First Hunt
The shithead Brothers begrudgingly took out their sister one day to Svartalfheim. On their adventure they came across a baby dreki and helped Thurd slay the creature.
Upon return, Thrud displayed her accomplishment to her father. And even if he would never utter the words, he was proud. He knew she would be a warrior in no time.
After this, he picked her up in his strong arms and went off to feast on the fallen creature. That night, Thrud never stopped smiling as she knew she would one day become a valkyrie. She was sure of it.
As you entered the room after a long day, you see that Thor has waited up for you. And he wasn't drunk, which was kind of a surprise. "Come sit," he said so assertively that it came off as an order. You didn't mind and went over to him well knowing what he was planning to do.
AHHHH I WAS ABLE TO REPLICATE THE SAME HEAD. now to learn how to so the same with the body...sigh. But I learned not to be so focused on getting the exact anatomy right, especially with the lower arms.
Up up and away!
I'm so proud of this you don't even know. But in relation to the drawing I think the baby could be any of his children. I'd like to think he would get so excited to show them how to be like him and fly with the hammer, that he forgets his own strength. While he does a good maintaining control over his strength, he still sometimes has accidents...I also think he would have done the same mistake to each child, getting to excited to remember what happened the last time. Good thing even for a big guy that he is, Thor is still quick enough to catch them.
"I made a habit of checking in on my dad. I know it wasn't my responsibility, but ever since I almost lost him...I just need to. Typically, he would be lounging around sleeping in the house or ordering people around as the new Alfather, though he hates the title and perfers King instead. But if I hadn't found him by his snoring or loud voice alone, then I knew what that meant. He would be where he used to be. Expect here in this new realm, he would just stare at the cup of mead instead of drinking it. I knew he needed help. So I took him out and told him I wanted to spend the day with him. And that's what we did.
We did all sorts of foolish things. Like how I bet him that he couldn't eat out the whole bakery. Turns out he really could. Probably way more. I didn't know what was more immpressive, his stomach or his strength.
Oh, and then we went to work out! I mean, we do that every other morning anyway, but it's always fun to do it. There are these heavy ass stones to carry around. Even with all my strength, I struggle to carry them. All the while, Fadir carries it around like nothing. However, I did make some progress with my fathers help. I ACTUALLY CARRIED IT THIS TIME!
Then after that we went and sat by the local pond. There, he told me stories about how he would cradle me in his arms when I was younger. It looked to have made him happy. And sad. I made sure to hug him. He seemed surprised at first, but he leaned into it. He held me with a strong grip. Very strong, it felt as if he was holding onto me for dear life.
"I'm sorry, thrud," he would say.
And all I could say back was "I love you, Fadir."
And he would say it back. "I love you too Thrudie".
.........
Happy fathers Day, everyone! Not that it's the most joyous day for me, but I still wanted to draw something specifically for my favorite Nordic gals. I've been drawing a lot. I just never post. I'm excited to post something else real soon. I think I'm getting the hang of my style. Kinda.
Oh and this is my headcannon of what I wanted to happen. Thor and the rest of the surviving aesir realize they can't stay in Vanaheim cause of the animosity so they decide to travel to a new realm, Thrudvang which thrud named herself. There they rebuilt...(after killing a giant beast there)... and made new Nyr Asgard.
(Thrudvang is supposedly Thor's personal realm in mythology, but I like to think Thrud named it after herself:3)
Guess who's back back again. Woke up today and just knew it's my time to shine baby đ. I might do more with right drawing he looks so cute there
These took like months to do. So proud of them
As they sat down to eat, Thor noticed something wrong with Modi. Where once he would swat Modi, he now gently placed his hand on his son's shoulder. "Something the matter, son? The food bad?"
"No, Fadir. It's just I feel sick. I think it's the mead. I can barely drank any, " Modi said back.
"Then don't drink," Thor said, sitting down next to Modi, calmly so as not to trigger Modi's past trauma with him.
"But we always do," Thor's son said with an unsure voice filled with unease.
"Maybe not this time?" Thor offered his cup of berry juice.
"Yeah maybe not this time" Modi discarded the cup of mead and took Thor's.
