did some eye practice with otto and noones' eyes and how I draw them
wips of otto and noone's refs ! some soft design notes OTTO DESIGN NOTES - I like to think the eye clothing is something he seemingly picked to try and be more connected to cece in some sense, a lot of spirals and areas were he is just littered in eyes that are scattered just as much as are his goals and motivations - his coat is meant to be a little too big for him, people theorize about the candleman / ferryman being like otto or that they're one in the same and while it is interesting, I like to think they're parallel to one another and I use that as a means of the coat being kind of like the candleman / ferryman's - mismatched sock supremacy !!!!!!! - broski carries sweets wherever he goes, I like to think he has a general sweet tooth because he kind of eats candies in the middle of the night while going over noone's session tapes, mans got have his girl dinner NOONE DESIGN NOTES - theys got a tooth gap because honestly with the way noone's voice actor speaks, I just think it's funky doo silly and makes it even more precious when she has moments where she smiles because you get to see her tooth gap reflect itself - traditional patient clothing but with a little more detail, just to make it kind of cozy + some shorts - I like to think she and otto have molees and that noone's moles are moreso on their legs or around their shoulders - dirty feet because you gotta be so real with me that noone just is an outside kid or likes to play with bugs or collects them like they explained with the moths so girlie is watching stick bugs dance you can't prove otherwise - and the scars are from nightmares, I like to think a little of the nowhere creeps up more than just mental / internal in them so it might've been from just times where nightmares got particularly difficult or she cut themselves at some points while running and otto often helped with cleaning up the scars / could be an accident from gardening or etc.

ON GOD THAT SHIT IS IN MY DOCUMENT AND HAS BEEN STUFF I"VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT FOR A LONG TIME NOW !! /pos to me the entirety of chapter three is so interesting in the fact that it really shows how otto is worried for noone and how he actually, before things got as bad as they did, really had a large amount of care for her until because he grown too stubborn to see his own faults, chalked it up to abandonment by choice. because she did want to get away from him because of how far he was pushing it with his behavior but it's like. this entire moment is what gets me the most because it is just the questioning on : " warped by pain, do you feel that sometimes? " like really fucking concerned about that dream in particular. because it just represents him the most, I'll take a snippet from what I put down in my document + the clip but it is so fucking interesting to me !!

I think ch3 also triggered some of Otto's trauma or smth....? I mean, look how he reacted right after listening Noone's story. You know at the end of her dream The PA screamed scarily “Everyone needs someone. Don't leave me alone!” and sobbed when the Candleman took her, “Don't take her. Not this one too.”
A few seconds of silence and you can actually listen how unsettled he is for a moment. How his breathing slightly shuddered.
No wonder why he hugged her so tightly after that.
But then the mirror fell off and was broken bcs he held her too tight. I love how they put this kinda subtext in the podcast. The uneasiness of it. The writings on the wall... He also smacked a moth flying around the light, the little creature that fascinates Noone.
yeah, I just honestly find it all so interesting their dynamic because it's really a circumstance with both individuals really seemed eager to try and work through their issues but on otto's end all his care went into misguided actions of general manipulation and being pushy to know about the candleman, the dreams, and neglecting her health the more he went on a downward spiral and I really like looking at both aspects of him and noone I do hope you or anyone else doesn't take this as me generally going ' oh he's such a good person ' because to me he's more of a person who tries to do good but is really failing to do so because he's too caught up in the past to look at what harm he's inflicted on the present, he's got a lot of layers to me and I find them all interesting and more or less consider him really sad more than anything /gen my document put it best, if you want to give it a read because I wrote something down after someone asked about my opinions on him. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1M41vWw3GWgsVhK2PEMDSrZss9rjhieDjEbHozyhhYgM/edit?usp=sharing also gonna edit this rq and say I really don't mind and even get why so many people really do hate this man bc for what its all worth, he is an absolute piece of shit, I just have a lot of brainrot on him and he's a hyperfixation and I see him in a much diff lense than other people /gen

also while I do talk about otto mostly because of the fact I have a lot of thoughts on him, I'd really like to go into how noone is as a character because she is inherently the better person than otto but I also feel like she does carry a few flaws and more than that there is a lot you could gage about her experiences and general background that I feel like are really something that kind of makes it where I really wished maybe even the game had more comics to explore the counties specifically on the water disease she had and what ehr experiences where with her old doctor and her own family and it makes it even worse thinking about the fact she's in the nowhere kind of away from her parents and on her own to experience a lot more of what used to be her nightmares but now is her reality so if anyone wants to ask me about some things I think about regarding noone ( also ruth I know is their name too btw ) then I'd really like to talk about it

Noone going with the Ferryman in The Lonely Way was not supposed to be a triumphant middle finger to Otto, but a way to show how manipulative the Ferryman truly is.
RCG will likely have no further significance in the franchise.
VLN does the best possible job of emulating the feel of the main games within the confines of it's art and gameplay styles.
The Tosher is and underrated monster in terms of design, gimmick and personality. Jord knocked it out of the park.

