K, so like Voltron has been officially over for almost a year and I just remembered something.
So you know how Zarkon was the villain for most of the show? Well I feel really bad for him bc all he wanted to do was save kids wife. (Exclaimer: I haven’t watched the show since it ended but I have a pretty good memory)
So it starts of with a rip in the dimension or something to a place called the quintessence field which just to happened to be on Zarkon’s home planet. Alfor sends a bunch of scientist there and stuff. Zarkon falls I love with one of those scientists and they get married. Then she starts to get sick. (I’m pretty sure she’s pregnant during this) then she gets really sick like bed ridden or something. So Zarkon who is just wanting to save his child and his wife takes himself and the whole of Voltron and his wife into the quintessence field hoping to save his wife. There’s an accident and they (Zarkon and his wife) go into a coma. During the time they are asleep, zarkon’s home is blown up in hopes to close the dimension rip. Zarkon awakes, his wife had given birth during their coma and he and his wife had lost their memories and romantic feelings for each other. The quintessence had altered their body’s and their chemical make up. Just after Zarkon wakes he finds out his Home has been destroyed and that breaks him making him into the villain he was at the beginning of the show.
All I’m saying is that Zarkon is a villain but, his initial plan is understandable

*Sorry if any of mine are popular. I don’t talk about my opinions with fandoms since they can be pretty toxic.*
Here are mine:
1. The Shiro clone idea was really bad.
I don't like this idea because the development "Shiro" went through between S3 & 6 did not affect the actual Shiro.
2. Voltron went downhill once Keith replaced Shiro as the leader.
I don't think it is Keith's fault for the show's quality depleting; this is a timeline of when quality decreased. But, I think Shiro was a way better leader than Keith since he has the experience and personality of one. Keith is more of a second-in-command, at least for me.
3. Allura and Lance should have never gotten together.
This ship was all over the place. First Lance had a huge unrequited crush on Allura, then he seemed to be moving on and she was in love with Lotor. The development was rushed near the end, and their chemistry was kind of awkward to me.
4. I wasn’t super upset about Allura’s death. Just the way it was written.
Allura never really connected with me. I really tried to like her as much as most of the main characters, but I couldn't feel it. Her death was sudden and lukewarm, especially the goodbye between her and the Voltron crew. There was this feeling of emptiness in this reunion. The circumstances of why she had to die was meh. It would've been better if the lions sacrificed themselves instead.
5. Klance is very overrated(still kind of ship it tho).
This ship was everywhere, and some Klance shippers I've seen were toxic which turned me off for a while. At first, I felt kind of pressured to like this ship since Klance shippers populated the fandom. Now, I genuinely enjoy the ship, though I wish other ships gained more attention.
6. Shiro’s second arm design was bad.
I loved his first arm and was super upset when the designers did a 180 on the second one. It was so clunky and distracting whenever it was in full view. The detached portion of it was really annoying too.
When it comes to robotic limbs, I want them to look natural with the body.
7. Having so many villains was not a great idea.
I've watched shows with a lot of villains and they mostly put me off since some of them were one-note and generic. I really didn't like when Lotor was the temporary villain; he could've been a great ally for the finale. Honerva was pretty rushed and boring; she would have been better if she was the main villain much longer than two seasons. Zarkon was probably the best one.
8. Compared to villains in general, Honerva wasn’t too bad.
Compared to a lot of villains (especially the minor ones), Honerva is okay. I don't think she was great though. She needed a lot more development and her redemption was so quick.
I didn’t have a lot to say since most of my strong opinions are about the last two seasons and I agree with most of the fans.

Like, why is that what’s crazy? If I went to space and there were humans with pointed ears, glowy things under their eyes, and magical powers, THATS what would shock me.
How is it that a whole other part of the universe has a planet with similar beings existing on it, and they aren’t related at all?
Also they speak a dialect of English??? HOW DO THEY SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE-
I know it’s just a show, and it’s made for kids, but THIS IS A BRAIN TWISTER FOR ME.
Another thing, how tf did the patriarchy also exist on another part of the universe???
This might be a stretch but-
It’s kinda crazy that the patriarchy also occurred for the Galra, like even though Honerva’s Altean, SHES the one who discovered Quintessence, not Zarkon. (I think)
Maybe it’s because he was a paladin of Voltron and he’s Galran? But even so, Honerva killed the other paladins from what I remember, did she not? (So she asserted dominance LOL)
Also Lotor and most of the Galra called Honerva “The Witch”, they didn’t even call her Haggar, but hey called her a WITCH.
Yes, she does magic, and she’s Altean, but we’re there not other druids too alongside her? They never called them witches.
And even the claim that she’s Altean, I know this is a fault of character, but she’s literally proven her loyalty to Zarkon. She works under him, has been with the Galra for numerous years, hell, SHE EVEN HAD A KID WITH HIM. But I guess they’re so corrupt by the Quintessence that they just forgor!!
Another thing is, there’s mostly men in the Galran army, why is that?
I can count on my hands how many (full) Galran women I’ve seen throughout the show.
This is either that the people behind the scenes didn’t bother to draw women, or that Zarkon purposely chose men to fight for him.
Basically what I’m trying to say is, we don’t pay enough attention to how wild the concept of this show is.
Four random ass teenagers and some dude who got abducted were chosen to be in control of this space super weapon that is supposed to defend the universe from this race of aliens that are all chasing after some sort of a space drug that is essentially made up of LIFE FORCE.
DO YOU KNOW HOW CRAZY THAT IS????

