't deny the smile that curled onto your face.
Beomgyu stood in front of you, one coffee cup close to him but the other gently being placed in front of you. "BVC" was written on the cup, a blueberry vanilla chai. The order previously called out made you seethe with slight jealousy. You had no idea Beomgyu would even be here.
"My knight in shining armor!"
Beomgyu chuckled as he went to shrug off his jacket. He placed it on the back of the chair in front of you. It made you smile a bit wider, cheeks beginning to ache, as you realized he was actually staying.
However, what took you by surprise was the way he didn't pull back the black metal chair. Instead, he slid in next to you in the booth portion of the table. Your eyes widened slightly, a pink hue coating your cheeks. No matter how hard you wanted to conceal it, Beomgyu noticed and boy, did it make his ego soar. There were always murmurs, mainly from the four guys, that you could like him. He always denied it, but the slight confidence was now making him lean into the theory.
"How did you even know I would be here?" You asked softly. "Please, y/n. This is your favorite place to go after classes, especially when it has been raining off and on all day. You aren't ready to go home quite yet because you are a cliche who loves rainy days. You wanted to be somewhere you could get work done but also get lost watching the rain."
It was a lie. A little white lie. Maybe one day he would confess to the crime he was committing, but right now, he just couldn't get over the shimmer in your arms. Did he actually make you that happy.
You couldn't confide the truth in Beomgyu why you were here. Not when his surprise birthday party was on the line. All you could do for now was nod your head in confirmation.
"Well, it's definitely better now that you are here." "Oh really? Tell me, sweet girl. How can I make this evening even better? Or is having me right where you want me enough?"
The pep talk from Yeonjun was paying off. The words were falling off of Beomgyu's lips with ease now.
You were staring at him at shock. This wasn't the Beomgyu you knew. The guy who could trip either over his words long forgotten. This was a new man who knew his next response before you could say anything.
There was no doubt that you had feelings for Beomgyu. He made you feel the cliche butterflies you read about in romance novels. He gave you hope that maybe the authors weren't just exaggerating when they described love as making you warm and fuzzy because Beomgyu made you feel that way daily.
Yet, he was your best friend. You never wanted to jeopardize that by the rush of emotions you felt. To be honest, you were confessed at first the only reason why you thought of Beomgyu romantically was because he was the first guy to give you validation rather than just attention. He treated you kindly without expecting something in return. Unless you ate his last snack. You thought it was something you'd grow over time.
However, here you two were. You were sitting in the booth, staring at each other. The music, the conversations of people around you faded out. All you could hear was your own heartbeat in your ears.
The only thing that brought you back to reality was the feeling of his arm wrapping around your shoulders. His free hand resting on the table, but fingertips strategically placed close enough to brush yours. Does he fucking know I like him?
"Because let's be honest here. We both have been trip-toeing around the idea of us. I don't know about you, y/n, but I'm tired. I want to play a different game."
Your head tilted slightly, confused what he could mean by game. Beomgyu honestly was a intriguing man, so you naturally were inclined to learn more.
"I'm tired of competing with other guys to try to get you to see I could be the one for you. I want to be the only one. Why don't you give me a chance to prove it to you, once and for all?" "And you think a blueberry vanilla chai could win me over just like that?"
Now it was Beomgyu's turn to become fluster. His eyes widened as he retreated a bit, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. Was he being too presumptious? Did he say too much?
There was the Beomgyu you knew.
Before he could over a rush of apologizes, you giggled. His mouth that was opened quickly closed. Your hand now rested on top of his, squeezing his hands comfortingly.
"There's nothing I would love more, Gyu. Why don't you pick me up for dinner tomorrow night? Something proper because right now, I really don't want to leave our favorite spot."
His arm slightly tightened around you, pulling you in closer. His heart couldn't settle just once as he realized this was actually happening. And that his best friends were actually right for once.
"Sounds like a date," he whispered.
His lips were pressed gently against your forehead, but he quickly pulled back once he heard cheers erupting from the other side of the cafe. His eyes widened as he didn't even have to look over to know what who was behind the interruption.
Yet, you didn't. You raised an eyebrow and glanced over your shoulder, staying close to Beomgyu. His fingers caressed your shoulder, almost as if he was trying to keep himself grounded rather than going over to yell at his four friends.
His four friends who were right all along, and were celebrating their victory by whistling and clapping for the two of you. Which caused everyone else at the cafe to look over in direction.
You blushed again, not expecting all the attention. Your face buried into Beomgyu's neck as you erupting into a fit of giggles. He couldn't help but chuckle as he looked down at you endearingly.
Thanks, guys. Seriously.

You held onto Seokmin's arms as you walked through the front door of the apartment building you two lived in. You two recently took the leap in getting an apartment together. All the boxes have been unpacked and all the extra furniture you had to order was put together, thanks to the other guys coming in to chip in. They were almost as excited for the two of you and this new chapter, so they were more than willing to lend a helping hand.
The place finally felt like it was yours. No longer were you trying to sort things and living out of boxes as you adjusted to the new chapter of your lives. Seokmin decided the occasion required a proper celebration. You two went out to eat at a restaurant in your new neighborhood before settling into your new home.
Your heels clicked against the floor of the apartment building's lobby. The sound of you made Seokmin's ego rise. You were his. He just wanted to show you off to everyone.
He led you two over to the elevator, so you could go up to your apartment. He pressed the 'up' button before resting his hand on top of yours which rested on his bicep. You peered up at him, a smile on your lips which made Seokmin smile even brighter. "How did I get so lucky?" He questioned softly. You shrugged which caused him to laugh, placing a gentle kiss at the top of your head.
A ding soon let out, indicating the elevator had arrived. Seokmin stepped back, allowing you in first. You were about to make room for anyone else who might be joining the two of you.
Before anyone could slip in, Seokmin jumped in and clicked the 'close door' button. To his satisfaction, the doors closed behind. He smirked seeing your shocked expression. "Looks like it is just the two of us."
You couldn't help but giggle as you felt a rush of adrenaline take over your body. He walked up to you as the elevator began to travel up. Your back was pressed against the wall of the elevator. Seokmin was standing right in front of you. One of his hand moved to rest right by your head, the other moving to hold your hip. He pressed his forehead against yours as he gazed into your eyes. You could practically melt underneath his gaze. And he loved having that effect on you.
