TUMBLR INVESTIGATORS: I need your help!!! Waverly Hills sanatorium, a nurse name mary ruth lee. I want to see records of her working there and death records, etc. I have looked at the patients list and I can't find the staff list. Also I can't find any info about her even though we know she worked there and "supposedly killed herself". As a woman myself I always believed there was more to the story. I need help.

New: Search operators for better searching!
We hear you, and we share your frustrations: it’s hard to find a specific post. You know it has a particular tag or phrase, and it was posted on this date, or at least, within a specific year. But you can't find it!
So, today, we’re excited to announce that you can use ✨ advanced search operators ✨ in the search bar now! You can now say potato from:staff year:2021 to easily enjoy that video of a potato being microwaved again.
Before we jump into the details, a couple of caveats to note:
These search operators are only available in the main Tumblr search bar. They don’t work in the search bar in individual blogs.
The search operators only work on posts created in 2017 or later.
OK! Let’s go explore these operators!
Exact phrase match
When you surround your query with regular double quotes (not curly quotes), it will match posts with that exact phrase in the post's text content, or that exact phrase as a tag.
For example, "chappell roan is roan of arc" matches posts with that exact phrase in the content, and also matches posts that have the exact tag #chappell roan is roan of arc.

Match operator
By default, the query matches the post on either the text or the tags.
You can use match:text to specify you want to search the post content, or match:tags to search the post tags. For example:
sword world match:text looks for posts with the words "sword" and "world" in the post content.
sword world match:tags looks for posts with the words "sword" and "world" in the post tags.

From operator
Use from:blog or from:@blog to find only posts by a particular blog.
For example, halloween from:staff finds all posts by @staff that has the word "halloween" in the post content or tags.

Year operator
Use year:YYYY to find posts from a particular year.
For example, halloween year:2019 finds all posts from 2019 that has the word "halloween" in the post content or tags.

Date operator
Use date:YYYY-MM-DD to find posts from a particular date.
For example, halloween date:2019-10-08 finds all posts created on October 8, 2019 that has the word "halloween" in the post content or tags.

All together
You can combine all the tools above to form even more specific queries:

Congrats! You’re now a Tumblr search wizard! 🪄
Other syntax
As a reminder, you can already search by a tag, or by multiple tags:
Prefixing your query with # performs a tag search — that is, it will find posts with that exact tag. For example, #star wars will only return posts with the #star wars tag.
You can search for multiple tags at at time. For example, #star wars #art will find posts that are tagged with both the tag #star wars and the tag #art.
You can combine this with the new operators to find what you are looking for!
A guide on how to use the new operators has also been added to our Search and Filtering Basics Guide.
Tumblr Patio support
The enhanced syntax makes Tumblr Patio even more powerful. You can now open multiple search columns each with different fine-tuned queries that use the syntax above to get you customized feeds.
Feedback
We’d love to hear what you think! Please share your feedback in the replies and reblogs of this post, or by reaching out to Tumblr Support.

Me: oh! Yeah! That! Woops
Sometimes I’m looking for something online - often “how to” articles - and I want to filter for - like - a website that was clearly built in 2010 at the latest, which may or may not have been updated since then, but contains a vast wealth of information on one topic, painstakingly organized by an unknown legend in the field with decades’ worth of experience. I don’t want a listicle with a nice stolen picture in a slideshow format written by a content aggregator that God forgot. I want hand-drawn diagrams by some genius professor who doesn’t understand SEO at all, but understands making stir-fries or raising stick insects better than anyone else on this earth. I don’t know what search settings to put into Google to get this.
video description: an AO3 tutorial narrated by a female voice. She is answering the question, "is there a way to include two separate tags? like to show me fics with fluff OR angst and it doesn't have to have both?"
"This is a great question because you might think that you want to do this."
The narrator zooms in on the filters menu where Fluff and Angst have both been added as other tags to include.
"But this actually means that I want to have both of those tags together."
She then explains that if you want search results that contain either one of those tags or both of them, the user should instead use the Search Within Results field at the bottom of the filter menu.
To create a filter for either fluff or angst, she instructs the user to type
fluff || angst
into the field. She explains that || means or. She also explains that you could use the word or in all caps instead like this
fluff OR angst
She then demonstrates search results with one fic which has the tag fluff, one fic that has the tag angst, and one fic that has both tags.
At the end of the video, she notes that if the tag you want to include in your search has more than one word (meaning there is a space between the words), then you should put quotation marks around it.
Note: you can string together multiple ORs, so for example
fluff OR angst OR hurt/comfort OR crack
Looking for a job is as hard as searching for LOVE :(
Its a sad reality. Well, it is at least for me. I just realized that things i want or need are not really easy to earn. Hardwork and patience are important in going through these processes. It'll be a very long way and yes expect it to be very tiring and tough. You'll get nervous... Excited... Upset... Rejoiceful... Or maybe disappointed and hurt. But along this challenging process, you'll learn more abt life. You will be able to correct your mistakes, and change your tactics in order to get your trophy--either a loved on or the job that you've always wished for-- faster than you've expected.
Aigoo i hope this will be my chance... I won't let this pass as easy as people around me imagines. I will grab this chance and hold onto it as long as i can. I dont wanna regret anything but i am also willing to be disappointed and hurt coz thats reality. Life is hard and it will forever be like that unless you make a move and be the start of the change- improvement- towards success.
