So my friend has this uncle...
So my friend has this distantly related uncle who's in his fifties now and he lives in the US. All this time, she thought he was single his entire life. And like just never married. Like every time she saw him at a family event no one ever mentioned anything about him ever being married.
So one day she's in the car with her mom right? And she just casually asks why he never married. (It's not that normal not to be married in india yet) And her mom goes what are u talking about he IS married.
And my friends like What?
And her mom's like yeah, u didn't know?
And she's like uh no? What's his wife like and how come i've never seen her?
Mom: because its a husband
It took her 5 full min to process. Friend: HES GAY?
Mom: ...yeah? We just never talk about it he lives with his husband over there(US)
U don't understand HOW COOL IT IS TO FIND OUT U HAVE A GAY TAUJI(term in india for uncle). Like WTF. its VERY rare in india to have a gay relative. Like damn I want a gay tauji .
I know it's been ages since this article was published but I just saw it today and seriously, this is how it should be. I'm so proud of this Museum for doing the right thing. Like it didn't even matter to them that they'd had it for 2 centuries. They deserve applause, for this was a good display of respect, courtesy and fairness.
Somebody tell England to take lessons.

A Swiss museum has returned two sacred artifacts to the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) confederacy.
The objects — a medicine mask and turtle rattle — had been in the possession of the Geneva Museum of Ethnography (MEG) for nearly 200 years.
Mohawk elder and activist Kenneth Deer was one of three men sent to retrieve the objects.
He says he was "surprised and thankful" for the museum's co-operation and called the MEG "progressive" for returning the objects without conditions or complications.

Preserving video and audio is slightly uncomfortable, because it's like time travelling to confront or combat your past self. Needing to revisit almost a different person, who no longer exists. You aren't the you from before, and you can feel it. Your memories almost clash into each other when you think or see back, almost like two different peoples feeling agreeing and disagreeing at the same time. You are the same, but that person doesn't exist. It only exists because it lives in your brain. That person will never exist again, it's only a fleeting part of your mind, and you accounts are all you have. Memories turn into well acted plays, that you yourself start becoming the audience for.

Take ur time! I absolutely loved this series since I had been searching for a platonic series for a loooong time. Until then, I will keep on rereading it even though I've read it like 50 times already.

Thanks for reading it! I do want to continue writing it, I even have the outlines for the next few chapters, It's just that I haven't found the time to write them and it takes such a long time for me to write a chapter but hopefully I'll get around to continuing it!

NOTES: You know how in most tv series there wouldn’t be a concrete linear storyline? Idrk the best way to explain this but like, there is definitely a main overarching plot but each episode has its own story and there would always be an indefinite time jump in between them. Almost like you can watch any random ep and everything would still make sense, Yeah, this series is going to be like that. Don’t expect that the next part would pick up exactly from where the last one ended.
This is also highkey inspired by the amazing tv series, 6teen. That shit was my jam during middle school and recently, it’s literally the only thing I’ve been watching. Btw, I didn’t want to use real brand names (for legal reasons lol) so the shops that are used in this fic sound familiar but they are only (somewhat) inspired by them. Like, I know Ikea usually has its own place and if they are located in a mall, they’re pretty small. So I took creative liberties with that.