"I've been waiting to get you alone since the moment you walked out in that little black dress." "Then what are you waiting for?"
He quirked an eyebrow, looking down at you. Seokmin never took you to be the type of woman into public play. You just composed yourself with such grace. He loved discovering new sides of you.
Keeping his posture, so he hovered over you, he removed the hand resting against the wall of the elevator. He moved it in between your bodies, gently running his fingertips across your exposed thighs. Naturally, you parted your legs for him, inviting him to do as he pleased. Seokmin groaned at the sight.
With the green light you gave him, his fingers slid underneath your dress. His fingers were expecting to brush against the material of your panties, but he was instantly in contact with your warm, wet pussy. He groaned louder this time, pressing his lips into the side of your face in appreciation. "You really know the way into my heart, sweet girl. Risky to go without panties tonight, especially out to that fancy restaurant, but god. I can't be mad at you."
Your arms wrapped around his neck, holding yourself close to him. You giggled as you buried yourself into his neck. Seokmin didn't waste anytime. His fingers slid into your pussy where he began scissoring your pussy, stretching you out for preparation once he truly gets you alone. The adrenaline of potentially getting caught fueled the both of you. You let out soft whimpers and moans. He pumped his fingers quickly, the sound of skin hitting skin and your wet pussy filling the small interior. It made your cheeks turn bright red as his ego soared.
You heard a small ding in the midst of Seokmin worshipping your pussy. Seokmin gently removed his fingers from your pussy despite your disapproval. Yet, you ended up being grateful when you saw the elevator doors open to reveal someone stepping in.
Seeing that you were on your floor, Seokmin grabbed your hand with his free one. He nodded politely at the gentleman who was seeking to head down to the lobby while you two slipped out. You could have sworn the guy could smell your wet pussy from the way his nose scrunched up. Your cheeks turned bright red.
However, they felt hotter when you looked in front of you to see Seokmin stuck his hand, the one coated in your pussy juices, in his mouth. If he had things his way, he would show off his hand to the world of how quickly he can make you crumble. But you were his, only for his eyes.
For now, he would just savor the taste of your sweet pussy.
You squeezed his hand affectionately, letting your free hand rest on his bicep. There was nothing you took more pride in than being Lee Seokmin's girl. And he was just as prideful to be yours. "Okay, angel, I think it's time to really make this place ours. What do you say?" The tone of his voice sent shivers down your spine. He spoke so gently yet with so much passion behind his words. He knew all the right ways to make you feel weak in the best way.
All you could do was nod your head, pressing a lingering kiss to his sharp jawline. Seokmin smirked as he used his hand not holding yours to pull out his keys.
Once the door was pushed open, you felt Seokmin scooped you up in your arms. You let out a squeal as your own are wrapped around Seokmin's neck. He chuckled at your reaction before walking in, his eyes never leaving yours and kicking the door closed with his foot.
"Sweetheart," he called out. His voice made your stomach feel all warm and tingly. "Can you reach and lock the door for me? Kind of got my hands full."
You couldn't help but giggle but nodded your head. One of your arms stayed around his neck, playing with the hairs at the back of his head. Your free arm moved down to lock the bottom and top lock of your unit door.
Living with Seokmin has always been something you dreamed of. While, of course, you love spending time at the dorms and you were sure that you wouldn't stop going over, you really were excited for this new chapter. You adored all of the members, but it was nice that you could now be intimate with your boyfriend without worry of being interrupted.
"Where should I start with you? Hmm? Should I get a taste of your pussy? We did skip out on dessert," Seokmin began. "Or do you want my cock to pound into you until you see the stars?"
You looked up at Seokmin as if he were made out of stars himself. Seokmin was carrying you into your new bedroom. You at first were eager to cuddle up next to him, to be wrapped up in his arms and be able to enjoy some peace and quiet.
Now, there was nothing more you wanted than to have the two of you moaning. What a great way to introduce yourself to your new neighbors.
"I think what I really want is to feel so close to you, to feel your cock stretching me out and screaming your name." "Damn right. You're going to scream my name so loud everyone in this building knows you're my girl, my pretty little slut. That's what you want, right?"
You shivered at the thought before nodding in response. You felt so small, so submissive even just underneath his gaze. And you wouldn't want it any other way.
Seokmin dropped you onto the bed, but made sure you landed safely. The dress you were wearing moved up towards your upper thigh, almost exposing all of you to him. As much as he wanted you right then and there, he also wanted to take your time with you.
"Get comfortable, darlin'. You've got a long night ahead of you."
Quickly, you leaned up slightly to slip the dress off of body. You were grateful that it was a rather easy dress to take on and off. Feeling the cool air of the room, your nipples easily hardened. There was no way you and Seokmin were in the mood to wait any longer. You squeezed your legs together in anticipation.
Seokmin also got busy unbuttoning the tops of his shirt. You were nearly drooling at the sight of his own bare chest becoming more exposed to you. It was as if he was crafted by the gods, and somehow, he was all yours.
"As much as I loved feeling your pussy earlier, I want a real taste. Is that okay with you, angel? Do you want my tongue to run up and down your pussy until you're squirming?" "Please, baby. Just do something to me," you whined out.
He cooed slightly at the desperate tone in your voice. He leaned forward to kiss a line of kisses starting from the valley of your breasts. In response, your fingers ran through his hair and gripped it gently. He hummed in satisfaction as his lips moved down your torso towards your pelvic bone.
Slowly, Seokmin sunk onto his knees in front of you. You propped yourself on your elbows as he increasingly became out of reach, not wanting to lose sight of him. His hands rested on your thighs. He looked up at you, winking.
Without having to be asked, you spread your legs for you. Seokmin let out a throaty groan, appreciating how your body reacted to him. He felt his cock twitch in his pants at the sight of how wet you were. You were literally glistening.
"So beautiful," he whispered. His lips this time leaned forward to press along your right inner thigh and trailed towards where you craved him most. You could feel his breath against your skin, inching towards your pussy, which made you shiver with excitement.
"Be patient, darlin. I'm not going anywhere." "I just can't help it, baby. I love how good you make me feel," you whimpered.
