Being a cocktail waitress came with few perks and several more headaches. The money was great and customers were typically pretty laid back in your club but having rude, inappropriate, drunk patrons every so often was inevitable and tonight was one of those nights.
“Over here, sweetheart,” You hear the head of one of your tables holler at you as you’re busy delivering another patron’s drinks.
You roll your eyes, plastering on a friendly face as you weave through the crowd with a tray full of drinks. The club is packed tonight and you’ve been absolutely slammed running drinks between tables but the money at the end of the night will make up for the pain in the soles of your feet from sauntering around in platform heels for hours on end.
When you approach him, he notes the irritation in your mask and has the audacity to patronize you. “Aw, don’t be like that,” He whines loudly, tipping his beer back and draining the bottle before speaking again. “Be a good girl and bring me another beer, huh? I’ll be sure to give you a real big tip, baby.”
Another rich jerk who thinks he can say whatever he wants.
You scoff loudly but the noise of the club drowns it and you make your way back to the bar, tapping your pen irritably against the counter while the bartender finishes serving someone. Jungkook turns around to see you standing across the bar, absolutely fuming, and his smile falters as he walks over.
“What’s wrong, angel?” He furrows his brows, following the direction of the pen you flick over your shoulder toward the table you’d just left.
“Big shot and his friends over there are seriously getting on my nerves,” You roll your eyes, picking a cherry from over the counter to pop into your mouth before Jungkook can stop you. You’re giggling in delight when he narrows his eyes at you playfully.
“Quit stealing my cherries you little thief,” He chuckles, snapping a wet rag in your direction and just barely missing.

im going to be honest if people really expected a super emotional response from ctubbo then yeah of course theyd be sorta disappointed at his reaction to cranboos death but like.
1- canonically he doesnt know ranboo was on his last life, 2- cctubbo wasnt prepared, 3- ctubbos first and main response to trauma is denial and self-justification of his denial, and 4- weve.. seen him react to death before. he takes a while to emotionally process it then latches on to a problem to Solve so he doesnt have to think about it. he latched onto l'manburg to deal with wilburs death and tommys suicide attempt, he latched onto the security breach when tommy actually died, he latched onto the burger business when his grief about doomsday leaving him with a lack of purpose caught up to him, and now hes latching onto finding michael now that ranboos dead and he has to work with one of his enemies.
ctubbo can be emotional, we saw after the final control room, we saw it during his execution, we saw it during exile negotiations we saw it during one year later, etc etc. but hes logical first. hes been getting number and number to bad things happening, hes lost so many things by this point, may arguably be the character to have lost the most at this point. his reaction to ctechno telling him ranboo died (and, by the way, ctubbo has an easier time slipping into denial when hes given information secondhand, his emotional responses come from being in the moment of something stressful happening to him) is not only realistic but very much in character for ctubbo.
we'll get emotional moments from him, for sure, but it's going to take some time both for cctubbo to actually prepare and plan for everything and for ctubbo to properly process and plan for everything. give him some time, dont make this into another repeat of "ctubbo didnt react to ctommys death so he doesnt care!!!!" because i swear to god i will lose my damn mind if i have to deal with more theories about how ctubbo doesnt care about his loved ones

Thinking about a crack-ish fic where another Hawks comes in from another world, except he's a villain. And Dabi thinks this is the best case scenario. He just won the lottery. Until he realizes he was completely wrong. Hawks isn't a build-a-bear where Dabi can isolate these qualities about him that he likes. Because he doesn't, in fact, like this Hawks. He likes his Keigo.
Except his Keigo is beyond pissed at him for this stunt and will barely even look at him now. Villain Hawks notices what happened, obviously, and thinks this is fucking hilarious. Just entirely unhelpful comments the whole time. "Ooooh you fucked up so bad. Do you know how much we love attention? And you ignored him for a different him? He'll never forgive you."

just watched a video of Max's 2023 season ... and the thing is. we all knew we were watching something great then, something for the history books. but i don't think any of us fully realised then just how magical that season was. we knew it wouldn't repeat itself even as it was happening; we knew that were witnessing a once in a lifetime season, with the connection between driver and car so perfect they were one. but i still don't think that any of us still can fully comprehend just how incredible and untouchable max was in 2023. the way he was winning so dominantly without ever getting complacent, or arrogant about it. it was art. it was just max doing what he was born and raised to do. racing and winning and enjoying and taking it all in. people were saying that he was ruining the sport, that f1 was dead; all while he produced some of the finest racing ever. people didn't appreciate it then, and people still can't fully grasp it now. he knew it was his season. he knew rocky was special, and that he wouldn't have another 2023 maybe ever. which doesn't mean he won't ever have another great season again, but it won't be the same. which is okay. we were all just lucky to witness his greatness, and couldn't even fully appreciate it then.
