What if marriage therapy, but too much?

Thor Odinson and Peter Jason Quill have been married for just over a year, but during that time, their relationship began to suffer as both men often had disagreements that either led to vicious verbal arguments or physically violent brawls. Both men possessed explosive tempers and unyielding levels of pride, but they also knew that they loved each other so much and refused to even consider the idea of getting a divorce.

Plus, their chemistry was electric and insatiable as far as their sex life was concerned.

At the advice of a relationship counselor, Thor and Peter mutually agreed to sign up for Reconcile.

Developed by an international team of behavioral scientists and psychologists, Reconcile is a rehabilitation program where couples experiencing severe problems in their union would be sequestered in an isolated and undisclosed location. They would be housed in a controlled environment with the appearance and amenities of a typical domestic smart home powered and monitored by an artificially intelligent assistant.

The individuals who signed the contract stating that they have given their full consent to participate in Reconcile are required to perform a series of simulations varying in emotional or psychological intensity that must be completed within a specific time frame which is determined by the AI assistant after gathering the data collected from the subjects via an in-depth pre-screening examination and several interview sessions.

The primary objective of the program is to improve the compatibility level of a given pairing at the end of the testing phase and will only be released from the premises if they are able to reach a match percentage of at least 99.8 percent.

While this unorthodox system of relationship therapy boasted a high success rate and backed by supporting testimonials from people who graduated from the treatment, it was not without its fair share of controversy from critics who viewed Reconcile as an unethical and dystopian torture experiment.

But Thor and Peter were desperate and wanted to save their marriage no matter what it takes.

And off they went to their designated residence.

Failure to comply with the requirements of the regimen or attempting to leave the facility before the end of the timeframe will result in severe consequences.

Thor Odinson and Peter Jason Quill both love being in nature, living for adventure, and chasing thrills.

As a result of their lifelong interest in the great outdoors, they grew up to pursue careers that suited their passions: Thor founded his own apparel business that centered on a nomadic lifestyle, while Peter became a successful freelance photographer for several top travel magazines and publications.

Fate and circumstance brought them together when both men met for the first time at a hostel in Greece while on separate vacations. Their attraction was immediate when they bumped into each other in the communal dining area.

And it was here when they also heard of an urban legend circulating among the global backpacking circuit: a secret beach on a remote tropical island inhabited by an elite community of international travelers who shared a deep dislike of the commercialization, gentrification, and cultural destruction of tourist locales.

Believing the rumors to be true, Thor and Peter teamed up and took on the seemingly impossible challenge of finding this supposed hidden beach resort populated by vagabonds who hate beach resorts. Their search led them all the way to Thailand, where they managed to get concrete evidence of the existence of their journey: a map mysteriously slipped under the door of their room while they were staying on the Khao San Road in Bangkok.

The map presented an illustrated rendering of the Gulf of Thailand where it marked the location of the beach on one of the many scattered islands. On the corner of the worn, folded paper was a name presumably from the person who delivered the map to them: Thanos.

With the map in their possession, Thor and Peter began preparations to make their way to the destination that has eluded so many of their peers with wanderlust inclinations.

Through sheer force of will, the intrepid pair managed to overcome countless obstacles and actually succeeded in their goal: the beach was real, the people who lived in it did exist and were kindred spirits, and life on the island was exactly like the rumors had described it: heaven on Earth.

Of course, Peter and Thor celebrated their arrival by having sex on the beach on their first night.

But little did they know that their new life and burgeoning love amidst turquoise waters, white sands, and verdant greenery would be threatened by the gradual unraveling of secrets and intrigue from their fellow beach community members on the verge of splintering into various factions and allegiances; some of whom are willing to do whatever it takes to protect their precious little secret from the rest of the world at all costs...

Ok I just watched Episode 2 and I enjoyed it. But like, someone at marvel had to pitch that storyline and the idea of that is just making me laugh! Like, I just imagine some writer who hasn't slept in 72 hours running purely on stale coffee bursting into a meeting and being like 

“Ya’ll. I have the greatest Idea for a What If Episode! Ok... So T’challa will be Star Lord, Yondu kidnaped him instead if Peter Q and they go on galaxy saving adventures together. Also Thanos is good and Nebula has blond hair.” 

And the Marvel execs being like “You crazy son of a bitch I’m in!”

Like it just makes me laugh. I feel like whoever the writers are they have been spending a lot of time on AO3 for this series so far. 

Overall just a really good episode and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

So, I was rewatching Guardians of the Galaxy and I realized something.

Gamora is a strong woman, literally trained by Thanos to be a living weapon and a great assassin.

But what my idea is that Gamora probably has the full capability to PICK UP QUILL WITH GODDAMN EASE and I'm imagining a scenario where this happens and it's fucking hilarious.
