He went by many names, Kon-El, Conner Kent, Supernova. But no matter what moniker he went by, he was always a hero. Ever since he popped out the tube passionate and rebellious. He, alongside Olympia and Impulse, represented the next generation of youthful superheroes with their daring rescues, cutting edge looks, and irresistible charm.

Kon’s been a hero for eight years now and has gotten it down to a science. His days of making naive mistakes are over. That is… until Tim Drake-Wayne throws a wrench in his plans. Or more accurately, a cake.

Supernova and Tim Drake-Wayne are caught getting into an argument at a charity gala, and it ends in buttercream property damage and headlines in the newspapers.

So the Justice League and the Waynes stage a fake friendship between Supernova and Tim Drake-Wayne as damage control. But can they convincingly play along after their long-standing petty hatred? Kon thinks Tim is a stuck-up rich brat, and Tim thinks Kon is a vain showboat. But along the way, Tim and Kon realize there is more to the other person then their previous impressions. Something alluring. And it threatens the tower of secrets the two boys are precariously balancing.

“Hey Timbo…” He drawled, and the man somehow stiffened up even more than he already was. Kon discreetly used his X-ray vision to check if Tim was actually a robot in disguise, but no, he was just an uptight human man. “Does your ass ever get sore from that stick you have jammed up it?”

“Does your jaw get sore from how often you run your mouth?” Tim retorted calmly and sipped on his champagne, cool as anything.

He was so perfectly composed and it only made Kon want to poke at him more — to see what it would take for him to crack.

“I’m invulnerable.” Kon reminded Tim. “It’s part of the Kryptonian package.”

“Does that package also include an incessant need for attention?”
