Trick or Treat

12. Aligula + 18 Facing down an evil clone

.

Aligula would be absolutely pissed if the person you were currently relaxing against didn't have such good taste. But she still recognized a changeling when she saw one, and really couldn't be that upset with you for not knowing the difference. And yet...

"HANDS OFF MY [NAME]!!"

You jumped, thoroughly confused. Wasn't this Aligula??? The person whose lap was your pillow? Then again... at that shout, the imposter Aligula seemed to need to remove it's mask to be able to properly see. They had been really clingy in a way that your Aligula just wasn't.

All you could really do was step back and let Aligula work out her unbridled fury on this clone... or whatever it was.

Aligula says Trick or Treat

Writing out the little cards for the silly little box, describing what was behind the black fabric curtains or at least what would be back there was how Aligula started giggling.

"I could get some really brains."

"No, jello will work just fine."

She pouted at you slightly while you stapled the black fabric to the box. It would be a fun little prank sure, but Aligula could make it more realistic.

Day 3 [Dog/ Raju/ Aligula]

Prompt: "Why'd you save me?"

Dog

Things weren't looking good in the slightest. This city could be relentless and Dog was only ever able to get out for instances that had the city practically under siege. He just wanted to go see you for a change, was that really too much to ask.

Though he was thoroughly shocked to see you in the middle of all the action, using a frying pan as a weapon and shield of all things. It was a bit mesmerizing to say the least, until you hurled the cook ware right at him.

Of course, Dog was more than capable of dodging it, but he didn't realize what you had really been aiming at. A large creature was knocked back with a frying pan in its face.

"Why did you save me?" Dog blurted out, "I'm suppose to be saving you!"

"Can't we discuss this later?" You nearly yelped as he scooped you over his shoulder, "Ya know, when there aren't a hundred-something monsters running around?"

"Right right, sorry."

Raju

The pain both of you were in, despite the razor-sharp fangs digging into your neck, draining your vitality, sinking in deeper for what felt like the 12th time already. Raju was frozen in disbelief, not wanting to believe his eyes, hoping desperately that this was all a terrible nightmare.

"You won't be able to move for a moment my dear," The tall figure behind you cooed, "Unfortunate side effects of becoming what your ex considers just a monster."

The hand gripping the cane was in serious danger of becoming pure white, even as the loud crack of splintered wood and bone rang through the silence. Raju didn't even begin to think of using flame and wind to destroy the blood breed in front of him. Thankfully this one wasn't Elder class, but that didn't make your transformation any less painful.

The shrieks that would haunt Raju's every waking moment as well as his nightmares. Unable to do more than watch, he refused to accept that you would change any. And you woke up safely tucked in bed. Unable to move due to Raju's limp form covering your body.

"Raju?" He stirred sleepily, head raising just enough that you were confident he could hear you, "Why did you save me? I'm a... a..."

"Shh." Raju petted your head, gently stroking your face, "You're better than that brute I put down. Far stronger a person than most."

Aligula

Everything seemed to be going just fine, all your calculations were sound and the vials on the counter were perfectly measured out. It was just a matter of the clingy, pink-haired girl on your arm. You couldn't ignore her forever.

"C'mon baaaaabe!" Aligula whined, "Can't this waaaait? I neeeeeeed you!"

You let out a long sigh, "You always neeeeed me. Just a few more minutes and I'll be done. I promise."

Aligula huffed and stormed off a little, pouting like a spoiled brat again. It wasn't like this would take forever, and what Aligula didn't know was that this was something for her specifically.

After pouring the final vial into the bowl, you stood back. This thing would be a slimy mess at first, nothing that a good shake wouldn't solve. And just before it could shake the gunk off its fur, the creature tried to lunge at you.

Of course, you'd forgotten the pacifier gene. You always seemed to do that.

But Aligula was quick to defend you, throwing an instant fire starter at the little monster. Leaving you only slightly dazed after tripping on your coattails.

You blinked slowly, "Why... why'd you save me?"

"So you can keep cuddling me!" Aligula stamped her foot, grabbing the collar of your coat and dragging you off, "And since I saved your life, you can't get out of it!"

"But I made that creature for you, it was just about to become a cute little fluff ball!"

"No excuses! Cuddles!"

