If you have to pass by a high drop, they would walk next to you to shield your view, or just behind you to watch over you. They would hold your hand or arm to help you stabilize yourself, gently reminding you to look ahead and breathe.

If you have to walk up a high spiral staircase, they would be right behind you in case you feel your legs weaken or are morbidly tempted to look back.

Maybe you are on an trip with others and they are doing a treetop course or some rock climbing. If you prefer not to join, your f/o would stay with you and make sure you do not feel pressured about it.

Maybe you are scared at the idea of climbing a ladder. If they do not have a fear of heights as well, your f/o would offer to climb instead. If this is not possible for them too, you would be able to work on a solution together to achieve your goal without having to force your fears upon you.
