The Occoquan River, Around 9 in the morning

Two weeks left in the semester and I feel like it's JUST starting to get good, ahhh
This is the first time in quite a while where I felt like I actually ENJOYED studying. It sucks because learning has always been something I'm super passionate about. I used to LOVE studying. But, better late than never I guess.

I didn't want to take too many pictures because I had friends over, but LOOK AT HOW PRETTY THAT IS!
I made pie the other day, and conveniently we got the first snowfall of the year immediately after, which made for a very lovely study session.

So, just on impulse, my friends and I decided to study in the science center, just for a change of pace. And it was a great decision, because turns out they just decorated it yesterday. I never knew it could be so cozy in there.
It's getting to the really tough part of the semester, and one lesson I've learned in college is just how much the environment can affect me.

Finals week is coming. Finals week is scary. Homework does not enter the blanket fort.

Hey! This is a super uncomfortable thing for me to post, but I’m in a voice class and trying to break into theater. I really need to get used to performing. This isn’t a proper cover, but I recorded myself practicing and I’m putting it out there.

Oooh, ahhh
Big mountains (my father for scale)

Last New Year, I resolved to read some classic novels this year.
I promptly forgot about that until I was sitting in the airport to go visit my grandparents this year.
Luckily, it wasn't too late. I had plenty of books I wanted to get through, since I didn't really do any pleasure reading last semester, but when I got home from school, I got the random itch to finally read Fight Club by Chuck Palahnuik. I finished it on the flight home -- just barely making it in time for the New Year.
I highly recommend this book! Chuck Palahnuik is an absolute freak of a man with a very unique style. I love the way he develops Tyler as sort of a cult leader figure -- it's very unnerving how he makes his awful suggestions sound so appealing.
I think it was a risky move to leave the narrator completely nameless, but I think he pulled it off really well. It's easy to project onto the narrator, and as the story goes on, you see how the narrator dehumanizes himself and others (such as the Space Monkeys, who are referred to as a mass, or the Mechanic, who's a sort of prophet figure.)
I loved Marla as a character. I didn't see the twist coming. It was a quick read. Highly recommend.

If you're ever in Colorado, swing by! It's a city park, so it's totally free to enter. I recommend showing up early in the day because it's huge.

I have been sick for the past week and put myself in a very bad spot in terms of schoolwork, but I'm finally feeling better, so I took a little trip on Sunday!

The Library at Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, UK. The house was built between 1749 to 1776.

Here is the current progress for RTC at the Little Theater! Only 5 days until the show!
When I walked in and saw the set, I was blown away. Our set designer really is incredible. Just wait until everything is in place! Get hyped!

EVRYBODY EVERYBODY EVERYBODY one of the barn cats had kittens recently. We just found a litter 2 days ago, living separately from the rest of the cats (we have a bunch of barn cats who live on the porch.) The babies had eye infections and needed to be brought in and taken care of, and we decided it was best to nust track down the mama and keep them all inside for now so that we can keep treating them if need be.

Photos will never fully capture how cute they are. I have been sitting here watching them all get comfortable to sleep.

They've gotten so big!! I moved them into my room and they decided that the laundry basket was the most comfortable place to sleep.

I'm moving, and since all of my clothes are out anyways, I may as well have a little fun with them.

More photos from the other night ✨ okay but imagine I did this photo shoot at a bus stop instead of at home? Those would be so pretty
I need to do this again sometime soon. All my accessories were already packed when I took these photos.

He's such a little rockstar.
He's also a big crybaby and hates the car, so wish me luck 🤞 I'm moving, which is going to be an 8+ hour drive. If anyone knows how to calm cats down, please tell me.
