In the heat, dust and stunning landscapes of Damaraland, there is a sanctuary – Mowani Mountain Camp. Dwarfed by massive ochre boulders, the camp is absorbed into the landscape, making it one with our shared history of life in this prehistoric land. Every soft curve or ragged edge frames the landscape in a different way, as if you are seeing for the first time, every time. Luxury thatched suites with spectacular wrap-around views, equipped with air-conditioning within the room area. The lounge is equipped with a satellite television and CD music centre, private dining and bar facilities, drinks included. A personal waiter is available upon request. Adjacent to the lounge a double room with en-suite bathroom as well as an outdoor bush bath and shower with a gorgeous view once again.

At the age of 26, Jane Goodall travelled from England to what is now Tanzania, Africa, and ventured into the little-known world of wild chimpanzees. Among her many discoveries, perhaps the greatest was that chimpanzees make and use tools. She completed a PhD at Newnham College in Cambridge in 1966, and subsequently founded the Jane Goodall Institute in 1977 to continue her conservation work.

The Skeleton Coast is the northern part of the Atlantic coast of Namibia and south of Angola from the Kunene River south to the Swakop River, although the name is sometimes used to describe the entire Namib Desert coast. The Skeleton Coast’s rough seas, roaring winds and strong ocean currents are primarily responsible for many of these beached ships’ fate. Many of the wrecks on the harsh coastline have been completely destroyed by the sun, sea, and wind but a few are still visible.

Die Skelettküste ist der nördliche Teil der Atlantikküste Namibias und erstreckt sich südlich von Angola, vom Kunene-Fluss bis zum Swakop-Fluss. Gelegentlich wird der Name auch verwendet, um die gesamte Küste der Namib-Wüste zu beschreiben. Die raue See der Skelettküste, die tosenden Winde und die starken Meeresströmungen sind in erster Linie für das Schicksal vieler dieser gestrandeten Schiffe verantwortlich. Viele der Wracks an der rauen Küste wurden von Sonne, Meer und Wind vollständig zerstört, aber einige sind noch immer sichtbar.

Camp Syncro is located at the northern end of Marienfluss valley (Namibia) , right at the edge of the Kunene river, at the border to Angola. It is a remote paradise where you can find a place of recreation, far off civilisation-induced stress. Camp Syncro is a unique safari camp for individualists.  It can be reached only by 4x4 vehicle within a day's drive from either Opuwo or Sesfontein. It is the only camp in that region. A unique atmosphere is created by the subtle background rush of the river, the recurrent clacking of cattle and goat hooves on the pebble stones and the warbling of the mourning dove in the trees.

Es kann nur mit einem 4x4-Fahrzeug innerhalb einer Tagesfahrt von Opuwo oder Sesfontein erreicht werden. Es ist das einzige Camp in dieser Region. Eine einzigartige Atmosphäre entsteht durch das leise Rauschen des Flusses im Hintergrund, das immer wiederkehrende Klappern von Rinder- und Ziegenhufen auf den Kieselsteinen und das gurren der Tauben in den Bäumen.

Onduruquea is located east of the Erongo Mountains between Karibib and Omaruru. The guest farm offers different kinds of accommodation facilities from standard rooms to private waterhole suites. Onduruquea offers various massages and wellness programs, a sauna and a swimming pool.

Activities include game drives and day trips to the highlights of the Erongo such as Omaruru, Ameib or Spitzkoppe.

Magma, das sich abkühlte erzeugte tolle Szenarien und die massiven Granitblöcke sind einfach ein Traum. In den späten Abendstunden bietet das warme Licht schöne Foto/Filmmotive. Auch alte Felsmalereien kann man zwischen den Felsblöcken finden.

The Erongo Region (Namibia) is a geological wonderland. Its centre is formed by the Erongo Mountains a 130 million year old volcanic ruin with breath taking rock formations and landscapes. Over thousands of years Magma, which cooled down subterraneously formed impressive natural scenarios dominated by massive granite boulders. Especially at dusk these landscapes offer beautiful photographic motives. The mountain range is also home to many interesting ancient rock paintings.