Seokmin's ego grew from your statement. To show his appreciation, he let his tongue flatten immediately against your pussy. No more teasing. Not when you were being such a good girl for him already.
You gasped at the feeling, moving to allow your legs to rest on his shoulders from his crotched position. Seokmin smirked against you, allowing his tongue to trail from the bottom of your pussy all the way to your clit. Sensing the way your breathing hitched and back arched, he knew your clit was your weakest spot.
He adored the way your back arched with ease, how your head rolled back against the pillows at the head out the bed. He could feel your leg muscles flexing slightly as the pleasure was running through your body. Seokmin wanted to be the only one who made you feel this way.
You've always been the one to look after Seokmin before yourself. Whether it was to cook him a warm dinner or greet him with kisses, you always made sure he was taken care of in some regard. It was why you typically offered to give him oral before he could offer.
Not tonight. Tonight was going to be all about you and this new chapter you. There was never going to be a day where you felt like this relationship was one-sided, not when you two were living under the same roof now. His love for you would always be evident, whether it be through little things he does for you or to you.
His tongue circled your clit, pushing the bundle of nerves around in his mouth. He let out a groan which sent vibrations throughout your entire body, causing you to whimper loudly. Music to his ears. One of his hands resting on your thigh, squeezing the plush skin affectionately. His other hand moved to hold your hips down, keeping you in place.
His tongue then began to move down to slip into your pussy. It only made him groan more. He was able to get a sweeter taste of you, to feel how warm you were against his tongue. He was addicted to the feeling, truthfully. And if this was how he perishes, he would die a happy man for sure.
"S-Seokmin," you called out to him.
The sight of him nearly made you orgasm right then and there. He peered up at you with those piercing brown eyes. His eyes were blown out with lust. His lips and chin were covered in your juices.
"Yes, my love?" "Can you please make love to me?"
He didn't need to be told twice. He leaned down, however, to place one last kiss on your clit. It caused you to shiver yet he couldn't help but chuckle at your reaction. You were just too damn adorable. Seokmin wasn't sure how someone could be so seductive yet so adorable at the same time.
Before he moved up, he helped ease your legs off his shoulders. Each leg received kisses around your knee and then trailing up to your thigh as he laid them to rest on the comforter. He continued to kiss up your body - around your hips, your stomach, your chest. Seokmin made sure to pay extra attention to your breasts where he kissed, sucked, and bit down where he could. Anywhere to leave marks of his undying love for you.
At the same time, his hands got to work at disregarding the belt around his pants, the buttons of said pants, and his boxers. All had joined your dress on the floor.
Soon, he had crawled his way up so he was hovering over you. You were able to *finally* wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him down to you. His eyes widened in surprise at the sudden movement, but couldn't help but smirk also. Whenever the two of you got intimate, you always just craved physical touch.
Your fingers were getting tangled in his hair, twirling the locks gently. You also couldn't miss the opportunity to plant kisses along the side of his face, which left him feeling a bit flustered. The feeling of your bare chest against his didn't help either as it sent his mind into a whirlwind.
"How did I get so lucky?" He asked softly.
Before you could come up with a witty response, you gasped softly at the feeling of Seokmin's tip against your pussy. Knowing your request, he didn't want to waste any more time. Yet, he also was ready to go at whatever pace was suitable for you.
"I ask myself the same thing every day," you confessed in a hushed tone.
No further words needed to be exchanged. The way you were looking up at him solidified that you felt the same way as he did. You two were made out of the same material, the same soul. You were destined to be with each other.
One of his hands moved down to grasp his cock, ensuring that he was positioning at the right angle so he could slide it with ease. He never wanted to cause you any sort of discomfort. Once satisfied, his hands moved so one propped himself up, the other holing your hand. The gesture was enough to make your heart race yet body melt into the sheets beneath you with ease.
"Ready, angel?" "Please, baby boy."
With the one thrust, the two of you were sent into a chorus of moans. Your hearts were racing with the love, the passion you two had for one another.
He squeezed your hand every now and then, just to remind you that he adored you. To him, sex was just one of the ways he can show his love for you. But at the moment, he also was too consumed by the feeling of your warm pussy hugging his cock.
Seokmin wanted to shower you with praises and remind you of how gorgeous you were in every sense. Instead, groans and moans were leaving his lips without resistance. His hips were maintaining momentum even if his brain was short-circuiting.
He thrusted deep into you, wanting you to feel every vein and the curve of his cock pressing against your walls. You felt so full - both from his love and the feeling of his cock stretching you out. Your head was rolling back against the pillows, whimpering out nonsense as you were overwhelmed by the feeling.
"Yeah? This feel good, angel? Come on, talk to me."
You let out a shaky breath as you were trying to find the right words to say. Words were floating around your mind - amazing, speechless, heavenly. Yet, you couldn't pin them down as the wet sounds of your pussy and skin smacking against skin pounced the walls.
Seokmin chuckled endearingly before he leaned down, pressing kisses along the side of your face. Your eyes fluttered shut as you just let the sensations take over your body.
"You look so pretty like this, y/n, baby," he breathed out. The puff of air and his lips grazing against your skin caused goosebumps to rise on your skin. "With your eyes shut, your chest rising and falling. All because of me. Will always be because of me," he vowed.
Slowly, you fluttered your eyes open to look up at the love of your life. Soft moans were leaving your lips as his cock went deeper, went harder into you. You've never had such a deep connection with someone before.
Your one hand moved to rest on his arm, gripping his bicep. The other hand moved up to tuck the strands of hair that were beginning to lay flat against his forehead due to the sweat. Your fingers gently pushed the straps back, moving through his soft hair until your hand rested on the back of his head. "I'm so in love with you," you breathed out.
Seokmin nearly melted at the gesture and your words. It is no lie that Seokmin was a rather affectionate person, but hearing you say that you didn't love him ut were in love with him? He was putty in your hands. You were his person in this life. And he was convinced that in every universe, you two found your way towards one another.
"I love you today," he began, his thrusts following after his sentence.
"I love you tomorrow." This time, his thrust was a little harder.
"And I'll love you always." This thrust in particular curved right into your g-spot, sending you into a frenzy of whimpers and moans. Your fingernails dug into his biceps which caused him to smirk deeply.
The bed was squeaking slightly, you two were moaning just to each other. Your love for one another was not for show, just for you two which made the room feel so intense. Under his gaze, you turned into a puddle. Literally. You got wetter the more he gazed down at you with his piercing brown eyes.
"I-I don't know how much longer I can last," you confessed. Your stomach was being a fire pit, the band within you getting tighter and tighter. You could burst at any moment.
Seokmin was in the same situation. He was trying his best to delay his own orgasm. He could feel the way his cock twitched erratically within you. But this wasn't just about him. Tonight, this was about you and your relationship.
"I know, sweet girl. Whenever you're ready, I'm right there with you," he promised.
His thrusts Neve slowed down. If anything, they sped up to help you reach your orgasm. If there was one thing about Seokmin, he was determined to give you the very best this life could offer, always providing his best. He would do anything for you.
His cock was driving right into your g-spot continuously. After one particular thrust, you lost it. The band in you snapped and you let out a soft cry in pleasure. Your vision went white, mind went blank - squirting slightly on the bedsheets and on Seokmin's thighs.
That was enough for Seokmin. A low growl ripped through his throat as his hands were planted on your hips, keeping you close to him. He thrusted his hops one more time to ensure all of his cock was buried inside you as hot spurts of his cum painted your walls. His head rolled back slightly as his body relaxed at the feeling of his high.
You breathed out shakily at the feeling of just how full you were. Your body trembling underneath him as you began to come down from your own high. "Seokmin?" you called out softly.
That was enough for Seokmin to be brought down to reality. His eyes landed down on you, seeing the soft gaze on your face. And he knew just what you needed.
"Don't even got to ask, angel," he whispered.
His lips pressed against yours gently as he began to slip out of you. You whimpered softly at the loss of feeling him so close, but soon relaxed as his arms wrapped around you. He pushed back the comforter so he could slip the two of you underneath the warmth of blankets.
Seokmin pulled back just a bit to ensure you were comfortable underneath the sheets. His arms loosely wrapped around you, allowing you to shift as needed to get into a comfortable position. Once you were settled, his arms tightened slightly around you to pull you in closer.
Your head nuzzled into his neck, pressing a gentle kiss. Seokmin was grateful you decided to cuddle up into him, so you didn't witness how his cheeks flushed at the display of affectionate.
"I can't believe I get to end my nights like this now," you whispered. Your voice was softer, your body a bit limp. He knew you were starting to get tired, and he couldn't blame you. You two spent the day unpacking before going out for a dinner date. It's been practically nonstop until this moment.
"I can," Seokmin confessed in a hushed tone. One of his hands rested on your spine, fingertips running up and down slowly. His other hand tucked strands of hair behind your ear. "I always wanted this for us, to have our own space where we can grow and love each other."
Now it was your turn to blush.
Your arms had wrapped around Seokmin's torso, keeping you close to him. Not like he had any plans of letting you go anytime soon. You began to fall asleep to the sound of his soft breathing and his heart beating. It helped that he was also swearing your favorite cologne of his.
"Goodnight, baby," you whispered. "Goodnight, princess. Same time tomorrow?" he asked teasingly.

"This is.. West 4th-Washington Square. Please stand clear of the opening doors."
Your heart was racing, your body practically trembling as you stared forward. Was this actually going to happen?
Ding
Quickly but carefully, you pushed yourself out of the opening of the subway. You didn't want to get trampled by the crowds of people trying to get in. You've learned better to just move as quickly as possible if you want to make it to your destination on time.
You also learned how easily frustrated people get when they are behind someone who either doesn't know where they are going or is just walking slowly.
Last year, you took the leap of faith and moved to New York City. Like many others, you dreamed of moving to this extravagant place to make a name for yourself. You daydreamed of walking the busy streets and having a cute tiny apartment with a skyline view. You sacrificed that latter wish for an in-unit washer and dryer - a real jackpot find!
While you certainly have made friends in the city, you often find yourself frustrated with the dating department. You have been on several first dates, a few that turned into second and third dates. One or two turned into potential relationships.
Yet, it would quickly fizzle out.
At first, you thought that it was something with you. You tried changing how you approach first dates, how you dress for them - anything that you thought you could be doing wrong was thought over meticulously.
"The problem isn't you," your roommate vowed. Your racing mind was settled by the NYC Dating Queen herself. She has been through the wringer with guys throughout the whole city. "You're in your 20s in New York City," she laughed. "Most guys are thinking with their dick first then their brain. Ever notice how many guys are reaching back out, begging for another chance?"
You slowly nodded your head. "Yeah, which is so annoying because by the time they think straight, I've already moved on."
Maybe you were a bit old-fashioned when it came to love. No, you weren't in the market to settle down quite yet. You wanted to meet someone and take things slow, go on dates, and be exclusive before making that big of a commitment. Getting the conversation out of the dating apps was the first milestone you wanted to achieve.
"Good! Don't give them any type of satisfaction. All of these guys are dates from Tinder?" "Yep," you announced, making sure to pop the 'p' before taking a sip out of your wine glass. "So you're also getting the mix of tourist guys who are just horny and wanting to fuck while visiting the city."
You groaned at the realization, your head leaning back against the arm of the couch. How was she always right about this kind of stuff?
"You deserve to meet your prince charming in another way. Clearly, dating apps are not cutting it." "And going up to a guy at the bar scares me," you confessed before fixing your posture.
The two of you were sitting on the couch. It was a snowy night in the city which caused many of your evening plans to get canceled. The two of you were nestled on the couch, watching a movement on HBO Max with a chilled bottle of red wine. Your other roommate managed to escape the apartment to go on a date tonight. Lucky bitch.
"You know how our lovely roommate is out on a date?"
You nodded again as you looked over, an eyebrow raised. Wherew as this going?
"She only got together with him once she deleted the dating apps and tried something different." And the look on your other roommate's face told you she had something planned for you.
That was how you find your way navigating through the busy streets of Manhattan. You had no idea that speed-dating was so popular, or that it could be successful. Your roommate's current relationship gave you hope that meeting someone this authentically could be the solution to your problems.
Tonight, speed-dating was taking place at a bar in Greenwich Village. You've honestly been trying to come grab brunch here as you were drawn to the aesthetics shown off on social media.