Okay so
I've seen people draw Otto with glasses, and I too also imagine him with glasses... but then it begs the question- Is he nearsighted or far sighted and how strong is his near/far sightedness?
Along with those questions, I'd also like to ask how would the rest of the Nightmare Kids react if they looked through his glasses? Would they even dare to look through his glasses?
If Noone was in a chipper mood at the time, I think she'd act like Otto and make her voice deeper and "pretend" to be Otto. Either that, or she'd get a headache from looking through his glasses (that is if his eyesight is absolutely horrid-) ALSO- If Otto's vision isn't that great, and Six looked through it, she'd definitely just like... make gagging noises while looking around like: "URGH-- UGH-- HOW DO YOU SEE LIKE THIS??? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS??? HURGHHGHHH--"
Little Nightmares... but flowers?
Okay so there's this thing in OMORI where each main character has a flower that correlates to their personality. Kel being a cactus because he's resilient, Hero being a rose because he's universally loved, etc.
Now what if we were to assign flowers to each Nightmare Kid?
Like Noone, Low, Mono, Six, Cici, Raincoat, etc.
I've left a whole essay on this topic below, so you can look at that if you really want to--

Ideas/flowers I assigned are listed below:
I think Mono would be a crocus or a forget-me-not. They're both colours I think he'd like, and I've always imagined Mono to be a winter-birthday kid. Crocus are flowers that bloom in late winter, and I suppose that also represents resilience in a way??? Not many flowers bloom in the winter because of the cold. As for forget-me-nots... I think it's easy to explain? Forget-me-nots usually symbolize faithfulness and remembrance, and Mono just... radiates that stuff.
Six would either be a poppy, dandelion, or a bleeding hearts flower. Poppy because they actually have two meanings! In western culture, it represents death, because of its blood-red colour, while in eastern culture, they represent success or passion, if I remember correctly. Dandelion is... self-explanatory? It's yellow, like Six's raincoat, and it's a weed- just like Six- (/hj /hj) Bleeding hearts is also self-explanatory. It's literally a flower that looks like a bleeding heart. Plus they're cool, and I think Six would think so as well. I rest my case.
Noone is probably the easiest? I mean... she did have a flower in the podcast so my homework's already done for me. I think Noone would be a chrysanthemum or a poppy. Poppy for the same reason as Six, it means death and success Chrysanthemum because it's the flower that her parents left her before she was taken under Otto's "care"
Raincoat would probably be a hibiscus or a carnation. Raincoat was a pretty short-lived character, just like how hibiscus have a short life-span. They also mean "gentle" or something of the sort. Since Raincoat radiates gentle older-sister-energy, I'm giving this to her. Red carnations are a symbol of love (both romantic and platonic), protection, and passion. Raincoat feels like a very loving character, and a passionate one at that. She feels like she'd do anything in her power to protect anyone she loves. She just... feels like a carnation.
I don't have much to say about Runaway, but he feels like a periwinkle person. Reason 1, it means hope (apparently), and Runaway seems to have a lot of ties to "hope"? I'm not sure where or how we got there, but... nonetheless it's still there. Reason 2, it's blue. That's it. It's blue, just like Runaway. I would say the typical "water lily" or "lotus", because Runaway has a lot of connections to water... but... That's basic. Plus, lotus and lilies mean like... "purity" and "calmness" and all that jazz, and the Runaway in my head is the pure and utter opposite to "calm" and "virtuous". The only lily-flower I'd refer him to would be pink or yellow water lilies. Pink because they apparently mean friendship and joy, yellow because they mean energy and new beginnings.
Low and Alone are their own can of worms that I can't even open. We know next to nothing about these two, so how am I supposed to assign a flower based on their characteristics if I have no characteristics to work with? The only thing I can offer atm is Alone being a tiger lily and Low being a Birds of Paradise flower. Tiger lily because they remind me of Alone's silly goofy hair. And Birds of Paradise because... um... bird-boy.