I can’t help comparing the VOLTRON ships to the new Star wars film’s ships! (Its not how the characters act necessarily, just kind certain parallels I see) (also tiny spoilers)
I feel like Allurance was like ReyxFinn bc there was potential romance then they were “Nope! But they’re besties tho!”
And Klance is like Poe×Finn because most people ship it, they have limited screen time together, some of the cast members ship it, but the fandoms are like “is it gonna happen??? Please??”
Obviously Lotura is Reylo bc I didn’t fucking think they were actually gonna do it, but it’s like do I trust him or??? Also that holding hands thing??? MY HEART!
Pidge and Hunk are like FinnxRose, not only b3cause the big cinnamon role and the badass cute tiny girl, but they just understand each other so well and I feel like are the least problematic??
I’m not saying Zarkon is like Han Solo AT ALL! But Lotor did kill his dad a lot like one Kylo Ren.. (I know Kylo did a BAD thing and Lotor did a good thing in their acts– I’m just saying)
I feel like Shallura could be like Han and Leia because, ya know, they both are leaders and stuff happens and they feel distant but you can tell they care for each other so much??

I finished Season 3 last night and can't get over how the writers wrote Zarkon and Honerva's realtionship. It was so passionate and true and genuinely one of the best relationships of the show.
Villain couples are perfect when done like this.
The fact that Zarkon did everything in his power to save his wife, even dying together-- My god, my heart swelled up.
But shoutout to the first team Voltron, you really believed that shoving a sword into a hole would close it? Were you guys born yesterday?
Parallels between Zarkon/Honerva and Keith/Pidge!!!
Ok.. so... I was rewatching Voltron when I noticed some parallels between Zanerva and Kidge. These are just theories so nothing is canon but I noticed that there are many thing so similar and that's pretty strange...
The way they met each other.
We know that Zarkon met Honerva when she was doing experiments and studying the portals of the differents reality, and Zarkon saw Honerva for the first time thanks to her cat Koba.
Well... Keith and Pidge really met for the first time when they went on Arus and decided to be a team for save the universe. Personally, I don't think they had a talk when they resqued Shiro but that's not the point. The point is how they met: thanks to the lions which are made with the comet that can travel through realities. Lions and cats are felines, so the same family.
2. The person who they both know
Honerva knew King Alfor since school (as we see in her memories on s8), while Zarkon knew King Alfor since they did the alliance, but they had never met before the comet's discovery. King Alfor is an altean.
As we know, Keith knew Lance since the Garrison, and so Pidge, and I add one more: it was Lance that decided to follow Keith when he tried to resque Shiro, while Pidge followed Lance. But there's more... Allura gave Lance altean marks on s8, so he's in part altean now...
3. Quintessence
Just don't be scared...
We know that both Honerva and Zarkon were corrupted by quintessence: Honerva worked with it while Zarkon went in close contact upon entering the rift. Allura told us that quintessence awakened the violent and evil nature of Zarkon (As we will also see with Lotor and the paladins in s6).
In s1 we can see Pidge working on the Galra cristal, which is full of quintessence, while Keith he hit a container of quintessence while fighting a druid, spilling some on himself. Familiar right?
Well, someone would say that that quintessence just cured him, but we can see that Zarkon could breath in space without oxygen, and in s6 Keith, while he was fighting with Shiro's clone, was still breathing in space without his elmet. In the same episode, we can see his Galra form awaken, in fact he became more violent... Just a coincidence?
And... they both entered in the rift...
4. Family
Have you ever seen how much they were willing to sacrifice everything for their family?
I mean... Honerva literally destroyed everything while Zarkon betrayed his friends and team for save his wife...
Pidge was very determined to find her dad and Matt and, as we can see in s1 ep1, she countered the mission to search for them or otherwise find information about them. And It's not the only time she does this. In s5, when Zarkon wanted Lotor in exchange for Sam Holt, we see how she is willing to do anything to get her father back, yelling at Matt, Shiro and all her team mates; not to forget that in s1 she threatened to quit the team for the same reason.
Keith is also willing to sacrifice his life for the people he cares about, such as Naxela for example. Also in s8, while the team is in Honerva's mind, you can see very well how he tries hard to save Pidge in particular, shooting and hitting the surface with the bayard, then falling to his knees and surrendering in defeat.
5. The titles
Ok... Now let's think about it...
Zarkon was a Galra black paladin..
Keith was also a Galra black paladin...
Honerva was a scientist...
Pidge is also a scientist...
Both are a Galra black paladin and a scientist!
Also, at the end of s8, Keith said that the Galra wanted him as their leader, but he refused. If he had accepted, the parallel would have been somewhat worse...
6. Pidge as Honerva references
Also, we can see how much Pidge and Honerva look similar extriorly.
For example, when she was working on the Galra crystal on s1, but there's more! In s4, when she was searching Matt, she went on a planet for a merchant, and she was wearing a black hood at the time, similar to Honerva's…
And, on s5, when Hunk, Lance and Pidge programmed a robot for fun, made some selfies. In one, we can see Pidge wearing Honerva's hood...
And that's all guys. But these are just crazy theories of mine. One thing I really wanted to say is that English is not my first language so there must be some kind of mistakes and I'm sorry about that...
Ok so... I wake up this morning with a crazy idea.
I was wondering about a fic when all the Voltron team are youtubers and they're youtubers name are like the originals paladins names. Maybe Keith is Zarkon, Lance is Alfor, Hunk is Gyrgan, Allura is Meleanor (idk parallels and the ship), Matt is Trygel, Romelle is Blayts (?) and Pidge is Honerva?????? And when they play minecraft the story is like the original paladin ones?????? PARALLELS, PARALLELS EVERYWHERE

