Just Pretend (BEOMGYU) CH10 - Define Love?
(BEOMGYU POV)
It finally came, the day of the group project. Me and Y/N had prepared our slideshow, and also got some practice in. We had to present in front of the entire class, but I didn't find myself feeling super nervous. We were ready!
Having told my mom about the big day, she ironed out my shirt for me and made sure everything was all set.
"Mom, I told you. It's just a slideshow for history class"
"I know sweetie, but I just want to make sure you have everything you need" she said.
I continued, "no one's even going to notice what I'm wearing! They're just going to wear what they always do"
She called as I got ready to tie up my yellow sneakers, "Beomgyu, wear the new converse I got you! The blue ones"
I whined, "Why? I haven't broken those in yet"
"You need to look crisp!" She yelled.

She also drove me to school, insisting that if my brother took me, I'd be late and miss the whole class and get a zero. Which, isn't too far off. Except now I'm 20 minutes early.
"Bye honey, I love you!"
"Love you too," I mumble.
I take the long way to my classroom. If I show up super early and it's just me and the teacher for a quarter hour, it'll be awkward.
I stop by the tree that me and Y/N sat at that one time. After the fight with my friends. The leaves shake and flutter above my head. I never noticed in winter, but it must be a cherry tree. The petals are now blooming a sweet bubblegum color, floating down in the dewy morning breeze.
As the ringing of the bell creeps up on me, I start to make my way to the classroom. As I'm reaching our hall, I see Y/N before me. She waves and jogs over.
Oh no. Oh no no no.
She smiles at me. Don't smile at me like that. Don't look at me like that. Her eyes glitter as she runs over. Her hair is curled slightly, and she's wearing a long, navy dress. Her mom probably also told her to dress nicely.
"Hey! Ready for our presentation today?" She greets. And her voice is so soft and kind. And she smiles, gosh, her smile. My heart aches for the love and comfort I feel with just a grin from her.
Don't make me fall for you. What am I supposed to do then? How can I recover from that? Don't make me fall for you just to be rejected. Don't give me another thing to pretend to not care about.
"Hello?" She waves her hand in front of my face, "Beomgyu?"
She says my name and it's like I've never heard it before. Like it's my first time hearing my own name. Like it was made for her to say it. Like every moment, every memory from my life was only a prologue leading up to me meeting her. Like the story starts now, and I've never known myself until I've found who I can be with her.
She grabs my hand, "Beomgyu, are you okay? You're just standing there"
Finally, I snap out of my daze as I feel the warmth of her hand in mine. My face heats up too.
"Y-yeah. Just nervous about the presentation"
"Aw, don't be! I'm sure you'll do fine" she reassures.
But in my mind, I can't stop thinking about her. And if I have a crush on her. And if she likes me the same way. And if she doesn't.
"What if I don't?"
She laughs, "well then, just mess up in a funny way. At least it'll be entertaining"
The bell rings loudly through the hallways, but my ears zero in on her laugh. And for a moment, I think that I'll be okay with her loving someone else. It's enough just to make her smile. If I can make her laugh even once, it'll be enough for me.
"Should we get to class?" She asks, leaning in while keeping eye contact.
My breath catches in my throat. I just barely get out, "yeah, let's go"

The presentation went well. I was able to calm down enough to present with Y/N, though my heart was racing the entirety of our slideshow. It still hasn't really stopped.
My last class ends and I begin to leave the building. As I reach the school gates, I see Y/N standing off by herself. Her hair is blowing so gracefully in the wind, her eyes gazing down at the sidewalk. Suddenly, she catches my eyes on her and grins.
"I keep forgetting that we don't need to work on our project after school today," she jokes.
"Y-yeah" I gulp. She's making eye contact with me. What do I do? Why do I suddenly feel so weird around her?
She fidgets with the straps of her bag, "so, got any plans for the weekend?"
"Nope" How am I still going to see her if we're not working on the project together?
"Then, uh.."
She looks at me. I feel my face flush scarlet. I turn away and hide my face with my hand, pretending to be deep in thought about something.
"Then, I guess I'll just see you around"
"Mhm" I nod, still facing away from her.
I hear her footsteps as she pats off. Once she's farther away, I turn back to her and stare.
Oh, Y/N. Look at me, pretending to be just friends. In reality, I'm already so far gone. My definition of 'love' was never complete, because the missing piece was always you.
Just Pretend (BEOMGYU) CH11 - The Moment I Knew
(Y/N POV)
Yesterday, I worried all morning and tossed and turned the night before, fretting what would happen to me and Beomgyu once we finished our presentation.
The presentation went well, but not me and Beomgyu.
Since I showed up that morning, he had been acting strange. I woke up early to do my makeup and hair, trying my best to look nice. My mom thinks it's because of the presentation. But really, it's because it was the last time we were forced to work together, and I hoped that if I could look good enough or sound smart enough, he would stick around.
However, he was distant the entire day. Like those pictures you see of the milky way galaxy, he seemed to be orbiting a whole other sun.
He performed well when it came to the slideshow, but I didn't see him again all day. It's like he was hiding. He had been dodging eye contact and muttering to himself since he got here. Was it something I did? I worry. I think back to me grabbing his hand earlier, shoot! I probably weirded him out and now he hates me, and, and... these nervous thoughts followed me all day, like the cherry blossoms in the spring air. Except far less pretty.
I practically ran to the front gates of the school. If I could see him just one last time before the weekend, maybe somehow I could... keep myself in his thoughts? He walked slowly from the classrooms, eyes down. When he finally looked up and saw me, he practically froze. Has he actually been avoiding me? What did I do?
I still smiled and ran over to him, "I keep forgetting that we don't need to work on our project after school today"
He gulped, "y-yeah" His eyes seemed to jump around, rarely meeting mine.
If I messed something up, I want to fix it! But how am I supposed to fix it if we never talk again?
"so, got any plans for the weekend?"
"Nope"
I went to prom with him (kinda), I talked to him once he lost his old friends, he helped me escape people that were bullying me, we've done this whole project together, how can we just move on as acquaintances after that?
"Then, uh," my mind raced as I tried to think of something we could do together, some excuse to meet up.
I looked at him again. He looked almost... agitated? He turned away and covered his face. I breathed a sigh. Then again, if he were to fall in love with me like I hoped, wouldn't he have by now?
"Then, I guess I'll just see you around"
He was still looking off somewhere. Maybe at someone else. Maybe at nothing at all, "Mhm"
I turned and began walking home. Once I was farther away, I felt tears start to well up in my eyes. I cried silently the whole way home.
Maybe it's stupid. Maybe I'm the one being unrealistic. But I really thought we had something, or maybe I just really believed we could've. I shouldn't have invited him to prom, it just made my feelings worse. And now I have to accept that we could've been, but we never will.
My feelings will just be fog on a window, obscuring my view but clear to him. My warm welcomes just melt at the hands of his cold gaze. And I'll have to be okay with that.

I sip my warm latte, steam floating up and warming my face. I listen to the tap tap tap of the icy rain against the metal roof.
In this quiet morning, I just scroll through Pinterest. Saving photos of cute animals or funny memes. Just relaxing.
I hear something hit the window. I look out there, but I don't see much through the condensation on the glass.
Again, a knock. Is there some animal messing with the latch of the window? A squirrel that went a bit crazy?
The sound continues, so I finally close my phone and unlock the latch of the window to see what is going on.
"What is-"
I freeze in my spot at my desk. My eyes now wide and glassy.
Soaked from the rain. Eyes red; he's been crying for a while now. Hair all messed up. A slouch to his posture, shoulders weighing him down. Arms flat at his side. A pleading look.
"I didn't know where else to go," he mumbles.
A roar of thunder. A flash of lightning. A shiver as he stands before me. I'm still so shocked. I was worried I'd never see him again, but here he is. And that was the moment I knew, for sure this time.
This was real.
I finally call to him, "Beomgyu?"
Beomgyu x Reader (Highschool AU): My Nerd
A/n: I got a few inspirations from here and there to write this.
Summary: Hybe High School is very known for it's high selectivity of accepting students, they only accepted students with some talent other than academic. Y/n is a newly accepted student, chosen for dance and taekwondo, lets see what happens when she crosses paths with whom the other students call the school nerd.

