I was wondering about a fic when all the Voltron team are youtubers and they're youtubers name are like the originals paladins names. Maybe Keith is Zarkon, Lance is Alfor, Hunk is Gyrgan, Allura is Meleanor (idk parallels and the ship), Matt is Trygel, Romelle is Blayts (?) and Pidge is Honerva?????? And when they play minecraft the story is like the original paladin ones?????? PARALLELS, PARALLELS EVERYWHERE

Allurance wasn't forced. The two of them were in perfect harmony with each other from the first seasons, moreover more than once Allura makes us understand that Lance mirrors her father a bit and that in any case she is very close to him. Also in s6 ep1 she looked at him one way and I can assure friends don't look that way.
The ships. I have nothing against ships, but I have to admit that many are really shameful. I'm not talking about popular ships like Klance, Sheith, Adashi, Plance… (Which I have nothing against. I don't ship them but I respect them and I respect those who ship them). I really hope people are joking when they create tags like Krolia/Lance or Ina Leifdottir/Coran because, no offence, what have you been drinking while watching the series??? (And I'm not kidding, I actually found them on ao3)
Allura is not lesbian. In every tiktok video where head canons are shown on the sexuality of the various characters I always see that Allura is shown as a lesbian. I get that Lotura and Allurance sucked in the fandom (especially among the klance shippers), but Allura definitely can't be a lesbian. She literally dating two men, she can't be a lesbian!

Kidge was planned to be canon?
I have a very interesting theory regarding the Kidge background during s8 and why Allurance was a bit "sudden or forced".
From what the producers have said about the romance on the show, the ship that was supposed to be canon would come as a bit of a surprise to the fandom, making for a not very popular ship. Eventually we see Allurance become canon, yet it is from the first season that we see Lance's feelings for Allura, also already from the sixth season we also notice some changes in Allura. Yet this ship made canon was not a big surprise that sparked amazement among the fandom. So what was this ship that was supposed to come true?
Simple, Kidge. The problem is that then, making this ship canonical or at least in a very open relationship like the Allurance, it would not have followed the reserved characters of Keith and Pidge and therefore would have spoiled the characters a bit. Let's face it, no one would ever imagine Keith and Pidge making out in a room full of people.
So the producers decided to make Allurance canonical and leave Kidge as a background ship to better respect the characters.
As I repeat these are all theories and nothing is actually really true.

Kidge headcanon n.5 (little angst)
When the team returned on Earth after they won against Sendak, they decided to celebrate womens day since Allura, Romelle and Shay never celebrated one. So Shiro, Lance and Hunk went to the girls with a big bouquet of mimosas. So Allura though that "every gentleman gives to a lady a bouquet on this day" since Lance explained her what was womens day.
She got really mad with Keith, cause from him she didn't recieved any flower. But the real reason was that he was busy to buy the biggest bouquet ever for Pidge, the only one to which none has given anything....
Future children pt.2 (Allurance!!!!)
So… Allurance is right after Kidge! Yes, because Lance and Allura, even though she's dead, for me they will always have a happy married life with children and grandchildren!
Zaphia: Dark skin, brown hair, blue Altean markings, round ears and blue eyes. She's good at piloting and a lover of alchemy and water, always curious and playful, but balancing responsibility to outrageousness.
Alfor: olive skin (that of Lance to be clear …), white hair, turquoise eyes, pink Altean signs, pointed ears. He is outgoing and curious, always ready to have fun and learn new things. Impulsive and quite vengeful, but still sweet and he loves alchemy too. He is 4 years younger than Zaphia.
Alex (Alexander??): Olive skin, blue/lilac eyes, white hair and pointed ears, no Altean signs. He is fast and rebellious, he never follows the rules and always gets into trouble, he has a great passion for light combat and legends. He loves Monsters and Mana.
El (Elizabeth???): Olive skin, pink/lilac eyes, white hair and pointy ears, no Altean markings. She is very calm and focused, shy and kind, always composed. She has excellent aim and a passion for video games.
El and Alex are twins and are 4 years younger than Alfor and 8 years younger than Zaphia.
Allurance headcanon n.1
At Halloween, the kids decided to dress as the voltron lions. Mark and Hinata were the black, Athena the red, Ryner the green, Gryss and Max were the yellow, and of course Zaphia were the blue lion.
Allura was pregnant that year, and she was very very tired, so Lance decided to stay home with her and Zaphia.
When the little one found out, she immediatly run to her mother, crying.
"But muuuum! We can't form Voltron without me!" She said. At the end, Allura decided to go just for her words...
"Seeing Keith and Pidge togheter remainds me of me and Allura. They look at each other like we used to. But it's funny knowing that they don't notice that, I mean, friends don't look at each other like that...!"
