Hey @aurora-ze-aquarius it was me who made this but I didn't mean to make it anonymous 🙃 but I wrote this at school and the wifi was messing up and thank you for the feedback 😊 also I was thinking more of a humanize AU but still thanks you, lol 😆 but that culture shock i feel like lightning didn't have car and had to walk everywhere and Jackson is just tired like dude we need a car to get there and lightnings like it's only 5 miles away it's not that far

Hey I was thinking of making a cars au and I wanna see what you think, I'm calling it the time travel AU and what happens is Cruz and Jackson some how go back in time to the 80s and see a young teen lightning McQueen ( cause i think 🤔 he from the 80s era ) and see how different of a person he was when he was younger ( i also feel like when lightning was younger he was one of those popular kids that everyone's thought was mean but was actually really nice 👌.

And Cruz and Jackson look young enough to be in high school .

And you know how his name is Montgomery but for some reason I feel like both cruz and Jackson don't know that and when they looking for him and they like hey were looking for a lightning McQueen and people are like we don't have a lightning McQueen but we know a Montgomery McQueen

So what do you think 🤔 please give me any feedback 👌

I'd love to see how Cruz and Jackson react to younger McQueen, maybe even see his old home life 👀

Maybe you could add a joke where Jackson complains how they're looking for Lightning not his dad, but then they meet Monty and it actually is Lightning lmaoo

If Jackson and Cruz were to somehow enroll in Monty's highschool, I believe their ages would be around 16/17. I've done a bit of digging and found that some of the youngest irl racecar drivers are/were around 17/18 years old.

(Examples include Max Verstappen from F1 and Kalle Rovanperä from the WRC, both of which started their careers at 17 years old.)

For Cruz, since she had a job before racing, you could say she worked as a volunteer trainer for Rusteze.

Also!! Don't forget that since they're going back in time, there should be culture shock from both Jackson/Cruz, and some of the cars around them.

It's the 80s, car models like Jackson and Cruz have yet to exist, so every once in a while, they may get odd looks from people. At the same time, Jackson and Cruz talk and act quite different from the cars of that time period, so they may have to try to blend in. Maybe even change their look up temporarily.

(That is if this is a long story of course! If they're stuck in the past for not as long (like in that one episode of Tall Mater Tales) then it's perfectly ok to keep their appearance the same. It's just a suggestion ofc)

Can I please get a small writing prompt of lightning McQueen ( if him and Sally were just friends) is a single bisexual and all the new gen racers try to get him a date lol 😆 or get him to go on a date with them 😉

My favorite part of these next gen asks you send me is that it implies that the next gens actually like Lightning and try to involve him in their shenanigans, and it just makes me really happy okay?!

Not sure if your looking for a fic/ficlet or if you just want some headcanons, so I’m gonna go with headcanons if that’s okay! (I wrote most of this out during my lunch break at work so if it’s not great that’s why)

Here’s how I think the next gens would react to finding out Lightning is bi and single:

Tim: surprised to find out McQueen is single, not surprised at all to know he’s bi. He’s seen the interviews from the WGP and there’s no heterosexual explanation for how him and Francesco interact.

Ryan: tries to set him up on a blind date, but McQueen politely declines the offer; he’s okay being single for now.

Chase and Bubba: are very indifferent to the whole thing. This information changes absolutely nothing about how they perceive Lightning. They have no interest in McQueen’s love life, but are entertained by how much the other racers seem to care.

Danny: Thinks it’s great that McQueen is open about his sexuality and love life. He joins in with the rest in trying to set him up with someone. Starts a betting pool with the other racers to see who’ll get McQueen a date first.

Cruz: immediately half-jokes that McQueen and Jackson should go out on a date (I say half-jokes because she can totally tell they both find each other attractive so she’s really trying to play matchmaker here)

Jackson: acts like he doesn’t give af, but is secretly trying to work up the courage to ask Lightning out. He didn’t even realize Lightning was bi until all the next gens started discussing his love life, and while he won’t admit it to anyone he got a little excited/hopeful that he could have a chance with the racing legend

Ok, so what if Cruz and Jackson both knew Spanish and used it to have private conversation, and one day, in Spanish, they talk about how lighting kinda sucks at ( something) and lighting chimes in basically

In perfect Spanish saying

Lightning: ( in Spanish) hey I may suck but you two aren't good at it either

Cruz and Jackson: : O

( lol I'm on my way to Mexico right now)

Lmaoooo XD I could definitely see something like that happening!

Cruz knows Spanish because her mother spoke it while she was growing up, so she's a native speaker and Jackson knows Spanish because he found out that Cruz knew it and decided he didn't wanna be outdone by her.

But yeah. They get into this conversation about how Lightning sucks at proper lift form or som cuz this old man doesn't know when to quit, when all of a sudden Lightning rounds the corner and hears this conversation.

Cruz and Jackson don't think much of it because they think that Lightning doesn't understand what their saying and they carry on, only for Jackson to make a comment on how 'Oh, the old man doesn't even understand us right now, we're fine to keep continuing this conversation,'.

And Lightning just deadpans and speaks up over them like- 'Uh, wtf do you mean? I know Spanish you assuming assholes?' and processed to tear them both apart in very aggressive and angry Spanish ionwgoinrg-

And both Jackson and Cruz have a collective heart attack at this old man- (mid 30s)- knows an entirely different language because 'who fuckin' knew about this????'

But yeah- that is definitely something I can see happening, lmao
