What can we learn from Xiaolin Showdown?
Kimiko knows that stereotypes need not apply; Raimundo proves that our past does not define us, but what we learn from it does; Omi teaches us that pride can be both our strength and our downfall; Clay tells us that ‘complicated’ doesn’t always mean ‘efficient;’ Dojo shows that courage can go a long way; Master Fung makes us realize our elders can teach us much; Chase is evidence that even the good can fall.
Tell me this show isn’t amazing.
This is such a sweet headcanon I love it so much!
Before he heads to bed, Dojo took it upon himself to do nightly check-ups on the Xiaolin Dragons in training that he was assigned to watch over to make sure that they’re asleep when they’re supposed to be, which he started during the first few days of them being at the Temple, wanting to take the task he was assigned to by his beloved Master Fung seriously, even if he wasn’t that attached to them just yet..
Later, after they grew on him and when they began facing deadlier enemies, Dojo started having nightmares about his kids being kidnapped or killed. He then checked on them more frequently and urgently to assure himself that he had just been dreaming and that his kids were safe and sound.