Day 13 [Daniel/ Raju/ Aligula]

Prompt: "...Always something more important"

Daniel

This ate at Daniel, always having to run off. And in the middle of dates no less. So when he saw you gathering things in your shared apartment, he couldn't blame you for what you were doing.

"Pie, listen." Daniel wasn't trying to get in your way at all, "I know this has been a lot. And that you deserve someone who can give you more of their time. But-"

"I don't want to hear it, Danny." You were fighting back tears, "If it was just work I'd understand. But this seems to be everything. It isn't just that work is more important, I knew what dating a police officer would mean, what it would be like. This is everything else."

Daniel stopped, still holding onto one of your scarves, "What do you mean?"

"It seems that everything from spots games, to whatever you're doing on the computer, to even your brother's problems... no matter how big or small an issue. It just seems like there's always something more important than me."

"Pie..." Daniel tried to grab your hand, "C'mon Pie, you know that's not true..."

"No, I kinda don't." You started walking for the door with your suitcase in hand, "And its a little too late for explanations now."

Raju

This was strange, to say the least. Raju was certain he knew where your apartment was. And yet, the window was closed and there was no sign that you were even still in this apartment building.

Had something happened? Were you evicted? Was it just getting too loud at night?

Raju managed to find you by some miracle, unsure why you wouldn't tell him if something was going wrong. He wanted to help after all, as much as he could.

"[Name], what happened?" Raju floated down beside your car, "I tried to return home but the window was closed, and it looked as if you moved."

You let out a deep sigh, "Raju, I just... I can't handle the long stretches of alone time. I understand why, I just. It comes off as you always having something more important to do. So I closed the window myself. And... packed away most of the knick knacks."

Raju reached out to touch your shoulder, upset when you drew back.

"[Name], I don't know what to tell you. My work has always been dangerous and learning to share my life with someone else is... its not something I've done before."

You looked at him, this had to be the first time he's ever shared anything about his past. At least, anything concrete that wasn't training or the past... 20-something years. Though, you didn't even know how old Raju was so who knows what counts as recent history for him.

"My kind aren't exactly known for creating familial units the way humas do. We only ever spend time together for sexual interactions and the occasional feast. But if you're telling me that you need me to be around more often, then I can attempt to do so. It won't be easy, but I believe it will be worth it."

Raju still didn't have a filter when it came to speaking his mind, but there was a kind of sweetness to his words. It was still difficult to justify him being gone for 8 months at a time, though if you used that summoning method as a reminder...

Aligula

Aligula was hunched over a large paper, plans for another pass at Deldro and Hummer. Her thoughts had flown right out the window when she noticed Klaus on the television a couple of days ago. And no matter what you said or did, she wasn't budging in the slightest.

"Lily, tell me something I don't know." You propped up on your elbows, "What's so special about this guy? Like why are you going after him when you have me right here?"

"Becaaaause!" She whined, "I was dating Deldro first. And then the million and one chances of finding Hummer, with his perfect face to just die for fell right in my lap. I neeeed them back in my life."

You sighed, straightening up, "They're always gonna be more important huh?"

Aligula didn't even register what you said. Nor did she know that you'd left until after her defeat. She spent a good three hours looking everywhere for you, but all she found was a small note.

"Always gonna be second best, aren't I? You'll always have something more important to do..."

Day 20 [Chain/ Dog/ Aligula]

Prompt: "You're bleeding... badly"

Chain

Upon hearing a loud shout from the kitchen, Chain rushed in. Not entirely sure what to do, or even how she could help. All she knew was to make an attempt. However, the scene she ran into was not pretty.

You had cut part of your finger open while slicing onions.

Chain winced a little, "You're bleeding... badly."

"You think?" You were already sobbing because of the onions, "Could you just get some bandages? And the neosporin."

Chain didn't really know how you got so distracted, but at the very least it wasn't an extremely deep wound. Just one that would sting for a couple days and require extra care.

And Chain would have to be the one to finish cooking. Something she wasn't very good at in the first place. ...at least most of it was done already.

Dog

Being part of a group like Libra came with certain expectations. One of which was being injured on the job. Unfortunately for you, that also extended to your slightly oblivious lover. And boy was he a damage sponge.

