My thoughts on 9-1-1 Season 4 Episode 6 (JINX)

• why doesn’t the probie have a name??

• odds on probie has a crush on Buck? That book drop and being that flustered was not just because someone made him jump, it was because BUCK made him jump, and you can’t change my mind

• Eddies book club comment

• “medical, baby, women”

• Buck reading a self help book on how to show your love, yes please, finally someone is managing their emotions in a healthy way

• But also the rest of the team letting him know he doesn’t have to forgive his parents straight away

• everyone’s reaction to ana, more specifically them being so confused and not knowing who she is, it may be the Buddie shipper in me but that made me happy

• that one dude when there stuck in the truck just sitting there, could he not have had like a two word line rather than just sitting in the corner of shots

• How do the station numbers work? Why would the 118 and 147 ever be in the same area? I get LA is big and it might be because I’m English but still

• HOW DO THE COLOUR SHIRTS WORK AT DISPATCH?!!!!! What do they mean? Clearly they mean some sort of level thing but I need answers

• also I noticed in other episodes even when Maddie has the same colour shirt on as someone, it’s all fancy and not a basic polo like others

My thoughts on season4 episode 7 (there goes the neighbourhood):

• why they gotta start off with the bible?

• the mum is my new favourite accident character

• They really took bible mum and rebel kid and said switch

• Side note: why is every 911 call so dramatic like that women who side “I think Christmas killed my husband”???? Am I the only one who was taught if you call 911 get all the important info across first?

I know I read a 9-1-1 fanfic on ao3 where buck goes to get a tattoo with chimney i think, and gets a just keep swimming dory tattoo. It’s set after the tsunami but I can’t find it anywhere and I think I might have made it up. If anyone has read it, even if you don’t have it bookmarked, can you just let me know so I know I’m not going crazy. If it doesn’t exist then I know what my next fan fic I write will be.

My thoughts on 9-1-1: Season 4 episode 8 (breaking point)

• the fact that this episode is called “breaking point” and the fact that it’s the mid season final I think is not making me feel great, but I know there’s drama on lone star so I’m hoping that means we get happy stuff here

• are they the same guys from the episode when they got sucked into the jet engine??

• so clearly they are going for this ana and Eddie thing but the reasons most of the relationships on the show work is because they are all some form of first responder, Maddie and Chimney, Bobby and Athena, even Buck and Abby! They get loads of time together because of their jobs, that’s why we only see Karen when something big is going to happen, case in point this episode and last episode, Hen had a big decision to make . So I’m wondering how they’re gonna give Eddie and ana screen time together because it’s not gonna be like Athena or Maddie meeting up at a scene or knowing what’s going on as it happens and then have stuff to talk about. So I’m wondering how lone this will last

When I said I wanted to see more of Chimney and Albert being brothers and Buck and Albert being good friends (they’re roommates so they kinda have to be) I meant happy moments after baby mango was born, like Albert congratulating Chimney and reassuring him that he will be a great dad (if they even hint at chimney not being an AMAZING dad I will riot) and buck and Albert being uncles , not whatever happens in the 4x09 sneak peak clip. I am not ready for the new episode.

If you can look at the way Buck just froze when Eddie got shot, and would have been shot had Captain Metah not shoved him, and tell me that it is platonic, ✨you should go to spec savers✨ and GET AN EYE TEST!!!!

To what looks like having to be held down so he doesn’t run into the line of fire to Eddie. Which is a stupid thing to do, run into the line of shot to try to help Eddie, unless the man on the floor is the man you love, the father of the child you basically co parent. Then it would make sense.

And the contrast between Bucks reaction in Eddie Begins,

When buck immediately reacts and starts digging to try to save Eddie, to Suspicion,

Where Buck freezes, because he knows there’s nothing he can do to help Eddie, is absolutely beautiful.

The amount of times I’ve read a 9-1-1 fanfiction about Buck that says, “looking far smaller than a person his height has any right to” is honestly impressive. It’s like the go to phrase to let readers know Buck is gonna need a hug at some point in the fic. That being said, I’m now going to read a fic that has this exact line.