God I hate my coloring so much. I'm trying to learn but for some reason coloring is harder than drawing for me lol.
this is how their first meeting went, right?
I am so excited! Next week Sonic Frontiers, God Of War Ragnarok, and Transformers Earthspark release! And then the week after is Bendy and the Dark Revival, Cuphead Show season 3, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! I've pre-ordered the pokemon games and I'm gonna watch people do lets plays of the other games. As for the shows, I'll be watching those as well. Did I mention that I'm so excited? LETS GOOO!
What a time to be alive for gamers, I've been seeing the leaks about God Of War Ragnarok and I just finished watching a few videos of Sonic Frontiers, all of it is amazing! So many steps in the right direction! I can't wait until more stuff comes out.
I think I've got a new favorite song living in my head rent-free- I'm Here, from Sonic Frontiers, and Jacksepticeyes Dad of B O I is giving me huge nostalgia. And with nostalgia is inspiration for my old 8+ years ago artwork to be remade, specifically my old Sonic art.
Thinking about Faye as a subversion of the âfridgingâ trope.
Usually, in a story like this (masculine man loses his wife, motivating him to go on an adventure), the story is usually invariably sexist. The wifeâs death is violent, but once the man has started going on an adventure, proving his heroism, sheâs basically never mentioned again. Sheâs a brief plot device, forgotten after the start except for a few dull flashbacks. We never learn more about her as a person. She existed to date a man and then die. Thatâs it.
And Faye isnât that at all.
Her death was not violent, and does not happen onscreen. It was a quiet death, presumably from illness, and whatâs more: she saw it coming. She was at peace with it.
Anger over her death isnât the reason for the adventure. Kratos doesnât start wandering the Nine Realms because heâs angry about his dead wife. He travels the Realms because he wants to honour his wifeâs wishes. The journey only happens because of the immense respect he felt for her.
Her death isnât the sole reason why the adventure starts. Yes, sheâs the reason why her husband and son go travelling, but Baldurâs appearance is what introduces violence into the story.
Faye had a life before she met Kratos. Sheâs not a paper-cutout mother-and-wife. She had friends. She kept secrets. She was a warrior who led a rebellion. Her association with Brok and Sindri is the reason why they agree to help Kratos and Atreus. Kratos acknowledges her talent, and the fact that she was better than him at some things. Her life before Kratos directly affects the story after her death.
Faye is not forgotten by the narrative. The whole story is haunted by her. She knew what would happen. Kratos and Atreus talk about her with each other and with others. Itâs clear how much she meant to them and how significant she is to the plot.
Meaningful flashbacks. Usually when a woman is fridged, the flashbacks are just an overly bright snippet of the woman looking pretty and saying some variation of âI love you, babeâ. But the flashbacks in God of War: Ragnarok are plot-relevant. Kratos and Faye donât just discuss their relationship. They talk about grief, morality, mortality, Kratosâs past, and the way to raise their son.
Genuine grief. This isnât a man seeing his wife dead, crying a single tear, killing a bunch of people, and never reflecting on his widower status again. Kratos, Atreus, and other characters all mourn Fayeâs passing. Years after her death, Kratos is still deeply moved by his memories of her. She is not forgotten by anyone.
Faye wasnât some disposable woman. Sheâs the cornerstone upon which the entire plot rests.

I will never be over how much Kratos respects Freya
Like even when she was actively trying to kill him he respected her. When Atreus said âI donât understand why she canât let it goâ Kratos responds âI killed her son, there is no letting that goâ he knows EXACTLY what he took from her and he knows if the roles were switched he wouldâve done no different
When Freya tells him heâs only helping her because he has something to gain he says he ALWAYS wouldâve helped her no matter what she asked.
When they reconcile and he tells her âI do not regret saving your life, and never will, but the choice between life and death was yours to make. I should not have robbed you of that choiceâ
During the GnĂĄ fight when the player defeats her and Kratos goes into what you THINK is his Valkyrie kill animation but instead he stops and just holds her in place so Freya can speak with her instead. Because he knows this is HER fight and HER choice and he robbed her of her agency once and he will NEVER rob her of it again and-