It did bring a smile to your face to see the white-painted door surrounded by vines. Three brick steps led up to the front door. It was like a little escape room all the steel and concrete of the city.
Even though you were ecstatic to be going to this new place, it didn't help your nerves. You were the type of person who loved getting to know someone for sure, but something was intimidating about going on multiple "first dates." You had to put on a good impression for more than an hour.
“Hi, you also hear for the speed dating?” A voice called out from beside you.
You looked over to see the most gorgeous man. He was tall, dressed in a black button up which peaked from the grey winter coat he was wearing. His hair was sleeked back with a few strands framing his forehead. He also wore this soft smile which made your knees weak. He was definitely going to be hot commodity tonight.
You nodded slightly, offering also a gentle smile. “How could you tell?” “Let’s just say I’m hoping to get to know you better tonight,” he said, winking.
It took everything in you not to let your jaw drop. You never met someone who spoke so coolly. He was the total package.
“Come on, let’s get you out of the cold. You’re practically shivering.”
Maybe it was from the chilly evening hair. Or maybe it was your nerves overriding your system. Either way, you were not going to disclose the truth. Not when this gentleman had his hand placed on your lower back to help you inside.
“Already trying to win me over?” You asked teasingly. “How could you tell?” He asked, matching your tone from earlier.
The two of you shared soft laughter as you crossed the threshold into the cocktail bar. There were tables lined up with white linen, a candle in the middle, and a short bouquet of flowers. Frank Sinatra was playing overheard, both screaming New York and romance. The mystery man stood slightly behind you, his hand leaving your back which you already missed.
“Hi! Sorry, we are closed for a private event,” the hostess said. “Oh no, sorry! We are both here for the speed-dating event,” you explained.
The hostess blush lightly from her mistake before nodding her head. “My apologizes, I assumed you two were already a couple since you walked in together. Can I get your name, please?”
You couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter at the insinuation. Sure, you guys happened to cross paths with the handsome stranger. Possibilities were endless though!
“Y/f/n y/l/name” “Great! All checked in. Here is your number ticket that indicates your table. And here is two drink tickets for the evening.”
You nodded, saying a quick “thank you.” You took the tickets before putting your phone in your purse. It bought you enough time to overhear the stranger behind you and gain some pieces of his identity.
“And your name, sir?” “Choi San.”
You smiled to yourself once you got his name. Choi San.
Not wanting to linger anymore, you began making your way to the long row of tables. Each table had a heart laminated and taped to the table. They were numbered 1-16. Glancing down at your ticket, you saw you were placed at number 7, your own lucky number.
More people were beginning to file into the establishment. However, you were trying your best not to scope out too much. You wanted to go into this open-minded, wanting to take in the experience while remaining open to the potential of finding a new connection. It didn’t help that your mind was already infiltrated with a man named Choi San.
“Looks like I’ll have to wait a little bit to get to know you, pretty girl,” San said.
He winked at you as he passed by your table, heading towards Table 8. Looks like you’ll be ending your night on a high note if he would be your last encounter of the night. You watched him for a moment. He sat on the opposite side of you, giving an indicator that the men will either be transitioning or the females will.
Feeling your eyes on him, he looked over at you too quickly for your liking. It didn’t give you enough of a chance to glance away. Your cheeks were also a key indicator what you had been up to, which weren’t really concealed despite the dimmed lighting. He chuckled lightly underneath his breath before he got to work at shrugging off his jacket.
You couldn’t pull your eyes away when his jacket off did in fact confirm the black button up he was wearing. What kept your attention was the way his fingers got to work unbuttoning the top 2, revealing his golden chest underneath. You wanted to be respectful, but you couldn’t help but slightly gawk at the man adjacent from you.
“Keep your eyes on me, angel. I’ll be coming for you.”

"Welcome ladies and gentleman to our fifth annual Cupid's Speeding Dating! Here is how it's going to go. Men are going to move to the left, switching the seat to chat with a new woman. You will have five minutes to make your best first impression."
Your eyes shifted over towards San, seeing that he would be moving further away from you at first. However, that just means you get to be the last person he talks to tonight.
"You know, there are a lot of things I can do in 5 minutes." You were interrupted by your internal thoughts by the man across from you. Your nose scrunched up as you understand quickly what he was suggesting.
"Please do not exchange numbers or socials until the next of the event. We want to make sure you are investing more into your conversations."
The guy across from you smirked again, winking. Ugh! Does this guy really think he has a chance?
You leaned back into the seat, wanting to create distance from you and your first date of the evening. You weren't much of a person to fixate on appearances. I mean, the guy was quite attractive. Yet, the moment he opened his mouth, all possible attraction flew out the door. It honestly just made you yearn more for San.
Noticing movement out of his peripheral, San glanced over. He flashed you a smile before going to pay attention to his current date. Sure, he knew he was most excited to talk to you, but he also didn't want to be rude. He just couldn't help but glance over to make sure you were okay.
"You can begin!" The host said excitedly.
Soon, the cocktail bar was filled with chatter. You decided to take a sip of water to ease your nerves, but also try to come up with a conversation to have with this guy. You were forced to be sat at the same time for the next five minutes anyways.
"So, what's your favorite position?"
This might possibly be the longest five minutes of your life.
Luckily, the guy talked more about himself which helped time run out. He was leaning across the table, as if he was trying to look down the top of your dress which caused you to only lean back into the wooden back of the chair. You also were silently thankful when the waitress brought over your first drink of the evening.
Beep beep beep. Beep beep beep.
"Okay, gentleman, please move one to your left."
The guy across from you let out a groan before pushing himself up. "I'll catch you after tonight," the guy said, winking. "Maybe we can go home together. Or slip into the bathroom for a little fun." You didn't even catch his name nor did you want to.
"It was nice chatting with you," San said next to you. "Good luck this evening!" There is an example of a gentleman.
As he got up to head to the next table, he smiled once more at the girl he was first chatting to. He also took a moment to glance at you, smiling a bit brighter. You felt as if you were going to melt in your seat. You just had to wait 14 more rounds before you got to be alone with San.
The second quickly blended itself until the 10th round. Sure, you loved chatting with the guys, and you could see yourself potentially going on a real first date with one or two. However, the whole time, you kept glancing over at San.
