following the post in regards to helping gather attention to Steven universe on the 21st, I've brought myself out of my temporary hiatus to try drawing some of my favorite characters within the show in 30 minutes, I intend to make more art for Steven universe from here on out to help bring back the show in whatever way i can
this show means the world to me and hearing that it might come back, I want to do everything I can in order to help- I know I'm a rather small artist and haven't gotten all too much traction just yet, though I still want to try and help the franchise that has made me the person I am today. Rebecca Sugar needs all the help she can get for Steven universe, whether it's a spin off show or continuing Stevens journey, Steven universe and Rebecca Sugar need all the help it can get, so to anyone who's been keeping up with my art (and/or don't mind the unwarned hiatus- sorry about that-), please send your love to Rebecca and her show. whether it's watching the show, getting merch, or even just giving other Steven universe fan artists like myself attention. anything helps-
we can all bring back the show together, and hopefully keep it going without anything to stand in our way

But she has two differet collored eyes and three or four hands, so, she might be a fusion...... This would means there was/were other fusion(s) before Garnet? And a fusion can be corrupted without defusion......

So, to be able to create a fusion, you need a (half)gem, a body made out of light and the most inportant: a partner to fuse
A fusion could be stabile or unstable, depends on the components' relationship. The most stable ones (who are always or mostly together) called Permafusions (like Garnet)
However, a stable fusion (even a Permafusions) could be made unstable by disagreement. And an unstable one could turn into a stable one, as well

On Homeworld, the only way to fuse was to fuse with the same type of gems. In this way, the fusion will strongly resemble to her components, maybe will be bigger, that's all

And here comes the fusions, made out of completly different gem types......

Here is my theory:
The better the gems relationship, the more single-gem like they. For example:
The gems, who love/like each other very much are humanoid with only some "fusion extra"
There are are the gems who are more partners or friends than BFF, they are haveing multiple eyes, arms. In all together, they are like more person in one body
And there are the Monster Fusions, with multiple everything, bizzare and more monsterous shapes. Usually they hate each other or their reason to fuse is bad, that's why hard to form and control them. However, they sometimes surpisingly effective.....
So, there you have it, I hope you could syncronise with theory. 😉

SU Thoughts
*Now I really need Pearl and Lapis to talk one on one. They both show forms of PTSD(I think? Correct me if I’m wrong please. Perhaps a better term would just be trauma or?) and bottling up their problems only to have them explode later on. But also, Lapis tends to solve every problem by running away(until recently-you go girl). You know who else did that? Rose Quartz/Pink Diamond. Pearl has seen the fallout of someone who runs away constantly and after finally revealing some of the secrets she's been forced to keep might now be able to admit that that is never the way to solve your problems. Also, Pearl was still trapped as a servant to her Diamond this whole time- something Lapis, being trapped in the mirror and a fusion, would most likely be the best one to point this out to her. Their conversations, if handled well, could be phenomenal.
*Jasper and Bismuth would be a good pair to talk one on one aswell. They both were wanting to shatter someone who was actually who they were serving. And who they held in the highest esteem was lying to them the whole time. Bismuth wanted to shatter PD for RQ, Jasper wanted to shatter RQ for PD, but they were the same person the whole time. They went through the exact same thing, just through the opposite perspective.
*Garnet having to break the news to the Off Colors after telling them the story she thought was true for so long...would be heart-wrenching. Would the Off Colors still want to come to Earth after all that? Or would they run off in the opposite direction as soon as Lars makes it back home?

Merry Christmas @latexkaktus ! the theme was lapis being nice to C-jasper, forgiving is a nice gesture right? this was for my part for the jasper secret santa @jaspyxmas holiday event. i hope you like it!
The reason why I drawed them as Yin and Yang, despite not being seen together (yet) on the show is quite simple.
Blue is a diamond, the most powerful kind of gems. She's on the top of Homeworld's authority and the perfect representation of the color that gives Blue her name.
Jasper is a quartz. A gem warrior who serves Yellow Diamond (Blue's...sister?). She loves fighting, being fused with Lapis and wants to destroy Rose Quartz.
They are too different but also too similar just like Yin and Yang. I'll start explaining their similarity. I know it's hard to believe that those two gems have something in common. It's possible that they had never seen each other. But they are connected by their common feelings about Pink Diamond and her shattering. It's like the song "Both of you" says:
"You might not believe it but you have a lot in common, you really do. You both love me..."
They both have been suffering for almost 6000 years due to Rose Quartz, who shattered their beloved Pink Diamond. After all this years they both are still living in the past, even thought it seems that the other gems have forgot what happened. They try to keep Pink's memory alive inside them in their own way. Blue is taking care of Pink's belongings while Jasper is searching for her murderer in order to take revenge.
In addition to all the evident differences they have as a result of being 2 different types of gems, they show two radically distinct ways of express your feelings, in this case the sadness of loosing someone, opposite between them like Yin and Yang.
Blue is still crying over PD's death. She goes once and again to the places that had belonged once to Pink, sinks in regrets and has gotten that deep in her sorrow that she doesn't know how to get out of it even with Yellow Diamond's help.
On the other side we have Jasper, our proud, brave and full-of-rage Jasper. She masked her sadness and her mental breakdown with rage and apparently indifference, but when it came to the end she exploded which caused her corruption.
They are both wonderful characters with elaborate backstories. I just hope that we will see them again.
This is the first draw I ever posted on Internet, as a member of a SU amino,and I wanted it to be my first post here. I’m kinda proud of it, since the design met my expectations back then. Nowadays, every time I look at that, I remember how many evenings and nights I spent colouring it digitally (I was starting and I didn’t got a great app so...)
I hope it’s not too long for my first post ^^
