Prompt: Billy Batson and Captain Marvel are technically the same person but different entities. Like, Marvel is basically the knowledge and guidance of past Champions that gives Billy advice and companionship. I don’t really know how to explain this, but I guess think Oscar and Ozpin from RWBY.
Any who, the prompt is Billy gets some mental damage or something and has to do some last resort thing where he retreats back into his mind while Marvel takes control of his body. Marvel does his best to act like Billy, but there are some clear differences. The League notices something’s off and eventually comes up with the conclusion that something happened to him, whether it’s mind control, body switching, shapeshifter, etc. Que everyone trying to ‘save’ Billy while trying to keep the ‘bad guy’ in the dark on what’s going on.
If the Shazamily is in this, they’re either happily oblivious, staying out of it, trying to calm things down but end up making things worse, or going along with it for whatever reason. Anyone in the know is doing the same.
By some twist of fate, Wally overhears Shazam admit that he has 6 siblings and Hal overhears Batman saying to Superman—in a very broken, tired, fatherly mansplaining tone—that he has 7 children.
Dots are connected. This does not end well for anyone.
Billy fic idea where all the heroes and their close ones get kidnapped/transported, and after JL frees itself, there is the questions of where's Marvel and who the hell is that random family - and is that a tiger? Anyway, the Vasquez family tries to play dumb but they're too casual around heroes and other weird stuff.
Idk where the story would go from there, but I can imagine Billy lying his ass off the next time he sees the Leage like "Oh, yeah, they. Eeeeemmmm. I kinda time travelled? Like I'm from the future. Yeah. That's why they're all full of magic like that. They're... they're gonna be the new wizards?" And that either causes him more problems or helps him a bit bc in the eyes of others it explains a lot!
I think Billy would creates a language only he understands and that makes sense to himself.
Since he doesn't go to school he has a lot of free time.
He also probably had trouble with the English because of all the rules and expectations so he just decides to make up his own.
Later when he's adopted by the Vasquez's and becomes the Shazamily he teaches them the language as a secret way to communicate with each other. (or the bat family)
They talk about superhero stuff right in front of people and they talk crap about people right to their face.
(it also might help with the lasso of truth)
I love the idea of the Shazamily being overprotective of Billy, especially Mary! I was thinking of the comics with Guy Gardner calling Captain Marvel "Captain Whitebeard" and Cap being annoyed explaining that his name is Captain Marvel even going as far as spelling it out.
If Mary or Freddy were there they would try to fight him but Cap would stop them before they could do any real damage. So they would have to resort to being petty like name calling, pushing his chair out before he sits, ignoring him, malicious compliance, and not being in a hurry to help him in anyway. Captain Marvel would act annoyed but would do the same if the roles were reversed! Don't mess with Billy or any of the other Shazamily!
Chibi Shazamily AU
(Chibi is a style of caricature originating in Japan, and common in anime and manga where characters are drawn in an exaggerated way, typically small and chubby with stubby limbs, oversized heads, and minimal detail.)
Imagine if a magical villain turned the Shazamily, except Captain Marvel, into chibi versions of themselves! Captain Marvel now has to take care of all his brothers and sisters, hiding them from their parents, and find a cure (it doesn't help that they can fly). It's even funnier if Captain Marvel has to bring them to the Watchtower for monitor duty because he can't find a babysitter in such short notice. I see the whole justice league just falling in love with how cute they are! They all just want to hold them and give them candy despite the fact Captain Marvel is telling them not to! Batman is giving Captain Marvel the best parenting advice for handling a group of children.
Do you guys know the Sturniolo Triplets? There exactly how I imagined the dynamic between Billy, Mary, and Freddy. Nick is the older brother and is the responsible one so he's a representation of Mary. Matt likes spending time alone, doing what he enjoys, and the other half, he's a social butterfly which ties into both newer versions and old versions of Billy so well. Lastly there's Chris who is the most funniest and dramatic guy ever which is exactly like Freddy!

He knows everything about every movie. The time it was made, who's casted for who, WHO AUDITIONED FOR WHO AND WHY THEY WERE REJECTED.
He's a horror fan, I confirm it.
If you get scared easily or don't like horror movies, whenever you'd watch some on movie night, he has no problem with turning it off or cuddling you to comfort you. If you jump or flinch he deffo kisses ur cheek and whispers reassuring words in your ear.
"Fuck." You whispered as the jumpscare happened, you had no idea how Freddy liked these movies, how he doesn't flinch or jump at the loud noises. You look up at him, he gives you a little kiss on the cheek.
"Hey, you'll be okay, don't worry, I'm here." He whispers in your ear, you smile at him before giving him a kiss on his lips, you laughed at his face as you noticed him blushing.
He definitely adores watching superhero movies with you, he gets so excited and jumpy, has to show you his figures and comics and wears the hero's merch, if you guys were going to watch superman, he'd wear a superman shirt, if you were to watch batman, he'd wear a batman mask.
He definitely wants to be a film school major, its canon bcs i said so.
If you ever ask him a question about the movie he wouldn't be upset, infact bro would not stop talking through out the film.
