I got my GCSE Results because today! 2 A*s (A 9 and an 8) 4 As (7s) and 3 High Cs/Low Bs (5s)
I was 1 mark off a 6 (B^) in Chemistry lol.
And I got the highest mark anyone has ever gotten in Photography at my school (That was my 9)
My 8 was English Language, for my absolutely amazing piece of creative writing about an evil wizard.
My 7s were English Literature, German, DT and Maths
And my 5s were Biology, Chemistry and Physics
I got a total of 60 points which means I have gotten into my dream sixth-form, a private school, on an 100% Bursary!
Unbelievable I can’t believe it!
Stay tuned because I will be making a portfolio of all my Photography in October, when the remark period is over!

the invigilator watching me give the character in my essay 375 mental illnesses and defend their war crimes (it's a grade 9 analysis)
I've been in the same situation myself- but, unfortunately, the exam board my school used heavily dicouraged and marked down fantasy writing. It seems to me a perfectly illogical premise, to discourage creative fantasy, but one must abide the whims of the great arbitrators if one wishes to be graded well, I suppose.
Hello Mr Gaiman. I am in year 11, so I've got my English GCSEs coming up, and my only issue is that I have no idea how to start a story. I can write the rest of the story perfectly fine, but I can never figure out how to start it off well. Do you have any advice?
It's ok if you don't respond, but if you do, thank you.
Try to start it in an interesting way that makes people want to go on. A way that, perhaps, asks a question that you need to keep reading to answer, or that will mean something else if you come to it after finishing the story.
Sometimes I write the beginning of the story, the opening lines, last of all.
It can be a fun exercise to just sit and write for yourself first lines of stories that are interesting and make people want to keep reading. They don't have to be any good, and you definitely don't need to know what happens next.
'Everything would have been fine if the Pope had not misplaced the antique silk alms bag containing her birth control pills.'
'The day Julius's mother died was, by no coincidence, the same day that Julius discovered his Jack Russell terrier secretly spoke Italian.'
'The old house squatted on the hill like a toad on the edge of a well, and, like a toad, would occasionally, when unobserved, lumber down from the hill in search of food. It was not choosy. It would eat anything."
Try it. It's fun.

My GCSE artwork. I GOT A 9 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
GAHHHHH THIS SOUND LIKE A GREAT IDEA
but it saddens me to know how bad my area is and that this would genuinely never be accepted
Attention, alterhumans!!
…particularly those in the UK!
This is a post to gauge interest in an educational organisation for therians and other alterhumans! It would have a focus on homeschooling and be mostly online, but would also be very open to anyone attending school.
As it stands right now, it would likely encompass an online community (e.g. on Discord), an archive of resources, “after-school clubs” of therian activities, and regular voice and/or text chat sessions to help with studying, talk about alterhumanity, or just be a bunch of nonhumans hanging out! However, if the project became large enough, we could be looking at irl meet-ups – howls, hiking, wilderness walks, workshops and the like.
The organisation would also be able to support our humans with finding tutors and groups for home education purposes, and for those who are in school, supplementary lessons and tutors.
Basically, it’d be a big group of therians, otherkin, nonhumans and anyone under the alterhuman umbrella, for school purposes and also developing the ability to live in human society, without feeling othered or disconnected from their alterhuman identity.
Please rb/share if this sounds interesting to you!
It would be UK-based, so while alterhumans from all over the world can be involved, the focus will be on the education system here, so GCSEs etc.
Got my GCSE results and it's like... how did I get 8s (A-stars) in English Lit and Lang?? Was it... from the fanfiction writing...?
GCSE Results day is tomorrow oh boy 😟
So it instead of being productive I created whatever this is. I am not too excited as I spent my time over the last two years procrastinating.

‘Write an account of a time when you enjoyed or hated taking part in an outdoor activity’
“Thump, thump, thump”. Is that my feet as I drag them from out of the slogging, mud road? Or is it the rain hammering against my jacket? The mud has long soaked through my green hiking boots, turning them a dark, muddy brown and I debate turning around back to the safety of the campsite. But I can’t. The rain has made it impossible to see three feet in front of me. It is the only thing I see, rain droplets and clouds. I'd like it if I were inside my house or a cabin somewhere in the woods. Preferably, inside a cabin so I can still enjoy all that nature has to offer, but not have to be soaked and tormented by torrential rain. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of going outside where I'm tormented by torrential rain, which strongly indicates an angry Zeus, it’s a shame he hasn’t brought the lightning - yet. My jacket, my hair, my everything is soaked through right to the bone. I don’t think I'll ever be dry again. The trees cloud together to make nothing but a blur of green movement. The road is no longer walkable, it’s now a slugging mess, if you try to walk in the brown liquid you’ll be stuck in it for days. I think that’s my fate. My feet are lodged well within the quicksand like mud and as much as I tug and pull they won’t dislodge. This is my worst nightmare. I feel my heartrate quicken and my hands leak with sweat - great more water! I can’t get out. I’m heaving and I’m pulling but it just won’t give. This is wearing me out, my chest beats up and down, almost in time with the rain, my hand slips down the hiking stick as I fall deeper and deeper into the mud.
