Spam Bots - Tumblr Posts
Oh dear, the bots got worse. Now, instead of just an empty Tumblr, I got a "follower" with explicit material on their page. NOT. BETTER.
Okay ive grown up on Tumblr and I've NEVER been targeted by so many bots. What did I do? Is it the cat pictures? Does my milkshake bring all the bots to the yard? Are my shitposts that attractive?

So new question: how do you stop them?

So I've seen people talk about bots and I don't know what they do? There isn't an algorithm and you can't profit off the site so what do they do?
Like whats the point? Do people just decide "he he im gonna fill the funny website with tin cans"
Is this the equivalent to internet littering? Da bloody hell are they doing?

Also, also, why are these bots so, like, flirty? suggestive? The ones following me anyway. Are they all like that? If they are, excuse me? I'm gay? Your bot flirtations have no effect on me, even if you were real.

get a notification. view them. see someone followed you. click on their profile. realize it‘s a bot. repeat.
It’s only February and I’ve already blocked a million porn bots this year.

there was another one but i have that screenshot on my pc and im not home atm so i cant post it
i only did some research on the 1st one cuz they were the first to message me and had the most posts, their pfp led me back to someone called Terry the Husky (they posted the image last month while the first instances of it are from december)
at least at the time they all seem to have one singular liked post, the exact same banner, leave their name as "Untitled", dont use tags and message u with a simple greeting like "hi" before they interact with anything u make
they dont seem too much of a problem right now considering they get very little notes but they are quite annoying and i dont want them to turn into a bigger problem