So it was no surprise when the dust settled, that Dog was completely ignoring the gaping blood stain running down his side. Only bothering to look when you backed away from his hug.

"You're bleeding." You pointed at his lower ribcage, "Badly. You should probably get to a doctor to have it looked at."

Dog blinked, looking down at the growing stain, "It could also be Deldro trying to play a prank."

Regardless, Dog lifted his shirt and revealed that NOPE! he had somehow burst open a whole bruise and Deldro was trying to stem the bleeding, to very little sucess.

You really needed to start carrying around massive rolls of bandages. Though thankfully Gilbert was always prepared for situations like this. Now you just had to hope he wasn't infected... that would make everything 100x worse.

Aligula covered in blood so can't tell if it be hers or something elses

Looking up from your book you nearly jumped out of your chair. Aligula was standing there, covered in blood. While this was normal on some level, it was still deeply disturbing. Needless to say, you had several questions...

"Why are you covered in blood? Who's blood is it? Are you bleeding?"

Aligula looked down at her ruined clothes, "Huh, on right. I forgot about the blood."

You couldn't help but facepalm. Of course, she 'forgot' about the blood on her clothes. It was a simple matter of forcing her into the bathroom to make sure she wasn't seriously injured... and enduring the flirting about "taking advantage" of her.

Shaking your head and kissing the top of hers, you stood back so she could strip and step into a warm shower.

"Uh, Lily... you're bleeding." You placed a gentle hand on the small of her back, just under a large wound, "Badly."

"Where?"

She twisted in the shower, trying to see where you had your hand. You moved so she could see herself in the mirror.

"There. What happened?"

"I dunno. I was trying to fix something and heard a loud crash."

"So then something must have fallen and scraped you." You sighed, "But that doesn't explain the rest of the blood."

"Oh that," Aligula smiled, it was kinda creepy, "I was working on the cutest little thing. It should be waking up soon."

You tried, you really tried to not be surprised that Aligula would go back to living being experimentation. But all you could do to distract yourself was help her bandage the thankfully shallow cut on her back.

Day 26 [Steven/ Dog/ Aligula]

Prompt: "Why are you here?"

Steven

Hours ticked by, time lost on the dark-haired man as keys clacked rhythmically. Endless lines of code for God knows how many times this month.

You stood in the doorway, seven on the dot, arms folded with a very clear scowl across your face. Steven had taken one too many days in a row staying at the office. While you did have Klaus's word, which was better than the gold standard, you still doubted that Steven was actually resting properly... despite being locked in one of the spare rooms at the office.

Clearing your throat as you approached the long table in the middle of the office, You set a lunch bag right next to the key board Steven was still working tirelessly at.

And yet none of that got his attention...

"Steven!"

He jumped in his chair, blinking up at you as you frowned.

"Huh? [Name]? Why are you here? Its.... its..."

"Yeah, it's seven in the morning. You look like you haven't eaten anything of substance in days. And you promised you'd behave while I was on mission."

Steven hung his head, "For what it's worth, Klaus has been locking me in one of the rooms upstairs every night. But the lock is on a timer so five a.m. I get back to work."

You blinked slowly at Steven, frown deepening. He realized all too late how badly he just tattled on himself and was a mess trying to back peddle what he said versus what he meant.

Dog

How did you let things get this late? Trying to surprise Dog on his birthday was going south in a hurry, especially as you had underestimated how long it would take to fill so many balloons by hand.

But he shouldn't be here for another hour yet so...

You checked the cake again. Finally cooked all the way through thankfully, and with enough time it could cool and be iced before...

"Wow! Something smells tasty!"

Too late...

"Dog!" You tried to steer him away from the kitchen, hoping he wouldn't look in the living room, "Why are you here? And so soon... I haven't had a chance to clean up."

"Huh?" He tilted his head, "What do you mean? Your place is always clean, Peach."

You didn't want to tell him what you were doing, "Most of the time, but I had friends over last night. I just need another hour..."

"I don't mind helping you clean, Berry!" Dog smiled, "It'll be done in half an hour if I do!"

Think... think... think...

"Uh, actually I needed to get a couple of things." You panicked, "Would you mind doing that? Pretty please?"

"Sure!"

The door closed and you felt like sliding down it. Instead, you pulled your phone out and called K.K. she'd be able to help.

