I was looking at a list of Fairy Tail characters the other day and found out that Wakaba has a daughter. I didn’t really try too hard find out anything about her but since I didn’t find a name for her when I googled it I decided that her name is now Juliet.
Hear me out. When Waianae and Macco found out they were having a kids at around the same time, they decided they would have to give them a couple name so that one day they would magically fall in love and their families would be united.
Since they were having a boy and a girl, the first names they thought of were Romeo and Juliet, because it’s such an iconic couple name.
So yeah, Wakaba has a daughter, and her name is Juliet.

I fucking love context clue worldbuilding, that talks as if the reader knows what you're talking about, and to keep up they'll just have to nod along like "okay, alright, so this is a thing", where like you descirbe shit like
"The globe was as large as an egg" - okay so they're usually smaller than an egg? or if you'd have said "as small as an egg", it's still the same fucking size but now we know they're usually larger than an egg?
"She owned both of the two tallest hats in the county", okay so this is a place where the height of a woman's hat is something people generally care about? Looking at the way this character otherwise behaves, this is clearly a flex.
"His scowl was as frightening and beautiful as those of gilded temple dragons" okay so there are temples in this setting, and they have scary-looking gilded dragons in them, and also the narrator finds red flags sexy.
I often look at the artists here and see how they’re 23-26 and amazing at drawing bots and I get so self conscious.

The more I see the phrase “eldest daughter syndrome” the higher it raises my hackles. It’s just parentification. It’s parentification and if you call it parentification it’s a lot easier to explain, and it’s a lot easier for the younger siblings or only children and children of any gender to identify it happening to them too.
Like I get that oldest sibs are more likely to be treated as accessory parents of their youngers, and I get that in a lot of families girls are pushed into caregiver roles, but fucking hell man parentification can and does happen to any kid regardless of birth order and gender, and while situations vary from family to family, there isn’t really anything the parentified oldest daughters are experiencing that the other parentified kids aren’t.