You were almost at the entrance of Hybe High School, the school of your dreams.
HHS was one of the most prestigious schools in South Korea, that selected students based on their talents and not academics. They took auditions and helped in making the talents better. They also helped in getting in into different entertainment companies. You had gotten in after your 2nd try and you were proud of yourself, even though your parents weren't very keen on your decision to move away from home, they still supported your decision and respected it.
You entered the premises and went to the office to get your schedule and locker. On your way out you collided with someone. You quickly apologised to see a cute guy in glasses. The guy kept on mumbling strings of apologies and you help him pick up his books.
"It's ok. I'm Y/n btw, I'm new here" you said
"I know. I mean not like I was stalking or something, your face just seemed new, not like I know-"
"I understand. It's okay um?" You waited as you still didn't know his name.
"Beomgyu" he said giving a shy smile that you reciprocated "Do you need help to go around there's still a good 20 minutes left before the first class"
"Could you help me find my locker?" You asked.
"Sure" he said and checked your number "Its 4 lockers from mine, come I'll show you" he chirped and lead the way, on the way you got to know that Beomgyu is a student of musical arts and by the way he talked seemed like he was a really good student. As you walked down you noticed, every locker was designed and decorated uniquely, probably by their owner and you decided that you'll have to come up with something soon.
And as promised, Beomgyu dropped you off to your first class, with a promise to have lunch together where he will introduce you to his friends. You entered your biology class, and sat in one of the front benches. The teacher came in and introduced you to the class and asked to pair up, you noticed the whole classed paired but a tall skinny pale guy. You shyly went up and asked if the seat was taken to which he smiled and shook his head a no.
In due course you got to know that the guys name is Soobin, and he seemed to really know what he was doing. He even guided you and helped you alot during class. You both exchanged numbers so that you could stay in touch for homework. You found that you actually take Maths with Beomgyu and Another one of his friend named Yeonjun. You sat in the seat infront of them and Beomgyu helped and guided you everytime you had a problem. The next was lunch so the three of you left the room together to go to the cafeteria.
You were walking away after buying luch when you heard someone call "Hey, new girl"
You cocked an eyebrow and looked at the tall guy infront of you, with sharp features. "Do I know you?" You asked Clearly irritated
"No but you could, it's Lee Jeno by the way" he said. His cockiness made you feel like kicking him across the country to North Korea, but you kept the urge with in.
"I'm Y/n L/n. Thank you, now if you'll excuse us" you were about to go but once again he blocked your path "Where are you going with this nerdy losers? I don't think you wanna mix with the wrong crowd" as soon as he said that you saw Beomgyu and Yeonjun tense up.
"I think I am capable enough to decide that on my own. Thank you and if you block my path once again you'll regret it" you said and walked away with The two boys to a corner table.
"Sorry. Jeno and his goons can be like that, but you should be carefull, they can be dangerous" Yeonjun said his features laces with concern.
"Oh, they haven't seen danger yet" you said smirking.
And then three more boys pilled in and sat one of them being Soobin.
"Soobin!" You cheered
"Hey! Yn!" He chirped back
"You know each other" Beongyu asked.
"We are in the same biology class" you explained.
Then Beomgyu introduced that amoung the other two one was Taehyun and the taller one was Huening-kai. You had a blast with the boys. Turns out Yeonjun and you share the same class for Hip-hop as well, and alot of the boys in general as they also got to know you.

1 week later
You were walking down to one of the classes when you felt someone block you way, which you looked up to see Jeno.
"Hey Y/nie~" he chirped "Remember me?" He asked
"Nuh-uh, I don't have the habit of clogging my mind up with thrash" you said cocking your eyebrows.
"Why you" he was about to chide but a voice broke your attention
"Jeno! Stop disturbing her, you jerk!" You see Beomgyu run to form a wall between you and Jeno. 'Stupid boy, I was handling it myself' you thought.
"Beomgyu" you started but was cut short.
"You think a loser like you can fight me?" Jeno said and before you could react he pushed Beomgyu away, as he tumbled on the floor.
"Beomgyu!" You shouted, and that was the last straw. Jeno was about to reach for your wrist but you held his and twisted it with force. Now this was something he wasn't expecting. After all he didn't know that along with dance, you were also a well trained Taekwondo fighter.
You pushed him away and set your books down to check up on Beomgyu, who said he was fine. That was when Jeno ran and tried to launch a punch only for you to grab him and hold him in a head lock and slam and pin him to the ground, by then there was a crowd and the teachers piled him. You explained everything to them, how Jeno was harassing you and your friends.
Soon you saw the rest of the 4 boys run to you both and hugged the two of you. Even Beomgyu was amazed to see you fight. He had later described the fight to the others in your absence, with a blush dusting his face.
"Y/n how did you do that?" Beomgyu asked in amaze.
"Uh, I am a state level Taekwondo fighter" you said fidgeting with your fingers.
"Wah! Now I know never to piss Y/n off" Huening-kai said
"Not if you want to go home in one piece" Taehyun said joking. And all of you laughed.
As for Jeno, he received ages of detention and counseling for bullying and harassment.

1 month later
You and the boys were really close now, you practically did things together, along with Jisu who was Soobin's cousin, it was good to have another girl in the group. And you guys hung out together.
"I really like how the boys got confident around you." Jisu said as you both sat down in your usual spot for lunch.
"I'm glad I could help all the 5 of them are so talented, I don't know why they don't act the part?" You said.
"They are shy, a part of the reason why I was generally left alone and could hang out with them much was cause I noticed they seemed uncomfortable around me, but then you came along and they themselves approached me. You literally saved me from being a loner" She said
"That's nonsense, they love you they just needed a boost and you are a lovely human and I love you" you said
"Aww. I love you too but I wonder where those guys are" she said and you wondered the same. Suddenly you saw Hyunjin a guy from your dance class.
"Y/n, Jisu You should go to the courtyard now! Jeno... The guys" he said huffing as he probably ran all the way here. And no sooner than he completed you and Jisu ran full speed towards the courtyard. To find a crowd.
You and Jisu pushed through to the front to find, the 4 of your friends held by 4 guys and Beomgyu surrounded by 3 more. You felt your blood boil to watch all these cowards talking and stading but none coming forward to help them.
"You all are NOTHING but nerds! And you" he pointed at Beomgyu saying "you're the greatest nerd of them all. Look at you, always giving her heart eyes, you think nobody knows? Or do you think she'll feel the same for you cause she pities you and hangs around you guys. I bet she regrets her decision" Jeno spat and that was it
"Why don't you ask her yourself you jerk!" You shouted and kicked him on the back and threw him down to the ground.
He was about to move but Jisu steped up and pinned him down and said "One move and I break you bloody arm". Yes, Jisu was in Taekwondo with you, you've also known her from meeting her at a few tournaments and thats how the two of you became friends so quick.
You recognised the other two to be Mark and Lucas. You were about to punch Mark but he put up his hands. "No no! Please don't, we only took part because Jeno asked us"
"Boys!" Lucas shouted and the four left your friends. And were about to walk away when you said "Aren't you forgetting something?"
The 6 of them looked at you quizzically and you said "Apologise to my friends!" You shouted.
And the four bowed down and did that and you gave them a warning to never be seen around you are your friends.
You and Jisu ran to check up on your friends. The 4 seemed fine but Beomgyu had a bruise on his arm. You hugged the boy tighly who mumble a string of thank yous.
"What would we do without you" Heuning-Kai said. You shook your head and said "What would I do without you? I'd be stuck clueless with those jerks" you said.
"Anyway he was right. What are we just nerds. Specially me I'm the greatest nerd" Beomgyu said.
"And so what if you are?" You asked.
"You heard everything he said, why are you saying that? You know what I mean!" Beomgyu says.
"Gyu" you said walking close to him "I've had a crush on you ever since I crash landed on my butt colliding with you" you and the rest chuckled abit.
"You're just saying that" he said "I have nothing on me, why would you have a crush on me?" He asked looking into your eyes.
"Gyu you're one of the smartest people I know, all of you guys actually" you looked around and told them and looked back at Beomgyu and grabbed his face "You're so tallented and your so cute! What if you're a nerd? You are my nerd" and with that you crashed your lips to his. You felt a smile creep to his face as he kissed you back with the same force and passion and his hands slipped to your waist pulling you close.
You both pulled away and he connected your foreheads. "Are we dating now?" He asked looking into your eyes with his innocent and puppy once.
As expected after that stunt Jeno was expelled.

6 months Later
You kept knocking at your door but Beomgyu wont open.
"BEOMGYU! I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T OPEN!"
"WAIT FOR 5 MORE MINUTES! PLEASE!" you heard him shout from inside and you paced up and down outside the door.
Yes, you came home from a late Taekwondo Practice to find that your appartment was already unlocked by your boyfriend who had a spare key and he didn't let you in. He literally pushed you out with the help of Yeonjun and Taehyun who said that they had a good reason and you've been here, locked out of your own appartment for the last 25 minutes. You were about to knock again but watched Yeonjun and Taehyun step out and tell you to go inside. You walked in and closed the door, to find the inside all dark except the light coming from the drawing room.
You walked to the door closely and the scene made you stop at the moment. The whole room was decorated in fairy lights and a small cake sat on the middle.
"Happy 6 months anniversary Babe" You heard Beomgyu's voice and you made out his silhouette on the couch and as you went near he switched in another lamp, now bringing his features into full light, and to saw you were in awe was an understatement. Your jaw didn't open, it was gone!
There sat your lovely boyfriend no specs, in all black and a new hair color, and your favourite flowers in hand.
You rushed to him and just gazed him up and down in awe. "does it look bad? Is it too much? Oh God I told Yeonjun-"
"No no! You just look gorgeous!" You said hugging him tightly.
"I'm glad you like it" he said holding you tight
"I love it babe" you said.
And the two of you cut the cake and suddenly, you had a plan in mind "You've got some cake on your face" you said
"I do? Where?" He asked in innocently
"Right here" you said applying the cream in your finger on the side of his lips.
"Oh I think you're gonna have to get it for me" he said with a smirk, if anyone saw Beomgyu here right now with this demeanor they wouldn't believe that this is the same guy at school, but you're here and you dig the duality.
You got close to him and licked the cream of him and that was enough time for him to grab you and pull you towards himself attaching his lips to yours. You both devoured each others lips with the same hunger and you tangled your hands behind is neck and tug at his long locks lightly, your tongues brushing against each other fighting for domination.

