I also have so many questions about the mind related signets …
Like if they keep their shield up, and are still able to use their power .. do they drain energy faster ???? Since they are doing a lot with their minds ? Or if they keep the shields up, does that limit their use of their signet ???
Like I need more on their powers … like is Rebecca going to explain more about those signets ??? Or are they going to be plot holes ???
So I have actually soooo many questions
about mind related signets, shields, lesser magic…..
So mind related signets…. when the person uses their signet are their shields up or down? Does it matter? Do they need to lower their shields to use them? Is it completely unrelated?
Like yeah we know people need to have their shields up at all times to block out their dragons and theoretically violet could’ve blocked Dain’s signet if she had access to Tairn's power, we also know Violet successfully blocked out Xaden from speaking mind to mind…. Did she also block his second signet? (Not that he was trying to reas her, he didn’t read her intentions after the whole amber memory thing but in theory)
But does Dain need to lower his shields to get into her memories? Is that why Varish said Xaden dropped his shields like a novice? Was Xaden reading Varish?
As far as I can tell most riders can’t tell if others have their shields up or down unless they have a mind related signet and they try to use it. And honestly not a lot of riders have those, we have a lot of element related signets, even menders are about something physical, but the shields confuse me when it relates to signets.
When Xaden and Violet talk mind to mind… are their shields somewhat lowered? Is that why if there’s another inntinnsic they would theoretically hear them talk? If so… talking mind to mind could be dangerous during battle? Would that leave them somewhat vulnerable and exposed?
What about cat? Cause like she can be blocked with runes but not shields??? Since it’s lesser magic… could riders practice that ability??

I love xaden 😭 I started fourth wing. I was reading one by Britanny c. Cherry and it was amazingggg but half way through it I wanted a bit of fantasy so I switched for a bit but I’m having fun so that’s what matters to me I case.
“Should I get the wing leader” tairn is the funniest asshole I know 😭 also xaden sharing mentally, his vision of the previous night? Rip me I died dead.

I was reading iron flame and the second Violet said “team work” about xaden her and dain killing varrish, the first thing that came to my mind was this clip (I edited what I had in mind) because im a the walking dead fan and had this clip saved for so long now.

I’m gonna pretend iron flame didn’t just end like this or else I swear to god I might actually just go to the nearest bridge and jump off it and be so very glad I don’t know how to swim while I slowly drown but the pain won’t be even closer to what i felt finishing this fucking book. Anyways I’m hungry.

Hmmm I don’t know. It’s an interesting point but I think that punched was definitely deserved because a) both sisters were mourning his death and b) his father died of grieve!!!! So him being alive made his father die for practically nothing and they didn’t loose just a brother, they lost the father too. To me violets reaction was too simple but I’m happy they reunited I guess 🤷♀️
