You Are Enough - Tumblr Posts
i wish i could give all the characters a big hug because they deserve itđ i also might make a longer version because i wanted to include so many more characters but i ran out of time :(
anyway, enjoy! the song is âyou are enoughâ by sleeping at last :)
a gentle reminder:
eat something. take your medicine. you are not a burden to others. your emotions are just as real as theirs and deserve to be listened to. relax your jaw and shoulders. itâs okay to take a break sometimes you deserve rest. itâs okay to be yourself. youâre not hard to love and anyone who opposes that does not deserve your time. youâre going to be okay.

Good Enough - Cas Imagine
Cas x reader
Summary: You and Cas get in a fight.
You whirled around to the angel behind you. âWhy? Why did I do it?â You screamed. âBecause I needed toâ Casâ face was hard. His lips pinched into a straight line. His eyes narrowed. âYou were stupidâ He growled. Sam and Dean stood behind him at the motel you were staying at. You seen Dean wince at Casâ poor choice of words. Sam stepped forwards but Dean grabbed him shaking his head violently.
You stepped closer to him. âIt was an excellently thought out plan, until YOU-â You jabbed his chest. â-Decided you couldnât put aside whatever it is thatâs going on with you and jump in the wayâ You screamed at him. âI just had to clean up your messâ Cas took in a deep breath and glared at you. âYou were reckless, you could have diedâ You rolled your eyes. âYeah, and you couldnât have, If I got hurt I got hurt, Iâve gotten hurt before Castielâ You snapped.
He took in a deep breath closing his eyes and you knew he was loosing patience with this argument. It had been going on for almost an hour, since you had left the old warehouse on the opposite side of town. Honestly, you were surprised that Sam and Dean ad put up with you two fighting in the back seat for this long. Especially Dean, you thought he would have snapped by now.
Castielâs hand reached out and wrapped his hand around your arm. âYou can not speak like that, your life matters, you can not just do what you want on a huntâ Castiel scolded you as if he was a parent talking to a child. As f you had just stolen a cookie before dinner, like you werenât a grown ass woman who had been hunting for all your life. âWhen you hunt thatâs what happens, we die die young, we get over itâ You snapped.
You seen Dean tug on Samâs arm. He pulled him away from the car and towards the motel room. âWe put our lives in danger to save others, our lives donât matter if theirs donâtâ Castielâs hand tightened around your arm, it was almost becoming unbearably tight. You kept the hard look on your face. âThen stop, stop huntingâ Your jaw fell slack. Dean stopped by the door.
Both him and Sam looked back at the two of you. Deanâs hand was hovering over the handle of the door. âGive it up?â You let out a laugh. you were on shock. Give up hunting? Hunting was your life. âYou can do research, but no huntingâ He nodded. He got a satisfied look on his face like he had just figured out the answer to all the worldâs problems.
You froze, he was serious, very serious. âIâm not giving up hunting Castielâ You shook your head. His eyes snapped back down to you. âOf course you are, I forbid you from hunting. That is the end of this discussionâ He let go of your arm turning around. âWoah, woahâ Dean stepped closer to you two intercepting Castiel making him com to a halt.
Yor shock wore off leaving you with a pit of anger in your stomach. Your eyes narrowed at the Angelâs back. Your fingers curled up into fists your nails digging into the palms of your hand. You body tensed. âForbid me?â You let all the ange pill out in your scream. Sam flinched behind Dean. Deanâs eyes widened when the flicked over Castielâs shoulder to you. âYou can not forbid me from hunting, itâs my lifeâ Castiel turned around slowly. âY/n, you are reckless. You can not hunt it is for the bestâ Your mouth dropped.
He couldnât forbid you from hunting, sure, hunting was dangerous and sometimes you had to take risks, that was a given. But Castiel couldnât forbid you from hunting, that was ridiculous. âYou canât tell me what I can and can not do with my lifeâ You growled stalking up to him. âI can, and I will, if I see you hinting again I will not be so rationalâ You scoffed. Rational, Castiel was being the opposite of rational. He was forbidding you from hunting for crying out loud, that wa the furthest thing from rational you could think of.
He nodded taking your fuming silence for agreement. âYou will not hunt againâ He clarified. He was using that I am an Angel of the Lord voice. The one he used when he was confronted with a demon or someone who needed to be ordered around. âYou are too reckless, it puts your life in danger and others around you. Right now, you are not meant to huntâ Dean took in a sharp deep breath behind Castiel.