Prefect's duty with your Boyfriend
Hogwarts au! TxT x Reader
A/n: I am obsessed with Harry Potter and Kpop so I will schmooz them. Tzuyu from Twice and Yeosang from Ateez are the head girl and boy. The same year liners study in the same Hogwarts Year.
Soobin
"I hate this" you murmured and pouted "Did you say something Y/n?" Head Girl Tzuyu asked.
"Why the third floor? Its scary" you whispered to her
"Don't worry" Yeosang, the Head boy said, "I put you a partner" and winked, leaving you blushing as no other than your boyfriend walked to your side.
"Don't worry babe I'll protect you" Soobin said as he grabbed your hand and walked to the stairs. Navigating throught the changing stairs while talking about classes, when you reached the floor almost in sync the two of you pulled out your wands and chanted "Lumos", lighting up the ends of the wand as you made your rounds.
The fact that there were so many pictures in the corridor makes it more creepy but Soobin would hold your hand firmly through out the walk untill you reach to the stairs again. After making sure the whole floor is empty and okay the two of you walk back. Not before he steal a few kisses in the abandoned hallway though.
He would walk you to the dorm if you're from different houses or walk back to your dorm hand-in-hand.
Yeonjun
I bet he would be the one to ask for the two of you to be placed in the duty together, he'd go as far as bribing Yeosang with chicken he'd steal from the kitchen. Tzuyu would give you a knowing smirk as the two of you would walk away to do your duty.
Of course duty does come first and you'd take the round quickly before he shoves you inside one of the empty classrooms and picks you and sets you on the desk and stand between you legs for a hot makeout session. At times he'd bring chocolates he bought from his dorm but he'd made sure you would share.
Night patrol with this boy would always be like a little date. Being in the senior years it is difficult to always make time for each other but atleast this bit would be the time for just the two of you.
Yeonjun is the kind of prefect who would give any lurking student 3 chances. He'd leave them the first two times they are caught by warning, but a third time and they'd be reported to Headmistress Weasley immediately.
Beomgyu
He wont listen or move unless Tzuyu would simply give in and exchanges someone else to put him and you together. Being busy the whole day Beomgyu makes sure that he can get you all for himself to annoy the hell out of you.
Imagine walking through the hallways of 4th floor with your boyfriend talking to him and suddenly notice that Beomgyu is silent for too long, only to turn around and see that he's not there. In panic, you frantically looked around and increased your wand flare "Lumos maxima" you chanted and called for him "Gyu? Gyu? Beomgyu?"
Suddenly he appears from behind a pillar scaring the wits out of you and pushes his palm on your mouth to muffle your scream. He then realises how scared you were and a string of apologies and kisses would follow instantly.
However, patrolling with him was fun especially if you find any students lurking, it was so fun to watch Beomgyu interrogate the student as to why they were out of their dorms at such an "ungodly" hour.
Taehyun
This guy has subtle ways of showing various feelings and thus, he'd feel extremely jealous if you were put for the night patrol duties with any other prefect. So, he made sure to secretly tell Yeosang to pair him with you. While, you were more than happy to be able to spend more time with your boyfriend outside the study hall. Strolling through the hallways at night under the occasional moon lit passages is actually really nice.
The two of you talk about anything and everything, how he and Yeonjun wrote a new song about butter beer, or how you found this really good book in the senior section of the library. It almost felt like a date, holding hands. This is a time he looks forward to everyday to be able to spend time without the chaos he calls friends or other students
However, Taehyun gets really angry if this peaceful time was interrupted specially by any lurking student. If he found them may Merlin save them from his wrath because he will drag them to report them that instance and he'd make sure they are punished no matter what house.
Huening-Kai
He is a sweetheart like always, he'd primarily try to convince Yeosang and Tzuyu that you didn't need to patrol as you were tired, him being ready to take up double responsibility only for being shut by you. You both are a beloved power couple of your year and even the Head boy and girl appoint you to duties together. Huening-kai, would always make sure if you're okay, would ask if you're cold or warm. You find him so cute that can't help but just coo at him sometimes.
The two of you really enjoy these walks during the night as you love to explore the corridors. Or at times act like those muggle spies holding up imaginary guns in your hands. Other times you would walk around, randomly pressing kisses on one another.
Heuning-Kai is the kind of prefect to give 2 chances for any lurking students. He'd make them understand the first time. If he found them 2nd time then, he would personally take them to Yeosang and Tzuyu.

Yeonjun is the kind of prefect who would give any lurking student 3 chances. He'd leave them the first two rimes they are caught by warning, but a third time and they'd be reported to Headmistress Weasley immediately.
Beomgyu
He wont listen or move unless Tzuyu would simply give in and exchanges someone else to put him and you together. Being busy the whole day Beomgyu makes sure that he can get you all for himself to annoy the hell out of you.
Imagine walking through the hallways of 4th floor with your boyfriend talking to him and suddenly notice that Beomgyu is silent for too long, only to turn around and see that he's not there. In panic, you frantically looked around and increased your wand flare "Lumos maxima" you chanted and called for him "Gyu? Gyu? Beomgyu?"
Suddenly he appears from behind a pillar scaring the wits out of you and pushes is palm on your mouth to muffle your scream. He then realises how scared you were and a string of apologies and kisses would follow instantly.
However, patrolling with him was fun especially if you find any students lurking, it was so fun ti watch Beomgyu interrogate the student as to why they were out of their dorms at such sn hour.
Taehyun
This guy has subtle ways of showing various feelings and thus, he'd feel extremely jealous if you were put for the night patrol duties with any other prefect. So, he made sure to secretly tell Yeosang to pair him with you. While, you were more than happy to be able to spend more time with your boyfriend outside the study hall. Strolling through the hallways at night under the occasional moon lit passages is actually really nice.
The two of you talk about anything and everything, how he and Yeonjun wrote a new song about butter beer, or how you found this really good book in the senior section of the library. It almost felt like s date, holding hands. This is a time he looks forward to everyday to be able to spend time without the chaos he calls friends or other students
However, Taehyun gets really angry if this peaceful time was interrupted specially by any lurking student. If he found them may Merlin save them from his wrath because he will drag them to report them that instance and he'd make sure they are punished no matter what house.
Heuning-Kai
He is a sweet heart like always, he'd primarily try to convince Yeosang and Tzuyu that you didn't need to patrol as you were tired him being ready to take up double responsibility only for being shut by you. You both are a beloved power couple of your year and even the Head boy and girl appoint you to duties together. Heuning-kai, would always make sure if you're okay, would ask if you're cold or warm. You find him so cute that can't help but just coo at him sometimes.
The two of you really enjoy these walks during the night as you love to explore the corridors. Or at times act like thise muggle spies holding up imaginary guns in your hands. Other times you would walk around, randomly pressing kisses on one another.
Heuning-Kai is the kind of prefect to give 2 chances for any lurking students. He'd make them understand the first time. If he found them 2nd time then, he would personally write take them to Yeosang and Tzuyu.

A/n: I got a few inspirations from here and there to write this.
Summary: Hybe High School is very known for it's high selectivity of accepting students, they only accepted students with some talent other than academic. Y/n is a newly accepted student, chosen for dance and taekwondo, lets see what happens when she crosses paths with whom the other students call the school nerd.