Aligula

This plan would go perfectly smooth, if only these meanie jerk-faces of Libra would stop getting in Aligula's way, she'd be happy. They only made her life harder, yelling about civil casualties and order and whatever else they seemed to care so much about.

"Object of Interest in view. Error, Object of Interest in path. Error."

Aligula scratched her head. No, you shouldn't be out and about today. You said something about needing to pick up a couple things, but that should be on the other side of town. Right? Aligula was going after Deldro and Hummer after all, you shouldn't be anywhere nearby.

Unless those meanie jerk faces kidnapped you too!

But no. You're little bike was just in the middle of the road. You weren't anywhere near it. Or you were in the store. Something like that.

Aligula parked, as well as one could park a tank in the street. You were just stepping out of the store when Aligula landed a few feet to the side.

"Aligula?" You tilted your head at her, "Why are you here?"

"I should be asking you that!" She huffed, "I thought you weren't going to be over here!"

"Oh, that." You held up the bag in your hands, "Well Jenik's didn't have the right thing so I had to come over here for it. I sent you a text."

"Huh. Guess I never saw it."

"I should have known. You check your phone maybe once a day, if that."

"Hey!"

Day 31-4 [Raju/ Femt/ Aligula]

Prompt: "You know what you have to do..."

Raju

Staring at the strange cube in his palm, Raju turned the object over and over between blood threads and his hand. In all his years, he'd never seen something so simple yet so very complex. Was this supposed to be a device for children? It certainly was colorful enough to suggest so.

"You know what you have to do with that," You spoke up, "Right?"

"... Peel the stickers?"

"No, you..." You let out an exasperated sigh as you plucked the toy from his hand, "You twist it gently like this."

"Why though?" Raju stared intently as you handed the cube back to him, "What purpose does this serve?"

"It's a puzzle." You sighed, "The point is to figure out how to put all the little squares of the same color on one side. A pattern-based logic puzzle."

After several silent moments, Raju huffed in frustration.

"What kind of demented huma made this!?" The click of the toy furiously in his hands, "There's no way this is a game! Let alone one made for children! This is a convoluted torture devise!"

You giggled a little at him. You understood his anguish all too well. After all, you'd owned this Rubik's cube for years and still haven't solved it yet.

Femt

Femt was a tad bit grumpy after rescuing his dearie from the boring goodie-goodies known as Libra. They had mistaken your appearance in the background of his broadcast for him having kidnapped you for some nefarious purpose. They genuinely thought he would hurt you.

PFFT! As if!

You were his muse, his inspiration, his consort if the mood was just right. But you would never be his victim or plaything. Femt had far too much respect for you to even begin to entertain such a nonsensical notion.

"Femt sweetie!" Your voice rang through the shared apartment, "Don't make me come drag you out of your lab! Dinner's ready!"

It was almost like he had a teleportation device in his pocket because Femt wasted no time draping himself off your shoulders. Soft yet possessive kisses pressed to your shoulder, invisible marks across the love of his life. One that he never imagined putting in the effort of going to find.

"You know what you have to do later, right?" You nuzzled his forehead gently, "Afterwards?"

Femt pouted a little, "If you're implying the dishes then no. I had to save you from those sticks at Libra, so fair is fair."

You chuckled, "No, not the dishes. After that."

The blush rising on his face made Femt so cute. His embarrassed babbling over what would happen after dinner had you both giggly and excited.

Aligula

An annoyed groan escaped Aligula. You had jumped in front of her to save her life. But now here you were in the hospital because you lost an arm and a leg in the process. It ticked Aligula off to no end. This so wasn't fair!

"Lily dearest," You smiled tiredly at her, "You know what you have to do, don't you?"

Huffing as she sat on the side of the bed, "All I know is I have to get used to one arm hugs now. And it is just the most unfair thing ever!"

"Or..." You tried containing giggles over how adorably she pouted, "You could make some custom prosthetics for me."

There was a slight silence over the room. Aligula hadn't thought about that at all. And while the hugs would be nice and tight, she wasn't convinced.

"Please, sweetie?" You batted your eyes, "I know anything you make would be so much better than what anyone else could make. We could paint them hot pink so everyone knows that I belong to you~"

You certainly drove a hard bargain. And sadly, Aligula couldn't resist that playful tone. Or the compliments you gave. Or your cute face...