Sam visibly flinched and began to rush forwards. Not meant to hunt? Did he really just say that to you? That you werenât meant to do something youâd been trained to do since you were little. You werenât meant to follow in your Motherâs footsteps? Before you could help it your hand snapped out. Castiel stumbled slightly from the blow to his face. âHow dare youâ You screamed. If you had been in a comic there would be steam coming out of your ears right now. âYou absolute asshole, like you know anything about hunting. Youâre a stuck up stupid ass Angel, you pretentious prickâ Castiel looked back at you.
His hand went to his cheek gingerly touching the spot you had struck. Deanâs eyes were wide, his jaw slack watching you. Never since he had known you had he seen you this angry. And heâd known you for years, he had been there when your Father was killed by a witch. You had called him for back up when you went to gank her. And not even then had he seen you this angry, it was just spite and hatred that had shone through then. And a desire for revenge. This time was different, Castiel had struck a nerve, and heâd definitely hurt your feelings.
Castiel opened his mouth to speak. âNoâ You snarled. âDonât even tryâ You shook your head. You turned stalking away from the three men. âY/nâ You heard Samâs voice call. âWaitâ You waved at him over your shoulder as you turned out of the motel stomping down the road.
You watched as the whiskey twirled in the glass. All your anger had disappeared by now, you had been sitting in this small bar for over three hours. Now you only felt hurt if you were honest.
Was that really what Cas thought of you? Did he really think you werenât good enough to be a hunter? It was all you knew, you had barely went to school. You were thought lore instead of chemistry, how to take apart and put back together a gun instead of how to write an essay.
Hunting was everything in your life, it was your life. Without it you didnât have anything. Hunting was in your blood, it was what your family had done for generations. There was nothing else, only hunting. And seemingly you werenât good enough for it, you werenât good enough to be a hunter. You sighed closing your eyes.
But that wasnât what really hurt you, what hurt you was that it came from Castiel. The man you had admired since you had met thought you werenât good enough. You were a researcher to him, not good enough to go out, to fight, to hunt. He seem you as someone weak, someone who should be left at home like a child. You hadnât seen left at home since you were 11 years old.
You always knew you werenât as good as the brothers, you never moved as in tune with them as they moved with each other. You always stuck out like a sore thumb with them. Even Castiel fit in better with them, he was better at this than you, true he had Angel powers on you but he was still more in tune with the boys. You didnât work with people, you never worked with other hunters. The boys were the first people youâd worked with since your Father.
Maybe you just werenât good enough for them, you were probably better off on your own. That way if you screwed up you wouldnât bring the boys down with you. Castiel wouldnât have to jump in front of you. He wouldnât have to try and help you. Maybe you were reckless, maybe you shouldnât work with people. You were a good enough hunter on your own, just not with others.
You felt someone sit beside you. âWhatâs a girl like you doing here alone?â A deep voice asked as its owner leaned closer to you. âTrying to get some alone timeâ You answered. âThatâs a hard drink for such a little womanâ You turned your head looking up at him. He was pretty, youâd give him that. âLook, I appreciate it and all but seriously I just want to be left aloneâ You told him. You werenât in the mood for this.
You downed the rest of the whiskey and held up the glass. The bartender nodded at you and you slid it to the other side of the bar. âAnything you want to talk about?â The man beside you had righted himself. He was sitting in the stool properly his body facing forwards. He cradled a beer in his hands. âNot exactlyâ You shook your head and thanked the bartender as he filled your glass again sliding it back to you. âFight with a boyfriend?â He asked.
You sighed closing your eyes. You took a deep breath and opened your eyes turning your head towards him. You were ready to go off at him but when your eyes landed on his face your words caught in your throat. His expression as only filled with concern and interest. âA friendâ You shrugged taking a gulp from your glass. âA fight with a friend, he thinking I canât do my job properly, Iâm too recklessâ You didnât look at him as you told him but stared at your glass.
He sat silent for a moment. âWhat is it you do?â He asked. âFBIâ You told him without missing a beat, itâs what you told all of them. The guys you met in bars, you were always FBI or a journalist or something along those lines. âFBI isnât a job I associated with recklessâ You looked up from your glass to find him smiling at you. âIt is when it involves saving someoneâs lifeâ He nodded understandingly. âJoeâ He held out his hand to you. âY/nâ You took his hand in yours.
You threw another bag in the boot. âHey' You looked up to see Joe walking from your motel room. You smiled at him closing the trunk of the banged up old car. âLeaving so soon?â He smirked. You nodded. You had gotten talking to him after he had approached you, you had told him about your fight with Castiel and had gotten talking. You had both drank a little too much and ended up in your motel room. âDuty callsâ You shrugged. He nodded. âIt was nice talking to you, thank you for the nightâ He smiled down at you. âYouâre welcomeâ He leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
You smiled watching him as he strode from the lot. Just as he was leaving Sam came jogging in by him. You groaned. Joe turned and gave you one last wave, you waved back at him. Samâs eyes fell on you and he glanced between the two of you. He jogged over to you.
