Puppies are a lot of work. Also moving to a new house is a lot of work. I cannot recommend having a new puppy and moving at the same time. 

(Buying the house was my idea, and the puppy was PWLI’s. We did not intend for them to enter our lives at exactly the same time, but the perfect puppy became available at the worst time, and we just couldn’t say no. The puppy is, after all, adorable. But I’m exhausted.)