You were almost at the entrance of Hybe High School, the school of your dreams.
HHS was one of the most prestigious schools in South Korea, that selected students based on their talents and not academics. They took auditions and helped in making the talents better. They also helped in getting in into different entertainment companies. You had gotten in after your 2nd try and you were proud if yourself, even though your parents weren't very keen on your decision to move away from home, they still supported your decision and respected it.
You entered the premises and went to the office to get your schedule and locker. On your way out you collided with someone. You quickly apologised to see a cute guy in glasses. The guy kept in mumbling strings of apologies and you help him pick up his books.
"It's ok. I'm Yn btw, I'm new here" you said
"I know. I mean not like I was stalking or something, your face just seemed knew, not like I know-"
"I understand. It s okay um?" You waited as you still didn't know his name.
"Beomgyu" he said giving a shy smile that you reciprocated "Do you need help to go around there's still a good 20 minutes left before the first class"
"Could you help me find my locker?" You asked.
"Sure" he said and checked your number "Its 4 lockers from mine, come I'll show you" he chirped and lead the way, on the way you got to know that Beomgyu is a student of musical arts and by the way he talked seemed like he was a really good student. As you walked down you noticed, every locker was designed and decorated uniquely, probably by their owner and you decided that you'll have to come up with something soon.
And as promised, Beomgyu dropped you off to your first class, with a promise to have lunch together where he will introduce you to his friends. You entered your biology class, and sat in one of the front benches. The teacher came in and introduced you to the class and asked to pair up, you noticed the whole classed paired but a tall skinny pale guy. You shyly went up and asked if the seat was taken to which he smiled and shook his head a no.
In due course you got to know that the guys name is Soobin, and he seemed to really know what he was doing. He even guided you and helped you alot during class. You both exchanged numbers so that you could stay in touch for homework. You found that you actually take Maths with Beomgyu and Another one of his friend named Yeonjun. You sat in the seat infront of them and Beomgyu helped and guided you everytime you had a problem. The next was lunch so the three of you left the room together to go to the cafeteria.
You were walking away after buying luch when you heard someone call "Hey, new girl"
You cocked an eyebrow and looked at the tall guy infront of you, with sharp features. "Do I know you?" You asked Clearly irritated
"No but you could, its Lee Jeno by the way" he said. His cockiness made you feel like kicking him across the country to North Korea, but you kept the urge with in.
"I'm Yn Ln. Thank you, now if you'll excuse us" you were about to go but once again he blocked your path "Where are you going with this nerdy losers? I don't think you wanna mix with the wrong crowd" as soon as he said that you saw Beomgyu and Yeonjun tense up.
"I think I am capable enough to decide that on my own. Thank you and if you block my path once again you'll regret it" you said and walked away with The two boys to a corner table.
"Sorry. Jeno and his goons can be like that, but you should be carefull, they can be dangerous" Yeonjun said his features laces with concern.
"Oh, they haven't seen danger yet" you said smirking.
And then three more boys pilled in and sat one of them being Soobin.
"Soobin!" You cheered
"Hey! Yn!" He chirped back
"You know each other" Beongyu asked.
"We are in the same biology class" you explained.
Then Beomgyu introduced that amoung the other two one was Taehyun and the taller one was Huening-kai. You had a blast with the boys. Turns out Yeonjun and you share the same class for Hip-hop as well, and alot the boys in general as they also got to know you.

1 week later
You were walking down to one of the classes when you felt someone block you way, which you looked up to see Jeno.
"Hey Ynie~" he chirped "Remember me?" He asked
"Nuh-uh, I don't have the habit of clogging my mind up with thrash" you said cocking your eyebrows.
"Why you" he was about to chide but a voice broke your attention
"Jeno! Stop disturbing her, you jerk!" You see Beomgyu run to for a wall between you and Jeno. 'Stuoid boy, I was handling it myself' you thought.
"Beomgyu" you started but was cut short.
"You think a loser like you can fight me?" Jeno sId and before you could react he pushed Beomgyu away, as he tumbled on the floor.
"Beomgyu!" You shouted, and that was the last straw. Jeno was about to reach for your wrist but you held his and twisted it with force. Now this was something he wasn't expecting. After all he didn't know that along with dance, you were also a well trained Taekwondo fighter.
You pushed him away and set your books down to check up on Beomgyu, who said je was fine. That was when Jeno ran and tried to launch a punch only for you to grab him and hold him in a head lock and slam and pin him to the ground, by then there was a crowd and the teachers piled him. You explained everything to them, how Jeno was harassing you and your friends.
Soon you saw the rest of the 4 boys run to you both and hugged the two of you. Even Beomgyu was amazed to see you fight. He had later described the fight to the others in your absence, with a blush dusting his face.
"Yn how did you do that?" Beomgyu asked in amaze.
"Uh, I am a state level Taekwondo fighter" you said fidgeting with your fingers.
"Wah! Now I know never to poss Yn off" Huening-kai said
"Not if you want to go home in one piece" Taehyun said joking. And all of you laughed.
As for Jeno, he recieved ages of detention and councelling.

1 month later
You and the boys were really close now you practically did things together, along with Jisu who was Soobin's cousin, it was good to have another girl in the group. And you guys hung out together.
"I really like how the boys got confident around you." Jisu said as you both sat down in your usual spot for lunch.
"I'm glad I could help all the 5 of them are so talented, I don't know why they don't act the part?" You said.
"They are shy, a part of the reason why I was generally left alone and could hang out with them much was cause I noticed they seemed uncomfortable around me, but then you came along and they themselves approached me. You literally saved me from being a loner" She said
"That's nonsense, they love you they just needed a boost and you are a lovely human and I love you" you said
"Aww. I love you too but I wonder where those guys are" she said and you wondered the same. Suddenly you saw Hyunjin a guy from your dance class.
"Yn, Jisu You should go to the courtyard now! Jeno... The guys" he said huffing as he probably ran all the way here. And no sooner than he said completed you and Jisu ran full speed towards the courtyard. To find a crowd
You and Jisu pushed through to the front to find, the 4 of your friends held by 4 guys and Beomgyu surrounded by 3 more. You felt your blood boil te watch all these cowards talking and stading but none coming forward to help them.
"You all are NOTHING but nerds! And you" he pointed at Beomgyu saying "you're the greatest nerd of them all. Look at you, always giving her heart eyes, you think nobody knows? Or do you think she'll feel the same for you cause she pities you and hangs around you guys. I bet she regrets her decision" Jeno spat and that was it
"Why don't you ask her yourself you jerk!" You shouted and kicked him on the back and threw him down to the ground.
He was about to move but Jisu steped up and pinned him down and said "One move and I break you bloody arm". Yes, Jisu was in Taekwondo with you, you've also known her from meeting her at a few tournaments and thats how the two of you became friends so quick.
You recognised the other two to be Mark and Lucas. You were about to punch Mark but he put up his hands. "No no! Please don't we only took part because Jeno asked us"
"Boys!" Lucas shouted and the four left your friends. And were about to walk away when you said "Aren't you forgetting something?"
The 6 of them looked at you quizzically and you said "Apologise to my friends!" You shouted.
And the four bowed down and did that and you gave them a warning to never be seen around you are your friends.
You and Jisu ran to check up on your friends. The 4 seemed fine but Beomgyu had a bruise on his arm. You hugged the boy tighly who mumble a string of thank yous.
"What would we do without you" Heuning-Kai said. You shook your head and said "What would I do without you? I'd be stuck clueless with those jerks" you said.
"Anyway he was right. What are we just nerds. Specially me I'm the greatest nerd" Beomgyu said.
"And so what if you are?" You asked.
"You heard everything he said, why are you saying that? You know what I mean!" Beomgyu says.
"Gyu" you said walking close to him "I've had a crush on you ever since I crash landed on my butt colliding with you" you and the rest chuckled abit.
"You're just saying that" he said "I have nothing on me, why would you have a crush on me?" He asked looking into your eyes.
"Gyu you're one of the smartest people I know, all of you guys actually" you looked around and told them and looked back at Beomgyu and grabbed his face "You're so tallented and your so cute! What if you're a nerd? You are my nerd" and with that you crashed your lips to his. You felt a smile creep to his face as he kissed you back with the same force and passion and his hands slipped to your waist pulling you close.
You both pulled away and he connected your foreheads. "Are we dating now?" He asked looking into your eyes with his innocent and puppy once.
As expected after that stunt Jeno was expelled.

6 months Later
You kept knocking at your door but Beomgyu wont open.
"BEOMGYU! I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T OPEN!"
"WAIT FOR 5 MORE MINITES! PLEASE!" you heard him shout from inside and you paced up and down outside the door.
Yes, you came home from a late Taekwondo Practice to find that your appartment was already unlocked by your boyfriend who had a spare key and he didn't let you in. He literally pushed you out with the help of Yeonjun and Taehyun who said that they had a good reason and you've been here, locked out of your own appartment for the last 25 minutes. You were about to knock again but watched Yeonjun and Taehyun step out and tell you to go inside. You walked in and closed the door, to find the inside all dark except the light coming from the drawing room.
You walked to the door closely and the scene made you stop at the moment. The whole room was decorated in fairy lights and a small cake sat on the middle.
"Happy 6 months anniversary Babe" You heard Beomgyu's voice and you made out his silhouette on the couch and as you went near he switched in another lamp, now bringing his features into full light, and to saw you were in awe was an understatement. Your jaw didn't open, it was gone!
There sat your lovely boyfriend no specs, in all black and a new hair color, and your favourite flowers in hand.
You rushed to him and just gazed him up and down in awe. "does it look bad? Is it too kuch? Oh God I told Yeonjun-"
"No no! You just look gorgeous!" You said hugging him tightly.
"I'm glad you like it" he said holding you tight
"I love it babe" you said.
And the two of you cut the cake and suddenly, you had a plan in mind "You've got some cake on your face" you said
"I do? Where?" He asked in innocently
"Right here" you said applying the cream in your finger on the side of his lips.
"Oh I think you're gonna have to get it for me" he said with a smirk, if anyone saw Beomgyu bere right now with this demeanor they wouldn't believe that this is the same guy at school, but you're here and you dig the duality.
You got close to him and licked the cream of him and that was enough time for him to grab you and pull you towards himself attaching his lips to yours. You both devoured each others lips with the same hunger and you tangled your hands behind is neck and tug at his long locks lightly, your tongues brushing against each other fighting for domination.

