In ACoWaR during the meeting of the High-Lords and during the War, Nesta felt the power of the Cauldron.
It effected her to the point of physical illness (probably mentally as well).
So when Feyre and Rhys destroyed the Cauldron to pieces, broke it's very essence - I am positive that Nesta FELT that as well, felt what is was like to be broken into pieces as if she herself was being torn apart.

Now where is Ithan descendant from? Because it seems too much of a spotlight on his ice powers for that to not be a reference to something but i have no idea what its referencing

To me, fantasy books is home. A comfy little nook where I can put my safety blanket and dream about characters with difficult names to pronounce who try their best to save the world. To save themselves.
I love them. Books and characters. Even cringy ones. Horny ones. Funny ones. Because they are all can take me back home. To safety.
No matter how mature I become with time, I always have an opportunity to be a dreamy girl with childlike wonder and strong desire to get happily ever after.
I love the ACOTAR series so much. It was one of the first fantasy books I read and the story is very dear to my heart. Having said that, I am terrified of what Sarah J. Maas is planning for the characters. With Nesta having a "redemption" of sorts after we were told repeatedly how horrible she was to Feyre, and specially the fact that Rhys is was hiding things from Feyre. I think we can all agree that even if it was meant to "protect" her he did more harm than good. Not only that but the IC agreeing to keep such an important fact from her. I think Feyre is being set up to have lost everything that she though she gained when she left the Spring Court, and it is going to be absolutely heartbreaking.