It would cause a twitch in your heart when he laughed at another girl's joke. The further he separated from you, the less you noticed his eyes finding yours. The reality that he could be more interested in someone else was beginning to set in. He could very much land at your table, being the last date of the night, and be exhausted. He could already have his heart set on another which caused you to sigh softly.
"I see you have eyes for someone already."
Looking up, you were greeted by a wide smile. The gentleman in front of you took a seat in front of you, running his hands through his hair to push back his hair. He was wearing an all-black outfit - dress pants that had a white, thin strip running up the side; a black v-neck that showed the silver chain around his neck, and a slightly oversized black sport coat.
"Sorry," you laughed lightly, blushing a bit. You didn't want to give off the wrong impression, especially when this gentleman seemed kind.
"No need to be sorry. Should introduced myself since it sees that you're gawking at my best friend," he said proudly. "My name is Wooyoung, and you are?"
You raised an eyebrow, feeling a bit intrigued. "Y/n." You took a sip out of your cocktail before setting it down on the counter. "You are friends with San?" "Oh, I see you two are on a first-name basis now. When is the wedding?"
Your cheeks got hotter as you took another sip out of your drink, which caused the young man to laugh. "Don't worry, I've seen him checking you out as well." "Stop, you're just saying that," you laughed. "We only met literally 30 minutes ago. There is no way that he is checking me out and I haven't noticed."
Leaning back into his chair, a smug grin curled onto his lips. He had one hand on the table, and the other resting on the back of the chair.
"You have no reason to trust me since I'm a complete stranger. However, I know my best friend. And I can tell you right now that if you look to my right side, you would be able to see San. And I bet he's fuming that his best friend is chatting up the girl he's been eyeing all evening."
You raised an eyebrow at this man's analysis. He looked at you challengingly, egging you on to look over to his right.
Unable to resist, you looked over. Your eyes widened as you noticed San was glancing from his date over to your table. His fists were clenched slightly while he did his best to maintain his composure in front of the woman he was chatting to. Yet, it was as if steam was about to shoot out of his ears.
"See?" Wooyoung said triumphantly. "You've got San wrapped around your pretty little finger, y/n."
Seeing San make eye contact with you, his eyes widened before he quickly looked away. You couldn't help but smile a bit brighter, your confidence starting to rise again. Maybe Wooyoung was right after all.
Beep beep beep. Beep beep beep.
"I'll definitely be seeing you around, y/n. Have a good rest of your evening," Wooyoung announced. He pushed himself up from his seat, about to move to the next table.
One thing you learned about Wooyoung in your short encounter was that he was filled with evil schemes and plots. For example, calling out how you and San kept looking at each other as if nobody could notice. You learned that while San was his best friend, he also liked getting a rise out of him.
Before you could say anything back to him, Wooyoung moved closer to you. He leaned down to press a firm kiss to your cheek, one everyone at the speed-dating event could see. Your eyes widened at his action. What was he thinking?!
People seemed to notice which caused cheers from the guys in attendance while the other women gasped. "Please keep it moving, Romeo," the event host announced. "You'll have enough time to show affection later."
"You'll thank me later," he whispered to you before moving to the seat at the next table.
You felt a bit guilty for not remembering the four guys. They seemed very friendly, having personalities that made it easy to talk to. You guys couldn't describe what on Earth was even said, not when your mind was counting down until you finally got to talk to San.
"You're a great listener, y/n. Too early to ask for your number?" "The host said no exchanging until after."
You looked over to see San standing up straight. You didn't think he did so maliciously, but it was obvious he was annoyed by the guy still sitting down. The guy you just talked to glanced over at you before putting his hands up in surrender and getting up.
Just as quick as the guy stood up, San slid into the seat. He moved the chair in so he could lean slightly over the table. "Do you like knowing your a hot commodity, angel?" He asked softly, a drastic change from how he just spoke.
"I have no idea what you are referring to," you said innocently.
San's hand moved to rest close to yours, his fingertips ghosting over your own. It sent electric shocks throughout your body just be being in close proximity.
"So you don't want to admit that my best friend had you giggling? You couldn't have thought that Wooyoung was seriously that funny. He gets all his best jokes from me!"
You could see San was getting a bit worked up. His chest was puffed up, wanting to present himself as a better option against whoever stood in his way, even if it was his best friend. Little did San know he had no true competition when you've had your eyes on him all evening.
"Actually, I found it adorable how jealous you get. Wooyoung merely pointed out this fact," you said, smirking.
You noticed then San's shoulders slump over a bit. His cheeks were flushed as he stared at you for a moment before looking towards the end of the row where Wooyoung was. Wooyoung, who was watching you two this whole time and offered a wave over to you two.
Sensing that San was getting a bit flustered, you moved your hand to rest on his. This caused his attention to move back to you, a smile curling onto his lips. He glanced down at your hands, eyes flickering to yours. You were not sure what he was looking for, but it became clear once he slipped his fingers in between yours.
And he looks for consent before doing anything? What a jackpot.
"I'll have to admit though. I was also getting jealous. I didn't like seeing you laugh with other girls when it should've been me," you confessed. Sure, you were just as embarrassed owning up to your faults, but you also hoped an ounce of your truth made San feel better.
It seemed to do the trick as his body relaxed. His thumb gently caresses the side of your index finger. You noticed his eyes were not leaving yours whatsoever, unlike before when his eyes would wonder around.
"Well, darlin', we don't need to wait anymore. You've got me all to yourself."
You and San spent the next hour or so chatting. You talked about your childhood, how you both ended up in New York City, and all your favorite things. Every time you talked, San looked at you as if you were made out of gems. He just adored listening to you, finally being sat at the same table with you.
San has always wanted to come to the United States. At first, it was to practice his English. However, he quickly realized that he wanted to learn more about people. He was currently researching graduate programs to study Sociology.
So not only is he kind and physically attractive, but he also was outgoing and intelligent. He was just checking every one of your boxes!
But he also was falling hard for you. He was impressed with how you took a leap into moving to New York City by himself. He was lucky to have Wooyoung whoo made the whole transition easier, so he couldn't imagine taking on the city solo. He admired your courage.
He also wouldn't vocalize it quite yet but he almost felt as if you two were destined to be in the same city.