He stopped beside you panting and sweaty. He raised an eyebrow at you. âYou not coming with us?â He asked. You shook your head leaning on the car. âI think itâs time that I got back out there you know?â He furrowed his eyebrow. âIs this about Cas last night?â He leaned against the trunk beside you. âI donât work well with you guys, I know that. Iâve known that from the beginningâ You shrugged pushing yourself up. âI work better on my ownâ You felt his hand wrap around your arm.Â
You turned and looked up at the lovable giant. âCas was worried, he cares about you. Sure he over reacted but itâs just because he was worried about youâ Samâs face was soft and open. âHe canât heal you now without everything,heâs just worriedâ You sighed and pulled away from him shaking your head. âSam, I put you guys in danger, itâs fine.Like I said, I work better on my ownâ He strode around you. He slammed his hand on the door when you took the handle in your hand keeping it from opening.
You glared up with him. âHeyâ He smiled down at you. âY/nâ He sighed and you narrowed your eyes at him. âAt least have breakfast with usâ You shook your head. It was bad enough that Sam had caught you about to leave. With the way Castiel had reacted yesterday you didnât want to see him before you left. Who knows how he would react to you wanting to go on your own. âWe wonât make you stay Y/nâ Sam leaned down a little. âDean and Cas will want to say goodbye, you canât sneak offâ You sighed and nodded.
You followed Sam back to the room. âI was going to text you know, I just didnât want to deal with Cas going off on meâ Sam nodded understandingly opening the door. âHe doesnât think Iâm good enough to hunt with you he definitely will freak out if he knew I was going off on my ownâ You explained stepping into the room and Sam stepped in behind you.
He looked over your shoulder and you tensed. âYou wanted to leave?â You closed your eyes at the deep voice coming from the corner of the room. Sam patted your shoulder. He had planned this, that much was obvious. âI need a shower, Deanâs out for breakfastâ You opened your eyes to see him walking across the room towards the bathroom. He gave you a smile before shutting and locking the door.
You looked back at Castiel. He was looking at you with a frown, his eyes squinted and head tilted. You sighed and began walking towards him. You pulled out the chair across from him and sat down on it. âYes, I was going to leave. Itâs for the bestâ You told him. His frown got deeper at your words. âYou can not leaveâ He grumbled. âWhy because Iâm not a good enough hunter to go out on my own? Because I should be in here reading while everyone else is out there risking their lives? Because Iâm not good enough to hunt with you?â You snapped at him and crossed your arms.
His brows unfurrowed and shot up. âWhy would you not be good enough? Youâre an excellent hunterâ Castiel breathed. You looked away from his face. Your eyes fell on Samâs laptop. âIs this because of what I said yesterday? I was going to apologise today, I did not mean what I said to you. I do not know why I said those thingsâ You remained silent not wanting to speak to him. âI realised I was wrong for saying those things the moment you struck me. I did not mean to doubt your abilitiesâ You bit your lip and looked down at your fingers as they picked as your hoodie. âI shouldnât have hit you regardless, I apologisedâ You said coldly, your voice a monotone. You did feel bad for hitting him and you regretted it but you werenât going to let yourself get invested.
You heard Castiel sigh. âPlease donât use that tone with me Y/n. I did not mean anything I said. I-I do not know what was wrong with me. I just acted on the feelings I hadâ That got your attention. Castiel was always so stiff, sure he expressed feelings but for him to admit it straight out like that was odd. You looked up at him.
He was still staring at you. âWhat feelings?â Castiel pursed his lips and blinked slowly. âI was afraid, I could have lost. I did not think you had intercepted that knife. I thought you were hurt. I panicked and then I realised you were okay. I was relieved, even happy. But I realised it was easy to lose you. One false move on a hunt and I could lose youâ He paused for a second and you could feel your resolve melting. âI was worried I was going to lose you, I do not want to have to watch you die and hunters dieâ Castiel confessed. You felt your eyes well up slightly.
You stood quickly and walked around the table. You bent and wrapped your arms around his shoulders. He tensed but you kept holding him. âYou wonât lose me Cas. Okay you mightâ You whispered âBut Iâll go out helping someone and doing what I need to do, what I love doing. Iâll go out fighting and with a gun in my handâ You let go of him and stood up straight. He looked up at you his eyes wide. âIâll go out the way I should go outâ He nodded.
