Just found out that the ship name wolfstar is actually used for 2 different ships??? Like I was opening the hashtag for lesbian mutants and ended up with Sirius x Remus, which wasn't a bad thing, but not expected. Although there are a bunch of parallels (sad werewolf, more socially skilled bestie they eventually fall for, boarding school setting, etc.)
One of my fave pictures of Dani ever is the cover of New Mutants vol 3 #3 where she just has. So many guns. A ludicrous amount of guns. She saw Cable’s gun collection and was like “that’s cute.”

Vita Ayala is hands down the best New Mutants writer in a very, very long time; they really understand the core principles of what makes the New Mutants so special, and they really understand the characters on a deep level.
