I went to Malaysia 🇲🇾 🇲🇾 🇲🇾 my driver told me the story of the original human being the Orang Asli. Dark skinned people with curly/nappy hair and I visited there village. They migrated from Africa to Asia at least 30'000 years before Christ. Another evidence that Christopher Columbus discovered nothing !!!! I took several pictures 📸 📷 📸 📷 📸 📷 here is one of them... I didn't take any pictures of there village they deserve respect

#repost• @whatsculture History Class: Tracing the roots of Capoeira. The Afro-Brazilian martial art form incorporates acrobatics, dance, folklore, and music. Two opponents play each other inside a circle (Roda) formed by the other players, who create rhythm for the game by clapping, singing, and playing traditional instruments. It’s the second most popular sport in Brazil and is practiced in different parts of the world today. To understand the significance, we look at how it is a phenomenon born out of migration.

“Capoeira was conceived in Africa and born in Brazil,’’ Mestre Jelon Vieira once said. As a colony of the Portuguese Crown, millions of Africans were shipped and sold in Brazil. There, enslaved Africans shared their cultural traditions, including dances, rituals, and fighting techniques, which eventually evolved into capoeira. Many elements and traditions that would inform capoeira are said to have originated in Angola. At that time, 80% of all enslaved Africans in Rio de Janeiro came from Central West Africa from countries that are now known as Gabon, Angola and both Congos.

People from Angola were prominent among the enslaved Africans who played the game on the streets and squares of Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and other Brazilian port cities at the beginning of the nineteenth century. With many enslaved Africans revolting against slavery, they would soon form communities in villages called quilombos in which they could sustain different expressions of African culture. They used capoeira to defend themselves and resist capture, disguising its martial intent with music, song, and dance.

Capoeira became illegal after the abolition of slavery in 1888. Practitioners were socially ostracised for more 40 years, until the legendary capoeira master, Mestre Bimba, opened the first capoeira school in Bahia in 1932. From there, the martial art would reach all parts of the world. At its core, capoeira is born out of a mix of African and Brazilian indigenous cultures and it represents resistance and resilience 🇧🇷🌍

The last hope… Surrender Spiritual Bliss

The Last Hope Surrender Spiritual Bliss

Power of Surrender to God

Arjuna (warrior) surrendered to lord shree Krishna in the middle of two armies ready to fight the greatest battle of all time known as Mahabharat and he was delivered with the most profound wisdom in form of “Shree Bhagvad Gita”.

This happened 5000 years ago. Today’s generation is also suffering the same deliemma, trauma, depression, confusion, anxiety and decision making. Among all these problems and cruelty around we have lost the ancient wisdom and as a result we are loosing our connection with the God. Among all these problems we get trapped in our own thinking and negativity.

There comes the need to held the hand of God and that comes through a pure surrender. Believe me a pure surrender to God does not only lighten your heart but miracle starts happening in your life.

The same kind of miracle happened with me. When i was in complete darkness, isolated and lost all the hope. I held the bhagvad gita, hugged it and slept. The next morning was absolutely a miracle for me.

Crux of Bhakti Yoga - Bhagvad Gita

1. God can be worshiped in 3 categories - a. Brahman b. Paramatma c. Bhagavan

2. God says that devotees who worship me in my personal form are best yogis than who walk on path of Impersonal Brahman.

3. God says to fix our Mind in him and surrender our intellect.

4. If one cannot fix his mind in God then one should practice remembering him with devotion while restricting the mind from worldly affairs.

5. If one cannot practice remembering then just try to work for him.

6. If one cannot even work in devotion then detach yourself from the fruits of your actions.

7. Knowledge is better than mechanical practice. Meditation is better than knowledge. Renunciation of the fruits of action is better than meditation.

8. God F.E.E.S. - F stands for free from Malice, friendly, free from attachment. E stands for equality. Again E stands for ever forgiving and ever content. S stands for steadily union with God and self control.

9. Have faith,be devoted.

Ants are a form of thing, known for travelling in cliques. They are small in size, unknown in color, and bashful in temperament. Every ant has two appendages they use to hurt other beings, and four appendages for other activities. Scientists have discovered many types of ants; gay, Protestant, electric, and chill. Their wealth is considered low.

Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window.

Punctuating Dialogue

➸ “This is a sentence.”

➸ “This is a sentence with a dialogue tag at the end,” she said.

➸ “This,” he said, “is a sentence split by a dialogue tag.”

➸ “This is a sentence,” she said. “This is a new sentence. New sentences are capitalized.”

➸ “This is a sentence followed by an action.” He stood. “They are separate sentences because he did not speak by standing.”

➸ She said, “Use a comma to introduce dialogue. The quote is capitalized when the dialogue tag is at the beginning.”

➸ “Use a comma when a dialogue tag follows a quote,” he said.

“Unless there is a question mark?” she asked.

“Or an exclamation point!” he answered. “The dialogue tag still remains uncapitalized because it’s not truly the end of the sentence.”

➸ “Periods and commas should be inside closing quotations.”

➸ “Hey!” she shouted, “Sometimes exclamation points are inside quotations.”

However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!

➸ “Does this apply to question marks too?” he asked.

If it’s not dialogue, can question marks be “outside”? (Yes, they can.)

➸ “This applies to dashes too. Inside quotations dashes typically express—“

“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.

➸ “You’ll notice that exclamation marks, question marks, and dashes do not have a comma after them. Ellipses don’t have a comma after them either…” she said.

➸ “My teacher said, ‘Use single quotation marks when quoting within dialogue.’”

➸ “Use paragraph breaks to indicate a new speaker,” he said.

“The readers will know it’s someone else speaking.”

➸ “If it’s the same speaker but different paragraph, keep the closing quotation off.

“This shows it’s the same character continuing to speak.”

Intelligence is not defined by your level of knowledge. You are not stupid for asking simple questions, there is no harm in asking questions. There's a reason learning skills are evaluated in school, and that is because a willingness to learn and improve is what truly shows intelligence. And this even applies if you think you already know, but you're wrong. You'll look much smarter if you listen and improve than if you double down.

If you don't know something, ask. Voids of knowledge only exist to be filled. Even if the answer may be super simple or just flew over your head, at least you know.

Ask anyone. If you're not comfortable asking a question in-person, go to a forum, message an online friend, ask in a Discord channel. If it's a concrete enough question, try searching it up. Whatever level of anonymity, wherever you go, as long as you are seeking knowledge, you are smart.