You smiled slightly. âYou are good enough. You are the best hunter I have ever seen. The Winchesters are not even as good as you. I believed if I kept you doing research I could keep you alive longerâ Castiel stood and now it was you looking up at him. âI worry for you. I over reacted. I am sorry. you are good enough to hunt you are an amazing hunter. I do not know how I can to assure you of that factâ Castiel reached out hesitantly.
His hand hovered over your shoulder for a second before he turned his hand and softly placed it on your cheek. He leaned forwards and pressed his lips to your forehead. It was an action that allowed you to close your eyes and shivered slightly. You smiled.
Castiel pulled his soft lips from your forehead, but only an inch so you could still feel his warm breath on your skin. âStay and I will tell you everyday how good you are, I will make take away your doubts that you are not enough. You will always be enoughâ Castiel promised. âIâll stayâ You breathed and wrapped your arms around his torso pulling him into a hug he responded to this time.

You are loved. You arenât too big, you arenât to skinny. Youâre perfect. Donât cut yourself please-it may seem like itâs a good therapy but itâs just hurting yourself. Donât end your life, you may not feel it, but somebody needs you.

Concept: you are waking up in the king sized bed, looking through the windows, it's sunny outside, you open them and the fresh air comes in, you go to the kitchen, breakfast is waiting for you on the big round white table and also the love of your life, kissing you on the forehead, saying 'hi, beautiful'.
Concept: at night, you are tightly pressed to your loved one in the same king sized bed, he is whispering on your ear 'i love you so much' as you slowly fall asleep
Concept: you are loved, forgiven for all of your mistakes, cherished for being you, feeling attracting and confident, peaceful and relaxed. You are happy.

Re blog and save a life, please.
Dear stranger,
have you ever cried so hard that you couldn't recognize your voice afterwards? Have you ever cried so hard that you couldn't breathe and was afraid you'd die?
If you have, remember that you have made it another day, week, month and year. You're still here. You're here for a reason. Don't give up. Keep going.
When it's hard, you feel like you want to give up, but what if instead when you want to hide from the world all that could save you would be a hug, a cup of tea and a sweet word?
As I'm writing this, I can't help but wonder what the future holds. We may have a lot of dark days ahead, but the sun always comes up after the storm.
Have you ever noticed how quickly and peacefully the sky pulls herself together after it rains? How the next day the sun comes up and it shines even more beautiful than before?
Each one of us cry, some harder, some much more often than others. Crying is good. I know you think to yourself, that you're weak when you cry, but you're strong. You're strong because after you stop crying, you get up and have to go on with your daily life. Even washing your face and drinking some water afterwards can be a big effort, but it means that you take care of yourself, as you should. It means you're on the right way.
So next time you cry, cry long and hard. After you finish, listen to some healing music, get up from your bed and go to work, to school, take a walk...etc. Tell yourself it'll get better. Because it always will.
If you feel like nothing makes sense anymore, believe me it does. Everything is for a reason, and everything that's broken, has got a cure, a healing. Speak to someone, there are so many people that feel exactly like you do.
You will get through it. I believe in you.
- from a stranger, that feels just like you
Telling a bi/pan/aro/ace/demi/queer person they âarenât gay enoughâ as a queer person means you failed as a member of the lgbtq community. Disgusting.
Olivia Rodrigo was so right when she said âpretty isnât pretty enoughâ. There are pretty girls everywhere but anytime we arenât dolled up to the nines we are just average and itâs not good enough??? Like itâs not Instagram worthy if you donât look amazing, you donât get the same compliments you would about your looks dress down as you do dressed up. Pretty isnât pretty enough because society makes us feel like being pretty is constantly looking perfect. Anyway you are all really pretty and you donât have to change in the slightest to be pretty enoughđ

The Power of Self-Love: Embracing Your Inner Light
Shaina Tranquilino
August 17, 2023

In a world that constantly bombards us with expectations, comparisons, and judgments, it's easy to forget the most important relationship we will ever haveâthe one with ourselves. Self-love is not just a trendy buzzword; it is a fundamental pillar for personal growth and happiness. Let's explore why practicing self-love is crucial and how it can transform our lives.
1. Understanding Self-Love:
Self-love is often misunderstood as being selfish or narcissistic. However, it goes beyond superficial vanity. It is about accepting ourselves fully, embracing our strengths and weaknesses, and treating ourselves with kindness and compassion. It involves recognizing our inherent worthiness as human beings and prioritizing our mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
2. Nurturing Our Mindset:
Cultivating self-love begins by reshaping our mindset. We need to challenge negative self-talk, replace self-criticism with self-compassion, and affirm our own worthiness. By acknowledging our achievements, setting realistic expectations, and celebrating small victories, we foster a positive mindset that fuels self-esteem.