"Alright, alright!" She caved. "But only cause you're so cute, babe."

Alone Together [Aligula x Reader]

You weren't entirely sure why Aligula needed a place to stay, but you were more than willing to let her crash with you. At least for a few days, since you didn't know what all she did in her spare time. She looked a little singed as she stepped into your apartment, smelled a little singed too. But you weren't going to pry, much.

"Lily, you okay?"

"Of course I am [Name]!" She puffed out her chest, "What makes you ask that?"

You folded your arms with a soft huff, "Well let's see, you showed up at my place looking like a kitten that just escaped a house fire. Something's gotta be up, but I'm a little more concerned that you might be injured."

Being ambushed with a tight hug around the neck had you flailing for balance.

"[Name]!" She squealed in your ear, "You're too sweet!"

"That doesn't answer my question shorty! My spine isn't meant to bend this way ya know!"

Aligula outed as she let go reluctantly, "Well excuse me sky scraper! I was just glad someone cared about me... for once."

You let out a deep sigh, turning to lead Aligula further into your apartment. Knowing your friend just a little too well, you had the couch set up for yourself so she could take the bed. A thousand plus excuses for why she couldn't sleep on the couch had already been thrown around.

Though you were jumping up at least six times an hour because Aligula just wouldn't fall asleep. The thought of spiking her cocoa with a sleep aid crossed your mind more than once, but you were certain that she'd pick up on it and throw a hissy fit.

"[Name]!" Aligula reached out to you, "Its too cold in here!"

"Lily, how many more blankets do you need? You're gonna turn my room into a hibernation cave."

She pouted, dropping her arms, "I wouldn't need a ton of blankets if you'd just stay in here with me ya know."

"Uh... uh huh." You stood there blinking for a moment, "Is that what you've been trying to do all night? Make me ask you out or something?"

"You know I'm absolutely adorable and deserve cuddles!" Aligula rolled over to hide her blushing face, "And you just happen to be the closet person for that right now."

Her voice dropped to a whisper, "And the only person I trust..."

You let out a heavy sigh, "Alright, scooch over Pinky."

Climbing in behind her was easy enough, but you nearly fell out of the bed with how forcefully she jumped you. She was clinging with all her might and then some, trying to convince you to kiss her. You couldn't help but chuckle at how she was acting, vaguely wondering if this was some kind of weird potion malfunction. Barely managing to get her to settle with a kiss to the forehead.

Aligula Head Cannons

So, I've always spelled her name AliguLa not AliguRa because of how it sounds in the anime (where I was first introduced to her) thus the pet name Lily and such... that and I have tried studying Japanese as a language and they don't typically pronounce L (best example I have is from Death Note where they call Light Kira because it sounds like Killer. See, R instead of L's...) anyways, rant over. Not that anyone has ever tried correcting me, I'm just hyper-caffeinated and working on everything at once (in a good way) and this just crept up on me like a bad leg cramp -^-

Her fixation on cute and girly stuff has always been part of her personality

^ This is why she even became the Queen of Monomania

She was a beauty pageant contender, but doesn't like how she can't get too far on being adorable instead of maturely beautiful

She loves the Disney Princess movies (and those that follow that kind of powerful and cute woman) and has cutesy dresses based on each

She can and will prance around singing at the top of her lungs

Though her song choice goes from Disney to Halsey to Megan Trainor and everyone in between

If it has a female lead, she listens to it and sings it

ADORES duets and love songs

Has a secret soft spot for Country music (though her aesthetic is more pop)

Her bed is a nest of cute plushies, good luck escaping the plushie pit...

Despite her cute aesthetic, she despises unicorns. Not even Femt knows why though... (she prefers elephants... ???)

She also has a proclivity for horror movies (and gory ones but she'll never admit it)

PKMN AU 1&2: She has multiple Phanpy and Cufant that she gushes over constantly. She never trains them or shows them off, but she does adore them

Children of Libra AU: never causes chaos around the schools because she has a soft spot for kids in general (she doesn't want to admit it though, only she can be cute in the relationship...)