The two of you didn't even notice that the other participants had left. The guys you had talked to tried staying around to grab your number, fuming at how San seemed to have snatched all your attention. Being the great friend Wooyoung is, he ushered them out so you and San could be uninterrupted.
It was as if Wooyoung was your own Cupid, doing everything in his power to make sure the love connection worked.
"I'm sorry, love birds, but we need to close up for the night."
San and you looked around, not realizing that all the tables had been cleaned and cleared after the event. The room was silent except for the noise of movement in the kitchen.
Looking back at you, he bit his lip. The clogs were stirring in his mind as if he was trying to figure out what to do next. Of course, you two would leave the cocktail bar, but then what? He looked as if he was afraid to say goodbye, and so were you.
"Why don't we walk around the Village? I'm sure we could find a late-night diner that isn't too crowded." "That sounds perfect."
San helped you out of the table before lifting yup your winter coat. He held it out for you, assisting you in slipping your arms through the sleeves. You turned slightly to press a kiss to his cheek, which made San light up like a little kid on Christmas day.
He quickly slipped on his own jacket before going to rest his hand back on your lower back. He nodded his head, both apologizing for overstaying but thanking the host for putting together the event.
She smiled understandingly as she witnessed San escort you back outside. His free hand pushes the front door open for you.
Maybe love did exist in New York City after all.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
You stormed into your apartment with Yeonjun hot on your trail. You almost closed the door in his face, but he stopped the door with his hand. "Baby, let's talk about this," he pleaded.
With one hand on the door, the other reached down to take off the black high heels you were wearing this evening. Tonight was your weekly date night. Or it was supposed to be.
You two planned to meet at 7pm. You arrived first, checking your phone for a text update from Yeonjun. You understood schedules get hectic, especially with a comeback looming. There would be limited time for the two of you, so you were doing everything you could to clear your own schedule to accommodate his. You were doing your damn best to be flexible for him, to get as much time with him before he's locked away in a dance practice studio.
7:43pm.
Where could he be? Was he okay?
It was then when you called Soobin to see what was going on. You were trying your hardest the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were caught up in a dance practice and he wasn't able to get his phone? Maybe he was recording and nobody went to retrieve his phone? Your mind tried ease your anxieties, but it was quickly replaced by anger. The moment Soobin picked up, you heard your boyfriend's laughter in the background.
"Hey y/n, what's up?" Soobin said, his voice a little too cheerful for your liking. "So you're the reason my boyfriend isn't here for date night?" You asked, your tone sharp and biting.
The noise in the background came to a stop. You weren't sure if it was because of Soobin saying your name or the rather harsh tone heard from the other side of the phone.
It wasn't Soobin's fault that your boyfriend forgot about date night, but you couldn't help but lash out.
"Shit," Yeonjun said from the other side of the line. "Tell him not to bother. I'm leaving."
It wasn't until you got home that you and Yeonjun crossed paths. You had parked your car in the garage with Yeonjun pulling in. You quickly grabbed your belongings before attempting to make a quick escape to the elevator that would lead you up to your shared apartment.
Once Yeonjun had parked his car, you heard him calling your name. You didn't bother to look up until you stepped into the elevator and the doors were closing right on Yeonjun.
The idea of being in an elevator with him, in close proximity with no true escape, made you sick to your stomach. You've been through the wringer with guys letting you down, forgetting about you.
Honestly, you thought things were different with Yeonjun because he was unlike any guy before. Maybe you were wrong all along.
It took everything in you to not cry. Part of you was numb to the feeling of disappointment when it comes to significant others. This didn't even come close to the top three letdowns you've experienced. What pained you was the fact that you had convinced yourself Choi Yeonjun was unlike the rest.
Accidents happen. Plans get forgotten about when they fail to make it out of text messages.
But this was date night. Your weekly date night. How could he forget about something so important for the both of you?
What also caused heartache was how you've confided in Yeonjun of your past. You tend to be too trusting of a person. Yeonjun always admired your kindness, but hated the fact that people have taken disadvantage of that.
It was his idea to help you find a therapist to build the life skills to stick up for yourself, to heal from your past. Of course, Yeonjun had been in your corner to support you. He was a large source of your confidence that the poor decisions of others weren't a reflection of you, that you weren't the cause of them choosing to hurt you.
When it came to dating, it was hard for you to not get the impression it was an issue with you. When relationships failed, you thought you were the one to blame. Even if you were the one putting most of the work into the relationship.
Who you are is not responsible for people lacking compassion and genuine care. You can be the best person but people will still choose to do the wrong thing. It is a reflection of who they are, not you.
The love Yeonjun showed you constantly helped solidify that you were a worthy person.
He reassured you constantly that you were one in a million in his eyes. And that it was a shame others chose to dim your light for their own selfish gains.
Although, the shadow of doubt was starting to grow more ominous. It felt like deja vu tonight, especially after past partners had forgotten dates or special events. One even forgot your anniversary.
Never would you believe Yeonjun would be lumped with the past.
A heavy-breathing Yeonjun was trailing quickly behind you. You didn't have the heart to slam the door in his face, now when you both lived here.
"Y/n, please! Just listen to me," Yeonjun begged.
Your heart chipped at the tone of his voice. You wanted so desperately to fall in his arms, to reassure him that it was okay and that he was forgiven. That was the old you.
"Why should I, Yeonjun? I'm not the same girl I was when we met," you sighed.
With your heels slipped off, you collected the straps in your hand to carry them upstairs. You were about to climb the staircase, just wanting to slip into bed and forget about tonight. Your freehand rested on the railing, but you couldn't bring yourself to trudge up the stairs.
For the first time that evening, you looked properly back at Yeonjun. You couldn't read his mind, not based on his facial expression. His cheeks were a bit flushed from having to run up the stairwell to your fifth-floor apartment. Other than that though, he looked frazzled. It was a stark different compared to the man you know. Or at least, that you thought you knew.
"I'm not just going to fall into your arms and tell you it's okay. I'm not just going to pretend I'm not hurting and that you're not the one to blame," you began.
It was then your body was failing you, your strong hold weakening. Your eyes were becoming glossy but you tried your best to blink them away before they could fall down your cheeks.
He doesn't deserve to see you cry.
"I get that I might not be that important to you anymore, but I'd rather you communicate that before you try to publicly embarrass me."