I'm back with another AU idea let's go
Okay so. This new idea is like... not a crossover, I'm so sorry.
I don't have a story idea or anything, all I have is ideas for each character.
Mono and Low would both be Avians from the Sky Kingdom. Mono is a Prince who can't fly, while Low is a kid who wants to be a hero/royal knight. Six could be a fire-creature from the Fire Kingdom. I had an idea where the Fire Kingdom is not doing to hot and there's mass amounts of conflict, famine, and all that jazz, which is why Six ran away from that place. Runaway is going to be a fish person because I have to entertain my headcanon in some way shape or form. I have no bloody clue what his role may be. He could be a merchant? Like, he collects random stuff from the shore and sells it under water Eda-Style (The Owl House). Raincoat might be a forest-fae of some sort, who's a Healer-in-Training. Alone on the other hand is an engineer from the Mountains.

Here to add some things to the list--
Noone is a bug-enjoyer. During school break, she goes outside to eat her food and just watches bugs crawl around. She also sometimes gives ants crumbs of bread and just watch them crawl around it. I also just want her to love isopods. THEY'RE SO SILLY <3
Low has percussion skills ✨ (Drum-boy)
There was a idea I had where Noone's school tried implementing some extra "culture courses" (spoiler alert, these lessons happened once or twice and then never came back). The most notable lessons was a languages class teaching German and French, as well as a choir-lesson. (choir was a mess and way too loud. Noone hated it)
Mono probably has a lot of trouble sleeping. (Wakes up frequently in the middle of the night, has trouble falling asleep, etc) Late at night, when things are just too much, he'd go somewhere quiet and play guitar.
Low probably broke his arm at one point... I wouldn't really put that past him ngl--(also forgor to add this, but he/them user)
Runaway has a raspy voice
At the old apartment, Noone would hide under her blankets and read books with a flashlight her grandma gave her. She lost the flashlight during the move to the fancy house
Noone is a plant-enjoyer as well Doesn't like carnivorous plants because they eat bugs, and she likes bugs so >:(
Noone was near the top of her class before the water sickness. She doesn't care too much about her grades regardless.