She loves game nights, but she gets insanely competitive so its best to keep it to simple games like Scene It and Apples to Apples

She is like an elf or a dwarf, once she starts working on a project, you won't see her for days at a time

She will always try to prolong cuddling, doesn't matter if it's on the couch, the bed, or just swaying in the kitchen while trying to cook, she will not let go

She isn't good at cooking, but she's excellent at baking and candy making (melting chocolates, hard tac candies, and caramel)

She usually outsources most of her coding for her machines, but she does all the building and welding for each project

She rivals Patrick and Neyka in that department, though she doesn't make "traditional" weapons

Other than Dog and Deldro, she's only "loved" three other people (not counting x Reader/ s/o)

Though those three people were long before she became Queen of Monomania

Her bedroom is an absolute mess, but her labs are perfectly organized

^ But heaven help you if you try tidying up cause she really does know where everything is and won't appreciate you moving it all around

Klaus: Sometimes he's young, sometimes he's hot, sometimes he's toon, sometimes he's not. But he's always HYEH!

Steven: I mean, you don't need that last Heart Piece Container. You'll just have nineteen of them up there on your screen, daunting you.

Leo: HYEH missed orientation and has to prove himself every game to the finicky goddesses.

Sonic: Where... Where'd you get that heart Picori? Where'd you get that?

Zapp: Uh... I'm feeling like a... pshshshbt... a pizza. A Hero's pizza, but its gonna need the sacred toppings.

Zed: Ever wanna kiss a fish on its fishy fish lips? Look at all these attractive fish! You can kiss this fish, or this fish, or this fish! The fish-abilities are end-fish.

Chain: Zelda chills out in a dungeon somewhere and makes HYEH pick up her dry cleaning.

Dog: Why did I get this thing again?

Gilbert: Good luck hitting me with that 19 year old control scheme! Ugh, they got the 3DS remake... doesn't count.

K.K.: Zelda doesn't have a personality, except in Windwaker where she's a cool pirate. Oops, boring Princess mode activate...

Daniel: Sometimes he shows up at the end of the game and uses the darkest magic of all... plagerism.

Raju: Ganondorf is a wizard, who doesn't know what wizards are...

Femt: Ganondorf wants to take over Hyrule for... reasons...

Aligula: In Breath of the Wild you can unlock her personality, yep... that's. That's what I'm focused on it these cutscenes...

Day 9: "Are you wearing chapstick?" [x Aligula]

After Aligula's last attempt to capture her 'lover' Dog and Deldro... which sounded like two different people to you but... You knew she would need something to get her mind off it. All you could do was hope she didn't crack her teeth this time. You barely managed to fix them last time.

While you were secretly glad she couldn't get ahold of her... ex? You still cared about her and hated seeing her upset. So this was second nature for you, if stuck in a weird limbo of emotion.

Aligula however, had other plans to make herself feel better. Dressing up in an elegant and cute style before ambushing you at the door and demanding that you dance with her. You couldn't help but smirk and shake your head.

Of course she would do something like this...

But you insisted on putting things away first, something she begrudgingly agreed to. After which, you were expected to dance around the apartment.

And how could you say no to that cute little face?

Something caught your eye, a slight glint on Aligula's lips. You knew she wasn't as keen on make-up when she wasn't planning something. But what was she up to?

"Are you wearing sparkly chapstick?"

Aligula giggled up at you, "Wanna find out?"

"Is that an invitation?" You snickered, "Or a request?"

You never got a verbal answer as she leaned up on her toes. All you could do was support her as she kissed you. Her chapstick was faintly soda flavored... leaving you wondering why it had glitter in it. Unless Aligula made it herself...

Day 10: "I trust you." "That was your first mistake" [x Aligula]

The kitchen was an absolute mess, you didn't know how Aligula managed to get pudding in the oven hood, but here you were. Covered head to toe in a batch of pudding and watching it drip from impossible places. You knew Aligula wasn't the best in the kitchen but how did she mess up stirring pudding?

"I trusted you, Lily." You moaned, "How did you manage to get pudding in all these places?"

"That was your first mistake." Aligula huffed, "I was trying a new little device for helping in the kitchen."

"Well now we need to clean everything."

"Including you." Aligula snickered, "That'll be fun."

"Don't act like you don't need a shower too Lily." You were trying so hard not to smile, "But we can manage with a cat bath so this doesn't have time to dry before we can get it out of the vents."

