me and my friend had this funny headcanon that we've kept for ages and its just that toadsworth does not like mario and luigi but because peach likes them (and she loves mario) he just has to put up with them but every few moments toadsworth will take mario aside and be like "If you do anything to harm her or she ends up harmed on your watch, I'll end you myself." and mario chuckles awkwardly and joins back with everyone else like "haha, yeah, tysm toadsworth, haha"
yall needa hear me out on my toadsworth hated the mario brothers around their first arrival.
me and my friend wrote on it and its just funny to think about toadsworth keeping the bros away from the princess and encourages peach to find a different suitor and suggests like princes from other kingdoms and peach is like "i want that one, plspls" and mario is just behind a fence that he had built specifically to keep him out.
or when the bros come back from the events of superstar saga with firebrand and thunderhand, toadsworth just builds a fence around their house to keep them there until they are confirmed harmless and mario the entire time is SEETHING.