They don't like what they see...
Near the end of chp. 6 of the sounds of nightmares, as Noone gazes upon the giant red eye entity/all seeing eye and its many eyes, Noone takes note of them staring into her...and knows they like what they see....but what exactly does this mean? We have always theorized the eye entity and its many eyes had always maintained a constant watch over the children,
and with Residents like the Ferryman pushing children like Noone to realize the cruel and hopeless reality of their lives, to persuade them into believing the sanctuary they so desperately desire is in the Nowhere, we finally know now more than ever of one of the most crucial details about the eye entity...its preference.
Back when Little Nightmare 2 released, we theorized structures like the Tower and Maw always had a consciousness of their own and were some of many extensions of the eye entity, they were some of the many eyes theorized to have existed and remained linked to the eye entity itself.
When we thought of the Tower, we realized it had been observing Mono and Six through the t.v.'s, throughout their entire journey...and it didn't like it one bit. It disliked seeing Mono and Six together, their teamwork and above all...it disliked knowing they could overcome anything if they stayed together, and had they stayed together, well...the Tower wouldn't be able to keep Mono anymore.
In chp. 3 of the sounds of nightmares, when Noone met the Mall, another living structure like the Tower and the Maw, it tried to offer her everything she could ever desire, only to be left in a state of devastation and frustration as Noone told it she did not want anything from it and never intended to stay. Now, what does all this mean exactly? It means the eye entity has always presented itself as a being who could fulfill the desires of its visitors and Residents...though to a twisted degree...but it could never claim them so long as they did not fully grasp and fall into despair over the true devastating reality of their situation and the world around them, all so they could succumb to its hypnotic light and accept it as their only means of escaping a life filled with nothing, only suffering.
We have always theorized the eye entity detested those who did not crumble at the reality of their tormented lives, who denied the comfort it could provide them, but if what we have theorized over the years is true then, it didn't just hate it...it feared it. We have seen what happens when a child learns to accept their reality for what it is and reject the eye entity's comforting light. Not only do they become capable of resisting the eye entity's influence, they become capable of becoming far greater monsters than the Residents who tormented them, but above all... they could even become far more powerful than the eye entity who continued to watch over them. Much like with Mono and Six, we theorized other children could take the power of other Residents for themselves and harness it to cause devastation onto the eye entity and everything it has built.
We have seen Mono use his power to drag the Tower towards himself and we have seen Six lay waste to every Guest who dared cross her path as she made the decision to leave the Maw, making I and many other theorists realize something...children such as Mono and Six, have always had the capability to destroy the very structures which were desperate to keep them...they were always capable of destroying the world around them...they needed only to realize and accept the opportunities and the truth which stood before them.
We have always theorized structures like the Maw and the Tower feared the loss of their host, because without a host like Mono and Six, and the power they inherited, the Maw and the Tower could not survive, they would be doomed to die...just like the Mall from chp. 3 of the sounds of nightmares (more here), leaving the eye entity to suffer at the the loss of the most powerful structures it was linked to. Although Mono and Six's story remain unfinished for now, this does beg the question...what's going to happen to Low and Alone, our newest protagonists for Little Nightmares 3 ?
Despite spending years in the spiral, Low has never lost hope in finding a way back home, and despite the horrors we know he has faced during those years, Low appears to have managed to persevere through it all thanks to two things, 1. a single piece of paper which we have theorized details the "mythical place" he is obsessed with finding, a place he believes holds a gateway home and will finally allow him to escape the nightmarish world he has been trapped in, and 2. his friend Alone, the incurable tinkerer who can't help but uncover the secrets of the spiral, down to its very source. From what little we have seen in the trailer and limited gameplay, Low and Alone's teamwork has allowed them to surpass obstacles neither would be able to overcome on their own, an all too familiar partnership and an all too familiar scenario we have seen in Mono and Six as they journeyed together through the Pale City to make sense of the Tower/Transmission. Such friendships between characters have always been a comfort to see in the world of Little Nightmares, it has always been a comfort to the characters as well. However, it is this very sense of friendship which has made I and many other theorists realize a cruel and unforgiving reality time and time again...such bonds...are detested by the eye entity who continues to watch over the children.
The eye entity and all extensions of itself, have always been theorized to maintain its survival and control over everything and everyone through the use of its hypnotic light and its many corrupted Residents.
But it is precisely this level of control which has allowed the eye entity to break the will of others and leave them vulnerable to its influence, allowing it to continue to survive and thrive.
It separates anyone from those they held dear and forces them to accept the only hope they have in escaping their cruel reality is by giving themselves to it. Those who fail to realize its existence and the control it has had over everyone and everything, are doomed to fall prey to it and its world…so then....what would happen to Low and Alone if their hopes were crushed??
As mentioned before, Low wants to find a way back home and escape the spiral, while Alone wants to follow the secrets of the spiral to its source. The two of them have thus far been shown to be loyal to one another, determined to accomplish their goals together...and yet...perhaps it is this very hope and drive which has displeased the eye entity.
What am I trying to say? Well, if the eye entity truly has a preference for those who have lost all hope in their lives, if it truly wants children like Noone to surrender themselves to it, to its world, and if the Residents are truly devoted to helping the eye entity accomplish it all, then...what would happen if everything Low and Alone believed in was put on the line?.... what would happen if whatever it is they found at the end of their journey... was not at all what they hoped it would be? Would they fall into despair, turn against each other and relinquish themselves to the Nowhere, to the eye entity itself? ... just as Noone did near the end of chp. 6...just like Mono did to the Tower near the end of Little Nightmares 2?(more here).....or.... would they discover the same truth Six did about the all seeing eye(more here )? Discover what it planned for them, what it did to them, and if they did...would Low and Alone make the decision to accept their cruel reality for what it is.... and fight against the very creatures, the very world, which has and will continue to torment them?....honestly who's to say.
At the end of the 18 minute gameplay which was released to the public back in 2023, we see Low and Alone together as a dark mist slowly surrounds them, the same dark mist Noone saw in the Halfway place(the space between the human world and the Nowhere), the very place the eye entity has always been hiding in.
As Low and Alone stay close together, fearful of whatever is behind the mist, they take comfort in each other's safety as they hold each other's hand. As the two hold hands, all we hear is the sound of whispers beyond the dark mist, whispers we know all too well as the whispers of the eye entity and its many eyes...the eyes are watching Low and Alone, two children who continue to surpass the spiral together...and they do not like what they see…and if they do not like what they see, then....what will they do to Low and Alone?...I guess we will have to wait and see... For now, it's just a theory...a Little Nightmares 3 theory.