A/n: Lol I don't have much friends or someone to comfort me and I'd really love to have someone. Idk if you can classify this as angst but this might make some people sad.
Yeonjun
"Y/n-ah!" You heard you Yeonjun's voice "Where are you?" He whined as he walked through the semi dark appartment switching on the lights. "There you are" he said in relief as he found you face red, eyes bloodshot red due to crying, features still trembling.
"J-jun" you said in a soft voice, looking at him with eyes and it physically hurt him to see you this way. You were generally the chirpy one who always partnered with him on his chaotic deeds so seeing you like that, sitting on the bathroom floor, crying for hours, broke him. He rushed to hug you, and you hugged him back almost clinging to him for dear life. He'd hug you tighter "lets get you up and to the bed okay?" He'd say before pulling away and pulling you up by your arms and taking you to the bed where he'd wrap you up and hold you close, feeding you chocolates and ice cream, talking about how what happened could have happened to anyone and it wasn't specifically your fault. He'd look into your eyes and say "It's okay, you tried you best, it wasn't enough so you try again and this time you will overdo yourself from last time and succeed"
"I believe in you" he'd say and hug you as you'd shed silent tears and he'd simply let you cry it out.
Soobin
Shutting people out, that's a habit of yours, when you are upset, your mind keeps telling you 'Noone will understand you'. Soobin knows that and he's been there, waiting for you to come to him but that was in the past. That is why here the tall guy is sitting at the edge of your bed as you sob out on his shoulder.
He knows what it's like to be alone and he also knows you'd do the same for him. So, he would just be there ready to listen when you talk. He would wait patiently unless you've cried yourself out or spoken to him "It's okay to cry, do not bottle your feelings" he'd say and he'd just run his big hands, on your arms in a soothing manner and to make you feel that no matter what happens, no matter who come he, would always be there for you. "I will not let you shut me out and cry alone, you're stuck with me" he would assure you.
He'd try to act cute to get a reaction from you, smiling to himself like an idiot when you give in. He'd go as far as to force you out of bed and sober you up to take you for a stroll, or for a run of your favourite dessert/food. He'd sing for you as you both would be sitting alone at your favourite roof top feeling the cold night breeze against your face.
Beomgyu
This guy is a comedy himself, but the moment he'll see your face or watch you rush out of the room, he'd follow you. He'd probably find you in a secluded area, breathing heavily, trying your best not to break down. But one "Y/n" from him and all your controls would break and he'd rush to hug you.
He is not the best with words so he'll let his actions speak louder. He'll stay quiet, scared that he might make things worse by saying something wrong. He'd simply draw comforting patterns on your back as you bowled out your eyes, probably getting his t-shirt wet, but he wouldn't care, you are the most important one right now. He'd wait untill you would be ready to speak.
He'd try his best to recall some stupid jokes that you liked and tell them to you and you'd surely end up laughing leading to Beomgyu smiling at you like an idiot. Then telling him what happened, while he listens closely.
Taehyun
"What's up, loser" he'd say taking a seat beside your curled up body. No he doesn't mean it, it's just his way of kinda testing the waters. Only to make you sob a bit harder and his eyes would go wide. You know Taehyun isn't much of a person for physical love, so even you'd be a bit shocked when he'd hug you, but you'd shift into his embrace none the less.
"It's fine, trust me, we'll fix it together" he assure you as he'd rub soothing circles on your back. "What if it can't be fixed?" You'd ask looking at him with big teary eyes. "Then we'll do it all over again" he'd say looking damn into your eyes with a reassuring smile. He would stay beside you the whole time, be it hours even.
He would have finally ordered your favourite food and force you to eat it. Then he'd talk to you in deep with what happened. The two of you would walk through every detail and steps and he'd help you figure out exactly what things might have gone wrong and where are the weak points. He'd help you figure out exactly where the points of improvement are.
Heuning-Kai
He has always been your comfort person, the person you can go to when you're upset or anything really. He'll always be there for you to support you, to cheer you up and to help you get back on your feet. Hence, when he'd get to know from a common friend that they saw you upset he'd rush to call you dropping everything else.
"Y/n! Y/n! Are you okay?" He'd ask searching your eyes, and he'd almost feel his own heart break seeing you so down. Being the affectionate person he is, he'd spread his arms wide for you to confide into him as you cry even harder. He'd hold you tighter as he'd feel your body shake from the amount of hurt you've endured. No, he won't ask you what's wrong, he'll just let you cry it all out, silently he won't even utter a single word and just hold you and run his fingers through your hair in a calming manner. He won't ask you because he knew you'd tell him yourself when you're ready.
And finally when you do, he'd still hold you as you speak your mind out, he'd let you be vulnerable and catch you and would want to keep you safe. He would assure you that it will all be fine, that all this will ultimately lead to a greater good. When you'd be insecure he'd tell you how well you've done in other things before and how he knows you'll get through this as well and he'd be right beside you to cheer you on.

(a/n: This is specifically based on this interview. This has been sitting in my draft for ages, finally I completed it.)
Yeonjun
He is an impatient guy, specially when it comes to you, but he's not stupid. He knows well enough that you could handle any situation well on your own. But did it irritate him to the bone to find that the guy that's been trying to flirt with you all night, even after you telling him she was taken tried to make moves. And that was it, he'd rush to your side hitting a punch square at the guy's jaw. With an apologetic last look he'd hold your hand and walk away.
Soobin
Soobin is generally a calm guy, he is. He is also a very thoughtful and considerate guy but that all flew out of the window the moment he saw a guy flirting with you. The sign of disgust on your face was evident and he felt proud of himself. But, he would get really pissed at the persistency of the guy so bring the competitive guy he is, he'll take is best resort. He will rush to you and hug you from behind while landing a kiss on your cheek. That was enough to show that you're his.
Beomgyu
This guy is completely spontaneous. He won't leave your side for much long. So he'd be really pissed to find that the moment he left you were cornered by a hyena. Of course you were pretty but everyone knew you were with him, then hiw the hell can anybody dare to hit on you. He would be seething on fire especially to see how you were disregarding the guy's advances, but he kept on pestering you. He'd rush to your side and punch the guy directly with a "Take that you hyena. This is what you deserve when you hit on somebody's girl"
Taehyun
Now Taehyun has a lot of patience, he does, but lord forbid if he finds someone flirting with you. He would be quick to drop whatever he was doing previously. A/n: I am obsessed with Harry Potter and Kpop so I will schmooz them. Tzuyu from Twice and Yeosang from Ateez are the head girl and boy. The same year liners study in the same Hogwarts Year.
Soobin
"I hate this" you murmured and pouted "Did you say something Y/n?" Head Girl Tzuyu asked.
"Why the third floor? Its scary" you whispered to her
"Don't worry" Yeosang, the Head boy said, I put you a partner and winked, leaving you blushing as no other than your boyfriend walk to your side.
"Don't worry babe I'll protect you" Soobin said as he grabbed your hand and walked to the stairs. Navigating throught the changing stairs while talking about classes, when you reached the floor almost in sync the two of you pulled out your wands and chanted "Lumos", lighting up the ends of the wand as you made your rounds.
The fact that there were so many pictures in the corridor makes it more creepy but Soobin would hold your hand firmly through out the walk untill you reach to the stairs again. After making sure the whole floor is empty and okay the two of you walk back. Not before he steal a few kisses in the abandoned hallway though.
He would walk you to the dorm if you're from different houses or walk back to your dorm hand-in-hand.
Yeonjun
I bet he would be the one to ask for the two of you to be placed in the duty together, he'd go as far as bribing Yeosang with chicken he'd steal from the kitchen. Tzuyu would give you a knowing smirk as the two of you would walk away to do your duty.
Of course duty does come first and you'd take the round quickly before he shoves you inside one of the empty classrooms and picks you and sets you on the desk and stand between you legs for a hot makeout session. At times he'd bring chocolates he brought from his dorm but he'd made sure you would share.
Night patrol with this boy would always be like a little date. Being in the senior years it is difficult to always make time for each other but atleast this bit would be the time for just the two of you.
Yeonjun is the kind of prefect who would give any lurking student 3 chances. He'd leave them the first two times they are caught by warning, but a third time and they'd be reported to Headmistress Weasley immediately.
Beomgyu
He wont listen or move unless Tzuyu would simply give in and exchanges someone else to put him and you together. Being busy the whole day Beomgyu makes sure that he can get you all for himself to annoy the hell out of you.
Imagine walking through the hallways of 4th floor with your boyfriend talking to him and suddenly notice that Beomgyu is silent for too long, only to turn around and see that he's not there. In panic, you frantically looked around and increased your wand flare "Lumos maxima" you chanted and called for him "Gyu? Gyu? Beomgyu?"
Suddenly he appears from behind a pillar scaring the wits out of you and pushes his palm on your mouth to muffle your scream. He then realises how scared you were and a string of apologies and kisses would follow instantly.
However, patrolling with him was fun especially if you find any students lurking, it was so fun to watch Beomgyu interrogate the student as to why they were out of their dorms at such an hour.
Taehyun
This guy has subtle ways of showing various feelings and thus, he'd feel extremely jealous if you were put for the night patrol duties with any other prefect. So, he made sure to secretly tell Yeosang to pair him with you. While, you were more than happy to be able to spend more time with your boyfriend outside the study hall. Strolling through the hallways at night under the occasional moon lit passages is actually really nice.
The two of you talk about anything and everything, how he and Yeonjun wrote a new song about butter beer, or how you found this really good book in the senior section of the library. It almost felt like s date, holding hands. This is a time he looks forward to everyday to be able to spend time without the chaos he calls friends or other students
However, Taehyun gets really angry if this peaceful time was interrupted specially by any lurking student. If he found them may Merlin save them from his wrath because he will drag them to report them that instance and he'd make sure they are punished no matter what house.
Heuning-Kai
He is a sweet heart like always, he'd primarily try to convince Yeosang and Tzuyu that you didn't need to patrol as you were tired, him being ready to take up double responsibility only for being shut by you. You both are a beloved power couple of your year and even the Head boy and girl appoint you to duties together. Heuning-kai, would always make sure if you're okay, would ask if you're cold or warm. You find him so cute that can't help but just coo at him sometimes.
The two of you really enjoy these walks during the night as you love to explore the corridors. Or at times act like those muggle spies holding up imaginary guns in your hands. Other times you would walk around, randomly pressing kisses on one another.
Heuning-Kai is the kind of prefect to give 2 chances for any lurking students. He'd make them understand the first time. If he found them 2nd time then, he would personally take them to Yeosang and Tzuyu.