Aligula pouted, "But the house would smell like chocolate! We can't pass up that opportunity!"

"We can, we will, we shall." You sighed, "This is non-negotiable. Chocolate in the vents will attract rats and Femt ran out of traps last time you tried cooking."

"So why'd you let me cook again?"

"IT WAS PUDDING!" Aligula giggled at your frustration, "How you managed to blow up a bowl of pudding belongs in a fricken record book somewhere."

"We'll burn that bridge when we get there. One problem at a time."

Rolling your eyes, you started running the tap water. Maybe you should have a perma-ban against Aligula. Taking pictures to remind you of all the weird things she's done to get to this point. At least she hasn't set fire to milk... yet.

Day 23: "Does it make you nervous when I stare?" [x Aligula]

After everything you'd been through, Aligula seemed like the perfect partner... until she turned her attention to you. It gave you the feeling of being under a microscope and experience told you that was a horrible thing. That you were going to be injured in some way.

Not helping matters was your sprained ankle. Aligula simply wouldn't leave your side for anything.

"Oh, I'll be right back [Name]." She bounced up off the couch, "I almost forgot the kettle."

You let out a deep breath you didn't realize you'd been holding. A little ashamed to be so weird with her. She was just trying to help you, nothing about how Aligula acted would make you feel as if you were in danger.

But here you were, barely able to deal with the situation you were in.

"Cocoa!" Aligula was much slower holding two mugs, "You want a peppermint stick in yours?"

"Uh, yeah." You tried sitting up a little, "That would nice Lily."

That giant grin, you folded so fast as the color rose on your cheeks. She was so adorable... sometimes. But she would probably start yelling if you said that out loud. Not in a bad way, but you still wanted to avoid that at all costs.

She snuggled up to you, sliding a hand on your leg. You hated how heavy you were breathing, Aligula was just being her usual snuggly self. Having just put a large peppermint stick in both the mugs of cocoa and just trying to be nice and sweet, and here you were still fighting yourself because of your past of terrible lovers.

"Babe, are you okay?"

"Y-yeah!" You tried smiling at her, "I'm fine."

The soft frown you were met with hurt, "Does it just make you nervous? Me staring and being so clingy?"

You didn't want to answer, but your silence told her what she already knew. Aligula wasn't going to change, she couldn't force you to be okay with her either.

"I'm sorry Lily." You muttered, "I know you aren't like that. That you're the furthest from my exes that anyone could possibly be but... I... I just."

"Shhh." She nuzzled against your cheek, "You aren't doing anything wrong, I just don't want you to be that quiet about it. Cause you're usually just as snuggly as I am."

"I... I'll try to--"

Aligula wasn't giving you that chance to promise anything, kissing you hard. It really helped you get over your guilt and fear, until Aligula's foot hit your ankle... leaving you to whimper while she jumped up for an ice pack.

Day 28: "You're the love of my life, of course I came" [x Aligula]

You didn't know the first thing about the group of people around you at the moment... except that they were extremely annoying. Despite telling them you weren't in danger, they insisted they were trying to help. But if they really wanted to help, they'd let you go back to your date instead of making you late for it.

Lily wouldn't be too pleased, but there seemed to be no end to how much they would ignore you.

"It's quite alright Mx." A large red-haired man gestured in an attempt to soothe any possible fears, "You're perfectly safe here."

"I was perfectly safe before you abducted me, sir." You shot, "If you'd let me leave, I might be able salvage my date."

Though the fanged man looked uncomfortable and apologetic, it was the dark-haired man slightly behind him that continued to argue.

"We have on good authority that Aligula, the Queen of Monomania, was headed in that direction. And moreover, that you were her main target."

You groaned, pinching your nose. These people couldn't be serious. You were hoping that Aligula would be coming for you. This was just plain frustrating to deal with.

"Mx., this is a matter of your safety." The scarred man kept going, "We know what she's capable of and are simply trying to keep you out of danger."

"I WASN'T IN DANGER UNTIL YOU SNATCHED ME OFF THE STREET YOU IDIOTS!"

Just before you could attempt to walk off, the ground shook. For the first time, you were actually excited to see what might be making that noise. Even as you nearly fell, though the tallest man had reached for you. It almost seemed like an instinct for him.