I have once again managed to lose a 9-1-1 fic, it was on ao3, and Buck adopted a cat he rescued from a fire and called it “flareon” after the pokemon. And everyone loves the cat, especially Hen, and Chimney is slightly scared of the cat, and it has its own Instagram account. So if anyone knows what it’s called cause I thought I had it bookmarked but it’s disappeared.

“I’m just saying that if you gave me a chance, you would have the best date of your life!” Buck says excitedly, as he follows Y / n through the station.

“Buck, you know that going out or dating your co-workers is not a good idea.” Y / n says walking up the stairs to the kitchen, listening to Buck snort behind her.

“This is what others say, doll, we would be proof that they are wrong.” Y / n laughs at his insistence and sits at the table, and Buck sits next to her laughing too “At least I managed to get a smile out of her” thought Buck.

“What are lovebirds talking about?” Hen arrives in the kitchen with Chimney

“Y / n doesn’t want to go out with me, because she thinks it’s not a good idea to go out with a co-worker.” Buck says offended.

“Yeah, she’s right, this is a bad idea.” Chim says, and Hen agrees.

“Come on guys, give me a hand, look at Bobby and Athena, it worked for them.” Buck says hopeful.

“No Buck, Bobby and Athena don’t work together, sometimes they meet at work, it’s different.” Y / n speaks laughing when he sees Buck’s puppy eyes.

“Y / n, I need you a minute.” Captain Nash calls Y / n downstairs.

“I’m sorry, Buck, I still haven’t convinced myself.” Y / n speaks down the stairs to see what your captain wants.

“I’m still going to be able to convince her.” Buck says leaving too.

A few days later, Buck was still determined to convince Y / n to go out with him, so one evening, while at Eddie’s, Buck had a great idea.

“Eddie, can you lend me Christopher?” Buck asks Eddie, who is putting a lasagna in the oven, that night Eddie decided to prepare dinner and invite everyone on his team, and Buck decided to arrive early to help Eddie in case he needed anything.

“What do you mean?” Eddie asks suspiciously.

“I had an idea to convince Y / n to go out with me, but it will only work if Christopher participates.” Eddie can’t contain a loud laugh.

“Forget about Buck, even Christopher can’t do that, she won’t be going out with you.” Eddie says patting Buck on the shoulder.

“Please Eddie, let me try.” Buck pleads, and Eddie laughs at his despair.

“Okay, but don’t say I didn’t warn you when it doesn’t work.” As soon as Eddie says this, Buck celebrates leaving the kitchen excited, looking for Christopher.

“Christopher big boy, I need your help for one thing, here’s the plan …” Buck says entering Christopher’s room and sitting next to him on the bed.

And while Buck was teaching Christopher what to do, the team was arriving little by little at Eddie’s house.

“Alright buddy, you know what to say, right?” Buck says, helping Christopher down from his bed.

“Yes I know.” Christopher agrees, and the two leave Christopher’s room and go to the room where everyone is.

As soon as the two leave Chris’s room, Buck starts looking around looking for Y / n, and his eyes sparkle when he finds her sitting on the couch talking to Eddie and Hen.

Y / n laughs at something Hen says, and her head turns towards Christopher and Buck, at the same time that Y / n sees Christopher, she rises from the couch and goes towards the boy.

“Hi Christopher, how are you? I missed you so much.” Y / n says bending down to stand at Christopher’s height, and hugging the boy carefully.

“I’m fine Y / n, but I’d be better off if you hit Uncle Buck,” Christopher says, and Y / n looks at him confusedly.

“Get out Christopher, if you go out with Uncle Buck.” Buck says in Christopher’s ear, but Y / n notices and understands it immediately.

“Nice try, Buck.” Y / n says laughing and then gives Chris a kiss on the cheek and lifts her up.

“What about me? Don’t I get a kiss?” Buck speaks sadly, and Y / n rolls his eyes.

“You will win after our meeting” Y / n says, getting shy and Buck smiles, surprised and happy.

“Does that mean you’re going to give me a chance?” Buck says happy, and Y / n agrees smiling.

“I think we deserve a chance.” Buck opens his arms, calling Y / n for a hug, and she shyly accepts hugging Buck’s waist.

“You will not regret.” He gives a kiss on the top of Y / n’s head.

And she definitely didn’t regret it.