"What are you doing?" Taehyun asked, peering over Beomgyu's shoulder. Quickly, Beomgyu covered this notebook from the peering eyes of his best friend.
"N-Nothing," Beomgyu quickly responded. "Bullshit! Let me see."
Taehyun tried his best to reach for the pile of papers but Beomgyu did a good job at playing defense. If only he noticed Kai by his side who was able to snatch the notebook from underneath him.
"Hey! Give it back," Beomgyu whined.
He was about to pop up and chase after Beomgyu, but Kai already began reading out-loud the written words. Kai's voice called to attention Yeonjun and Soobin, who soon found themselves wondering over towards the living room. Beomgyu just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide.
"Oh, does our little Beomgyu have a crush?" Yeonjun teased. He approached his younger friend and ruffled his hair playfully.
Beomgyu was quick to swat his hand away before glaring. Yeonjun quickly took a step back, putting his hands up in surrender.
"So what if I do? What's the big deal?" Beomgyu muttered. If only the couch could swallow him whole at this moment. "It's not like anything is going to even happen anyways."
The other four boys all looked towards their friend. Their eyes were wide. Soobin was definitely questioning if he had heard Beomgyu correctly. Taehyun, his closest friend out of the group, took a seat next to him on the couch. Yeonjun had taken a seat to his other side as Soobin and Kai placed themselves in front of Beomgyu.
They had never encountered this side of Beomgyu before. He was always the friend that offered advice when one of the other guys needed advice, especially when it came on how to approach someone they were interested in. So to hear that he had his own self doubt was a bit alarming.
In reality, it was easy for Beomgyu to give advice to his friends. At his core, he was somewhat of a hopeless romantic. He loved watching romance novels, for the plot he claimed, but also because it gave him hope of one day meeting a girl that makes him feel like the main character. He loved the cliches in songs and poems. Beomgyu often took the lessons he learned from film and other forms of media in order to help friends sort through their dilemmas.
He had just never experienced a love that powerful before. Sure, he might have had a crush here and there, but he never took them seriously before. They would normally fade after a week or so.
This time was different.
"Gyu, what are you talking about? Why would you think that?" "Because I know nothing will happen! She's far too good for someone like me."
Kai and Yeonjun looked at each other with concern. What was going on in their friend's mind? How could he not see how amazing he was, both as a friend and as a partner for someone? Soobin looked at Taehyun, letting him take the lead to ease Beomgyu's concern. If Beomgyu had to listen to someone, it would be Taehyun. "Is this about y/n?" He asked outright. "Why would this have anything to do with her?!" Beomgyu was both impressed by his best friend's sleuthing skills but also terrified that his crush had been outed so easily. All the guys knew of you. You were constantly working with Beomgyu on class assignments, but they didn't know much about you other than that. Now, it was starting to come together. "I'm going to take that as a yes," Taehyun chuckled lightly.
All Beomgyu could do as a response was throw his head against the back of the couch and let out a loud groan in frustration. It was then the concern on his friends' faces turned into smirks as they watched how red Beomgyu had turned in a matter of seconds. "Wait," Yeonjun called out. "Is y/n the one who works at the coffee shop?" "No, she is the one that Gyu is always meeting up with at the coffee shop," Kai proudly proclaimed. "So she's the one that he sits beside in their Poetry class?"
"Do we have to keep talking about her?" Beomgyu asked, a slight whine in his voice. His friend group was notorious for teasing one another, but he prayed this one time that they might spare him.
"Yes," the other four said in unison which caused Beomgyu to groan again. "Or at least we can conceive some sort of plan to help you," Taehyun offered.
This finally peaked Beomgyu's interest. Slowly, Beomgyu sat up correctly with his arms crossed over his chest. "I'm listening," he muttered. He would be lying if he said his stomach wasn't filled with butterflies at the thought of getting an inch closer to breaking the barrier from friends to lovers.
"Here's what is going to happen," Taehyun began.

