Imagining Hawks having a cat. Very cute, with huge innocent eyes that had Hawks in love the minute he saw the thing. It's a nice but extremely stupid cat that has probably never had a single coherent thought. Real baby but spends half of their time together trying to hunt Hawks who despite that has not even once considered getting rid of him. The other half is spent sleeping and eating.
Like, to Hawks, giving the cat back isn't even within the realm of possibility. It's not acceptable. They're family now.
No I will not stop talking about this. Hawks didn't even know heroes existed. When he got out of the house, he wanted it to stay that way. When his father was taken, he did not make a single comment on it, let alone cry over it. He was a freakishly stoic child. The HPSC took him as a child and he stayed with them and became a hero. To be that hero, Hawks let Keigo die.
Dabi trained from the moment he could walk to be a hero. He lived with one of the best heroes and wanted nothing more than his dad to love and be proud of him. When he was taken away from home, all he wanted was to go back. He was such an emotional, expressive kid. AFO tried to recruit him as a child, and failed. Dabi did not want that. He wanted to be with his family. But he couldn't. Because of what he saw, Dabi let Touya die.
Hawks fakes his expressive and carefree personality, until recently. We repeatedly see more of him being honest and real. Dabi fakes being heartless and uncaring, until recently. We finally see him loud and expressive about who he is, about who Endeavor is. But the most interesting part, is almost every case of Hawks' being real is because of Dabi. Either because of the wing burning, or because of the broadcast. Hawks had no desire for anything about him to be shared, yet Dabi could not wait for this moment, to bring the past back and shove it in everyone's face. When Dabi revealed Touya Todoroki to the world, he also revealed Keigo Takami.
So, yeah, Dabihawks is the best duo in existence and nothing you can say will change how fucking top tier their entire dynamic is.

Soft pink looks so good on Hawks. It's his color I don't take criticism. Everytime I see fanart of him where it's used even as a background my ears start buzzing

You know what's cute, is how Hawks' hair after Dabi's barber stint looks exactly the same as how little Keigo's hair looked. The same way his hair looked when Endeavor became his role model and he was taken in by the Commission. In the time after that it had grown much longer, but now it's back to the start. It's like a symbolic reset of his life and I love that.
Oh they're animating the war arc haha I hope things go better this time around :)))

You're allowed to objectify Hawks, but only after you get the proper certification proving you understand the tangling and daunting depths of his characterization on a deeper level. Then you can put him in booty shorts.
Just for the record, I fully support the Hawks pegging agenda. I'm asexual but I would peg him if he asked. Just him though.
Someone becoming better for the sake of just one person is such a good trope, not only in romance but also when it comes to friendship (my favorite) and family. Reminds me of this (beloved) quote from The Bane Chronicles: "He had seen many monsters who could love, but only a few who had let that love change them, who had been able to alchemize love for one person into kindness for many."
You know, I actually like the thought of Dabi being a genuinely shitty person until he sees how it negatively affects Hawks and is then like auujajhhh nevermind I love boundaries and respect
Oooh but like. What if his confidence when it comes to flirting is because he's still playing a role and is used to doing these exact things. But then, it works a little too much, and the closer they get, the less smooth and flirty and cocky he acts (with Dabi) and at first Dabi is like "wow he's very different" but it's just because he's slowly shedding his mask. And now he appears both more guarded and shyer than he used to. More vulnerable and honest.
I love Hawks being flustered because Dabi is a lil shit, but I love the opposite more. Dabi getting pissed and shoving Hawks against a wall to threaten him but Hawks just looks up at him and smirks, totally relaxed, and Dabi is like fuck fuck fuck fuck abort