"[NAME]!" You'd recognize that adorably bratty voice anywhere, "[NAME]! Where are YOUUUUU~?"

Skirting around as many of the outstretched arms as you could, "I'm over here! Lily!"

A tall fish-man had caught your wrist, stopping you while everyone else looked on in shock. How did you have a cutesy pet name for someone that... evil?

Though it wasn't long before Aligula was peering in the window, scanning for you. There were several small bots forming a sort of cloud under her feet.

Waving happily between escape attempts, "Lily, you came for me!"

"Of course I did silly!" She smirked, her bots laser cutting the glass, metal, and wood, "You're the love of my life."

You could feel the shock and horror in the room, but you didn't care in the slightest. Finally able to break the fish's grip and scoop Aligula up in a tight hug. Nuzzling against her face as she tried covering yours in little kisses.

"You were so late for our date." She pouted, "What happened?"

"Sorry sweetie." You couldn't stop grinning, "I got caught up in something. But I don't have anything to do for the rest of the day, movies and snuggles?"

"Oh yes~" She grinned, "That'll absolutely make up for that."

You stepped out over the balcony, carrying Aligula, and knowing that her little bots would catch you. Ignoring the protests and squawking at you for everything you were doing.

Klaus

The second largest (just behind Dog) and the one with the least amount of flight response. His knuckleduster is just a discarded cross necklace that he found. Very protective of the other Speed Monkeys and won't hesitate to rally the rest of Libra to help with things.

Steven

He has to constantly find something to activate Esmerelda Blood Freeze, though it has such a limited range that he's more effective just kicking his opponents... No one knows that the excess shadows tailing him are actually his goon squad. Only really loyal to and protective over Klaus.

Leo

The smallest little monkey and the one who is constantly and consistently in trouble the most. Squints mostly because of all the sand that gets in his eyes until he found a pair of toy goggles to wear.

Zapp

Lil terrorist. Sets fire to a lot of things without activating his blood technique. Usually causing trouble for everyone (especially Klaus and Leo) and gets pissed when little kids call him a "Shiny". But will do whatever you want for enough bananas.

Zed

The calmest of them all, but that's because he's a hybrid of Speed Monkey and Sea Monkey. Can breathe both air and water without equipment and has little issue swimming versus jumping (though he hates running with wet fur). He will not hesitate to use his blood trident (especially to snag food from far off).

Chain

The most silent of them all, always sneaking around and getting things she wants. Has a massive stash of broken, shiny junk hidden in a little alcove very well hidden from prying eyes.

Dog

The largest and sweetest little monkey, except for Deldro being his blood. Usually very popular with small children because of his tame demeanor as he is always getting petted and given treats. Up until Deldro pops out... with his background being very similar with Aligula meshing the two together through (whatever method she was able to do)

Gilbert

A very skinny monkey, also a hybrid with natural regenerative abilities. Has looked after Klaus since he was young and keeps up with a small, abandoned playhouse for the Libra Monkeys to gather at. He manages to find all the best food (but almost forces everyone to share if it weren't for Klaus being just as stubborn about that).

K.K.

Constantly throwing things that look like guns at people to protect other Monkeys. Keeps up with a large brood of Monkeys as her family, and Libra as a secondary family. As soon as she finds/ makes 'working' guns, she just keeps up with a ton of rocks to fire.

Lucky

One of the most serious Monkeys, always carrying a toy suitcase full of scraps of paper from different restaurants so he remembers where the best dumpsters are. Goes all over the city and only occasionally runs with the rest of Libra.

Daniel

Annoyed by all the other Monkeys and tries to avoid them... doesn't work at all since he gets into a lot of trouble. Just grumpy all the time and grumbling whenever he has to play nice with Libra.

Raju

Vicious Monkey, will not play nice... unless you have food. He fights all the time and has lost feet from having to escape traps. But he still has blood abilities to keep moving and stealing food. Doesn't associate with Libra much... but has been around Zapp and Zed enough to teach them how to survive.

Femt

An actual little terrorist trying to cause as much chaos as his little paws can. Can and will bite people, even if given food. Has no problem with releasing all the animals in shelters and pet shops.

Aligula

Constantly stalking Dog and being a little terrorist about it. High-speed races through the city trying to get him. She knows how to rig machinery and work vehicles.