3. Practicing Self-Care:
Self-care is an essential component of self-love since it involves nourishing our mind, body, and soul. Taking care of ourselves allows us to replenish our energy reserves and maintain balance in life's chaos. Whether it's engaging in activities we enjoy, maintaining healthy boundaries, getting enough sleep or seeking professional help when neededâself-care is an act of love towards ourselves.
4. Setting Healthy Boundaries:
Learning to set boundaries is crucial for maintaining healthy relationships both personally and professionally. By establishing what we are comfortable with and communicating effectively, we protect ourselves from unnecessary stressors or toxic dynamics that drain our energy levels. Prioritizing our well-being reinforces the importance of self-love and ensures we surround ourselves with positivity.
5. Embracing Imperfections:
Perfectionism is an enemy of self-love, constantly pushing us to chase unattainable standards. Instead, let's embrace our imperfections as a testament to our humanity. Recognize that mistakes are stepping stones towards growth and understand that self-worth is not contingent upon external validation or achievements. By embracing authenticity, we liberate ourselves from the pressure to conform and foster self-acceptance.
6. Practicing Gratitude:
Gratitude is a powerful tool for cultivating self-love. Taking time each day to acknowledge the things we appreciate about ourselves helps shift our focus from what's missing in our lives to what we already have. By expressing gratitude for our unique qualities, talents, and experiences, we develop a deeper sense of self-love and contentment.
Self-love is not a destination but rather a lifelong journeyâan ongoing commitment to nurturing ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It allows us to move through life with confidence, resilience, and compassion for others. When we prioritize self-love, we become more resilient in facing challenges, form healthier relationships, and unlock our true potential. So let's embark on this transformative path todayâembracing our inner light and celebrating the beautiful individuals we truly are!
Donât Compare Yourself to Others: Shine Like the Sun and Moon in Your Own Time
Shaina Tranquilino
November 23, 2023

It's easy to fall into the trap of measuring our self-worth against others. Whether it's through achievements, appearance, or possessions, we often find ourselves comparing our lives to those around us. However, it's crucial to remember that each of us has a unique journey and purpose. Just like the sun and moon shine in their own time, we too can nurture our individuality and embrace our own path.
1. Embrace your uniqueness: Just as the sun is distinct from the moon, each person possesses qualities that make them special. Comparing yourself to others only diminishes your confidence and hampers personal growth. Instead, focus on recognizing your strengths, talents, and passions that set you apart from everyone else. Embrace your uniqueness wholeheartedly and understand that your individual journey brings its own value.
2. Set realistic goals: While it's natural to feel inspired by other people's achievements, constantly comparing yourself might lead to unrealistic expectations. Remember that success is subjective â what may work for someone else might not be suitable for you. Set your own goals based on your capabilities, interests, and aspirations. By doing so, you'll create a roadmap tailored specifically to your needs, ensuring fulfillment when achieving these milestones.
3. Celebrate small victories: The sun doesn't wait for applause before casting its brilliant light upon the earth every morning; similarly, don't underestimate the power of celebrating even minor accomplishments along your path. Acknowledge every step forward you take towards reaching your goals â no matter how insignificant they may seem at first glance. By appreciating these small victories, you reinforce positive thinking and foster motivation within yourself.
4. Surround yourself with positivity: Comparisons often arise when we surround ourselves with negative influences or toxic environments that breed dissatisfaction. Instead, seek out supportive and uplifting individuals who encourage personal growth. Surrounding yourself with positive energy will help you realize that success is not a limited resource â there is enough for everyone.
5. Cultivate self-compassion: Just as the moon shines brightly during its phase without comparing itself to the sun, it's essential to practice self-compassion. Understand that nobody's journey is perfect, and setbacks are a natural part of life. Be gentle with yourself when faced with challenges or failures and learn from them instead of dwelling on negative comparisons.
In a world where comparison seems inevitable, remember that each of us has our own unique path to walk. By embracing your individuality and focusing on your strengths, you can shine in your own time like the sun and moon. Celebrate small victories along your journey and surround yourself with positivity to foster personal growth. Ultimately, by avoiding comparisons, you'll find fulfillment in being authentically yourself rather than trying to fit into someone else's mould. So let go of comparisons, embrace your uniqueness, and bask in the radiance of your personal journey!
