This is how tiny baby brown frogs are
Day 19 of posting cute creatures we found on our field trip:
Today, we have THREE species of brown frogs:
Agile frog (Rana dalmatina) is the most common species of brown frog. Very small, very fast and very cute. It has the longest legs of all brown frog species.
Greek frog (Rana graeca) looks a lot like agile frog, but it’s easy to differentiate them because Greek frog has dark colored throat with a white line in the middle like this:
And the third species is:
common frog (Rana temporaria) which lives on higher altitudes compared to the other species. All of these frogs live in wet forests, not in ponds like their aquatic cousins green frogs (Pelophylax).
