1st year

Started Hogwarts

Friends with Lily, James, Sirius, Peter, Mary, Marlene

Has problems with the girls dormitory, but Dumbledore (whom I hc as a transphobic gay man) casted a spell to let him in

Some problems in school due to dyslexia, but still gets good grades, thanks to Lily

Doesn't have much dysphoria,

2nd year

Cut hair

Insecure about his scar at first but learns to accept it (and if anyone bullied him the boys and Marls would take care of it

Takes out earrings to look 'less feminine'

Gets closer with Sirius, James and Peter

Slight dysphoria, but isn't really bothered

Tells his friends he's a werewolf

Discovers Bowie

3rd year

Cut hair even shorter

Hits puberty

Got in a fight with Severus

Wants to appear as masc as he can

Borrows Sirius's quidditch jumper

Terrible dysphoria

Finally comes out

Yk what I'm thinking about? Mary McDonald. And I am going to make it everyone's problem.

She was born in Brazil and she lived there until she was 7. Her mom is Latino and her dad is black. She speaks fluent Portuguese. Her family, especially her father's side, are VERY religious. She has an older sister, younger brother and sister (who are twins). In England she lives in London with her family. They were quite poor. They lived in a small apartment. They lived close to their grandparents from the father's side. They were old very religious and conservative. And I hc that Mary is a trans woman. She didn't realise until her second year at Hogwarts. McGonagall was the one who made it possible for her to transition. However when she was coming back for summer she would have to make herself look like a boy, so her family won't know. They were the kind of people that would most likely beat her up for it. Her dad was obsessed with toxic masculinity. He would make Mary do typically "masculine" stuff when she was younger. She was trying to suppress her femininity most of the time she was home, but it didn't work. Most of her summer she was miserable. She couldn't get her transition potions and would be constantly deadnamed and misgendered. She only came out to her family at the end of 7th year when she knew she wouldn't come back. She wrote her family a letter. She was hesitant to send it, but Marlene and Lily changed her mind.

She was very feminine. Her favourite colour was pink. She absolutely LOVED cherries. Her favourite band was ABBA. She loved heels, makeup, dresses and all the stereotypically girly stuff. Her best friends were Lily, Marlene and Sirius. She would also hang out with other marauders a lot. She was in the dorm with the marauders for the entire first year.

She was very extroverted. She loved parties and dancing. She was a people person. She was very popular. Most people found her at least pretty (though not everyone wanted to admit that they were attracted to a trans girl, cause yk, it was the 70s).

Regardless of all that she also got bullied a lot. She was a muggleborn, dark-skinned trans girl. That was the "perfect" target for Mulciber, Avery etc. They would pick on her, call her slurs and stuff like that. They also would call her sexist stuff for having a lot of relationships with guys (sl*t, wh*re, etc.). Marlene would regularly curse them for it. She was assaulted by Mulciber at the end of their 5th year (it needs to be talked about more btw). Mulciber was "expelled" from school after that, but his family was very influential and he got back.

She was bisexual. Her first crush on a girl was Marlene, but she was too scared to admit it. She also had a crush on Lily in like 4th/5th year, but she didn't confess to her.

In the 5th year she met Emmeline. Em was tutoring her for the OWLs (she was a year above). They both developed a huge crush on each other. They started dating in Mary's 6th year. They were actually adorable.

She didn't want to take part in the war. She definitely could fight, but she didn't want to. She was scared of losing all of her friends.

After the war her and Emmeline wanted to get custody of Harry, but Dumbledore was a stupid d*ck.

Between wars she was trying to reach out to Remus. He was living with Emmary for a few months after Halloween in 1981. They got a lot closer.

She also became friends with Amelia Bones and Emma Vanity (Em's besties)

She didn't want Emmeline to fight in the second war. They argued about it a lot. When they last saw each other Emmeline promised to be careful and that Mary had nothing to worry about. But she didn't come home. In the morning Mary found out that she got killed. She considered obliviating herself, but she stayed for Emma.

After the war they would lift each other up. They were good friends and each other's reason to still stick around.

If she lived today she would like 2000s music, doja cat and artists like that. Her favourite Taylor swift album would be 1989.