Everything was set into place. There is no way Beomgyu could mess this up. But to make sure it all went according to plan, the four others had situated themselves at the opposite end of the cafe. To everyone, it looked like they were just four studious guys trying to finish their degrees.
Yet, Beomgyu couldn't help but look over his shoulder to make sure they weren't being too obvious. It didn't help when he made eye contact with them, they all shot him a thumbs-up. I hate them.
You weren't a predictable person. You had your moments were you craved to be around other people, surrounded by loud noises and flashing lights. He knew Fridays would be a guarantee of catching you out of frat row. But he didn't want to make a move where you might forget about it.
There were times though during the week you'd like to retreat to your dorm and ignore the world. You valued your alone time, which shocked him as he got to know you. There was hardly ever a time you said no to someone. Unless you had a study or a paper due.
The one consistency in your life was your love for an iced coffee and blueberry muffin. It was something that helped motivate you to study, but also something that could heal your soul.
Today was one of those days where you could use a little tender, love and care.
To be fair, Beomgyu hated Taehyun's plan. It involved you getting let down. You were such a considerate person, so Beomgyu hated anytime you felt betrayed. Yet, he knew Taehyun wasn't doing this maliciously. It was supposed to be an opportunity for Beomgyu to swoop in as if being your knight in shining armor. Still. Beomgyu hated the fucking plan.
Taehyun had texted you saying you wanted to do something special for Beomgyu's birthday next month. Of course, you said yes. You knew all the guys, and would do anything for any one of them. Especially Beomgyu. He had become such a prominent role in your life that you actually felt honored that to be included in the planning of his special day. Taehyun then said he would meet you at the coffee shop at 6:30pm, after his evening lecture.
However, he sent you a text at 6:31 saying that he had planned everything already so there was no need to meet up. Truthfully, you loved getting the opportunity to make someone's day special, whether it be a big or small occasion. You felt hurt that not only did Taehyun take full control, but that he decided to cancel last minute. What was the point in texting you in the first place then if he was just going to turn around and do it all on his own?
Cue Beomgyu.
I hate you, Taehyun.
His heart was shattering as he saw the sight of you. Your head was down as you seemed to be focused on writing down either notes or even poetry lines, a habit you picked up from the class. He could still tell you were upset by the way you were hunched over.
The coffee shop you two frequented never announced customer names, just their orders. Your stomach grumbled when you heard someone had ordered your usual. Lucky bastard.
You would write a few words in your notebook, but then quickly cross it out in black ink. Nothing was working out, nothing made sense.
"Maybe this could help?"
The voice that spoke out to you caused your heart to race. Could I just be hearing things? You looked up slowly, not wanting to get your hopes up too much. Yet, you couldn't deny the smile that curled onto your face.
Beomgyu stood in front of you, one coffee cup close to him but the other gently being placed in front of you. "BVC" was written on the cup, a blueberry vanilla chai. The order previously called out made you seethe with slight jealousy. You had no idea Beomgyu would even be here.
"My knight in shining armor!"
Beomgyu chuckled as he went to shrug off his jacket. He placed it on the back of the chair in front of you. It made you smile a bit wider, cheeks beginning to ache, as you realized he was actually staying.
However, what took you by surprise was the way he didn't pull back the black metal chair. Instead, he slid in next to you in the booth portion of the table. Your eyes widened slightly, a pink hue coating your cheeks. No matter how hard you wanted to conceal it, Beomgyu noticed and boy, did it make his ego soar. There were always murmurs, mainly from the four guys, that you could like him. He always denied it, but the slight confidence was now making him lean into the theory.
"How did you even know I would be here?" You asked softly. "Please, y/n. This is your favorite place to go after classes, especially when it has been raining off and on all day. You aren't ready to go home quite yet because you are a cliche who loves rainy days. You wanted to be somewhere you could get work done but also get lost watching the rain."
It was a lie. A little white lie. Maybe one day he would confess to the crime he was committing, but right now, he just couldn't get over the shimmer in your arms. Did he actually make you that happy.
You couldn't confide the truth in Beomgyu why you were here. Not when his surprise birthday party was on the line. All you could do for now was nod your head in confirmation.
"Well, it's definitely better now that you are here." "Oh really? Tell me, sweet girl. How can I make this evening even better? Or is having me right where you want me enough?"
The pep talk from Yeonjun was paying off. The words were falling off of Beomgyu's lips with ease now.
You were staring at him at shock. This wasn't the Beomgyu you knew. The guy who could trip either over his words long forgotten. This was a new man who knew his next response before you could say anything.
There was no doubt that you had feelings for Beomgyu. He made you feel the cliche butterflies you read about in romance novels. He gave you hope that maybe the authors weren't just exaggerating when they described love as making you warm and fuzzy because Beomgyu made you feel that way daily.
Yet, he was your best friend. You never wanted to jeopardize that by the rush of emotions you felt. To be honest, you were confessed at first the only reason why you thought of Beomgyu romantically was because he was the first guy to give you validation rather than just attention. He treated you kindly without expecting something in return. Unless you ate his last snack. You thought it was something you'd grow over time.
However, here you two were. You were sitting in the booth, staring at each other. The music, the conversations of people around you faded out. All you could hear was your own heartbeat in your ears.
The only thing that brought you back to reality was the feeling of his arm wrapping around your shoulders. His free hand resting on the table, but fingertips strategically placed close enough to brush yours. Does he fucking know I like him?
"Because let's be honest here. We both have been trip-toeing around the idea of us. I don't know about you, y/n, but I'm tired. I want to play a different game."
Your head tilted slightly, confused what he could mean by game. Beomgyu honestly was a intriguing man, so you naturally were inclined to learn more.
"I'm tired of competing with other guys to try to get you to see I could be the one for you. I want to be the only one. Why don't you give me a chance to prove it to you, once and for all?" "And you think a blueberry vanilla chai could win me over just like that?"
Now it was Beomgyu's turn to become fluster. His eyes widened as he retreated a bit, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. Was he being too presumptious? Did he say too much?
There was the Beomgyu you knew.
Before he could over a rush of apologizes, you giggled. His mouth that was opened quickly closed. Your hand now rested on top of his, squeezing his hands comfortingly.
"There's nothing I would love more, Gyu. Why don't you pick me up for dinner tomorrow night? Something proper because right now, I really don't want to leave our favorite spot."
His arm slightly tightened around you, pulling you in closer. His heart couldn't settle just once as he realized this was actually happening. And that his best friends were actually right for once.
"Sounds like a date," he whispered.
His lips were pressed gently against your forehead, but he quickly pulled back once he heard cheers erupting from the other side of the cafe. His eyes widened as he didn't even have to look over to know what who was behind the interruption.
Yet, you didn't. You raised an eyebrow and glanced over your shoulder, staying close to Beomgyu. His fingers caressed your shoulder, almost as if he was trying to keep himself grounded rather than going over to yell at his four friends.
His four friends who were right all along, and were celebrating their victory by whistling and clapping for the two of you. Which caused everyone else at the cafe to look over in direction.
You blushed again, not expecting all the attention. Your face buried into Beomgyu's neck as you erupting into a fit of giggles. He couldn't help but chuckle as he looked down at you endearingly.

You stand with your hands on your hips, admiring your hard work of getting those heavy boxes full of furniture into the sad, empty house by yourself. You mumble to yourself, "This is stupid."
You turn around to walk back outside since thereβs no heater or AC yet, and itβs boiling in the new modern house.
Once youβve left the house, you lock the door behind you and get in your car. Once youβre back home, you're holding your cup of coffee, your keys, and a bunch of other stuff, including your phone.
As you unlock the door, you hear something and brush it off as some sort of water pipe noise because the website said it was just remodeled, but the house is fairly old.
When you walk in, you see the old ceramic vase your mother made for you in your freshman year of highschool. You wonder why itβs on the ground since it was packaged away in some big heavy box you were too lazy to look in. You convince yourself youβre just too tired to remember that you grabbed it because you just moved in. Why would you try to make yourself scared like a little kid?
As you pump up your temporary air mattress and lay down your pillow, you hear a small tap on the wall but just roll your eyes, thinking itβs nothing.

Kai hears a sound from the pantry full of cans you packed. He opens the door and sees that somehow one of the corn cans ended up with the green bean cans. He huffs, "Bahiyyih, I swear if you put this corn can on theβ"
He and Bahiyyih hear a sudden scream from upstairs followed by a shout of "BUG!" and a few footsteps. But once she gets off the stairs, there's an extra footstep behind her that wasnβt hers. They think nothing of it because there is practically nothing in the house besides basic furniture: a couch, a bed, a desk, and a few appliances in the kitchen so it could have just been an echo.
Kai calls out your name, βYo, did you put this can here?β You walk over and shake your head as you grab a water bottle. βNo, why? I thought you guys were in charge of the food.β He huffs, βWe were until Bahiyyih decided to spill water everywhere.β
You laugh as she pouts. βIt was an accident!β she confesses, and Kai rolls his eyes. βRightβ¦β
As the three of you set up the sleeping arrangements for the night, Kai and Bahiyyih leave to get some food. You are by yourself, sitting on the bed you are sharing with Bahiyyih, while Kai sleeps on the mattress on the floor.
You feel a cold gust pass through you and turn your head to check the temperature in the house. Something moves out of the corner of your eyes, and quite literally nothing couldβve prepared you for there to be a man standing at the doorway of your bedroom. You freeze.
βWhat areβwho are you?β You ask, muscles taut and ready to bolt. He just looks at you for a good minute, then opens his mouth to talk and says βyou can see me?β he says with a tilt of his head.
You sit up and say, "Get out of my house, or I'll call the police!" He doesn't reply; instead, he sits there for a moment, then goes invisible for a second and reappears. You stand there in shock, your mouth open, and he just stares at you.
As soon as Kai and Bahiyyh get back, the man is immediately gone. They ask, "Girl, we just got you food. Are you okay?" Still a little shaken up, you reply, "Yeah, I'm just tired from moving a bunch of heavy boxes." Kai laughs, and you nod, going to grab the food the two goblins started eating before they got to the house.
You huff getting up and the others say theyβre gonna go sleep so you decide to leave your food uneaten and just go sleep.in the morning your friends wake you up and itβs around 7 and 8am and you whine βshut upβ she say with a pout because you want to sleep and they say βgirl you have to wake up if you want to be over fixing up the houseβ
Once the house is finally organized, they leave, give you hugs, and you wave them goodbye. After theyβre gone, you plop onto the couch to watch a movie. The only thing you're interested in is Mean Girls, itβs the only good thing on Netflix.
A few minutes before the movie ends, you hear a sound from the kitchen. You get up to check if itβs a mouse, as the landlord mentioned there might be mice in the first week. However, when you get there, the same man is standing there.
Heβs wearing a fancy outfit with a white button-up top that looks like something a prince would wear, black dress shoes, and black formal pants. You back away and say, βWhy are you in my house again? I said Iβllββ
He doesnβt say anything and just looks at you. When he steps, his steps donβt make a sound as he says, βYour house?β
You threaten to call the police on him again, and the handsome man tilts his head. βWhatβs the police?β
You say, βAre you stupid.β He just looks at you and shrugs his shoulders.
He says, βWell, my name's Beomgyuββ
You roll your eyes. βIβm not asking for your name. Iβm asking you to get out of my fucking house,β you say,watching his movements with caution.
You sigh. βHow long have you been here?β you ask, not as a question but as a demand.
When you try to touch him to drag him out of your house, your hand goes through him. You stop, and the world crashes around you. Did your hand just go through his arm? You sit open-mouthed, grasping at straws for a plausible reason for why that would happen. There are none. He seems a bit startled, too, watching your hand go through him. You stare at each other, a bit comically.
And then, like a wave that curls over and sucks you under, it hits you; youβre insane.
The man speaks. βhow did that happen?β
You stand in shock like a deer in headlights, thinking you're literally insane, and you shrug. "I⦠I don't know what just happened." You go to grab him again and again, but your hand just keeps going through him with a small 'woosh' each time.
He says, just as scared as you, "I can't feel anything." he turns his head to look around your room and he says βare we insane?β you shrug replying βwait..whatβs your last name..β you trail off forgetting his name βitβs Choi,Choi beomgyu is my nameβ
You look him up and down despite being terrified of him. "What are you wearing?" you ask, sighing as you judge his old-looking clothes. This guy looks like he's about to go to a Renaissance faire, you think, before your thoughts are cut off by him.
"Does your husband possibly know you've intruded on his wardrobe?" he asks with a raised eyebrow and a cocky smirk you just want to smack off his face.
You put your hands on your hips. "I don't have a husband. What do you mean?" You say it like you're truly offended, but you know you're not and you'd like to stay without one. You remember some sob story your aunt told you about boys when you were thirteen, and you've been avoiding boys left and right since then.
Later, you (well, mostly you) search up his name on Google, and it says that he was born in 1500 and died in 1523. He was a poet and a songwriter. It doesnβt mention the cause of death, and Beomgyu himself doesnβt seem to know how he died. He says, "I'm dead?" with a sad tone. You look at him in terror because you're literally looking at a ghost.

