I just wanna chat about Zayn’s career a bit, why no LPs? Why no gigs? why do we think zayn doesn’t like performing? I saw a few performances and yes granted he looked nervous but not any more than any of the other boys when they were starting out their solo careers. 

i think about this too much. I mean I always kind of expected it to fall through cause that's been the pattern for the past six years... but it still hurts to see they're playing the same bs.

Wow. So excited for this Zayn and Ingrid collab. But I am also kind of suprised? The timing is weird (Zayn has just released an album 2 months ago). The release day is Wednesday, which is simply bizzare.  There’s also the interview situation. Why now. The timing is all wrong. Unless he’s going to do give us Z4 soon (doubt that) or a different major thing. Don’t know what to think.

also... their version of "a lot of promo" is like... an instagram post. like ??? i also think it has a lot to do with the fact that it's a collab and ingrid's promo team is probably not interested in sabotaging their client (GASP, WHAT A REVOLUTIONARY IDEA!)

honestly i think the only reason why RCA is doing all this promo for zayn is probably because they're really close to zayn leaving and i think that regardless of how much promo they do, zayn is still going to leave RCA.

no this pisses me off because they KNOW. they freaking KNOW how stan twitter is. they KNOW about the kind of following that zayn has and the numbers we have. they should have known to tell us what time the song was coming out and that we'd be staying up late for the release like we did with vibez. they should have KNOWN that it would be misleading for them to do what they did. they just let the update accounts tell everyone a new song was coming out when it was just a teaser. they're slowing his reach. it's like a roller coaster that stops halfway to the bottom. completely ruins the effect. WHY????

I mean like?? the only thing I can think of is that maybe it's a play on the title of the song? like to begin the countdown again?? but that's such a stupid way to do it and if that's the point then you should at least be like HAHA GOTCHA IT'S A TRICK SEE GET IT?? also there are way better ways to play with the title than, idk, LYING TO YOUR FANS??

also can we talk about how by releasing a new song with a new collaborator barely two months after an album release is so ??? like why?? it takes attention away from his album even more! I mean he hasn't even released his next album single yet... "nobody is listening" is gonna be literal because theyre gonna take his listeners away from the album to listen to a random single??

ALSO it's on a wednesday in the middle of the afternoon??? how random is that like wtaf is happening with his promo team are they on drugs?? please make it make sense to me. i'd love to know how much money zayn's magazine and fashion deals are making to compensate for this complete failure with his *actual* career

@rca i get that you want to spend as little time and money on zayn as possible but releasing zayn's song midday on a Wednesday on conveniently the same day as a rare paper interview with him is published just takes the cake. i mean honestly, you couldn't give us the song at midnight at least??

I knew things were bad, but I had no idea they were this bad? if you need context. Blake has the loveliest YouTube channel where he plays tracks and comments on the production of the tracks. Blake does amazingly and he has recently got into one direction and it seems that he has loved them as much as us. Now we are told Blake was told explicitly not to post album breakdowns by Zayn’s label RCA? WTAF?

bruh are you telling me that they really made zayn cancel the zach sang interview when it came to promoting nil but the minute he has a collab single to promote they're all on board with it??

I mean I know that radio interviews are a big favorite of zayn's management so nobody can see his face... but everyone else on the call had their camera on. would it have killed them to let zayn show his face for a ten minute interview?

the wording of this is really interesting to me because obviously it would be management's job to actually do the reaching out and scheduling situation but he said IF WE COULD... now I know this could be just the way he phrased it but also whenever I hear other artists talking about collabs they usually just say "I reached out" or "we reached out" but zayn straight up says "I asked my management if we could reach out." 

And when you add that to the fact that in the gq interview he was talking about not having much creative freedom, it just makes me wonder if he was giving a little insight to just how controlled he is.

Unsurprised but still bitter that Nobody is Listening got next to no promo but To Begin Again gets tons of radio interviews and a magazine cover. They did the same thing when he collabed with Taylor Swift. He only gets a voice when it's to promote someone other than himself. 

The Zach Sang interview was scheduled for ages ago when the album dropped but they rescheduled it for when his collab was coming out instead?? Like seriously??

Also can they seriously stop asking him about his personal life and one direction?? The man just dropped an album and a collab. There are plenty of things to ask him. As Zayn said himself: "leave [his] life outside."

the interviewer said that he got notified that he'd interview zayn the MORNING of the interview?? is that normal?? feels like another attempt to make z look bad within the industry