A weight had been somewhat lifted off your chest. You finally confronted someone who had done you wrong, something you would have actively avoided in the past. You never before doubted Yeonjun's care for you, until the incident tonight.
"Not care about you? If you think I'm giving up on us, you're wrong, sweetheart."
You didn't even make it up one step. Your grip on the railing tightened a bit as you spun back towards Yeonjun. He was kidding, right?
"How else am I supposed to react to you standing me up? Like, in case you also forgot, I have been your girlfriend for the past year and a half."
Seems like your attempts at going upstairs, to slide into bed were forgotten. To be honest, you weren't anticipating Yeonjun trying to put up a fight, let alone a fight for supposedly your relationship. You were more so anticipating Yeonjun to admit that he had lost feelings and just didn't know how to tell you.
That was the part you were accustomed to.
"I know who you are, y/n," he sighed.
Why was he the one now getting exasperated? He had no right. I mean, if you hadn't called Soobin, he would still be off on a boys' night until who knows when. All because he failed to remember date night, as well as ignore your texts and calls.
"And what I know about my girlfriend, about you, is that you have a big heart. I know you wouldn't just walk away, not like this."
Your blood was beginning to boil. Was he really trying to guilt trip?
His eyes seemed to widen as he let his own words process. You crossed your arms over your chest, your heels now hitting along your side gently as they still dangled in your grip. Even if your feet ached a bit, you felt more compelled to putting them on and walking right out for the night.
"Fuck, not what I meant." His hand ran through his hair before he leaned against the door, looking at you. "What I meant is that you are my girlfriend, my partner. I know that you are not the type of person that wants someone to fight for you, and dammit, I'm here ready to give it my all. I just need you to stay. Please."
Deep down, you knew you weren't a malicious person. While you were not pleased with Yeonjun, you didn't have the heart to walk away either. Not when you knew you wouldn't get a good night's sleep wondering why. And even if you did walk away from him, not giving him a chance to redeem himself, you'd always be left wondering 'what if' you had stayed.
Too many times you have stuck around after the other person begs and cries for you to. You felt guilty being the one to walk away, even if they have ripped you apart time and time again.
Maybe in the past, you were desperate for bad relationships to work because it was what you had grown to. Maybe you just hadn't found the courage to admit you deserved better.
Has Yeonjun been genuine this whole time, or has it been a whole facade? Did he have an alternative motive?
Only one way to find out.
Sighing, you nodded before going to sit on the bottom step. Your heels rested against the floor now, your grip loosening and allowing them to slip away. Your gaze looked at Yeonjun.
He frowned once he could see the pain in your face. It shattered his heart, which honestly has been breaking into pieces since the moment you called Soobin.
That was about an hour ago.
"Y/n, I cannot apologize for my actions," he began.
There goes another piece of your heart-shattering. Did he get amusement out of your heartache?
"It's inexcusable for me to not only forget about date night, but to leave you in the dark."
Slowly, you nodded your head. One, to acknowledge and agree what had had said to you. And two, to show him you were invested in the conversation and allowing him to speak first.
In reality, you should have gone off on him first. Baby steps.
"Why didn't you just text me back? Did you like seeing me concerned? Was it amusing to you and the guys?"
Yeonjun quickly shook his head. He desperately wanted to make his way to you, to join you on the steps. He wanted to take you into his arms to put the pieces of you back together. It pained him that he crushed the most precious thing in his life.
"No, angel. I'll admit that I didn't even know how bad things were until you called Soobin."
Well, at least you weren't the running joke in his friend group.
"I put my phone on the charger since I knew I would be driving to you to meet. I thought I had more time, but I honestly got swept up in the conversation with the guys. It's not an excuse, but it's the truth. I can even call all the guys to verify that's what happened if you want to take their word over mine for the time being. Well, maybe not Beomgyu since I think he would get enjoyment out of watching me squirm and beg."
You weren't the type of person to be selfish and demand attention. Yet, you couldn't help but when you knew there was a comeback in April and you'd be spending less time with your boyfriend once March rolls in.
You couldn't help but smile at the thought. Not really the sentiment of what Yeonjun said because it still rubbed you the wrong way that he lost track of time.
"There's my girl," Yeonjun murmured. You two made eye contact, but you noticed he glanced to the space beside you on the steps. Oh what the hell. You nodded gently, much to Yeonjun's delight.
Slowly, he crossed the entrance to where you were. He slipped in gently, keeping a bit of space between you. It was something just to be close to you.
"I am so sorry for hurting you, for leading you to believe I am not as invested as you are." Taking a chance, he gently moved his left hand to brush your hair back behind your ear. "You're my whole world, y/n. And I'll spend the rest of my days proving that to you."
"I know," you sighed. "But you also have to see where I'm coming from. This isn't my first time. If anything, I am used to people just giving up when things get tough or when feelings fizzle out."
"And I can assure you. I am not going anywhere. You are my life, my love, my everything. If anything, my feelings towards you get stronger every day. I am sorry for making you feel that you are less than that."
Yeonjun's hand in your hair gently moved to caress your cheek. The feeling of the warm touch of his was enough to make your anger from earlier dissolve gently. You were a tad bit sad by the events that unfolded, but this is what you always dreamed of when it comes to a relationship.
You always wanted someone willing to talk things out, not just run away. You wanted someone to place your well-being - emotional, mental, and physical - as a top priority as you did for others.
"I should have gotten you a wireless charger for Valentine's Day," you joked.
He chuckled gently at your joke. Truly, he adored your outlook on life. You often saw the positives, but he also admired your strong will. Watching you evolve into the person you are today made him proud to be yours. Even if him being in the wrong brought out that side of you, he still enjoyed being the one to navigate life and grow alongside you.
"Considerate it done. And can I also make up for date night? What about if we go out tomorrow night or Saturday?" "I'll have to think about it," you said playfully. "I might be busy."
Yeonjun playfully gasped. You couldn't help but giggle and finally press your lips against his. "Might just want to keep you all to myself for a weekend," you murmured against his lips.
Feeling him smile into the kiss made your heart flutter. The kiss was short, as he slowly pulled back. His forehead moved to rest against yours, gazing into your eyes.
"I'm all yours. Always have been, always will be yours."