In the morning, you get up to get ready for your first day at work. Your eyes open to see the dead man, Choi Beomgyu, looking at you. You scream, βOh, what the fuckββ You say, scared for a second, and the man laughs in his oddly attractive voice. You sigh, βIf youβre gonna show yourself, at least try not to give me a heart attack each time.β
The man laughs again. βJust for that, Iβll do it just like that each time,β he says with a smirk youβre already tired of seeing, even after knowing him for only a short time.
βWell, Iβm gonna shower.β You turn around to grab your fresh and clean clothes, and you see him again, but heβs moved positions way too fast, and you forgot heβs a ghost.

During your first day of work, your boss and a co-worker, Yeonjun, talk to you for a while. Yeonjun is teaching you how to cook fries, and you ask him, "So, what town are you from?"
He hums, shrugging his shoulders with a sigh. "I grew up here, but the people here suck. But I know a few good people."
He helps you take out the fries because theyβre heavy, and you get his number for "work purposes," but you only want his number because he's hot.
Your boss is being rude because you dropped a singular fry. Yeonjun tells your boss, Soobin, "It's fine. It was an accident," with a smile. You sigh in relief, and Yeonjun pats your back.
When you serve your first customer, a super nice old lady, she asks for simple tasks. Once you serve her, she thanks you, and you thank her for coming.
Once you turn around, Yeonjun is doing something with another co-worker, Taehyun. You roll your eyes because you want to be out of there as fast as you can, having gotten no sleep last night because of a certain someone.

Once you get home, Beomgyu is sitting on your bed, and youβre confused about why he's there. He asks, "Why are you here so late?" with a look that suggests he's mad.
You shrug. "I had to go to work." You put your keys away, and Beomgyu watches your steps. You sigh.
Beomgyu stands up to watch over you, though you don't realize it because you can't feel him. He says, "Why were you gone for so long, though?" which makes you jump.
"I don't know, I left during closing hoursβ" He cuts you off with a roll of his eyes and a certain movement you can barely make out, but he moved further away.
He says, "I wonder why you arenβt married to anybody by now. Your father wouldβve sold you off." He snickers when you scoff.
You say with a sigh, "Fathers donβt give their daughters away in marriage anymore. Now itβs normal to just get married because you love each other."
He says, "But why arenβt you married? Youβre beautiful. Iβm sure some men would love to have you as a wife or something like that."
You smile and laugh. "I donβt know, Iβve just never found interest in the men around because either theyβre weirdos or they're super annoying."
"Then why donβt you try to find someone who could make you happy?" he asks sweetly, oblivious to the fact itβs making you self-conscious because youβve never really been with someone since boys suck.
You shrug. "I donβt know, but all I know is I'm tired, so Iβm going to try to sleep. And donβt you watch over me like you did last night because it gave me nightmares."

once youβre done texting yeonjun and you finally get up from your messy bed that you made not even around an hour ago beomgyu is looking at you

"You liked to write, but what did you write about? I've been searching for something you wrote, but there's nothing I can find of your work when I search your name."
He sighs, waving you over to the computer. "Just type in these words for me princess." You nod, walking over to the computer he's gesturing towards.
You havenβt used this computer since you first moved in a few weeks ago, so it's collected a bit of dust over time.
He whispers into your ear, "Can you type in βScary? My God, Youβre Divine?βThatβs the name of my most famous writings .." He trails off, and you obviously canβt tell what heβs thinking, but you feel exactly what heβs feeling: sadness.
The poem is sad and about how a princess couldn't love a goblin even though she loved him. The poem is full of emotion, but you don't feel it. Instead, you feel blank and nothing at all.
he says βthat poem always has made me sad because it reminds me of..β he trails off as he hears the door bell ring and he jumps because he got scared and you chuckle at him slightly going to stand up from your desk chair
as you open the door is just yeonjun there and he asks βsorry for coming unannounced, your house is closer then mine is and itβs pouringβ
βUh, sure,β you respond, trying to shake off the sudden emotional weight from reading Beomgyu's poem. You glance back at the ghost,thinking yeonjun can see beomgyu.
Yeonjun steps inside, his eyes sweeping across your cluttered living room. βNice place,β he comments, flashing that fox-like grin that makes your heart skip a beat.
βThanks. Itβs not much, but itβs home,β you say while pursuing your lips, leading him to the couch. As he sits down, you notice Beomgyu reappearing in the corner of the room, watching intently.
You clear your throat, trying to push the ghost out of your mind. βSo, whatβs up?β
Yeonjun shrugs. βI just wanted to hang out, maybe watch a movie or something.β His eyes flicker to the computer desk where the poem is still displayed. βWhatβs that?β
You feel a lump in your throat. βOh, itβs just an old poem I found. Nothing special.β
Yeonjun gets up and walks over to the screen, reading the poem silently. βThis is really good. Who wrote it?β
βChoi Beomgyu,β you answer quietly, glancing at the ghost. Beomgyuβs eyes are fixed on Yeonjun, his expression unreadable.
Yeonjun turns to you, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. βNever heard of him. Is he one of those obscure poets?β

Beomgyu chuckles, a rueful smile playing on his lips. "That I'm dead and haunting your apartment?"
You nod sheepishly.
He sighs, his demeanor softening. "Y/n, you deserve happiness. If Yeonjun makes you happy, don't let my presence hold you back. I'm just a ghost from the past."

I really don't think he'd care considering he's pretty fluent in English. He would definitely like to learn things about your culture, traditions, etc that you do and would love to be more educated on it. Talking and communicating wouldn't be a problem at all although I think he'd be so touched and feel so loved if you tried and learn korean for him, even if it's just the basics or some sentences. Literal heart eyes dude w/ the fondest smile. I think he's interested in visiting your home town and places you love. hes very sweet and open minded.

I feel like he also wouldn't care too much but would prefer if you knew some Korean but wouldn't really bother him too much if you didn't. I can see him being fascinated by some foods or other things that you eat or watch that isn't really where he grew up and is so interested, resulting in him asking lots of questions. He tries to be respectful too if you have a religion or a tradition so he's definitely educated more on things. He hates when you or him get judgmental stares because you're an american / foreigner.

I don't think he prefers it but I don't think he'd be against trying it or wouldn't fall for one. You probably would have to give him some lessons more so on pronunciations rather than English itself but only if he asks, he sometimes do. I think he'd forget sometimes you're a foreigner so when you don't understand sum he's like ???? ...ohhhhh lemme explain, lol. But he doesn't really act differently with you tbh, would definitely offer teaching you Korean a lot though lol. Definitely isn't embarrassing by you being a foreigner though.

I think he wouldn't care too much, maybe not his preference but I don't think he'd judge, he's the sweetest dude. Very open minded. I think he'd be nervous asf to meet your family or friends because even tho he's good In English I feel like he doesn't want to say anything bad???? Or worried about his pronunciation. Obviously not, but he just wants to be approved and be able to be with you still. He also wishes to take you places you've never been before that he loves or used to go to all the time when he was younger and meeting his family and friends. Idk he's just the cutest.

Would definitely want to eat food and snacks and go places where you went too a lot as a kid or really liked and just walk and have a good time together. He would love to do the same with his home town and take you there to show you different things he also grew up with. You're definitely meeting his family too but family is very important to him and they're very accepting of you. I js think bc he's also half American he's very accepting and is just happy to be with you.
