Ive Seen Other Ppl Make Atreus Kiddos I Figured I'd Get In On The Fun.

I’ve seen other ppl make Atreus’ kiddos I figured I'd get in on the fun.

In order:

The Evils that Plague mankind, Sleipnir

Fenrir, Hel, and Jörmungander

Narfi and Vali

[-] Story below, kinda long[-]

Atreus began having visions of their children, specifically how they’ll meet their demise, either imprisoned or straight up killed. It horrified him, even more so upon realizing Angrboda and Sigyn would also pay a tragic price for it as well. They began putting great distance between themselves and the women they cared for. There was no romance, but it was still strange considering Atreus usually spent a great deal of his time with the giant and goddess. He thinks if he keeps them at arm's length, they’ll be sparred their tragic fates, and by extension, these children doomed by prophecy. It ends up back firing.

More visions haunted Atreus sleep, ironically these visions are happier, children laughing, he swears he can see their faces almost. Him, Angrboda, and Sigyn are together, happy and at peace. One of the children run up to him, wanting to show him something. He sees a smile, innocent and joyful. It feels awful, like poison mixed with honey. Was this the punishment for defying fate so drastically?

He doesn't sleep as much and it shows, his eyelids already blackened from his short imprisonment by Odin, the snakes venom causing severe damage. But now the bags under his eyes are more obvious. For every question asked regarding his wellbeing, he’d deflect it with some excuse, his divine duties getting to him. Nobody really fell for it but they knew pushing him would only send him away.

Angrboda and Sigyn were equally worried and frustrated, Atreus looked like he was falling apart and the few seams he had. Dodging question after question and conveniently always having somewhere to be. One day they were together, talking about whatever, their duties, practicing magic. Healing from whatever ached them, and then suddenly Atreus is distancing himself from them.

Then it hit her, it wasn’t completely impossible, Norns knows she’s had her own over the years. It’s only a theory, but it’s better than nothing. Angrboda ponders, what if Atreus is having visions and they’re avoiding everybody because of it? She’s heard stories of people were willing to do to avoid fate. She knows Atreus and his family share a strong distain for fate.

But what could he be seeing that was so bad that he’d just start cutting himself off from everyone? She spoke of her theory to Sigyn, she agreed that it was very possible.

All they had to do was find Atreus and ask....

[-] stay tuned for part 2 [-]

July for Loki using 30 Days of Deity Devotion prompts, Day 5 • Members of the family – genealogical connections

Loki Laufeyjarson, Loki Son of Laufey. Laufey is Loki's mother: Laufey the leafy Ásynja (female Æsir), Laufey the Birch set on fire by the mighty Jötunn Fárbauti, the Lightning that strikes and brings the flames to the ground. According to this myth, Loki is of Jötunn and Æsir blood, belonging to both worlds and none at the same time, making him a liminal being from the very beginning. I personally feel Laufey is originally a Jötunn, later included among the Ásynja, but it's an UPG (unverified personal gnosis). Laufey gave birth to two other children, Helblindi and Býleistr, Loki's brothers. Sigyn is Loki's wife, and little is known about her. According to my own feeling, she belongs to the Jötnar too, but it's another UPG. Together they have two sons, Narfi and Váli. The Lady of Járnvid (Ironwood), Angrboða, conceived three powerful children with Loki: Hela, Queen of the Dead; Fenrisúlfr, the Wolf Fenrir; Jörmungandr, Miðgarðsormr, the Sea Serpent that hugs Miðgarð. To all of these children, Loki is father. And yet there is another children, too often forgotten, to which Loki is mother: Sleipnir, the eight-legged horse he conceived in the form of a mare with the stallion Svaðilfari. You may be familiar with Sleipnir being Óðinn's mount. Óðinn is also Loki's blood brother by oath, another detail some prefer to forget. Their relationship may be complex, but if we wanna talk about Loki's connections it seems only fair to me to include his good old friend Grímnir (Hooded, Masked One), too.

When Loki chooses to "work" with you, he'll introduce you to his family, sooner or later, in no particular order. He's a family person, and just loves his dear ones, especially his children, with all his burning heart.

July for Loki using 30 Days of Deity Devotion prompts, Day 28 • Something you wish you knew about this deity but don’t currently

Not something that involves him directly: I hope I get to know his children Narfi and Váli better, in time. I’ve had a couple of distant contacts in the past, but I felt they were kinda shy, more afraid than I was, though curious and kinda surprised by the “visit”. Their story is indescribably painful and sad, so it’s no wonder they tend to hide a bit.

“Now Loki was taken truceless, and was brought with them into a certain cave. Thereupon they took three flat stones, and set them on edge and drilled a hole in each stone. Then were taken Loki's sons, Váli and Nari or Narfi; the Æsir changed Váli into the form of a wolf, and he tore asunder Narfi his brother. And the Æsir took his entrails and bound Loki with them over the three stones: one stands under his shoulders, the second under his loins, the third under his boughs; and those bonds were turned to iron. Then Skaði took a venomous serpent and fastened it up over him, so that the venom should drip from the serpent into his face. But Sigyn, his wife, stands near him and holds a basin under the venom-drops; and when the basin is full, she goes and pours out the venom, but in the meantime the venom drips into his face. Then he writhes against it with such force that all the earth trembles: ye call that ‘earthquakes’. There he lies in bonds till the Weird of the Gods." {{Gylfaginning, from The Prose Edda by Snorri Sturluson, transl. by Arthur Gilchrist Brodeur}}

My heart longs to celebrate these forgotten children as they deserve. As the rightful gods they are.

World famous kitty musicians who are never gonna give you up!

I hear my mom shrieking downstairs, shouting up to me about “THE CATS! THE CATS!”

I run downstairs, thinking someone has died or something and see THIS:
