After literal months, potentially half a year, I don't know, I can't keep track of time, I have finally posted the first chapter of my take on @star-mail's Virus! Shen Jiu AU (With permission, of course :) ) and here's the link!

SVSSS fans, has anybody read/wrote a fic where Shen Qingqiu realizes he's a fangirl somewhere in the middle of the story? Not that he's in love with Binghe but fangirling. I've read a few where SQQ realizes System is a fangirl, but his rants prove he's one too.

I don't think we're playing into the sheer comedic effect Huli Jing (fox spirit) Shen Yuan has. Because first, a Huli Jing's first form is female. A gorgeous girl and then after a while they can get a guy form.

But think about it. Him meeting Shen Jiu in different instances in different forms and SJ just straight up acting completely different is so funny to me. Because like Shen Yuan would act practically the same but SJ is such a hater about him when they met in his male form. SY is confused about it.

SJ meeting guy form SY: Who the fuck is this guy? Why is he smiling like that? Ew, why is he like that? Get him away.😒

SJ meeting girl form SY: Oh my a kind jiejie. She's so elegant. She's smiling at everyone, she must be a kind soul. Her mannerisms are a little different but she's nice. I like her company.

SY: ???? Do you like me or not????

what if shen yuan had a personality/history that was closer to shen jiu (a ruthless street rat), and the only main difference between them was that sy actually liked the 'protagonist', binghe? i think poor bingbing would have fallen even harder/faster tbh.

i just think it would make an interesting dynamic, and maybe make it easier for bingbing to accept his demonic side and instincts if he saw that humans can clearly be epic and badass and ruthless and still be capable of kindness. that his demonic instincts don't make him any less of a person.

after all, if shizun can be... like that, and he's a human, then why would it be a problem if binghe was a bit more... attuned to his instincts too?

instead of bingge or bingmei, what if we spoke about OUTLINE luo binghe? i will be calling him bingdi from here on out

bingdi wasn’t supposed to have a harem. he was supposed to end up alone. like yeah he’d bang when he wanted to but no wives. shen jiu was supposed to have a fleshed out back story. the entire thing was supposed to be deeper and darker.

let’s drop shen yuan into the mix (as per usual) and see what happens. i personally think he’d be a wandering cultivator and shen jiu’s little brother. that adds to his og fleshed-out backstory. ofc he’s gonna meet airplane (platonic soulmates in the worst way possible) and he’s gonna wifebeam bingdi into submission

i just think it would be fun and new and interesting to drop him into THIS universe because i’ve never seen anyone use the draft as a setting. it’s just so fun to think of a non-bingmei binghe not occupied with wives. wtf is that guy doing? i wanna know. AIRPLANE ANSWER ME. anyways what is svsss fanfiction for if not experimenting??