What if?
I was rewatching the first episode of Voltron: Legendary defender when Allura spoke about the lions abilities and who was gonna pilot them.
She said that the red lion is temperamental and the most difficult to master, it's faster and more agile than the others, but also more unstable. In the Italian dub, Allura say the adjective "vulnerabile" wich means "vulnerable". Since I'm Italian and I watch Voltron for the most part in Italian, and idea came in my mind.
We all know that before Keith the paladin of the red lion was Allura's father, King Alfor, and how did he died? Killed by his best friend and his trusted leader. In fact, as we see in the flashback, the red lion is the first to connect with his paladin, and Alfor didn't no anything.
So my theory is that the red lion want her paladin's trust before let the paladin piloting her because of what happened to Alfor...
Just a silly dream...
Saturday I'm seeing the FNAF movie, and scrolling on TikTok I literally saw a LOT of spoilers... (That I won't say here bc... ya know) and I had a crazy dream last night...
I was in the Freddy Fazbear Pizzeria at night, and I dreamed that the missing children were the Voltron characters!
Freddy was Shiro, Foxy was Lance, Bonnie was Hunk and Chica was Romelle! Also Pidge was the puppet and Keith was the Crying child!
But wait, there is more! I dreamed that William Afton was Zarkon and Allura and Lotor were his children! (Also Keith but adopted like CC aha). Lotor was literally Micheal Afton while Allura was a normal girl that helped Lotor killing Keith but then regretted...
And also Sam Holt was Mr. Emily?????
AND I WAS WITH ALLURA IN THIS FUCKING PIZZERIA A LOT OF YEARS LATER BC ZARKON WAS BACK BUT FOXY (LANCE), BONNIE (HUNK), FREDDY (SHIRO) AND CHICA (ROMELLE) WERE EVIL BECAUSE OF HIM AND WE NEEDED TO FIND KEITH AND PIDGE AS GOLDEN FREDDY AND THE PUPPET I CANT'-
Can someone make an AU please...? I'm too Lazy and busy to do one of myself...
Okay, this is not a serious post at ALL but I'm into Epic-the musical soo, here we are. There is a song called Scylla which now is one of my favourite, most because of the last part and I can't stop thinking about this.
The song is this one.
So, about at the end, when Scylla appear, I just imagine the former paladin Trygel, Gyrgan and Blitz being terrified seeing Zarkon. Then, he move a bit on the left to reveal Honera/Haggar and one of them say "Run for your Life!"
Then, the same Honerva/Haggar is the one singing while killing them, her voice changing because she's no more Honerva, but Haggar, a witch, a monster, while Zarkon is just watching.
A Voltron Rant
In Voltron season 8 episodes 9 & 10.
The old Paladins meet their predecessors and each talk to them.
Battle skills, entities inside them, kindness, their relationship with their daughter, their leadership skills because of their lineage.
Lance wasn’t the only one thrown under the bus, Keith was to.
Keith: “no we won’t give up!”
Zarkon: “that’s your galra lineage. It’s what makes you a great leader of Voltron. You and I share that trait...”
I just sat there like “so your putting all of Keith’s leadership abilities on his heritage, so what about Shiro?” Where’d the character go? Oh wait with season 4.
Like yes Galrans are good leaders (Lotor, Sendak, Ranveig, Zarkon -before the quintessence poisoning-, Kolivan) but still it kinda just sucks that he got all his leadership skills stuffed into the fact of being Galra.
I would have loved it if it was something like ....
Zarkon: that’s what makes you a good leader your undying love for your family, friends and fellow Paladins.
I would have cried if that was said because it was probably true for Zarkon just as much as it is for Keith.
